Dominating Blackjack Table with Probabilities

Rate this book
Blackjack is one of the most interesting casino games because it involves real decision making. And what is more, the dealer’s advantage can be reduced to practically nothing if you play your blackjack card counting right. So why do the casinos offer it? What do they stand to gain?

The fact is that the most part of players do not possess the skills required, all too often they tend not to make the most favorable decisions, only to bemoan the bad luck that follows them, and besides, they do not have the necessary discipline.

There is blackjack basic strategy that tells us what the best move is in every situation, but most players simply do not use blackjack charts or do not trust them or perhaps do not even know of their existence. They trust their instinct over mathematics.

Unfortunately, blackjack game is based entirely on mathematics!

In all other casino games, memory counts for nothing. What has already happened (the roll of the dice, the toss of the ball) has no influence whatsoever on what will happen next. In blackjack however, the cards dealt in previous hands determine a variation, sometimes an appreciable variation, of probability in favor of the player. And since the player has the option of varying his bet, this allows him to bet more in situations that are to his favor and less in less-advantageous situations. This is the blackjack rules that professionals use to gain an advantage over the casinos.
