This was a goodin!
Good slow build (not too much OOC), still pretty canon-compliant, didn't delve into any crazy dark Death Eater tropes, and the pendant communication was a sweet addition. Author did a good job at staying canon-compliant without seeming redundant.
And even with the ending, I respected the author for not taking a typical HEA.

I’m very picky with SS/HG fics, and this is one of the best I’ve read aside Pet Project and Do Not Go Gentle. I will say my only gripe is how often certain body language things are used (“swallowed,” “throat convulsed,” etc.) idk why it bothers me so much, but it’s like visual misophonia for me.
