I am so smitten with this story. I’m a huge fan of S.L.Scott’s rockstar stories and Dare has become one of my favourites to date by this author. I absolutely loved it.
The heat and chemistry between these two was addicting and all-consuming. It had all the feels and it had all the heat. As their journey progressed, these two fall deeper and deeper for each other. We see different sides to each character and just when it couldn't get any more intense, there are curve balls which had me craving more from these two.
This book is everything. Dare and Weatherly's story is simply gorgeous and flawlessly written. Yet again, S.L. Scott has created an unforgettable couple whose love knows no bounds. An absolute must read!

Dare and Weatherly are book perfection. That is what SL Scott gives readers. It gives all the feels we love in romance books. Swoon, chemistry, honesty, a little conflict, amazing resolution. I was addicted to this book and never wanted it to end!
Dare and Weatherly both has issues from the past that affect how they are. They are drawn to each other right from the tart and it all makes sense. The book is not rushed. Dare is such an incredible man that you just fall in love with him. From his relationships with the guys in the band to how he sees Weatherly, it is beautiful. Weatherly grows so much within herself throughout the book, learning what is really important.
This book is about how 2 totally different people can fall in love. It is a book of relationships with all the characters throughout the book, readers will fall in love with. It learning how to be turn to yourself and those you want in your life, how to fight for love and accept love.

When a SL Scott book hits my kindle I tend to release a happy sigh because I know I'm about to get hours of entertainment and enjoyment. There's something about her rockstar men that I just can't get enough of. Dare is all man, all bad boy. His charm and sinful, devilish ways is something no woman can walk away from once his sights are set. His eyes land on Weatherly, and believe you me, she's looking right back at him. She likes what she sees, as does Dare. They have an instant connection. A connection that reaches far deeper than just between the sheets.
Nothing is as simple as it should be. Dare and Weatherly are from opposite sides of the world. He's from a world where he lives hard and fast. He has lived by his sinfully sexy voice that makes him a heartthrob to every woman in earshot. Weatherly has been living a more privileged life. She bad her entire future planned. Dare changes things. He wasn't among her plans. You know the best things about plans? Changing them and following your heart.
Again, I feel a sigh coming on. Just a sweet and contentment feeling in my heart. Scott's writing is beautiful and she gives her characters life with a gorgeous story. These two were just lovely and so sexy together. I loved the connection they shared. It was an immediate response to each other and I was immediately into their story. These two narrators are the best romance narrators and together, Sebastian York and Ava Erickson are perfection! I could listen to them all day long and I nearly did! York is amazing as Dare and I had really high expectations... I mean, he is a rockstar. He was fabulous!

The first time Weatherly (Pepper) and Dare (Rob) met, filled my heart with love and tenderness and it was such a beautiful and memorable scene❣️
It was destined to find each other and more than a decade later to finally begin their amazing journey.
Dare was not the usual bad-boy rock star. He was a great character inside out and contrived to steal a piece of my heart.
Weatherly had her wings clipped and was micromanaged by her family, until she met Dare and then she blossomed into a strong-willed and confident lady.
Their chemistry was outstanding and sparkling.
It was a beautiful read, dual pov (mostly Dare’s❣️❣️❣️) with a fantastic pace.
I would love to see the stories of the other Heroes of the band.

Very good story. Loved the connection between Dare and Pepper, how they met and reconnected years later. Anytime a story involves kismet I'm hooked. Hopefully the Author will continue with the rest of the characters. Would really love to see Romeo, Lennox and English get HEA's.

Such a cute meet/greet as children! And from there it was written in the stars -- a beautiful and lyrical story between an eastsider and a westsider. One who had it all (or so it seemed) and one who barely scraped by (but knew true friendship and family). One a lawyer in the making and the other a struggling musician. Family angst and ugly jealousy reigned supreme. A fantastic story that kept me drawn to each page with the ups and downs that confronted two young lovers.
Together through thick and thin, Dare and Pepper proved his mother's favorite quote to be true:
Beauty attracts the eye, but the soul captures the heart.
And a happily ever after brought a wonderful future for a perfectly matched couple.

With Dare S.L. Scott created another amazing addition to her rockstar romance collection.
Its easy to love characters and the perfectly paced slow burn romance make this book just adorable.
Dare and Pepper are a perfect match and I love their dynamic and how the just feel together.
"When I'm with you, I don't need to hear the music. I feel the rhythm."
Even if I had a great time reading the book and following those characters, I really do wish we would have seen a little more of the upcoming rockstar stuff and the trouble/struggle that comes with it. I missed the actual rockstar feeling. If you love this author's other rockstar romance, I'm pretty sure you'll enjoy reading this one as well.

This isn't the first book by S.L Scott that I have had the pleasure to read, and just like many of her others, it went off with a bang.
S.L has a way with her words that'll suck you in from the very first page and Dare: A Rock Star Hero was definitely a MUST READ.

A voice like an angel but a look like a devil.
Those words that flow out of his mouth are ones that have women's panties dropping to the floor the moment he opens his mouth. A single night with him would be heaven and hell all in one.
Weatherly Beck just may be the woman who can tame Dare. She's beautiful, she is smart, and she has her life mapped out for her. Her future is bright and is ready for her, and is in hands reach, but that all changes the moment these two meet.
Weatherly wanted a hot one night stand with Dare, but what she thought would be ONE night, turns into so much more. How could it not? When this man is everything she craves and Dare wants her for himself, and himself only. He wants to be her Hero. Will she dare to take a chance on him? The authors' well-written words sunk in deep and had my mind was on overdrive the entire way through the book and Dare? Well HOT DAMN... He's the bad boy every girl secretly longs for.

Two people from different walks of life finding love? Yes, please!
Dare and Weatherly grabbed me from the first time they met until the very last page. Everything about their story was amazing! From Dare and Weatherly's first meeting to the growth of their relationship, to their trials and tribulations, and that amazing ending and prologue, I could not put this book down! Their relationship deals with so many obstacles and the twists and turns, WHOA! This story has it all! S.L. Scott has created yet another couple whose love knows no bounds and I cannot wait to see what she has in store next!

Incredibly romantic and inspiring. Oh man, I did feel the love in the air, feeling the magic operating and seeing their love blossom so breathtaking, pure and it felt so real.
Everything seemed to fade away when I was reading Dare, a beautiful story about these two souls who had finally found each other, who fought together against all odds to achieve their dreams on their own terms, writing such a magnificent melody.
Just music to my ears.

The author wrote such heartfelt, honest and passionate story. Dare, this rock star hero, wounded by his past but trying not to let it determine the man he is today.
A man used to be on the wrong side, a fighter and survivor, noble and kind, tough but so tender at times. That boy vibes, with a heart of gold, keeping his integrity, true to himself.
A real hero, the one with strength, accepting his flaws and still learning about what life has to offer. And sometimes, it happens, that feeling about that someone that made you special but mostly a unique feeling that only your heart could recognize. Hitting you like that. Straight to the heart.
The author managed to described it in those words, like the hurricane in the making, powerful and strong but also so fragile if you weren’t careful about it. And it felt it. So striking and indescribable somehow but so palpable, making me feel so much.
Weatherly was more acting than living, putting everyone's needs before her own. Just raised to follow the legacy and family rules. A convenient bubble of security, until she met Dare, charming and hot, but feeling that instant connection, an easiness, something familiar but also unsettling.
Finding someone who listened and care about her needs. Just to show her what was buried inside, to shine like it should be, for herself and not for the others.
I’ve been caught on this whirlwind romance. They made my heart race. It was sweet and sexy, sensual and steamy and all the things, so much more. Characters that didn’t hide their feelings, learning from their mistakes, moving mountains for their loved ones. Mesmerizing and magnetic.
I adored as much the main characters than the supportive ones, that I'm sure have so many beautiful stories to share, I hope they will at some point.

I’ve been caught on this whirlwind romance. They made my heart race. It was sweet and sexy, sensual and steamy and all the things, so much more. Characters that didn’t hide their feelings, learning from their mistakes, moving mountains for their loved ones. Mesmerizing and magnetic.
I adored as much the main characters than the supportive ones, that I'm sure have so many beautiful stories to share, I hope they will at some point.
Emotional without being too much, with a high level of swoon moments, damn I was sold! Everything seemed to fade away when I was reading Dare, a beautiful story about these two souls who had finally found each other, who fought together against all odds to achieve their dreams on their own terms, writing such a magnificent melody.
I love this book on spades. Wholeheartedly. Madly. Deeply.

Based on the number of Rockstar romances I’ve read, I feel like I can call myself a rocker romance groupie, and frankly, I don’t see anything wrong with it because it’s not the rocker facade that always keeps me coming back to these arrogant, sexy alpha males, it’s the fact that there is so much more to these bad boys then they show on stage, and with the right woman, the guy beneath the persona is the one who rocks my world!
It’s clear just how much Weatherly Beck has missed out on due to her parents’ influence and dictates, but the one thing that I appreciated about how S.L. Scott crafted Weatherly’s character is that she may have allowed people to tell her what to do…to walk the path that was set out for her, but the moment she took back control, she refuses to give it back to people who didn’t deserve it or her. And while, yes, it may be a bit cliche with the whole good girl/bad boy relationship vibe that’s happening at the beginning of the story, but that’s only what brings them together, why they work…why they overcome their past choices as well as their negative influences is about so much more than just Weatherly taking a walk on the wild side and that idea is strewn throughout the pages of DARE.
Dare may personify the edgy, rocker vibe who needs to have an attorney on retainer and who only wants instant gratification out of his time with the women who warm his bed, but he’s not that guy with Weatherly; she’s different from the start and SL Scott makes that fact abundantly clear with the way Dare treats Weatherly, the things he says to her, and the honesty that comes with wanting to be around one another, freely and wholeheartedly.
I adore romances that illustrate how love doesn’t care about how much money someone has, their family pedigree, or what side of the ‘tracks’ they come from, even if they’re complete opposites…And, while society may care about those things and feel it necessary to judge, admonish, and protest, the heart wants what the heart wants and that’s truly all that matters, especially when a person’s character defines them way more than any dollar amount, posh address, or six-figure job could.
Truly living…and loving is dangerous, which means that people need to be brave enough and dare themselves to step out of what they’re accustomed to and go all in, being bold, being completely themselves, and being those things without caring what others think, even those who have known them forever because if they question someone close to them then they don’t truly know what their heart wants or what their soul needs.
But for Weatherly and Dare - their differences don’t dissuade them because their hearts were captured by one another long before they realized exactly who each other was and what they were willing to risk to be together.

That's a Dare you'll willingly take.
Time and time again, I'm surprised by this author work. Reading her books is so refreshing and revitalizes me every time.
For some reason, I feel that rockstar stories are overrated and overused (and I know I might be in a less number here), but when I saw Suzie Scott was writing us a rockstar, I took this Dare (cheap pun intended).
And I'm so glad I did, because, remember when I said above how rockstar romance is overrated and overused. Well, I totally forgot about that, because even without realizing it, I was hooked to Dare and Pepper.
It wasn't a typical rockstar romance where the hero is making a huge success, he has and obscene amount of money, he is rejecting shows and being cocky and arrogant.
No. Dare and his friends/brothers were fighting for their space and paying their dues. They were extremely talented, but they were in that stage yet when they have to set a goal, work hard and believe in it. Life wasn't granted already.
They made music for passion and played for their dreams. And that was so refreshing.
They were rambuctious and loud, they were loyal and messy, they were passionate and real.
Just like Weatherly/Pepper was.
Dare struggled his whole life, but was always trying to overcame his issues. He was resilient and a survivor. He was rugged, but caring, he was cocky, but vulnerable.
Weatherly had an easier life, at least financially. She had everythign she wanted and needed, but she never let that mold her. She was genuine, honest, pure, even surrounded by shallow and egoistic people.
They couldn't be more different from the outside. But they couldn't be more alique in everything that mattered.
Dare and Weatherly were each other's breath of fresh air. And together, they were my own breath of fresh air.
They were so deep with such rich personalities. They touched each other's lives, and they touched me as well while I read them.
Their connection was profound, their banter was quick and smart. Their chemistry was palpable and their feelings were so tangible and so real.
The writing was exquisite, mixing enthralling dialogues, quiet developments and cathartic moments, always captivating and never letting the rhythm slow down, even in the calm scenes.
Reading Dare was like eating a favorite desert. I couldn't get enough, I wanted more even before it ended, and even when I was full (aka, almost asleep), I knew I couldn't stop, because if I did, I was going to regret later.
I gotta say, I'm stuffed. But I still crave another piece.

One thing I can always count on when reading S.L. Scott's Rockstars is falling in love with not only the main character, but the entire band - that hasn't changed. Dare captivated me from the first page til the last.
Dare introduces us to a new Austin Band, the Heroes, and brings us the story of Dare and Weatherly. Let me first say that I love how on point Scott always is when it comes to bringing to life band members. I don't know how she always brings such compelling guys to the group and makes me want to know everything about them from the start - but obviously the main focus of this story is Dare. And Weatherly.
I love how this story took the rockstar trope and spun it a bit to suit these characters, this isn't only a story about a rockstar - it's a story about Destiny and the people in our lives who bring us to the men and women we become. I loved the depth of both Dare and Weatherly's characters and how their story spanned more than just chemistry and connection and a blossoming love.
You know a book is great, when you are thinking about it's characters long after you've turned the last page and left their world. That's how I felt for hours after closing my kindle on these two, thinking of Dare and Weatherly, and wanting more from this group.

I loved Dare! I found him to be all sides of man and all sides of a rock star. I loved that Weatherly stopped him in his tracks. Even though they were total opposites they just clicked. This book was romantic and sweet it had all the feels!💙

SL Scott does it again. When I dive into one of her books I have no doubt that I'm going to fall in love...and fall in love I did with the swoony, sexy rocker Dare. He's smart, talented and pure man candy. Deep down he has a heart of gold and once he sets his sights on Pepper, his broken heart starts to mend.
Do you believe in fate?! I believe that Weatherly was meant to find Robert, aka Dare in the most unexpected of places. She's sweet and honest, her family always having a say in her life until Dare opens her eyes to new possibilities. I loved watching her blossom, the two of them bringing out the best in one another. These two are pure magic, meant to be in every sense of the word and their journey was pure joy ❤️

Dare is a story about two people from opposite sides of town. Dare Marquis being the one from the wrong side of the tracks. He is a musician, who is living paycheck to paycheck. His band plays at a bar every week but they are still waiting for their big break.
Weatherly is the rich girl whose family has so many expectations when it comes to her life. At this point she is not in control of her life and her future. Once she finishes law school, her life has been planned out by her family. She has always played the role well, been the person that she is expected to be. But when she catches her boyfriend cheating on her, she realizes that maybe she doesn’t want that life. She’s not the person that everyone thinks she is. She’s tired of her friends controlling her, tired of being the person everyone expects her to be.
She meets Dare at a bar, which is not her normal place to hang out. He is so different than her ex and the people that she grew up with. He is hot and sexy, tattoos covering his body and a musician. She is attracted to him and feels a connection with him. He is everything that her father probably warned her about and should stay as far away as possible. But she doesn’t want to. He makes her feel alive. He sees her for who she really is. She can be her true self when she is with him. She cannot stop thinking about him. But she’s not the only one that feels this way. Dare has not stopped thinking of her. He is not usually the relationship type of guy but Weatherly is so different and deserves so much more than just a one night stand. It’s not long before they both begin to fall, but with different backgrounds, a life planned out that does not include dating a musician, and a future on the line, will their love be able to survive the storms that come their way? And they are big ones.
I have to admit that as I was reading this book, I was a little frustrated because it seemed like it was repetitive in a way, with the constant sex scenes. I felt like in the beginning there was more of a physical connection than an emotional one, and I was missing that connection. I also had a hard time with Weatherly in the beginning because she just felt too needy. At times I wanted to give up, but I wanted to see when they finally realized the connection that they had. I wanted to feel that moment. So, I hung on and I am glad that I did. The second half of this book really picked up and the drama and the angst is exactly what I needed.
Weatherly and Dare had a real connection, and yes at some point in the book I felt it. The feelings that they had for each was so unexpected but yet so welcomed by the two of them. Fate has a way of bringing two people together. And that moment when they both realize how they were connected, was so amazing to watch. It was the moment I was waiting for and Ms. Scott did not disappoint. I loved the ending and how they fought, but it was also nice to see Weatherly resolve some family issues as well. In the end I really enjoyed this book.

I mean, who doesn’t love a cocky, hotter than hot rock star and the girl that can bring him to his knees. All it took was one look for Dare and Weatherly to know they wanted each other. But they will soon figure out that one night is not enough for the passion that burns within them both.

This story grabbed my attention from the very first chapter and held it until the very end. I don't keep it a secret that Rock Star romances are my Kryptonite, and I can confidently say that Dare is up there with my favourites.
Dare and Weatherly's backgrounds couldn't have been any more different growing up, but once they met their attraction and connection to each other didn't care which postcodes/zipcodes they lived under. I admired both characters immediately. There is more to their story than just 'boy meets girl' and I loved that element.
Dare stole my heart. He hasn't had an easy start in life but that hasn't stopped him from being a caring and passionate person. His bandmates are his family and I loved how much they supported each other and were there for each other.
Weatherly has had everything she needs at her disposal and you may think that she is a lucky young lady to have such privileges, but believe me they came with a price.
Both Dare and Weatherly are two individuals travelling along paths that they may or may not have wanted to be on, and what I adored about this couple is that that they brought out the best in each other and made each other chase their dreams.
I loved getting to know the other members of The Heroes (the band) and maybe the author plans to write their stories too.... I don't know. I do know that I for one would love to read them!
This book has everything I could ask for - A fabulous story. A great connection between the characters. Lots of emotion that had me feeling it along the way too. This is another fantastic novel from S.L. Scott and one that I recommend without a second thought.

I have to tell you from the moment I read the prologue I was hooked and 100% invested in the story of Dare and Weatherly. He is the rockstar hero you’re looking for and she is the smart lawyer to be still trying to find herself. Together they just try to make sense with one another.
Can it work with so many trying to get in between? Well these are the burning questions. I do say burning because their chemistry is burning hot!
Believe me you’ll get everything you’re looking for; romance, sadness, smiles, laughs, anger, and heat! We get reacquainted with former characters that we love from previous stories.

I don’t do spoilers because you can read the blurb and get the gist and I believe it’s not fair to the author. The whole point of reading a book is to discover the story and secrets for yourself. What I will tell you is that people should not be defined by zip code, either way. Things are not always the way they seem....thank goodness. This is a story that will touch your heart as well as your soul. It defines the line in the story of, “Beauty attracts the eye, but the soul captures the heart”. To the author I say well done, this is a beautiful story that captured my heart.

She can't resist him, he see's her, for the first time in her life someone really get's her, makes her feel alive, makes her want more !
He know's she is special, he knows he wants her, but will she want him, will he ever be good enough.
Oh my Romantic Heart just about squealed with glee with each and every page of this book. This couple were just irresistible and this author sure knows how to suck you right in. Everything about them felt so natural, that it was easy to imagine this was real people. Dare *Swoon* had me in a puddle right from the start, not only was he hot as all get out, he was funny, caring and a man of your dreams!! Weatherly, was so open to love, yet she was a strong girl, finding herself in the best of ways.
My heart ached for them, when they had to face the reality of life. Bitchiness, jealousy, snobbery and finding out who your real friends are. S.L. Scott has a way with words that just pulls at all your emotions and leaves you unable to hold back the tears. I totally an utterly fell head over heels in love with this story. It's has become one of my favourites to date by this author. Now it's not your typical rockstar romance. As it's at the beginning they are just a great band with a great following in pubs and clubs. Now don't get me wrong you get all the same vibes. But with this there is a sense of not being enough.
Now Dare and Weatherly's relationship is one that is built from fate, chance and one that was written long before they began. This is an insta-love that neither one of them is expecting and although it seem to move fast it's fitting for the circumstances surrounding them and the events that happened in the past.
I totally loved all the characters I really hope that the whole band, will get a book. As you can never go wrong with a rockstar, that is moody but a total alpha and territorial to boot. This book runs through a lot of emotions and although I saw the fun in most parts of the story. There is a sorrow that runs through it. One that never goes away. It's wanting to belong to something. And being alone when your surrounded by a crowd of friends.
This book is a total recommend from me. I lost sleep for this story as I needed to know what happened. A fantastic, entertaining read.

I am a big fan of SL Scott’s books and especially her rocker series so I was excited when I heard about Dare. It did not disappoint. Dare will give you all the feels of friendship, love, angst and warm your heart.
Dare is a bad boy rocker, not looking for a girlfriend or a commitment. Weatherly is from the good side of town, studying to be a lawyer and trying to find her place in the world. They meet for a night or so they think. When their worlds collide, they will never be the same again. Their connection is instant, and the feelings keep coming although they try to resist. Their worlds are so opposite, but yet they have a bond that they discover goes back far and deep. And their chemistry is sizzling!
You cannot help but to swoon over Dare. He is sexy, caring, sweet and hot! He is such a good character, and SL Scott’s writing will just make you fall in love with him and them as a couple. His inner struggles over losing his mom, and taking down his walls to let Weatherly in will fill your heart.
And I just loved the mentions of The Resistance and The Crow Brothers in the story!
Their band, The Hero, also has great supporting characters that I hope will be future stories to come.

Sometimes you just can't help but fall for a story that captures your heart word by word. It took me some time but it was worth the rollercoaster ride. There were some things in the story that took me by surprise and I didn't see coming. A rockstar love story you don't want to miss!
Weatherly is doing her best to pass the bar exam to become a lawyer but something seems to be missing. When she sees her boyfriend cheating on her, it's like her eyes are finally opening and she takes a chance to go somewhere she has never been before. When she first meets Dare, there's this instant attraction and also a familiar feeling between them but they lose track of one another. With the pressure of her family, she doesn't know what to feel anymore and it feels like she's lost a big part of herself along the way. When she and Dare reconnect, slowly she's rediscovering herself and finally comes to realise what she really wants from life. But nothing is easy and when it all seems to be crashing down around them, they'll have to fight for more than just their relationship... Will their love stand a chance in all the turmoil?... And will Dare finally get the break he has been working for?...
