It’s appropriate that this interstitial cystitis book is subtitled “My Journey With Interstitial Cystitis.” With interstitial cystitis having different phenotypes, this book isn’t intended to address every case or apply to all people. However, it does provide an excellent blueprint for those who share similar symptoms and phenotypes to those the author describes.

Although I’m not able to use or purchase all of the supplements she recommends at this time, I may reach a point in the future where I can try them. Even so, the book gave me new avenues of healing to work into my regimen, and I’m very glad I read it.

A major theme of the book is decreasing inflammation, and I fully agree with that focus. While some readers might not enjoy the depth of her personal story and words of wisdom, I personally appreciated it. I related to many of the things she shared, and I feel that my interstitial cystitis phenotype and root cause are very similar to hers. Because of that, I valued this book a great deal.
