Totally adorable!

Both are single mothers and deserve a second chance at love. They started off on the wrong foot and Joy and Sam needed a little nudge in the right direction before love could prevail. This is an adorable, sweet romance and I really enjoyed it.

Two Moms: A Lesbian Romance by Kim Hartfield is not something that I would normally read. Unlike a lot of hetero males I do not find lesbianism particularly erotic.

I have not read that many lesbian romances (I believe this book might be my third, but I am not positive) so I do not have a large pool of experience to draw upon for comparison. I spent most of my adult life in the military where homosexuality was either quietly ignored, prosecuted or treated with negligent indifference.

Two Moms: A Lesbian Romance is one of the better lesbian romances that I have read. The build up to the romance and the back story, bringing the two women together was very well written. I could empathize with both women. I understand the pain of loss and the difficulty with past bad relationships. I like how a booty call morphed into so much more. I felt the romance between the two women was realistic and in line with what I have observed in real life.

I do not believe Two Moms: A Lesbian Romance was written as stroke material so if the reader seeks that look elsewhere. The sex was tender and not safe which I was fine with.

Although I would not have bought Two Moms: A Lesbian Romance I enjoyed being on the ARC team. I would read another ARC from Hartfield.

Two single Moms (sic) for the price of one. Fine and dandy, no real angst though the children were often more mature than the Mums. Will try another of her books.

being a single mom is not easy. my father died of a heart attack when I was barely 11, so I was raised by a single mom.

Samantha and Joy are not only single, but members of the LBGTQ community. Easier in a Seattle suburb than it might have been for them in a rural area like I grew up in, still.

And in this day and age, they can at least legally marry, which was not possible for Samantha to do in the US - she and her first wife went to Canada. From friends and extended family, I am well aware that custody situations with same sex couples can be very tricky sometimes, depending on various state and local laws, and on how bizarrely those can sometimes be enforced.

Together, Samantha, Joy, Avery and Lucas make a charming blended family. Getting there - not totally simple. Samantha the lawyer sticking up for young Lucas and his education and custody rights - big bonus.

If you enjoy romance with a bit of humor, and can laugh at some mama bear action, this is a fun f/f romance!

Love is a Many Splendored Thing…
This is such a sweet and tender romance about two mothers who forge a bond and grow to love each other. Joy and Samantha have their troubles being single moms but they are both strong, loving women who are determined to raise their wonderful kids’ right with love and acceptance. I thoroughly enjoyed this story. There was a lot to it, the relationship between the mothers, the moms to their kids, the kids to each other and so much more. There is a boyfriend to the teenager, the lad’s father shows up, Samantha lets go of her dead wife and learns to love again… so much good stuff and emotional wonderfulness that the awwws will just keep coming. Im pretty sure you will like this book as much as I did!

A second-chance romance to swoon over

Samantha and Joy weren’t looking for love, they were simply trying to get by as single moms, which is such an all-consuming life. I loved how real their struggles were. I felt like the portion with Lucas’s father wasn’t necessary, but everything else about this story gave me the feels. Samantha is definitely my new favorite book girlfriend! I’ll definitely be reading more by this author.

What a great ending. Kim Hartfield did it again. I started “Two Moms” at 11:00 pm, it is now 1:55 am and writing this review to tell you TO GET THIS BOOK. It isn’t only about finding love after being heartbroken or abandoned. It is about how sometimes you need to forget the bad impression and go with what your heart may be saying.

Very well written, great characters, and a HEA. What more can you ask for?

romantic and beautiful

Beautiful story for second opportunities and second chances for love happiness. Interesting characters and real dialogues. An excellent story about building a new non conservative family dealing with teenagers first love and bullying even on young age. I couldn’t put it down a book that it captivated me from the first pages, looking forward to read more books from Kim Hartfield

How long do you take to love again when your former spouse can no longer come back to you.

The tragedy of losing someone and the struggles in their mind of letting go is brought to a stop. Having your child tell you it is okay to love again is a good way of saying enough is enough. Enjoy!

Wasn't sure

When I started reading this story I wasn't really sure I liked it... Joy didn't come across as a very warm person . But as the story unfolded, you got a sense of the love and happiness inside of her that was just waiting for that one right person to unlock it. Nice story.

Two single moms meet under less than ideal circumstances ultimately leading to HEA. Having a teenage daughter/babysitter pushing the two together adds a nice twist. Depiction of public schools' non-response to bullying, followed by a large favorable financial settlement comes across as a little too unrealistic which detracted from the overall story.

Humor, emotions and romance. Samantha and Joy, both single moms struggling to raise their children meet and have a second chance for happiness. The author skillfully deals with the sensitive topic of bullying, emotional bumps and the machinations of the children trying to bring the two moms together. A short story that satisfies.

Unexpected!!

This book was very unexpected to say the least. When I picked it out, I never expected a lesbian romance. However, it i a very good read. One thing either I missed it was not there was, how Leslie got pregnant with Avery. To me that left a hole in the story.

Wonderfully witty with a slice of a year jerker

Totally loved this book. The interest, fear, and love each character expressed. Can't get enough of reading about amazing and yet realistic women as they go through life. Bless you Kim Hartfield.

Samantha finds in Joy a love that rivals hers from her wife Lesley. Joy is a second chance at love for Samantha. Even though the two women started off as friends with benefits. The friendship grows into something so much more.

She has a son and a job and has very little time for love until she meets them. Now all she can think of is helping her to smile. Can these two women find the love they both need? See if love happens

Mmhmm, wild!

In the words of Richie Valens, "its been a rattlesnake." I saw none of that boring back and forth that makes a book monotonous. It is such a pity such a book has ended and it isn't accompanied by a book series. Here's t hoping more comes this 'Two Moms' world.

Interesting how just down the street could be the person for you. Funny how they met. Beginning agreements just don't seem to pan out for the long term.

It's a pretty story, it starts with a good laugh and then it just turns from "I don't do relationships" to "our ship has sailed" lol The kid was a perfect matchmaker and I really loved how she was like "can I babysit?" even if she was grounded just so her mom could go see th neighboor.

This is the first book I read from Kim Hartfield and I think I'll go check the rest of her books. This was a light, fun reading and If you like a story where mom's get together, then this is a good one.
