Human nature is strange indeed. One never likes what one has got. The mind lusts for the unattainable. While walking along one path, the other path seems better; and amidst this confusion, the true path eludes us. Many couples struggle to find the true path as they live their lives. But those who have understood the meaning of life, succeed in achieving balance and equanimity. ‘Haravalelya vata’ – a novel that explores such successful lives.
After reading many English books, I had a yearning to go for a Marathi book. Madhavi Desai was new to me, but I thought to give it a try. The story revolves about a man, who never respected a woman who loved him unconditionally, but then he meets one of his clients & realises the true meaning of life & then amends his mistakes. A standard boilerplate story, but the author has narrated it pretty well & so even though there are no twists n turns in the novel, it doesn't get dull at any point in time.
