I love stepping back into the Paranormal Dating Agency world, and this time I’m also stepping into Ms. Glenn’s Otherworld Shifters world as well. I always love discovering a new Shifter world and a new-to-me author as well. (there are just so many books, so many authors to discover I often feel like I’m missing some of the best Shifter Romance out there simply because I haven’t run across them yet – you, too?) Anyway… I’ve joust found myself a new author and a new series to follow in Otherworld Shifters. I will be frank and say that Reverse Harem tropes are not my favorite, to be frank again I often find them to be more sex and less plot than I’m looking for. Yet, when they are done well with an intriguing plot, interesting characters beyond the steamy moments… it’s then that I truly enjoy this trope — and believe me, I enjoyed the heck outta Playing with Fire.

Now, do you have to have read the entire Otherworld Shifters series to enjoy Playing with Fire? No, you do not. I’m just entering this world and was not lost at all, everything that I needed to know in the way of the background was easily woven into the dialogue and narrative at the right time in this story. And besides, it’s the Paranormal Dating Agency world… what’s not to love about that just on the basis of the multi-author stories we’ve enjoyed?

I found Playing with Fire to be deeper on many levels than I first expected. Even without having read the earlier books I was well aware that Chell has been through hell and back recently and she’s proven herself to be strong in body and in the will to have overcome what she’s gone through. I found myself admiring her early on and that never wavered throughout her story. Troy and Gabe are unique in their relationship, their friendship and are simply men that I would want around in a dangerous situation or for a casual night out. I liked them for many reasons, mainly because they have each other’s back no matter what. Valdus – oh, this man broke my heart. He’s strong yet his personality has changed through what he’s gone through. He’s no longer the man Chell once knew – but he is so much more at times, and at others the man she’s loved deeply for most of her life.

There are vile villains to completely loathe in Playing with Fire. And we only get a taste of that evil to start as it grows into a true monster territory. In my opinion, there isn’t enough punishment in the world (this or another) for these men to truly face justice. (but then I can be bloodthirsty at times when favorite characters are attacked)

In all, I enjoyed my time in this world very much. There is an intriguing storyline, characters to love, loathe and lust after, definitely a steamy sexy time and love so strong it can be felt through the pages. So, now I’m looking for one other character’s happy ending… one day, I hope. But in the meantime, I’m heading back to the beginning of the Otherworld Shifters series to discover what I missed. If you enjoy Reverse Harems, if you crave more than a touch of danger and finding justice for someone’s wrongdoing, love a few laughs, some sexy moments and emotional read… then you’ll love Playing with Fire. I know I did.

Exciting and Interesting

It was a nice twist on the PDA and caught me a little by surprise. Always love it when a story just takes time for a couple to come together and it isn't rushed. The only issue I had was I was under the impression that a shifter always just knows when they meet their mate.

I did enjoy the dynamics with all of the characters involved in the story.

This book was so good and the story was for me very original. Not only is a woman the head of a bear clan on another planet but also takes multiple mates on earth. I love Alpha female stories and I think that each of the characters were so well written you couldn't help but fall in love with all of them. This book was fun, sexy and suspenseful.. Definite must read..

This was another fantastic story by Godiva Glenn. I love this series.

Chell is going to Earth to hand over a prisoner from her home planet. Gabe and Troy are firefighters who are on leave and at loose ends. Troy signs up for a matchmaker and is matched with Chell. Chell is surprised that she is matched with a human. She is intrigued by Troy and when she meets his roommate, Gabe, she is also intrigued. Troy and Gabe need to make a decision on if they want to stay on Earth for a job or to go with Chell, their mate. Along the way, they rescued another shifter from Chell's past. What will the boys decide?

A really good shifter romance.💞🐻💖💞

This is a unique alien shifter romance that has tons of twists and turns.

Gabe and Troy have been best friends since they were teens and their relationship has evolved into a bit more over the years. Chell is the alpha of her clan and is taking Soloman, the man who kidnapped her and tried to take over her clan, to his new punishment on Earth. She's also going to look for her mate while she's there. But things don't quite go the way they are planned. 💕💗🔥💕

First time read of this author for me and I will be looking for more of her books
Chel is escorting a prisoner from her home planet and she joins a dating sight she is stunned when she is matched with a human. Book four in the Otherworld Shifters series a well written book that held my interest throughout. There is suspense, drama, danger, a dating site that Chell gets in touch with, a villain, romance, travel to another place, one lucky woman with three great men. The PDA world is one of my favorites worlds and this book is a great addition! The characters were lovely and I love the strength of character our Heroine, Chell has. This is not an instalove mates book but rather a slow burning to the end relationship. I recommend this book, it was great to read.

I can’t imagine what it’s like sharing everything with my best friend but that is what Gabe and Troy do. They have been best friends for years, live and work together, and even have women together, if allowed. Their lives are turned upside down when Troy meets Chell, a shifter from a different planet.

This is the first book in the Paranormal Dating Agency world I have read, and if Chell is mentioned in the previous stories, then I would like to read them. Although this one is classed as a standalone, I would have preferred more background to what had previously happened to her. It plays a HUGE part in this book. She is how she is due to that. Bits are alluded to, but not enough for me.

This is well-written, with Gabe’s preferences clear from the beginning. It starts with Troy and Chell, then Gabe and Troy with Chell, and then finally Valdus makes an appearance. Valdus was the love of Chell’s life before he disappeared and now he’s back again. Just how or why he was taken wasn’t very clear to me though, so once again, I would have preferred more information.

On the whole, I found this book to be very enjoyable. It is certainly steamy in places and the story moves along at a fair pace. Gabe and Troy are the main characters for me, simply because you get to know them more. Chell is an odd-bod but everyone seems okay with that. Valdus was the one I connected to the least, but as I’ve said, it may be because I haven’t read any of the prior books.

Based in a world where shifters exist and can be from other planets, this book was a great read from start to finish and definitely recommended by me.

This was a sweet reverse harem PDA story that had plenty of danger, drama and action along the way. I liked all the surprises and the way that the characters handled it as well as all the emotional stuff when it became apparent that the two firefighters were going to have to make a major change in their lives to be with Chell. Contains explicit sexual content.

I love this author so much. She portrays women as such goddesses. They have strong alpha mates but have no problem standing up for themselves. If you enjoy this check out all of the PDA series.
