The billionaire bought me as part of a political campaign.
Chase Adams is headed for the stars. He’s got a job as a cub reporter, and he’s dating up-and-coming politician BJ Jones. But BJ’s made enemies, including powerful billionaire Blake King.
Blake’s been at the top of his game for a long time. He’s a fixture on the DC circuit, and taking down the corrupt politicians like BJ Jones is no big deal. But when Blake meets BJ’s handsome boyfriend Chase, suddenly his heart and his motives are called into question. Will he give into his deepest desires?
Note from JP: Hot hot hot! Put on gloves because your Kindle’s about to catch fire. Sit down and enjoy a romance with wonderful characters and steamy scenes that will make you melt. No cheating, no cliffhangers, and always and HEA.
Chase and Blake see each other briefly at fundraising event that Chase's boyfriend is having. The connection is instant and electric. Chase goes home with a very drunk BJ and ends up throwing him out of his place. Blake can't stop thinking about the man from the night before and asks his assistant to find out more information on him. In a weird coincidence it turns out that Chase works for a paper that Blake owns. When they finally meet it leads to a steamy moment and shows Chase that he has another option in his romantic life. Will they have more than just some encounters together?
This is a great story that will draw you in from the beginning to end. The chemistry between them is sizzling hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.
J.P. James is a fairly new author to me and this is a fantastic sexy m/m romance. Chase’s boyfriend BJ is running for mayor, during the night of the fundraiser Chase looks around and catches the eye of Blake and there is an instant attraction but Chase can’t do anything about it because of B.J. At the end of the night B.J is drunk and it ends up in a fight so Chase throws him out. Chase works for Blake’s newspaper as a Cub’s reporter and neither of them knew, sorry guys if you want to know what happens next then you will need to get this book. Expect some steamy boardroom scenes they are hot, this is a fantastic story and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.
This is the worst book I have read in 2019 ; I should say , tried to read , as I thrown in the towel at 38%. Yep , I had to do a DNF .
It is badly written, have a ridiculous storyline, a sexual content that comes off scary and troubling instead of sexy .
"You were self-assured and secure, even more so than BJ Jones, I’m afraid. Clothes can’t do that,” he states. “Plus, it’s all the more impressive since you’re a gay man. A lot of gay guys I know come off as weak or wimpy. You’re not that at all.”
I am dumbfounded by the 4 and 5 stars review, clearly we didn't read the same book . Could it be that those reviews are mostly ARCs ? Anywho , for me it was a waste of my Kindle battery.
Okay, so I read book one and found it full of cliches. I wanted to be fair so I began book two. I got to the point in the book when BJ is asking Chase onstage. The latter not paying attention likens himself to a “retarded child”. This world we live in has gotten better in some ways of celebrating differences (like gay romances for all to enjoy), but this is a word disliked/loathed by some who have had it apply to them. Edit it. Fix it. I very deliberately did not put the “R word” as subject line to minimize this devolving into a battles of words. But now. Go fix it. Amazon will let me know if you do and I can update this review.
I enjoyed reading this wonderful, emotional MM romance. It has a well-written plot filled with unexpected occurrences & interesting characters. There is: some twists & turns, intrigue, drama, friendship, doubts, attractions, determination, disagreements, accusations, complications, surprises, verbal banter, betrayal, emotional turmoil, happiness, love, steamy scenes & a satisfying epilogue. I would recommend this book.
I really enjoyed this steamy and emotional MM romance. Lots of drama, tension and some intrigue fill the story and helps to grab and hold your attention. A very entertaining read. This is my honest, voluntary review.
