The Struggles of Dating after Losing a Spouse

I enjoyed reading about the dating struggles of people over 40 In this cute with a pinch of spice novella. I loved how Campbell gives us every emotion a child would have when their living parent starts dating so soon after the death of another. The hand written letters was a great touch and a great way to get to know each other in this world of technology. I would have enjoyed the ending without ...no spoilers. Pick this one up. You will enjoy Zabrina and Kevin's story along with a little matchmaking.

Well done! Enjoyed the theme of mature adult love. The theme of love after losing a mate was sufficiently powerful. This author has become one of my favorites and i enjoy the storytelling and creativity. The grammar and writing was excellent. I read the book quickly with ease. Continue writing and I will continue reading.

Great novella

I'm really liking this author. Her books are well written, straightforward, yet thought provoking. I couldn't help but get caught up in this quick romance, especially since it dealt with grown folks seeking love after loss. Kelvin's actions disappointed me at one point, even though I understood his reasoning. That ending was just what I had hoped for, though - love after forty.

Enjoyable quick read

I liked this story and it was a quick read, I just personally would have wanted something a little more cleaner. The story in itself was really good, but a 4 or 5 star book for me is something that I would recommend or re-read.

Yesssssss!

Love is it for me! This story shows how instantaneous love can be when you're not looking for it. I would have been like Zabrina in thinking it weird to date my daughters boyfriend father. But like Kelvin pointed out, he wasn't his biological father.

"Forty-Something Kinda Love" by Khara Campbell

My Opinion:

'Forty-Something Kinda Love' was an excellent romantic story featuring Kelvin and Zabrina after they had both health with losing their spouses. The author did a fantastic job of bringing these two together, which was promoted by their children [Brian and Zana], dating each other. It was so sweet reading about Kelvin and Zabrina exchanging letters. Seeing how both of these two people had suffered from their loss and yet, in the end, finding another love. To see how well this author brings it all out, I would recommend you pick up this good read to see how well this story will grab your attention all the way to the end.

okay.

I liked the premise of this with Kelvin and Zabrina, a widower and widow, finding instant attraction when their dating kids introduce them, but worrying whether they’re ready to move on from their beloved late spouses. However, this had a few teething issues with editing, the pacing and flow of the plot which felt really quick, and the awkwardness of the spicy scenes- which felt a little forced. I picked this up because I love seasoned romance and older characters and at its most basic level, this didn’t disappoint.

Great read

Grabbed my attention from the start and held it to the end...mature love is right up my alley lol. Although it was complete, I didn't want it to end...it was so enjoyable. When Kelvin and Zabrina were exchanging letters, I was reminded of pen-pals exchanging letters back in the day...thought that was a great touch of the story. I'm so excited about the book..I feel like I need a moment before starting another book.😊

Lovely

I am an avid reader. Because I read so much, lately I have gotten very selective in what I read. It is a joy to have found your books. You are one of the few authors I enjoy reading. Look forward to reading more from you. I do enjoy stories about older adults and Christians themes as well.

I’m over 40 so reading this book was refreshing. It reminds me of the relationship I’m in now. Two divorcee’s over 50 with a total of young adults. Really exciting and I’m enjoying the ride. Continue to bring more books like this and I’ll be a forever reader…

Grown & Healing

The good thing about the grown & sexy is that they play no games! Kelvin and Zabrina had both lost their spouses and were hesitant to date. Once the connection was established, the healing and new love took over! Loved this novella!

Over 50

This story was cute but unrealistic. The relationship moved too quickly and the ending was anticlimactic. The characters appeared desperate. Older people have much more debt.

Short but to the point. When you get a certain age you no longer want to play games. This story shows that there’s life after loss.
