Fire Breathing Remy

Rate this book
It’s the night before Lennox Ledoux’s wedding.
The most exciting day of her life, right?
Why is she envisioning the steel bars of a cage slamming shut?

When a huge, red creature crashes to the ground a few feet away, she’s the only witness.
When it transforms into a hot, naked guy, she’s still the only witness.

Remy swears he and Lennox belong together.
And, boy, does she want to believe him.

But he’s clearly drunk and delusional.
Besides, she can’t get out of the wedding now.
Not with guests in town and the entire event paid for.

Can she?

“Do you know what day it is?”
His wide, beaming smile lit up the night. “The first day of our future together.”

Remy the sweetheart and Lennox the unsure flower.. 5 stars!!

Remy and Lennox's story is my favorite of the series so far! Remy was such a sweetheart and just adored and loved Lennox from the very beginning, supporting her while she learned to trust and stand up for herself. I really felt for Lennox and the abuse she's suffered because of her parents, and I cheered so hard when she finally stood up for herself. I loved seeing all of the couples so far, and I'm excited for sweet Armand's story next ♡

Well this one was better up until half way through

I am starting to think their is something in these dragons spunk that causes the women they bed to go retarded afterwards because it never fails after they get through their honeymoon faze they go straight retarded! The previous books drove me crazy with it and I was hoping the author was going to skip over all the drama in this one but nope in stead of coming up with something better I got to spend the rest of the book reading on and on a bunch of crap! Remy saves Lennox from making the biggest mistake of her life by marrying the wrong man, she falls head over heels for the big guy and he is totally up front with her about everything his Dragon side, how they're mates, everything that comes with being a dragons mate. She spends her whole honeymoon vacation time with Remy at his castle but when her vacation time is almost over she starts up with the whole drama. Remy is a sweet heart though he goes and lives with Lennox even though living in the city is very hard on him and his Dragon he does it for her. As time goes by more and more Remy is starting to feel neglected he notices how hard Lennox works to make everyone happy, except for him that is til finally one day he has had enough. Remy tries to tell her how he feels and she blows up at him and tells him she has her own life basically he needs to get his own. She was a total Biatch to him, which seems to be a pattern with these women in her stories they all have a tendency to be overly witchy. That really did ruin this series for me, the author could do so much better if she got rid of the relationship drama the Ms. Independent crap gets old. Add some drama but swap it up every other book not the same stuff every time if you know what I mean anyways I hope that makes sense that's my two cents check it out if you have KU but if you don't I wouldn't recommend buying it.

I wish it had more.

I would have loved to see the next conversation with the parents and so on. Just felt like it was missing part of the story.

Remy was the best part of the book and series. I realized half way through that this was going to be one of those series where the women dont do it for me at all. It seems that every single time the heroines become mated to the dragons, no matter the situation, they become increasingly difficult. Something beyond struggling with learning of the dragons and mates. No matter her personality. They'd just jump off into the deep end of difficulty. Remy deserved better. He was a sweety pie.

Fated mates!

This the fourth book in Candace’s series Dragons of the Bayou. I love Candace’s writing. Her development of the world building and characters for this series makes the book both easy to read and attention grabbing. Remy, Blaise’s twin, wants a mate. He definitely doesn’t want to go crazy at the eclipse. Remy, after a night of hanging out with the mated pairs and drinking way too much of Armand’s brew, crash lands in dragon form in the garden of a very posh hotel in New Orleans. Suddenly he gets a whiff of the most delicious scent. The scent of his mate! Lennox, is in the garden, stealing some time away from her disastrous rehearsal dinner and getting cozy with her beignets and cheesecake when suddenly something falls from the sky right in front of her. Remy, takes matters into his own hands, literally picks Lennox up and flies away with her. There are some intense scenes between these two as they learn to mated and mates. These two are sweet and romantic with each other once they get the hang of being in a relationship. Of course there are some sexy scenes between these two! Loved this book! Can’t wait for Ovide and Armand to get their mates!

ONE THRILLING READ!!!
OMG! Talk about hitting the ground running. If you like living on the edge with a plethora of events, emotions and intense cravings, congrats my friends you've found it. Twisted, twinned and put through the wringer as you watch totally frozen to your seat, holding your breath waiting for the other shoe to drop. Drop it did. One action packed, hard hitting, fast paced, heart pounding, pulse racing, page turning dynamo that demands your undivided attention and you follow willingly. All the drama, uncertainty, fear and a little suspense builds as tension spirals bringing this bad boy roaring to life beautifully. Twists and turns, ups and downs, along with a few hitches, bumps and bruises that rock this read with every word. Following the characters along witnessing their personalities transform and blend. The characters were so realistic, intriguing and complex with a undeniable connection between the two main characters. Talk about off the charts chemistry so intense it's palpable. The scenes were so vividly detailed and descriptive it gives the illusion you were right there in the middle of ground zero with them. Candace didn't skip a beat bringing this bad boy together perfectly. Remarkable job Candace, thanks for sharing this little guy with us.

I really liked this book, more than book 2. We have our human Lennox and our sassy dragon Remy. It starts when Remi is drunk flying and falls into the garden at Lennox’s practice reception dinner the day before her wedding. He knows she is his mate. Usually our MFC befriends other mated humans for support to learn but this time, for once the human has a friend that already knows about shifters, and we have the best scene of “best friend gives potential partner the run down of hurt my best friend and ill fuck you up” chat. We love supportive girlfriends. And i like how Margot the said best friend (whose family member married a shifter) stops Remi (by knocking his ass out) so Lennox can make her own choice. She is torn between appeasing her family and being her own woman, which has to be her own choice. Although, of course, we get our HEA in the end. Its kinda funny how Remy sees Margot as a “witch” (she is not), but ultimately she helps him get the girl. the banter is really funny, the smut is smutty and the voice acting made the story feel.
the third act break up really got to me and i wanted/needed Lennox to grovel and earn Remy back. She was too scared to stand up for herself and that pissed me off a little. Remy had a heart of gold and didnt/ couldn't understand why Lennox didn't prioritise him as much as he did her.

*WARNING* contains explicit adult situations
Lennox is to be married tomorrow. Lennox has been told that merging families will make her parents a lot of money and not to worry because David it just sowing his wild oats, that won't last forever. Lennox knows she has to go through with it, but is it what she wants?
Remy is a big, red dragon shifter without a mate. Remy is happy for his twin and friends who have founds mates, but knows his time is getting shorter to find his own. Remy wants a mats but on this night he drank way to much of his buddies special brew.
In much shifter books, they can't get intoxicated, I really like that they can here and find it comical how he met his mate. I like that Lennox finally decided to find her backbone. This was a good story with parallels to Remy's past and Lennox's parents. I always find the 29 year old virgin thing far fetched though. I would recommend this to adult romance fans.

This one is so good. Like I said, previously in the earlier reviews of the series, I bought the whole series at one time. This book is amazing, it starts with the night before Lennox is due to be married. She is outside of this rehearsal hall trying to breathe, her parents are a nightmare, and their job is to make sure she marries this wealthy man. What Lenox wasn’t expecting or wasn’t sure she actually saw what she did, was to see a big dragonfly directly into a wall and it is head. Not to mention when he changed into a gorgeous man but naked. Their meeting might not have been conventional, but it was special. Remi was drunk off his butt, and right before him is the woman of his dreams and his mate. There was no way she was going to marry that idiot, if he had to steal her away on her wedding day. Which she did. This book had a really good happily ever after, and when your prince comes to get you, you go.

Lennox was engaged to a man she didn't love all because she didn't want to end up alone and to please her parents. Remy was getting wasted once again because he was surrounded by happy couples with no mate in sight. One drunken detour later and Remy virtually crash landed in Lennox's lap. of course no one was happy with these turn of events the night before Lennox was supposed to marry Daniel except Remy. With the idea of marrying Daniel making her ill, Lennox knew she had to give her feelings for Remy a chance. Because Lennox was so used to being a people pleaser, she began taking her relationship with Remy for granted and almost lost him forever. I laughed so hard when Lennox nearly blinded herself trying to hide Remy from Margo and Nance.

I really enjoyed this book because there were parts of it I could see myself in.

Lennox is a woman who isn't that confident. She avoids conflicts and lets most people push her around. The book alludes to it being like this her whole life starting with her parents. She finds herself engaged to a man she doesn't even think she likes in order to make others happy.

Remy is a little down seeing his brothers finding their mates and blissfully happy. One night of too much drinking, he crashes in front of his mate who is set to marry another.

I really liked this book because I could see myself in Lennox. I am also someone who avoids conflict like the plague and can hurt the ones I love because I am afraid to tell others no. I loved watching Lennox come to this realization and I approve of the steps she took to improve herself.

Lennox and Remy story

Another well written book in the Dragon of the Bayou series. I enjoyed Lennox and Remy’s story and their chemistry together. Their romance started very quickly, and then you started to see the issues in the relationship. It was interesting to read about Lennox issues with saying no and not prioritising herself and good to see become a stronger women after meeting Remy. I would have liked to see more of the other characters and more about the Bayou. Interesting name choice for the female lead. Every time I read her name I thought she was the male, I guess it’s one of those names which can be used for both genders. Looking forward to reading the last two remaining books in this series.

Remy is Blaise's twin and a Prince in their world....Lennox is a 29 year old virgin who he meets the night before she is too be married Lennox's Mother and Father are horrible people who belittle her at every turn her Mother made the match for Lenni and can't believe her daughter who is a "people pleaser" would not go through with the marriage.... Remy remembers how unhappy his own Mother was with his tyrannical Father and has vowed never to do such things to his own mate if he is lucky enough to find her....When he sees Lennox he knows he has found her now to convince Lenni before she marries another male.....another quick read and hot Dragon Shifter enough sex to keep it interesting (if that's your thing) Candace Ayers can bring the heat and turn it up

This one was just plain cute—in the best way. Remy is completely devoted, and he makes it known in every way possible. There’s no playing it cool here—he bends over backward for Lennox with total sincerity, and it’s impossible not to root for him.

What really stood out, though, was Lennox’s arc. She doesn’t just fall into Remy’s arms because he’s persistent—she has to work through her own walls and realize that her hesitation isn’t about him, it’s about her. That kind of self-awareness is rare in lighter paranormal reads, and it added a welcome emotional depth to the story.

The romance still sparkles, but what gives it staying power is how both characters show up—for each other and for themselves. Sweet, sexy, and grounded in real emotional work.

Book four gives us the other twin, Remy, as his thoughts stray to the thought of being put out of his misery if he doesn’t find his mate. Lennox is a “yes ma’am” women as she says yes to everyone to keep the piece. So she ends up up on the verge of getting married to man she doesn’t love. Well until Remy falls from the sky. All hell let’s loose and it’s a case of will she or won’t she at the church? Will Lennox realise where her heart truly lies? Will Remy loose his chance of a mate? Loved Remy but I did shout a few times at Lennox when she was pandering to her parents. A good read and can’t wait for the next one.

Fun PNR series

This fun Dragon shifter romance series is filled with quick, steamy reads.

In this series, a group of dragons have escaped years of being hunted in their own world and have settled in the swamps near New Orleans. As they each find their human mates, hilarity ensues as the dragons try to figure out how to fit into the human world and win over their women. While comedic at times, the stories also have some depth and explore issues that come to light with a new relationship.

Guaranteed an HEA at the end of each story, these books are a fun way to spend an hour or two.

Fans of comedic and paranormal romance will enjoy these fast-paced stories.

No Closure!!!!!

It pains me deeply to say this but, so far in the series this is my least favorite book. I absolutely loved Remy! He is officially my new book boyfriend, but his mate Lennox left a lot to be desired and he deserved way better!!! I can't say more because I don't want to spoil it for those who haven't read the book yet. My other issue with this story is that we got absolutely no closure with what went on with Lennox's parents, and that was truly disappointing. I still recommend that you read this book, Remy alone makes it more than worth it, and especially if you are reading the others in the series. Mature eyes only due to hot 🔥shifter loving!

Could have been 4 stars. A bit predictable.

Candace Ayers is a really good writer and this is the fourth book in the series, that I’ve read. Personally for me I felt the dragons were a bit wimpy. Doing everything they could to make the women happy but the women were getting on my nerves! Especially book two and three. I really liked Lennox’s character in a way. It’s seriously confusing the she’s such a doormat with everyone but him. Him she’s fine with messing around, and keeping him dangling. The sex scenes are really well written though and smoking hot! So much so I actually felt jealous of a character in a book. Worth reading even if a bit predictable.

Lennox and Remy

My favourite book on this series! I feel like I say the same thing every time I finish a book on this series but I swear they just keep getting better and better. In this one there is not major dramas about accepting the dragon part of Remy witch was a nice change. This story was more relatable, a insecure girl trying to get acceptance from everyone around her and not been able to say no. Love this couple so much. Can't wait for the other 2 dragons to find their fated mate. Highly recommended

I love this series and although this isn't my favorite of the books, it is still worth reading. Remy is as clueless as the dragons that found their mates before him which adds humor to the story. He was VERY lucky to find Lennox when he did and the situation it threw them into made it a challenge to work through. This is definitely a fun read that also deals with more series issues like how you prioritize your relationships.

This is the fourth book in the series and each one of our dragons are unique personalities. Remy was hilarious. I mean, a drunk dragon hitting a wall? Lennox was so cool and not freaking out when she found a dragon turning to a drunk naked man. I love her best friend, standing up to Remy, her parents and her fiance. This one was funny and heart-warming. I requested an advanced reader copy and am under no obligation to leave this review.

Last one in is a draggin' dragon

Remy loves his dragon-moonshine a little too much. When he gets likkered up bad enough to crash a wedding rehearsal dinner (literally) his unexpected intended turnout to be the bride-to-be! And her Momma an' Daddy ain't havin' it. Her fiancee ain't havin' it. HIs gal is pretty sure there's no HEA for her, but Remy clears his head and makes it plain - He's finally found The One and he's not lettin' go.

Move Remy's Story

Fire Breathing Remy, book 4 of Candace Ayers' Dragons of the Bayou series is wonderful. Remy is everything a girl could want. Lennox has a part that's complicated and present that's downright insane. They are perfect for each other. Their story made me laugh, angry, sad, joyful and proud. Can't wait to read Armand's story. I can't wait to see if his mate is who I think if is.

This was a great read and an excellent addition to this series. Remy and Lennox were just amazing together. Their story offers lots of drama, emotional tension, humor and steam. Their chemistry was very hot and the emotional connection between them very sweet. I just loved it. This is my honest, voluntary review.

Hilarious

Remy and Lennox continue the series about Dragons of the Bayou. This is the 4th book in the series and while it continues the hilarious antics of the dragon shifters I just didn't think Lennox was close to as admirable as the previous mates. She was such a wuss bit was annoying. But, I did enjoy the book and look forward to seeing the last 3 dragons find their mates.

Great book! Remy was hilarious. Finally the other twin finds his mate. In the beginning, Lennox came across as meek and mild, but quickly found her voice and claimed her dragon. This was a fun book to read. I enjoyed all the dialogue between the dragons and Remy with them all giving advice and trying to help the guy out. Fun story!

Amazingly adorable

Lennox is about to be married to a man she doesn't wanna marry, when low and behold a big red dragon falls from the sky behind her. Remy was drunk and following an alluring scent when he crashed into from the sky into a wall. Little did he know, that alluring scent was his mate. With some struggles, mates will always find a way to each other.
