Hot Hot Hot!!! A woman dropped by her boyfriend before Valentines day and a cop who stops her from making a major mistake and ending up in jail decide get married to make Harpers ex jealous.You can feel the chemistry from these two right away. Tyler and Harper are on fire when they connect sexually. They may have started out wanting to make an ex jealous but these two rapidly start to have feelings for each other. Both having been through the same experience of an ex cheating on them. This is the first book I have ever read from JL Caid and it was AMAZING. A MUST READ. Just like all the others he writes as Jaxson. Jaxson Kidman writing as JL Caid is HOT, steamy, and funny. This book will draw you in from the first page. I love this side of Jaxson. He says he doesn't put a part of himself in these books like he does his others. But I still believe he is in there. The statement "be my whiskey girl" I loved it and I see that as part of jaxson Kidman.

What happens when you get dumped the day before Valentine’s Day? Do you curl up and cry for an age? Do you go out and have revenge sex? Or do you go out get drunk and accidentally marry the guy your supposed to have revenge sex with? Under Your Influence is the dumped getting revenge and then some! Harper believes Brian is going to marry her but instead he dumps her and gets engaged to someone else the next day. Caught by Tyler, a cop in the act of throwing a rock through Brian’s house window, Harper ends up meeting him for a drink. A few drinks later and they end up married. He loves her curves and she ends up with the best revenge - true love. This book by JL Caid is just perfect. It’s realism and humour makes for easy reading and worth far more than the maximum 5 stars I’m allowed to give. And of course the sex scenes are so hot I almost melted whilst reading. Can’t wait for the next JL Caid book!

Well here we go again down the chocolate river, with Willy Wonka, I mean he does say stop don’t get on the boat, but we know he really wants you on that boat and he controls that river. But what our dear Mr Wonka does is suck you into the river, this time he takes you on a wild ride, and you don’t know which way your going. You even feel like the chocolate river may even be heated because it gets pretty dam hot on that ride and you just want a taste of it like Augusta Gloop but ooops you fall in the chocolate river and then he gets his little Oompa Loompa’s helping sending you up the pipe, they suggest you should listen to them, but it’s so dam hot you can’t hear them - well done Mr Wonka.

Tyler and Harper
I really enjoyed this book, it was a quick and easy read with very steamy sex scenes and a LOT of sex in it . Tyler and Harper fit really well together , Harper is a very sassy person whom is insecure and doesn’t feel attractive, and has just been dumped by her boyfriend the night before Valentine.Tyler on the other hand has this sexy look about him and a mouth-to match it, and is a cop. There are some Funny-scenes in the book which makes it an easy read and an amazing book to read. I loved it and recommend it to be read. 5***** Stars from me JL Caid

What a great read. A very different type of book to what I'm used to from this author, but he still didn't disappoint. It's light, funny, emotional; everything you want in a quick read. Oh, and the chemistry between the characters Off The Charts. If you are looking for something to read, I definitely recommend this author and this book.

I always know what I want to say to review a book, yet I have never been great at expressing myself, but here goes. I was given the amazing opportunity to read this as an Arc, something I have never had the chance to do before. I love Tyler and Harper. Tyler is hilarious, mouthy, heartwarming and incredibly sexy too (from what I can picture in my head). Harper is a strong women who knows her own mind, but being in a ‘habit’ of a relationship, made her forget how strong she really is. Tyler helps her to see the real Harper and stand up for herself. I need a man like Tyler in my life. This was my first book by JL Caid, and I am most definitely a fan. xx

A brilliant light, hot and sassy book!
I absolutely love all of Jaxson's books, but this was surprisingly a pleasant change JL Caid. I love the sassy, humour and hot connection between Harper and Tyler. The banter between all the characters was so much fun that I read most of this book with a smirk on my face ......and the rest of it was, well, just so hot and sexy! Can't wait for more!

I thought this was a really good book. I gave it 4 stars because I like a little more drama but, this was good. The male is ALPHA like I like and the female is me, sarcastic and feminine with a quiet/subtle dirty flirty lol.

Wow just wow! The chemistry between Tyler and Harper is so hot you can feel the heat coming off the kindle. Steamy, sexy and comical - you get the best of both worlds. The interactions of Tyler with his police calls are hilarious. I would die if I was pulled over and the officers spouse showed up 😂 beautiful words written that kept me up to the early morning. I was torn between needing to finish to learn more and wanting to slow down so it wasn’t over. Bravo darlin’🖤👮♂️

This is the first JL Caid book I've read even though I've read every Jaxson Kidman book.
This is what he promised. Fun, quick and hot hot hot!!!
Harper was reacting to her heartbreak and anger and Tyler was lucky enough to cross her path!
One quick marriage and a lot of back and forth banter (which was hilarious) and some hot bedroom action.
Perfect for a night snuggled on the sofa.

If you’re looking for a fast, over the top romance, that’s raw and real, then look no further. Heartbreak leads to a rash decision, which in turn becomes the making of Harper, with Tyler showing her everything she was missing out on with Brian. Enjoyed reading this story from beginning to end. Such a good Lol rom-com. I love how Tyler ceased the moment when he got the chance with Harper. The lesson they thought Brian, how Harper valued his desire to keep working as a cop and the realization of what they actually felt for each. Such a feel good story!

When your friend spies your ex out to eat with someone else the same evening he dumps you, you go with your best friends to the restaurant to confront him, only to find out that they had been with other for awhile and had just gotten engaged.
After confronting him, Harper, heads over to the Brownstone he lives in and while standing on the sidewalk staring at it, Tyler, a cop on duty spots her. When he gets out of the car to talk with her he notices she has a rock in her hand and is looking at the windows like she wants to throw it through one. He stops her from making a huge mistake that will cause her to spend the evening in jail. I wasn’t sure what exactly to expect from this book as while I am very familiar with the writings of Jaxson Kidman, his alter ego J.L. CAID is new to me. I shouldn’t have worried. Under Your Influence is everything it promises to be and more. It is a fast paced read that is action packed, funny, intense, passionate - ok, ok it is hot and very satisfying. The chemistry between Tyler and Harper is so well written that it’s intriguing while still being believable. Harper is broken hearted on the eve of Valentine’s Day when her boyfriend breaks up with her. She wants revenge. Enter Tyler, the bad boy cop who almost arrests her as she is about to exact her revenge. Together they come up with a spectacular plan for Harper to get back at her ex. This is a must read book that will introduce J.L. CAID to you with a bang. I am looking forward to more from him. I highly recommend you read Under Your Influence. You will not be sorry, I promise.

Juvenile & boring
I'd never heard of this author before, but love the 'woke up married' trope. However, I had to force myself to finish this book. While I liked Tyler, enjoyed his snark and wise cracks, the over use of the word darling was irritating. The big drawback for me was I never warmed up to Harper, the female protagonist. I found her to be shrewish, two dimensional and down right idiotic. Did the woman ever move her stuff out of her ex's place? I need several U-Hauls to cart my stuff around and I just never saw Harper had a life outside of some guy. Now we got plenty of Tyler's life as a cop, but only got Harper whining about her ex and then Tyler. So yeah, not my type of book as I prefer my female characters, even in a romance novel, to be slightly realistic. I won't be buying this author again.

Im rating this a 5 star but it deserves more than that.
This book was so good I didn't want it to end. I was laughing alot. Tyler was an amazing character. He was everything I thought he would be then some.
Harper was a mess but in a heartbroken way. She got dumped by her boyfriend the day before valentines day. Tyler is cop and he saw that harper was about to do something stupid so he went to stop her. As you would say the rest was history. Loved everything about this book. Jaxson It was amazing and can't wait to read the rest of your books.
For me I like this side of you better. This book was hot af. Its was knicker melting trust me.

Thigh clenching panty wetting awesome read
I just finished it I have to say this book kept me on the edge of my seat with wet panties cuz it was just downright oozing with pleasure I enjoyed every moment I love the fact that the author knows how to make a girl clench her thighs while reading a book. Mr. Kidman has done it again written a book that will be a good to you read on a rainy day with a cup of coffee or a glass of whiskey on the rocks. I really don't think there's a book that mister Kidman has written that you can stop reading it's a start and finish no ifs ands or buts in between. Took me all day to read and will do it again.

Yes, I have been dumped before but never on Valentine's Day. You spend time with someone and think you know them but then you wonder who am I with? I would love to meet hot alpha male cop and marry him! I have to admit Tyler's idea of just doing something crazy seems better than dating and getting to know your partner's family and friends. Ok, obviously sexual chemistry would have to be really high and you feel comfortable with that person immediately. Harper, please just a take a chance with Tyler. I know the dumbass Brian broke your heart but you deserve better! So, this book made me tear up, laugh and become flustered! This book has it all! Well done Jaxson!
