BB brings us another wonderful book with a little dark treat involved. I am loving the Pine Grove treat she has in store for us every time we visit. And this time is no different.
Dawson and Celine are two very different people, but by the end of this book, you will be surprised by what love will do to you. Just because Dawson and Celine only wanted a couple nights together doesn't mean that is all they will get. With a couple hot nights together under their belts, Dawson never dreamed someone from his past would show up at his house to kill him. So now they are both on the run. But will Celine stick it out with him? or run away at the first sign of trouble?

A man like Dawson
I received an ARC of this book and as always this is an honest opinion. This book was great it gave me that virgin heroine the scarred Bad boy on the lamb. You are fighting for their love even though you know they don’t need to be together. Is she just sweet and good enough to make him change ? Will she be the one to finally learn who Dawson really is ? Maybe she will maybe she won’t but it is your job to read like I did and fall for these two the way I fall for all of Ms. Hamel’s characters. Love loved it, I can’t wait until the next book.

This is part of the Pine Grove series and can be read as a stand-alone. This is a good girl meets bad boy and sparks fly. Dawson is running from his past and if it catches up with him could her Celine. Can he keep her safe? Plenty of drama and suspense. I was hooked from beginning to end. I liked it.

Running from a past you do not want catching up to you, ending up in a small town is just one thing that Dawson has done. Celine has left this small town for school, but she came back because her mom needs her so she takes a job at a local bar. This bar is the beginning and meeting place for Dawson and Celine.
Near closing time is when Dawson strolls in. He isn't really a local, but he isn't an outsider as much anymore. He keeps to himself, pays in cash only. But seeing the girl behind the bar is the anchor he never had, and wasn't aware he needed.
They both seem pretty drawn to one another, both not sure what that draw is. Dawson has dark secrets in a dark past he never wants to be a part of again. Celine is the complete opposite, a good girl, right down to she is still a virgin. Fate holds the cards, and these two are going to have no choice but be together.
Dawson and Celne waste no time heating things up. Just as things heat up a piece of Dawson's past comes back, and this time it has included Celine in the vengeance of it all. The many twists these two go through seem to be what will break them. But dark needs light, just as Dawson needs Celine. With the help of someone (who you will remember from book 1) the twists that are happening have a way of opening up dark pasts and letting secrets come to light. Once exposed, the crossfires seem to be something they deal with together.

Very fast pace steamy and dirty and semi darkish just a warning
Celine and Dawson both have moved to this town to start fresh, dawson has been there 6 months and celine a week.. they already flirting and feeling a strong attraction towards one another.. I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.
In this book we meet Celine Booth and Dawson Spark. Celine has just moved to town and the last person she every expected to meet is a man named Dawson. One look and she is hooked one touch and she can feel the sparks. Dawson knows he shouldn't have walked into that bar that night. Once he did he should have walked away from her. There is just something about her though that draws him to her. They both have secrets and if they come to light it will be possibly deadly for them both. They wonder will being together make them more or destroy them both?
This is another amazing hit by this author. It does have its ups and downs that I really want to tell you about. However I don't want to ruin the surprises for any other readers. I will say this book will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. Another great installment in the Pine Grove series. I loved Dawson and Celine. These two are complete opposites, she's a good girl in every sense of the word and Dawson is, sexy, mysterious, and dangerous in more ways than one. When Dawson sees Celine working at Hammy's, he smitten and wants her which is a foreign feeling for him, it's been a while since he's had that wanton feeling. Striking up conversation with Celine turns into so much more. Dawson doesn't share much of his personal life and there's a reason for it. He's not a good man, but deep down he's got a heart of gold. Only he's running from his past and it's about to catch up to him and they will both be in danger. Loved this book, the series is awesome, highly recommend this book and I can't wait to see what's next.

This is the 2nd story from Pine Grove and we meet Celine who is a young woman out on her own after caring for her sick mother until she passed. Celine finds a job in Pine Grove as a bartender and lucky to have it! Celine has never had time for boys and finds herself to still be a virgin. Dawson is definitely a bad boy type of an older man with a dark past that not is known. Dawson has been in Pine Grove for 6 months and being good until one night he sees Celine at the bar. Dawson has an undeniable need to have her and Celine is having feelings in her body she is not familiar with and knows she should stay away from Dawson but wants to experience more in life. Their journey is one interesting event from ups and downs and the past catching up with Dawson putting Celine in the middle of it all! I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Completely unpredictable and additive
I loved this short story : the characters, and the story, are also unpredictable, it is very well written, with extremely steamy scenes between the two main characters. The story seemed to start as a cute little romance between a barmaid and a customer, in a lost city in the United States, but in a few chapters, when the heroine Celine, discovers who is really the man she is with, Dawson, and why he was hiding there, everything changes. Celine discovers as well her sexual initiation, as her iniation to her true nature. It's exciting in a few lines and I read it in one go. Not to mention that I did not expect at all this ending.

Loved Celine and Dawson's story.
Celine moved to Pine Grove to start fresh after her mother's death. She tends bar and pretty much keeps to herself. Dawson moved to Pine Grove to hide from his past. When he goes in to Hammy's bar late one evening he is completely taken by the beautiful bartender and he has to have her. Celine can't believe how handsome the man who came into the bar is and she definitely feels a pull towards him. Celine also has a secret and when Dawson finds out what her secret is, he wants her all the more. But what happens when Dawson's past comes back to haunt him? Will they come out the other side stronger or will it all just fall apart? Definitely recommend this book as a must read!

Fast paced and action packed in every sense of the word!
Celine was an innocent girl that got involved with a killer! A killer in looks and a killer in bed and a killer with his hands!
Dawson got away from the city and left that life behind him or do he thought. He thought he was being good not getting into trouble but trouble seemed to find him!
That first trouble was Celine the innocent looking bartender and then his past started to catch up with him!
Celine had no choice to trust Dawson, but both were drawn to the other and Celine wasn’t going to run off and Dawson wasn’t going to let her go!

This was quite a quick read and the second book in the Pine Grove series. I thought it had a good storyline with great characters although I didn't particularly find it very dark though. Because it was quite a quick read it didn't particularly a great deal of depth to it, although plenty of drama, intrigue, suspense and twists, plus plenty of steamy scenes which this author is known for. However personally for me the amount of steamy scenes for a relatively short book I found to be too much. I'm fine with these scenes when they fit in and enhance the storyline but not for the sake of having them to the extent where they overpower the storyline.

This is the second book in this awesome series. Celine is working as a bartender. Dawson comes into his local pub and there is instant chemistry between these two, yet they both have dark pasts to overcome. This is a beautifully written story which is dark, steamy, passionate, and with suspense, murder, and love. I was totally captivated throughout, and cannot wait to read more form this talented author, whose work I highly recommend for all.

Dawson and Celine, could two people be any more different. He’s world wise and ruthless, she’s sweet and innocent having led a sheltered life up until the day she meets Dawson. The chemistry between them is instant and undeniable. During a romantic night at Dawson’s place his past catches up with him and the rest of their story is intense and a page turner. I couldn’t put this book down until I got to the end. I received an arc and am giving my honest review. I can’t wait for Ms Hamel’s next book.

I’m not one for virginal undoings by a stranger. I thought the story was a good one until Celine decided to hook up with a patron of the bar she worked at. She saw him twice as a customer then went to bed with him, giving up her virginity. Dawson was on the run from his drug lord past living in a s,all town until his past came back to try and bite him in the ass. Long story short he got the virgin, bent her to his will and regained his empire. If you like quick moving everything then this is the book for you. I prefer more substance

This is an interesting story of two really strong people – Dawson and Celine. They meet in the bar where she works – and an affair quickly develops. However, it isn’t your normal boy meets girl story, because it involves criminal activities, violence and some pretty dangerous people. The main characters are well drawn, the sex and spanking that takes place is well described and enthusiastic – and the story was exciting, as well as sexy. This is a dark and erotic read that starts off with a bang and just gets better. This is the second book in the Pine Grove series that I have read and it kept me wanting to read it throughout. Good character and character development. Great alpha character in Dawson and a Celine while inexperienced is not naïve and very independent. No one in Pine Grove seems to be who they seem. Quite the enjoyable read.

I received an ARC and I'm freely reviewing.
This is book 2 in the town of Pine Grove. Minor characters are still there but we get a whole new couple. So there's no need to read book 1. We meet Dawson and Claire in this one. Both are fairly new to town and meet by chance. Both are drawn to the other immediately and the adventure begins. It's a quick read and it's engaging for readers. I look forward to the next book.

Great addition to the Pine Grove series! At first look you would think that Dawson and Celine are nothing alike. The drug Lord and the innocent virgin. Yeah right, Celine is definitely not innocent in any of this. Dawson sure can pass it out as well. These two make a strong couple. Character development is on point as well as the smut factor!! I really enjoyed this story and can't wait for the next!

Intense read
I really enjoyed this book, young woman meets older man at a bar and decided to take a chance on becoming something new.
This book was so good that I stayed up well pass the time that I usually go to bed, it was such a page turner that I just couldn't put it down.
The only part that I didn't care for was the fact that the couple decided to continue to be the bad guys, and not take the chance to have a clean no killing life. Bummer!

Small Town Big Secrets
Marcus and Celine are both running from their pasts… although they come from different lives they both end up in this quiet dead end town. While trying to escape their pasts they find each other- both a missing piece for something bigger. But will one night together be enough to stand against the demons that return?
This was such a fun novella! Short, spicy and sweet. I’ll definitely read the rest of the series.

Celine wanted a change in her life and Dawson came with a dangerous and intense new life. Dark, violent and steamy hot story with action, suspense, betrayal, protagonists facing a mortal treat and an explosive passion that they could not control. Looks like Pine Grove attracts intriguing and dangerous characters. Liked the intense and exciting scenes.

WOW I was not expecting this. I never read the excerpts, I don't want to spoil it. It is a dark romance filled with action, suspense and a lot of sex. It is well written with interesting characters who are the exact opposite of each other. It is fast paced and will have you on the edge of your seat. It's a good read if you like dark romance.
