This might be a good book for a small child, but was rather short and lackluster as an adult. The art was cartoonish, so I suppose I might have guessed, but I had hoped that the story would save it. I found myself irritated by the one character always referring to himself in the third person, but other than the look and a name, that character really didn't have any defined features, so I guess it was just a choice the author made. Overall, I was a bit disappointed, but this book might just be meant for a younger reader and not for me.
This was a fun adventure showing Han and Chewie being heroic for a price. The cliffhanger does leave me wanting to read more, but surely the next part could have been included here. I wish that half of this issue wasn't just comprised of ads.
This was one of the hilights of Free Comic book day. I really enjoyed this story and how they used the elements from Tales from Vader's Castle and Smuggler's Blues. THis story connects well with both and was a lot of fun to read.
Going through some comics with the kiddos. I’m not sure I wanna get into some Star Wars comics and this preview really didn’t push me either way. It’s on okay start to a story, and to be honest I don’t want to read the conclusion. I’m not being fair as I haven’t read the complete story, but this adventure with Solo and Chewie saving an annoying guy from some bounty hunters and having those bounty hunters chase them did nothing for me. The art is great though.
Nice little introduction if you're unfamiliar with Star Wars Adventures. It starts and stop the little preview at a reasonable section to feel like a full episode. It's fun and fairly entertaining for readers of all ages, good for kids to follow and good for adult fans.
Definitely just a taster. Fairly short and mostly self-contained but leaves you hanging on a cliff-hanger wanting to continue reading. The other half of the magazine is *all* ads.
