Akila Jones is a young woman who had a rough childhood growing up in one of Richmond, VA’s grimiest projects. She learns early on that she has to boss up, go in savage mode, and take care of herself by any means necessary. Things were starting to look up for her when she fell for Mari, a well-known hitta from Virginia Beach, VA. Little did she know, she was up for all the bullshit and drama that comes with dating a nigga with money. She’ll learn fast that good sex and playing the good girl was not enough to keep her wild lover under control.
Mari was young, rich, and arrogant. His messed up mentality toward females only makes it worse when he snatches up this young girl that was desperate for a better life. My Rationalization:
All that is left to say after reading "Ridin' For A VA Hitta is be ready for 'a rocky ride with Akila, Mari, Dreema, Rio, Tyrone and a few others as they continue to play this dangerous game of drama, love, twist and turns, lies, murder, and betrayal." This is definitely one of those reads that will keep your attention as you will be kept turning the pages to see what was coming next. I will say this well-written story had some very complexed characters that will have you shaking your head and saying 'what in the world is going on.' It will be interesting in what Akila will do next know that she knows just who Tyrone is. This story will be even more interesting in how this whole story will come out as the story continues..."After the tank was filled, I got back into my truck and pulled off. 95N isn't a bad idea, I thought as I exited..."

Highly recommended
I highly recommend this book. As usual, the author did not disappoint. I was pulled into the storyline as soon as I started reading. Mari made me want to jump into my kindle and just choke him out. I can't believe that he did that to the baby. I kinda felt bad for Akila because of the way he treated her, but then again she worked my last nerve being so naive. A great read.

This was a dope read from beginning to end. When Akila met Mari he introduced her to the good life and all the problems and drama that it came with. From the beginning of the book I could tell they had a real live love hate relationship, it seemed like Akila couldnt catch a break. From her best friend dying her getting raped and to find out that chick Dreema having a baby for Mari that was too much for Akila. She stayed holding mari down though a the while getting her ass beat. I feel like Dreema got what her hand called for and even though the baby wasn't Maris he still didn't deserve to die. Damien ass got exactly what he deserved for murking rhio. He was stupid to think Mari wasn't going to put two and two together. The gorrilla on his back had him doing anything for the dough. I wish Akila had found out what her girl Tesha did. That's what you get when you mess with another chick man AND set him up that's what she get. I'm mad at Tyrone police ass though that was a surprise I didn't see coming. Ms Williams brought that heat again. Can't wait for part two.

Good Book
Sometimes we get to comfortable with our mates that we over look things. We let them treat us bad or abuse us just cause they saved us, helped us, or pay all the bills. Regardless there should be respect as well as understanding. Akila had been dealing with things for a while. When she really sees her boyfriend with her own eyes it makes her wonder why she still there. She experienced a great loss & went through an ordeal that left her distraught. On top of that Mari her boyfriend does not care & not even try to comfort her. Then she meets Tyrone who ain't who he says he is. When all the lies come out people end up dead & trying to find comfort somewhere else. Waiting for part 2 to see how Akila will deal with everything. Is Mari gonna let her be or what's does he have planned. So ready to see what happens in the next part.

Drama drama and more drama
If you're looking for a straight to the point action packed story then this is it. From the very beginning I was hooked and couldn't out the book down until the end. Akila went through a lot of bs with Mari and honey she should've broke wind fast and not slow long ago I really hope she gets a break in life. Tyrone was a shocker, Dreena was never to be trusted with her grimey self and Tesha's scandalous a** bit off more than she could chew and that's what the he'll she get. And then there's Mari ole Mari I swear I wanna to jump in the book and beat him down so bad I had to step away for a minute he was just doing waaaaayyyyy too much and I don't like him at all, I can't wait to see who comes out on top, will it be Akila or dog a** Mari?

Definitely A Great Read
Akila had her hands completely full dealing with Mari betrayal, lies, and secret's. She couldn't seem to catch a break. It seems like everytime she turned around she was faced with one thing after another. Mari treatment of Akila was wrong on so many levels. He seemed heartless towards her. Mari arrogance and trifling ways clouded his judgement. For him to be street smart he was kind of slow. That's why Dreema was able to slide her scheming and scandalous behind in. Although what she was hiding came out and she had to face the consequences of her actions.

Snakes all around...
Akila didn't deserve the treatment that Mari gave her. Mari had a good woman at home and it just wasn't enough. Rio tried his hardest with his little brother. Rio's departure was sad. Dreema was pure drama, she thought thing's would change being pregnant. Jokes on her literally! Tyrone was so persistent with Akila. Opening up to him was hard enough and one again she gives someone a chance and gets hurt. Tyrone was wrong for going about things the way he did.
A lot of secrets came out, hearts broken and lie's uncovered.

Ridin for A VA Hitta
Wow. As always this writer never disappoints. From beginning to end its like you are in a movie. The action is real. Mari is one of the nastiest men ever. Don't want to spoil it but he didn't care who he hurt. Her got more folks on him then he knows. Akila truly loved him till he did the ultimate and gave his one of many side chicks what she always wanted. Akila was no punk though. Then a.ing cams Tyrone man that was a great spin but again Akila was used. I can't wait for pt 2. This author writes like no other. No editing issues which I appreciate. Storyline n characters all on point again you could be in a movie. Well done!!! Bring on pt 2

Crazy!
My word! All of the madness in this work of fiction! Mari was the epitome of a dog and the chicks were cuckoo for his cocoa puffs! He was cold blooded but had the audacity to act like a victim at times! The nerve of him! Dreema was scandalous! Ugh! But what Mari did to her... SMH...I want to go into detail but I try not to put spoilers in reviews. You just gotta read it and see for yourself!! For a while I thought Akila was a fool... Well, I still do in some cases but at least she finally tries to move forward. I sincerely hope that there's a part 2 coming. I want to know more about Tyrone!!! I'm just sayin'... Great read!

Woosha woosha. Great book from beginning to end. Even though Mari was a dog ass Akilah really stuck it out with him (as most women due) The drama and betrayal she went through was enough to make a woman go crazy!! Even though Dreema was a snake ass her and Jr. didn’t deserve what they got. That damn Tyrone. Wow I was blown away with the ending!! Definitely a 5 star read from beginning to end a good page turner

What in the world. I didn’t see Tyrone’s information coming at all. Mari lord Mari was a character that needed a madea butt whooping for real. Akila need or as well cause she was just doing the most. Dreema man she got exactly what she needed. This was a great read. It was well written and had great characters. The characters kept you in suspense. This was a 5 star page turner. Great job.

This author surely knows how to write a book. I don't like Mari and the way he treated Akila. He was very abusive and a cheater. He ha ho's in high places and low places. She Ain't No Snitch.
Let start with saying good job on the storyline twist Raquel, it really threw me for a loop. The characters were on point, and the suspense kept me entertained. I am looking forward to reading part two to see where she lands, and if the money came from the feds, or her being wise and stacking her paper. The editing could have been better, but didn't take away from the plot.

Akila was loyal to Mari and honestly he was a straight up dog he didn't deserve her loyalty or love. Akila had the wrong people she called friends and it always cost her in the end. The book was really great. Mari just is a sick person. Dreema is gonna get whats coming to her. I really like Akila and hopes she gets a happy ending with Tyrone doyble agent self!! Lol. All in all a definite must read.

Really enjoyed this book. Akilia was so slow to stay with a man that did her dirty time and time again. Thought Tyrone was better but not Mari was grimy to kill that baby. Rio was a good man but he didn’t live. Job well done
