Gunnar Dahl is a famous mystery writer with a secret.
He meets Åse Halvorsen at the St. James Court Art Show in Louisville, Kentucky and feels instantly drawn to her.
She may be the woman of his dreams, but will their lives turn into a nightmare?
Åse Halvorsen is as beautiful as she is talented. And she is fiercely independent. But trouble (we're talking, BIG time trouble here) seems to follow her everywhere.
Gunnar is a protector, a nurturer, and above all a lover. His need to keep Åse safe is his burning desire. It won't be easy.
Åse is a jewelry designer we heard about in The Artist with David Drummond. She makes her living with her Åse Heartware business.
This is the first book in the Lovers in Louisville Series and has a guaranteed HEA. No cliffhanger. Adult themes and hot, sexy scenes are intended for mature readers only.
Ariella Talix is a best-selling author from Indiana who writes spicy romance because she loves a great happy ending. Her books are all either MF or MMF (“swords” cross) stories for readers who share her belief that all love is beautiful.
Ariella’s novels are full of humor and suspense. She has written both historical and contemporary tales. Her “Hearts of Gold” series is a thrilling saga based on the 1849 California Gold Rush. This was inspired in part by family history and would make a fantastic miniseries (an author can dream). Her contemporary books are filled with adventure and people who can’t live without their dogs, cats, and horses. Her women are strong, and her men are swoon-worthy.
If you get a chance to attend a book signing event, she would love to meet you!
And, in case you were wondering, "Ariella Talix" is a Pun Name.
If you slip her a shot of tequila, she may act out a scene from one of her books. ;) For more information on her books, please visit www.AriellaTalix.com.
Ariella Talix has delivered another wonderful storyline. She is becoming an expert at writing a romance novel mixed with enough mystery/suspense that leaves the reader wanting to keep reading to find out what is going to happen next.
I was lucky enough to receive an advance copy of Save Her and loved the story so much that I wanted to post a review. This book is a spin off novel of The Drummonds, but can be read without reading Make Believe or The Designer (Books 1 & 2 of The Drummonds series). Even though you do not need to read the other books, I highly recommend that you read them anyways just because the stories are so great!!! The characters from The Drummonds show up in Save Her in minor roles, but if you read The Drummonds novels you will definitely learn more about them.
Even if you are not a fan of romance novels I highly recommend giving this author a chance. This novel is so much more than a "romance". Without giving the story away, I will say that the main characters are very interesting and dynamic. The struggles and conflicts that are experienced by the characters are very well written and believable. Also, the “adult” content in the book is very tastefully written.
The main character is Åse, who is a fiercely independent and talented jewelry maker. I enjoyed reading about her jewelry business and her character development. Åse has to overcome a violent physical attack and receives help during her recovery from a stranger, Gunnar Dahl, whom she met at her art show. She reluctantly agrees to have help from this beautiful stranger because she does not have anybody else to help her. Her parents were killed in a tragic accident, her best friend has moved away, and she has lost contact with her only brother.
Once I started reading the novel, I could not put it down and did not want the story to end. I am definitely excited that Save Her is the first book of a new series by this amazing author. The Lovers in Louisville series is definitely going to be put on my MUST READ list of books.
I received a free advanced copy of this book from NetGalley.com. This is my unbiased and voluntary review.
The first time author, Gunnar Dahl, saw talented jewelry artist, Ase Halvorsen, he was mesmerized not only by her beauty and talent but also her kindness and patience to his young niece, as she picked out a birthday present for his sister. So intrigued that he went back to see her after the art show closing, and witnessed her being robbed and assaulted. He stepped in to help immediately, calling 911, and after speaking to the police, going to the hospital where he finds that she is all alone, having lost her parents in a plane accident and estranged from her brother. He pretends to be her fiancee and since she is injured and shouldn't be alone, he takes her home to his mansion. As she heals and they spend so much time together (and this being a romance), they fall in love. But someone tries to break into Ase's house, so she is still in danger. Several suspects make this a mystery. While the mundane parts of their lives are good for the characters, too many chapters about them, made the story drag for the reader and then the end is over the top. All in all though, nice character development and a gripping plot.

I received an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. I really enjoyed Gunner and Ase's story. I kind of thought the way the story stared was weird but as it progressed I really enjoyed it. The story line really sucks you in and puts you on edge. Also the adult content is there, tasteful and well written. Good read. I know have to go back and read the past books some of the characters make cameos in this story.
I picked it and loved it because it was placed in Louisville and the heroine of the story was a craft fair artist, which I am! The story had a wonderful mix of intertwining plots, characters, and suspense that I enjoyed. The editing was well done with very rare typos. Occasionally the dialogue was a little stiff, but not so much that it ever bothered me. I’m looking forward to reading more by this author.
Romance and danger go hand in hand in this exciting story Ase la jewellery designer and maker, and Gunnar the man who saves her, protects her, looks after her, and falls in love with her, on a rollercoaster ride that makes addictive reading, I love this author, you feel the emotions in her writing.

A wonderful storyline. Not just romance but with enough mystery and suspense to keep you entertained from start to finish. I kept turning the pages as I was eager to find out what happened next.
” Save Her-Lovers In Louisville-Book 1” By Ariella Talix is a tale of one Åse Halvorsen a beautiful & talented jewelry designer and one Gunnar Dahl a very handsome & wealthy author who meet under unusual circumstances ...when Åse is attacked & robbed while participating at a local Art Fair. Injured...alone & afraid...Gunnar takes Åse under his wing...and as she heals...and begins to straighten out her life...not only do the two fall madly in love....BUT tragedy strikes yet again. Will Åse survive ?!? Will the malcontents that dog her every step ...prevail?!? OR will Gunnar and those who have learned to love her... as Gunnar does ...rescue her ...in time?!? The danger is chilling ...the suspense nail-biting....the love epic....and the relief overwhelming...in Ariella Talix’s tale of two lovers bound & determined to succeed against all the evil that is strewn in their way. A hot & steamy romance with a heart of gold. Read and see. Much enjoyed and Highly Recommended. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Copy of this book.
Book 1 of a new series is always exciting and Save Her didn't disappoint.
Gunnar seemed too good to be true. All the way through this book he continued to show this most amazing side to him. So attentive, affectionate and loving. He would be anyone's dream guy and especially so in the bedroom, or this case around the house type!! Seriously HOT AF!!!
Ase I felt just couldn't get a break and from all sides. Ase also seemed like a lovely hard working Lady who didn't take crap from anyone and I was so glad when she kicked her cheating boyfriend to the curb early on.
These two together were just classic people finding their other halves, which of course i just cant get enough of and so whole heatedly love.
Halden Dahl was also a lovely character and one I enjoyed reading through out this story. Same with Leo who was in and out through out this book. All the secondary characters played their part in this story and look forward to where this series goes.
Overall, this story was an easy to read story that ticked all the boxes with the love, the suspense, the twist and turns.

Ase Halvorsen is a bright jewelry designer. She has had her fair share of painful loss and has been disappointed by many. When she meets Gunnar Dahl, she never dreamed how after freaky circumstances, he would be a constant companion, an admirable friend, and her best champion. He does have a perfect life, but not someone to love. The feelings between them build up slowly. Every day Gunnar reveals his heart and his life to Ase. She is taken in, finding love, security, and a promising future; all that a girl could ask for and more. He is a decent man with a huge heart. There is a sense of mystery in this tale and you meet several characters that mean a lot to both, along with a few bad apples that are determined to cause further harm. Still, the pair finds their HEA ending and a promise for a happy future. I was given this as an advance copy and this is my honest review.
This was first experience reading this author's work and while I found some parts of this book quite enjoyable, for the most part, I had to force myself to pick it up and finish reading it. I was really excited to read a new author and the blurb sounded quite interesting and the book started out really well, but I just couldn't connect with these characters -- and I really tried because I liked the premise of the plot and the storyline. The beginning was quite good, the middle seemed to drag for me and then it picked up a bit toward the end. If you're looking for something new, please don't use my review as a reason not to give this a chance -- it might have just been me! I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC for NetGalley.
Save Her: Lovers in Louisville is an amazing story. Gunner is a world renowned author and Ase is an extremely talented jewelry maker. It is love at first sight for Gunner. Trouble seems to follow Ase around. When Gunner decides he’s going to ask her out he interrupts two people robbing and knocking Ase out. When he gets to the hospital he tells the nurse that he is her fiancé and the fun starts from there. He takes her in and cares for her while she has a broken arm. They fall in love but trouble keeps on coming and Gunner will do anything to bring her home. It is an emotional roller coaster ride that you can’t put down because you want to know what’s going to happen next. Amazing read!!

The blurb made it sound like a good story to read but the story drags on to unnecessary lengths. I couldn't really get into it, to be honest. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
