This book gets 2.5 stars rounded up to 3 stars. This series is set in the same world and town as the Howling Hills Heat series by Liam Kingsly. Sadly the authors never sat down to define this world they were writing in so there would be continuity across each of their series. Characters from Mr. Kingsly's series appear briefly in this book. Sadly that is all that is shared in common other than the location for the story. One problem is that in Mr. Kingsly series gestation is about 3 months, yet the wolf shifters in Mr. Walker's book take 9 months to give birth. On top of that there are so many editorial issues that I was tempted to highlight them all and send a copy to the author. No book should be release looking with this many sloppy stupid errors. At one poit there is even a single quote mark between paragraphs. There were also spelling mistakes that a simple spellcheck would have caught. I will continue with this series in the hope this crap will be rectified in them, plus I already purchased teh rest that are available. Plus I really like these characters and the overarching storyline. My issue are only with the quality of the editing not anything else! The book feels like it was rushed out rather than allowing for the time to actually do some quality control.

This is so terrible, I don't even know where to start! I don't recall ever reading a worse book right now. I know that's pretty harsh, so I feel like I have to explain my bad rating.

Short version is: The editing is horrible, the writing style can't accurately be described as a "style" at all - it's more like a rambling mess - there are logic mistakes - which is ridiculous considering that there is no world building whatsoever or even a plot worth calling that - the characters are so disagreeable it hurts and their actions don't make any sense. I am seriously stumped to list even one small thing I liked about this story.
You might wonder why I read it in the first place, but I was promised shifters, fated mates and a cute little girl and I don't even have very high standards for these kinds of books - or so I thought. I do see some readers enjoyed this, so maybe it's just me and therefor I'll explain in detail. Stop reading here or buckle down and bear with my rant. Explicit quotes included!

I won't list all the editing issues obviously, but there is spelling and grammar mistakes, missing words, wrong ones or additional ones that don't belong, even names written inconsistently - and it happens on every page throughout the book.

You might notice some of the "style" issues while I quote parts, but I'll feed you a little example to get the general idea (and I'll be very careful to quote letter by letter, just saying):
If I was honest I preferred driving her than putting her on the bus because we got to spend a little more time together. Putting her on the bus felt a little bit too much like abandoning her. I was a little bit protective, but she was my little girl, she was all I had.

As for the plot, I'll give you a play by play - because there is seriously not that much happening, but the issues with every morsel of storyline are endless.

Within the first chapter we get the background story via a dream Jarrett has about the night of his 21st birthday: He met his fated mate and f*cked him, and he never stopped thinking about him since. But he can't remember his name - unimportant minor detail when it's your one true love, surely - much less contact information they never exchanged in the first place - because that would have been too obvious, right? - and he never saw him again. Not that we learn anything about him ever trying, but who cares.
They don't talk during their entire (dream or real) encounter until Jarrett informs his partner that he is about to come inside him - bare, because why the hell not - and should he pull out? But no, because nobody said Brent was any less stupid, and so there is knotting too. And who could have guessed this could have possibly led to a pregnancy? Jarrett certainly is totally dumbfounded when he finds out eight years later. To be fair, he only teaches primary school...
Note this:
An alpha can only pick up pheromones of his fated mate and an omega can only go into heat from his destined alpha

This is presented as common knowledge without further explanation, but still they both aren't quite sure if they are really fated, either eight years ago nor when they meet again. What I'm unsure about is what being fated mates actually means in this world, because as far as I can tell it doesn't mean jacksh*t besides intense sexual attraction. It certainly does not mean making a great couple or even caring about the other one when it would inconvenience you.
But wait, there is more:
When I'd turned twenty-one they'd sat me down and explained about the curse that had been put on our family so that we couldn't give birth to alphas and the only chance to keep our bloodline running would be to find our fated mates. Once we found our fated mates, only by mating with them would we be able to give birth to alphas and carry on our bloodline. Without our fated mates we were doomed.

So, this somehow seems important and one might think it would drive you to pay a little more attention when encountering potential mates, but what do I know. What I most definitely don't know is where this curse is coming from, when or by whom it was established, if it will haunt the family forever or just this generation or basically anything about how it all works. This sentence is literally the whole extent of what the reader can learn about the family backstory throughout the whole book. I'm not even sure why alphas are so very crucial - don't omegas carry the family DNA? It does sound sexist to me, but I couldn't glean even a morsel of background information about how this world works, so yeah.

I'm not sure why this even is a wolf story in the first place, because there are no wolfs in this story. There sometimes is an inner wolf mentioned, and little Emery seems to have some trouble controlling her shifting abilities, but there are no wolves actually on page. The epilogue has a planned pack run. And that's it.
So I assume there is a pack, not that it ever appears on page either. Jarrett's brothers seem to be part of the pack obviously, but he doesn't ever interact with them in a way that suggests they have any other relationship than simply being brothers. No word on whether there is a hierarchy, a territory, social interaction of any kind, or whatever else might constitute this pack. In the epilogue two friends of Jarrett's are mentioned as potential pack members and it had never even been hinted at that they could be wolves before then.
It's unclear how common wolf shifters are in this world anyway. Jarrett is thinking about the kids in his class:
I'd put money on her being a werewolf. Call me crazy if you want, but I definitely had whatever the werewolf equivalent of gaydar was.

So I guess wolves don't necessarily recognize each other? Weird. And is this meant to imply that werewolves in this world are about as common as gay people? Who knows.
We are also left wondering how the relationship between humans and shifters looks like. There is a scene were Emery shifts during a fight on school grounds and the other kids run screaming. But there is no issue with that afterwards. So maybe wolves are not a secret, but seeing them in wolf form is unusual? I am blindly speculating here because there is not even a hint of an explanation for that in this book.

It is also left unclear, how big the town of Howling Hills actually is. The name itself doesn't scream metropolis, it's always called a town instead of a city and it is made abundantly clear that there is only one place to get really great coffee. Still Jarrett and Brent could not manage to neither actively find nor incidentally bump into each other in eight years. Not even with Jarrett being a teacher at Emery's school. Probably a big elementary school in that small town. But in her third year she is actually in his class and after a few months Jarrett calls Brent to talk about Emery having trouble controlling her shifting.
That phone call is the weirdest shit ever. A teacher calls a parent to talk about their kid - and then can't get a word out (because of being overpowered by unexplainable fated mate hormones or something, but without recognizing that of course). The parent understandably is freaking out about their kid being hurt and bleeding. And the teacher says: Nothing like that, just some behavioral problems, but I need to speak to you at your earliest convenience, and please call me Jarrett and not Mr. Ewen because it makes me feel old. Yeah, sure. Okay.
And then they meet, the air is too full of pheromones for any useful conversation, but hey, they suddenly both realize that Emery is actually Jarrett's daughter, too. They decide they would maybe want to talk again in a different setting. And then they go on with their day. What?

But yeah, they are both understandably freaked out, I get that part. But wouldn't you believe you might be happy after pining away for eight years? Jarrett is devastated about all the time he missed with his daughter, he doesn't know what to do and calls his brothers, who apparently never knew anything about his troubles in the first place.
"I'm just surprised. I mean, I knew you hooked up but I had no idea you knotted and no idea that he was your fated mate and-"
"Neither did I!" I interrupted. "If I'd known I might have at least got his number or something before he ran off."

So he actually didn't know himself? He just figured that out while dreaming about that encounter for years to come? How often had he repeated that dream before it came to him, I wonder? It took at least long enough to forget about his name, if you recall... This second time they met, he knew at the first whiff. I'm so very unimpressed.
But it gets even better:
"What are you going to do?" Chasen asked.
[...]"I really don't know," I said. "We sort of talked around it today when he came in for the meeting and he confirmed that Emery was mine but we didn't talk details, we didn't talk about whether or not we'd see each other again and-"

You do realize that this is exactly the same mistake you made the first time around, yes? You'd think a teacher might know a thing or two about communication, but you'll see that Jarrett is sorely lacking in that department time and time again.
There was so much to consider, there truly was and it was sort of annoying that my brother's didn't get that. With Emery attending Rippling Woods and me being her teacher, it was a weird sort of conflict that I didn't know how to navigate. But I guess there would be nothing to navigate at all if I didn’t at least try.

Get this. He is coming around to the conclusion that he might actually try to attempt a conversation with his fated mate, who he has a daughter with and who is crucial to the survival of his pack, although it might put him in an awkward position at work. What a hero. I can't even.
I didn't want to rush it because surely that would be dangerous but my body so wanted to be close to Brent again.

Seriously? Dangerous how? Worst case scenario I can spot is trouble at work and that's not even guaranteed, since we don't know if the principal knows anything about wolves or fated mates and might be sympathetic to the situation. But oh well, it's only his body that wants to be close, so it's not like it's a matter of true love or anything, so who cares either way, right?

Meanwhile, Brent is sitting at home, lamenting his life choices as well.
It didn't make sense. I'd been waiting all this time and he was right there waiting for me.

You said it yourself: You're both waiting around twiddling your thumbs instead of doing something to make it happen. Makes perfect sense to me.
That wasn't it though. I'd never felt like this before, never had a heat quite like it [...]

Wait, what now? It said omegas can only go into heat from their destined alpha! You can't have had any other heats than maybe that first time you met him!
What was going to happen to me? What was going to happen to Emery? [...] I didn't want to cause such upheaval in her life by telling her something like this when I didn't have a plan yet. [...] Maybe I should move us altogether. We'd spent the last eight years without each other, what would be the harm?

Wow. You've been pining for him forever and lamented the stress of single fatherhood, but you don't want to see what might happen now that you've found him because it might cause an upheaval. You, my friend, are a totally lost cause.

Thank God for authors who push their storyline forward despite their characters being stupid. Who would have imagined: Suddenly their is a knock at his door (Emery is in bed already) and he opens the door to Jarrett.
"Hi," I managed, swallowing the lump that had formed in my throat.
"Hi yourself," he said, surging forward and pulling me into a kiss.

Ha, gotcha! There is no talking happening, because that worked out so great before! Instead there is making out and undressing without a single word.
His hands found my pants and he fumbled with my belt buckle a little before undoing it and they did the same, and I just let them fall, deliberately stepping closer to him so I could feel our cocks pressed close together. He was soaking wet and the scent of him was intoxicating.

So apparently, Jarrett has a magic dick: He can feel Brent's self-lubricating asshole all the way through their touching dicks. I'm riveted by this outstanding sex scene!
"Do you want to...?" I said, trailing off, suddenly realizing these were some of the first words I'd spoken to him since I got here.

Want what? Sex? My, I was thinking more along the lines of having a tea party, what with us standing naked in my bedroom, having made out for five pages and leaking all over each other! But lo and behold, they do have sex now! Aaaaand - they don't use a condom, because that would have been the obvious thing to do, right? I would facepalm, but I actually feel more like punching those two.

Next morning comes around, Jarrett is still there, and they consider what to tell Emery if she finds him there.
"You're my fated mate, Jarrett," Brent said softly, not able to keep the smile out of his voice. "So, one way or another, she's going to be seeing a lot more of you, no?"

Ah, so suddenly that is the obvious conclusion. I was unsure about that, because there still hasn't been any conversation about the future. But Emery sees Jarrett every day at school anyway, so there's that...
Still, they are really unsure about Emery's reaction.
For one thing I wasn't sure if, in a fight, Jarrett would even win against Emery.

What now? She's eight (and how is that even possible, when she was only conceived eight years ago?) and shifting terrifies her!
Whatever, Emery's thrilled and they have an amazing weekend together. Only grain of salt: A fellow teacher spots them - total surprise - while visiting the only decent coffee place in town.

And I'm not even halfway through the book at this point, but I don't have any characters left to write, and I haven't even gotten to Jarrett's stupid idea of hiding the relationship when they had already been seen, blaming Brent for that not working - and breaking up with him over the phone for that, because he's classy like that - and Emery being bullied at school and Jarrett deciding it's her own fault for not being docile enough - which makes him suck as a person, double as a teacher, triple as a parent - and Brent trying to remember if they ever used condoms during a month of daily sex - seriously?! - and the totally cringeworthy die-of-embarrassment ending. But you get the point, yes?

Great ending for Jarrett and Brent

Jarrett missed out years of his daughter's life but also missed out those same right years of being with his mate as well. When they find each other they were so happy but there were people trying to keep them apart. But you can't keep dates mates apart.

I tried finishing this book , it started off great but then after 2/3 of the book it was like a teenager is writing the plot I just couldn’t or well didn’t want to read anymore.

But I will definitely try something else by this writer

0.5/5 ... only reason I did not DNF this book is because I felt the need to be able to fully back up my rating. I’d never read anything by this author before and I don’t think I ever will again. I hope Walker will grow as a writer eventually if he wishes to continue in that line of work, but this definitely needed a lot more work. The characters, the plot, the drama, none of it rang true.

And can I just say.. in what world would anyone even suggest firing someone over dating the father of their child? Or better yet, what kind of “fated mate” considers walking away from their destined partner AND CHILD over petty hearsay or supposed “conflicts of interest” at work? ...and shouldn’t “being an alpha” mean more than the breath it takes to say the words? As it were, Jarrett was anything but—unless he was teaching third grade.

Destiny
This is the first book in the series from the world building of Preston Walker and Liam Kingsley. A spin off but still a standalone series. It's a trilogy involving a set of three Alpha brothers. The Ewen brothers each eventually getting their own book. The first surprisingly is focused on the youngest of the brothers and a Single Dad. He's prone to wish upon what may have been, but his brothers and best friend keep him grounded. As does his little Alpha daughter.

She's a young girl really starting to feel her emerging Alphaness and at times is difficult for her Omega father to control. If only he had that Alpha and his life to help raise her and teach her how to behave properly by controlling her Alpha impulses. Trouble at school brings the Omega Brent full circle. After a shaky encounter he truly begins to believe in destiny.

FURBITTEN PREQUEL Unexpected
If you get the opportunity read the FURBITTEN Prequel. Fortunately I had it in my Kindle library. Am I ever glad I was able to read it before the First book in the series, because it made the story arc more cohesive.

It explains in detail things just touched upon in FURBITTEN TEACHER. Getting to know both Jarrett Ewen and Brent as younger men explained a lot. Learning about the family curse, meeting Jarrett's other two older Alpha brothers, and friends was humorous. I definitely recommend this PREQUEL if you are able to find it before you begin the first book FURBITTEN TEACHER.

(Review with spoilers)

First book in the series. I loved the romance and I recommend it.

Jarrett's pack is cursed. They can't have alpha children unless they find their fated mates. He found his years ago, but they only had one night together. They separated and he has feared that he would never see him again. Until they meet unexpectedly.

I love Jarrett and Brent. The two are very much alike. Good men, romantic, sweet. They've both been dreaming of a family for years, and they were afraid they wouldn't be able to fulfill their dreams.

I love that, when they recognize each other, they don't lie. Jarrett asks if Emery is his daughter and Brent says she is. He adds that he looked for him, but couldn't find him, and Jarrett believes him. He also wanted to see him again. If they had at least told each other their names, it would have been easier for them to find each other.

I love their connection. It surged when they met, and it hasn't broken during the years they've been apart. It's not just something physical. They see the other as he really is.

I love the relationship Brent and Emery have, their love, and how he tries to educate her as best as he can, even though he knows she needs more than he can teach her. He isn't an alpha like her.

I also love the relationship that develops between Jarrett and Emery. He noticed a connection between them, but he believed it was because the two are werewolves, not because they are family. But I think it would have been better if they had slowed things down with her. I didn't want them lying to her, but to take things with calm.

I love Jarrett's brothers, and I also love Tate.

Jarrett is looking for his fated mate that he thinks he already met, but can no longer find. Hah! It is a wonder he still has his alpha card after running away from Brent, his mate.

It is funny how day to day life can be so dramatic. I was drawn in and could not stop reading until the end! Jarrett's brothers are wonderful and loving and they are so close. The best friend, Tate, is so special that you are going to smile through all of his scenes. You can tell that family is important to all of them.

Family is so important to Jarrett that he becomes a teacher and he runs his class like a small pack. It is so cool how in tune he is with the kids. Heh. Around the full moon, one of the kids is so antsy, "it was like he'd gone feral..." lol. I adored the little reminders of wolfiness sprinkled throughout. Heh Frostbites, the bakery / cafe is a personal fave.

The writing has just the right level of tension in the situation that you do not lose that happy, light, giddy feeling you get when you read an awesome story. I still have the feel-goods! I do not want to leave Furbitten Falls!

Jarrett is a small town alpha who teaches third grade. He’s been dreaming about the same omega he met at a club several years ago. The only explanation he can come up with is that he may have met his fated mate that night. He regrets everyday not getting the omega’s information.

Brent is a single omega father raising an alpha daughter. He remembers the night she was conceived and wishes more than ever that he had that alpha with him to help out with his rambunctious daughter control her alpha instincts.

Jarrett and Brent are brought together by their daughter and it was like no time passed at all. The same spark is still there after all these years.

They’re discovering each other all over again and this time around neither of them wants to lose touch. They feel like they’ve lost so much time and have a lot to make up for.

I really enjoyed this story. I wish there was more background information about Jarrett’s pack, Furbitten Falls. There was a brief mention of its history but it was vague and felt I was missing something. Other than that I enjoyed the story and watching Jarrett and Brent rediscover each other.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the story of Jarrett and Brent. Jarrett was an alpha and he met his fated mate one night at a club when they had a one night stand. Eight years later, Jarrett was haunted by the omega he could never find again. Now Jarrett was a teacher and a little girl, Emery, in his class was having problems with being an alpha and acting out. Jarrett called her father Brent in to talk about her and was shocked to see it was his fated mate from years before. Brent was shocked to see Jarrett and knew he had finally found him. Through them talking, Jarrett realized Emery was his daughter. Jarrett now had to decide what he was going to do and if they could be together, but Jarrett could lose his job if it was found out he was involved with a parent of a student. I really enjoyed this story. I liked Jarrett and Brent together. I love how Emery accepted Jarrett as her Dad from the beginning. Jarrett wanted his family and i think he could have been a little more alpha like with his decisions. I think he worried about if they would break up and didn't want to risk his job. I look forward to reading more of this new series. Good one.

This was a great story and concept, but it really needed a good editing/beta read. I found wrong names being used, types of clothes worn change from one moment to the next, words left out or wrong words used, etc. This caused the content editor/beta reader in me, to have a lot of starts and stops with the reading due to distractions.

The story line itself was really enjoyable. Had nice strong characters that were a joy to read about. The dialogue flowed nicely. The descriptions to detail were done where they were easy to visualize. Overall, a good story itself. I hope that there is more books to come concerning Jarrett's brothers. I would love to read more about them.

Written as a first person, multi pov with a HEA.

Would I recommend this book? Yes

Would I read more from this author? Yes

Jarrett and Brent met in a club they ended up having a one night stand then Brent found out he was pregnant and ran. 8 years later Brent is bringing up an alpha daughter Emery as she is getting older she is getting harder to look after her he needs her alpha dad but Brent didn’t get his name. Jarrett is a primary school teacher he has Emery in his class and he feels close to her but he is having trouble with her when she starts shifting in the classroom so Jarrett calls up her father to come in and talk about her. When Brent see’s who Emery’s teacher is they recognise each other and Brent tells him that Emery is his daughter no wonder Jarrett felt like he did, Jarrett thanks the fates for bringing his mate back to him. I loved this story it’s so emotional and heartbreaking but then it’s a Preston Walker story need I say more?. This is an amazing story and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

Brent and Jarret knew each other about 8 years ago. Knew as in met at a bar and had a beautiful night. Both have been having repeat memories but the problem is that each does not remember what the other looks like. Meanwhile Jarrett is a teacher and has Emery in his class and she is a spitfire. Brent works at the local paper. Then one day Emery shifts into a wolf which vindicates what Jarrett thought she was. He calls her father, Brent. Once he hears Brent;s voice he starts to think that he recognizes it. Brent seems to think he knows that voice too plus the way his body seems to be reacting is interesting. Will these two realize what they are to each other? The curse that seems to be over the town wolves may be broken if the two figure out what they are to each other.
Love the story about a love lost and the way fate seems to take a hand in trying to get them together.
Fantastic story!!

On his 21st birthday Jarrett was at a bar. He met his fated mate and had relations. Brent disappeared right afterwards. Eight years later Jarrett was a third grade teacher. Emery was one of his students. She started shifting during a fight. Jarrett called her father and asked to met and talk about her. When he met the girl's father he had found his mate again. They began to have a relationship again and Jarrett found out that he was the father of the little girl. After a misunderstanding they broke up and Brent discovered he was pregnant again. Emery told Jarrett that her father was pregnant. After the talent show in school Jarrett asked Brent to marry him which they did after the twin boys were born.

this was a second chance romance omegaverse/shifter and mpreg story.Brent has a one night stand with an alpha at a club and runs off not even getting his name and years later is raising an alpha daughter on his own and realizing the older she gets, the more it's hard to raise an alpha child as a single omega parent. his daughter ends up having issues at school and he has to meet with her teacher and all of sudden recognizes him to be that same alpha from all those years ago, the father of his child and his fated mate. this was a cute fun read with some hott steamy scenes and I really enjoyed the characters in the story and look forward to the next book in Hope to get a story about Jarrett's bestfriend and brother because that sounds like thats going to make for a good one! This was a pretty fast paced read and for sure a page Turner.

I received this book for Free to Give My True & Honest Review..

Preston's written another great shifter love story. Where we see teacher Jarrett Ewen celebrate his 21st with his brothers Chasen & Slater & does something he's never done before & that's goes off with a stranger whom he didn't even get his name from nor the stranger his.
Then it's 8 yrs later & Jarrett keeps having the same dream of that night except he can't see his face just can smell him.
Then one day he had to call the parent (Brent Bridges), Emery a student he has, whom he feels a connection with, though he didn't understand why, well that is, until he smells that sent again & realises that he's, his Mate's scent & then he knows why he feels connected with Emery.
Come, enjoy & see how things go between these long time one nighter....

I was totally enthralled by this emotional, heartwarming MM shifter romance. The plot is well-written and filled with interesting events. The main characters struggle with personal & emotional issues and acceptance, while the secondary characters play a good supporting role.
There is: an alpha teacher who is looking for his mate & has a suspicion that he has already met him (Jarrett Evens), a omega author & single father (Brent Bridges), his little alpha daughter (Emery), drama, wolf shifters, fated mates, friendship, caring brothers, memories, dreams, unexpected discovery, emotional turmoil, brotherly advice, verbal banter, deceit, jealousy, misunderstanding, apologies, happiness, love & some steam.
I enjoyed reading this MM shifter romance & would recommend it.

Fate stepped in to help Jarrett and Brent meet at the club but fear tore them apart. Fate brought them together again eight years later when Jarrett was Emery's teacher and discovered he was also her father. Brent had spent so much time trying to find Jarrett after that night at the club, he was thrilled and shocked that Jarrett had been so close for so long and their paths had never crossed. Nosy busy bodies, trust issues and a lot of stubbornness nearly kept them apart forever. Emery's lack of being able to keep a crucial secret helped heal her family. The scene that Jarrett and Brent walked in on at the reception involving Tate and Chasen had me laughing so hard at Jarrett's reaction.

The main characters in this story are wolf shifters, but that is not the focus here. The focus is a love that was 8 years in the making. Jarrett, an alpha, is an elementary teacher with a wonderful alpha student that's having some difficulty with control. Brent, an omega, is also the father of the little alpha girl from Jarrett's class. I loved that they both kept dreaming about that one night they shared so long ago and still wanted to find the other. I also was pleased with the relationship Jarrett has with his brothers. The school busybodies are always there to create chaos. I was very happy and uplifted with the ending of this book. I requested an advanced reader copy from Booksprout and am under no obligation to leave this review.

I'm not sure I believe the danger of being fired because you're dating a student's single parent, but this was a fun story for the most part. Probably more of a 3.5 than a true 4. Emery seemed to be a precocious child and I think she could have been developed more. She could have been utilized more as the device used to keep the MCs apart and eventually bring them together. The little bit she was used in that way in the storytelling was sweet. I had huge problems with the editing, but I'm finding that is par for the course in this genre.

The idea of fated mates is interesting, and the notion that you could distinguish them by smell was novel to me. Most of the other books I've read that have dealt with this concept have used more ethereal means of identifying said mate.

I was totally emotionally invested in this one. It was a very intense, great story.

Jarrett and Brent shared a very steamy, satisfying tryst at a bar 8 years ago and neither of them could shake it off since. But they hadn't even exchanged names, let alone numbers.

Eight years later Jarrett is a teacher and one of his students is having issues. When he sets up a meeting with the father, his body reacts to him in a way that makes it obvious this is his fated mate. And it's also the guy from the club.

I loved how quickly they fell into step with one another and how well their daughter took the news. This was quite an emotional rollercoaster and a very satisfying read.

On the night of his 21st birthday, Jarrett Ewan and his brothers went out to a club. He found himself with an amazing omega who disappeared after an incredible encounter - and he dreamed of that man for years afterwards, feeling like he was a missed mate opportunity.

Jarrett grew up to teach school. And he found quite a surprise in his third grade class.

Now these two men / wolf shifters think they might be Fated Mates.

Read on to find out if they can hold things together with each other and the next generation!

Great fun!

A parent and teacher meeting brings Jarrett and Brent together for the first time in eight years, leaving them shocked and overwhelmed. What follows is a roller coaster of emotions, conflict, and struggles that will have you smiling, frowning, crying, and laughing. Love prevails despite all the obstacles and leaves Jarrett and Brent with a beautiful HEA.
Well developed storyline with likeable characters, a journey full of ups and downs, a connection that will not be denied, and more to discover in this story. While I did enjoy this book, it does need some editing.

Fantastic! Jarrett, Alpha and Brent, Omega have a one night stand and never exchange names or digits. Eight years later, Brent having behavioral issues with his Alpha daughter, Emery and recognizes her teacher, Jarrett as his one night stand. Now it gets interesting. How does he tell Jarrett the good news? Is it good news? How does Jarrett feel about learning Emery is his daughter? Is there enough spark to co-parent cooperatively? Can they restart a relationship? Should they tell Emery? How will she take it? This is a feel good, happy, loving, funny story. Well done! I received an ARC from Booksprout for a review.

Jarrett, a wolf-shifter alpha, is teacher at an elementary school and has to deal with some children, who cannot control their alpha feelings. One such student is Emery. When calling her father to discuss the problem he finds out that her father is his mate he had lost 8 years ago and that Emery is his daughter. But this is a small town and his daughter is his student which spells trouble.
Trying to figure out what he needs to do to win over his mate, his daughter and the town makes life and this book intersting.

Jarrett is an Alpha who had a drunken one night stand with an Omega at a nightclub. Unfortunately he never got the name of the man with whom he had knotted and he believed to be his fated mate.
Eight years later he is teaching third grade and is still dreaming of that night.
Brent works from home so he can spend more time with Emery, his eight year old daughter, when she gets home from school. As she is an Alpha, she is pushing the boundaries and this leads to trouble at school. Brent is asked to come in and see her teacher and both have a shock.

Okay, so the lesson here is if you have a one night start get the guy's contact details. Or you will spend the next 8 years pining for each other. When Brent and Jarred finally through a fluke find each other they are clear that they want to be together. In fact, at times when Jarred was being a nitwit, I felt Brent was a bit too forgiving but at least Jarred had to make a twit of himself at the end so there was that. Mr. Walker delivers a packed story that moves you swiftly along, good chill out reading.
