Not your ordinary styling guide and by no means only for Mum's.

As a fan of Mikihila McDaid's blog and youtube channel I really enjoyed reading this as it felt more like an extra long blog post or a chat with a friend as opposed to a scary style guide telling you never to wear horizontal stripes again.

The book I didn't know I needed

Am I a mum? No. Did I appreciate this book for the honesty, unapologetic relatability and actually useful tips? Hell yeah. Reading it felt like a long chat with a mate rather than a stoic meeting with a ~style guru fashion blogger~ and I am HERE for it.

I absolutely loved this book, and I totally agree with the other comments, you don’t need to be a mum to read it. I even took the book on my holidays to re read because I enjoyed it so much. It feels like getting advice from a friend, an honest straight up friend, which is what Khila is, an honest and up front person, if you’re a bit stuck and struggling what to wear or you want some ideas for a new wardrobe, or you’re a mum who’s lost her style, or if you want to read an excellent book that feels like a chat with a friend, then this is for you. 100% recommend, it’s an excellent read.

I actually found the chapters on color palettes quite interesting and useful for my clothes sewing hobby, which is why I’m rating this at all. But I just couldn’t relate to her "lifestyle" advice, so I moved on.
