Fire in the Water

Smooth-talking Musician, Sanjay Thomas' "hit it and quit it" past has caught up to him. Like a Mack truck, it will flip him and leave him waffling, wondering if Jesus was only kidding about forgiving him.  Falling in love with best selling author, Celeste Francois, was unplanned. That romance placed him in a situation where a 'lie' will force him to make another life-altering decision; if he leaves her, he will save Celeste's fragile self-esteem and her amazing literary career from being destroyed, staying is no longer an option. Sanjay Thomas makes the sacrifice to abandon her ...but for how long?

Celeste Francois, a single mother with a pair of ten year-old high-spirited twin girls, Jonnay and Jeannette, is on a mission. Celeste is seeking revenge on the man who told her he didn't care if she thought she was overweight. He didn't care if she was more successful in her writing career than he was as a struggling musician. He said he just wanted her for her. She knew he lied when he suddenly disappeared without a word. .

Nothing has prepared her for the shock of learning the object of her hatred will return from the shadows fifteen years later until the church hires him to be the musical director for the Masterpiece she works hard to put in production. Now she's mad and conflicted enough to think she can persuade Jesus to let her have revenge on the man who's turned her world upside down, after that they can go their separate ways. Celeste brings her own brand of hell to Sanjay. Heaven help him, he's going to need it.

This book is Fire!!!!!

"Love wins the day."
I really enjoyed this book. I have read most of the authors books, and trust me there is Fire in the water. Love, betrayal, the bitter and the sweet all wrapped up in one.
Y'all we all need a Miss Linda in our lives.(read the book and you'll know what I mean).

God is good!

I am so glad to serve a God who blesses those who forgives. Celeste missed so much by being bitter and unforgiving. I loved this story and Sanjay (Sandra), he thought he was protecting Celeste by leaving. But what he should have talked to her first. Because he knew she had issues with her weight. But I loved the twins and Mrs. Linda was like any older busy body, but she was on a mission.

3.5/5 I felt this story was all over the place and I had to keep re reading to make sure I was understanding the story. I did get some good quotes, laughs and messages out of this story.

I've read all of her books and this one was good but not as funny as a few of the other books. (Somewhat Saved and Cuising On Desperation)
This is the last book I'm reading for the yr of 2025 looking forward to going into 2026!

BLESSED HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYBODY! 🙏🏾🥳 🎆

Great read

This book was like her earlier book. I couldn't put it down. Anger and unforgiveness, will suck the life out of of you. It will also block God's blessings.

This was definitely a different feel. A second chance, celebrity romance. A clean, Christian romance. I was surprised by a couple of the twists. A book about vengeance. A single mom. Redemption.

Forgiveness and Love

When we move ourselves out the way, God shows up and shows out. What a twist I didn’t see Ms. Linda as her family and Uncle Mitch actually being her dad!

Ms. Pat has another inspirational and inspiring story. This book gives an example of how we can turn our bitterness into forgiveness. It was also seeing Aunt Peaches as well as Pastor and First Lady in this story. Aunt Peaches hasn't grown, yet, but It was really enjoyable to see First Lady walk more in her calling and gifts from the short story they were all introduced in. I'm excited and can't wait to see what's next for the author as well as the characters.
