A BBW Second Chance Romance

The one that got away... and now she’s back in my life.

And in the oddest way. This beautiful woman is working to take over—fast. As if!

Like the guys I work with might listen to her.

But crazily enough, they do. All of them.

Except me.

She’s too sweet and innocent.

Or that’s how I remember her. But she’s all grown up now.

My best friend’s little sister is jacking up my life.

And now, I hear she’s saving herself for marriage and not interested in dating casually.

I’ll change her mind.

Funnily enough, she starts to change mine instead.

Casually doesn’t sound like so much fun anymore.

I’m playing for keeps.

Every good girl deserves a bad boy. ~ Weston

Hey there. I'm Weston.

Have we met? No? Well it's time to end that tragedy.

I'm a former firefighter/EMS guy who's picked up the proverbial pen and started writing bad boy romance stories. I co-write with my sister, Ali Parker, but live in Texas with my wife, my two little boys, my daughter, two dogs, three cats, and a turtle.

Yep. A turtle. You read that right. Don't be jealous.

You're going to find Billionaires, Bad Boys, Military Guys and loads of sexiness.

Something for everyone, hopefully. I'd love to connect with you. Check out the links below and come find me.

Ugh

I thought this book sounded pretty good and looked forward to its release on my birthday. I thought that was so cool. But...nope. Such a disappointment. The book literally opens with a graphic sex scene between the main male and an OW. Disgusting. There needs to be warnings on books like this so I can avoid them, and so others who prefer "safe" books are warned and can find something else to read. This book was just awful. I hate to be so mean, but it was. These scenes don't belong in romance novels. If they are going to be in romances, there needs to be warnings. How is OP sex romantic at all? It isn't. It is nasty and unnecessary.

When The One That Got Away Is The One You Still Love 🔥♥🔥♥

Holy WOW!!!! Daniel McAdams plays the part of cocky playboy baseball pitcher that the press and fans want but it leaves him feeling hollow inside. There's only one woman he wants but can't have and that's Terra Harmon, his high school sweetheart, first love, best friends sister and the one to walk away. Terra left Seattle 7 years ago to GM for the team in Oakland with a shattered heart from feeling rejected from Danny to never look back. Now at almost thirty she is still holding on to her gift or curse of her V card she promised Danny. When tragedy strikes Terra finds herself back in her hometown of Seattle and face to face with Danny and is now his boss. Things don't go quite so smoothly when the chemistry awakens with a force that can't be denied and questions that need answered. Will these strong willed and stubborn lovers give in to their hearts or will another tragedy push them further apart???

A wickedly hot story that will have you swooning one moment then wanting to kick some pitcher butt the next!!! Kudos to Weston Parker and this intense story woven so flawlessly. The characters definitely have chemistry and seem so real you feel heartbroken with their tragedies. Anyone who fights then makes up with the passion Danny and Ter have are truly ment to be together. A MUST READ that you will hate to out down!!! I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book and purchased a copy for my collection of favorites....it's that good.

This book is about the crazy ride of Danny and Terra and the possibilities of second chance romances. Another well written story by Weston Parker with many steamy, sexy and humorous scenes for you to enjoy. Danny and Terra have been separated for seven years, it shows from the start how much these two have loved and love each other even though circumstances broke them apart all those years apart. Danny stayed home to play for Terra's fathers baseball team while Terra took the job managing a team in Oakland. She was so in love with him that all these years she saved herself for him while he went about playing the field and enjoying his time as a player. When his sister dies, he takes the role as father to his niece so she will be well taken car of. When the death of Terra's father happens, she comes home to manager his team which then forces both Danny and Terra to confront those feelings they've had for each other. Can you move on from the past and look forward to a future with love? Can you overcome the fights and differences between two people to seek your happily ever after? There are so many great reasons why you should read this book and since I'm not that reviewer to give the book away, pick it up and see for yourself what everyone is ranting and raving about. You will not be disappointed.

I like Second Chances romances with hot scenes and great love stories but the way this book was executed has left me kind of under the roof when there is a great dance in the rain happening out there. Not a great comparison but the word I wanted to use hid in my head and doesn't want to show itself.

Anyway I felt like this story was overly vulgar and dramatic? Our hero and heroine were making stupid decisions never really committing to what they were saying. Yes- love makes you do stupid shit but I just feel like this was a little bit too much for me. I also didn't really enjoyed the writing style and hoped that we'd find out what they did to Alan or how were other little side stories completed.

I did love the little Peanut and her simple mind. She gripped my hear and didn't want to let go. There is something in stories that kids are also involved in. Their pure minds, honesty or innocence always bring that special light into any plot. She was the main reason for the 3 star. Ok, her and the hot Cookie from the cover ;)

Not what I expected. Not at all. But that is in the most positive way. Second chance stories are normally much alike each other but this one surprised me. I liked it a lot. Well written story with a nice storyline and plot. I like that the characters and how they develop.
A passionate and emotional read with twists. Enjoyable and recommendable.

It is written in dual POV which gives the reader much more of the thoughts and feelings of the main characters. The epilogue is very welcomed and gives the story more to it and it finishes it better of than without it.
There are passion, protectiveness, hot scenes and lots of chemistry in this amazing story.

Are you familiar with the talent and creativity of Weston Parker? If you are, then my review will not be surprising to you, whatsoever. Should you not know his work, I strongly encourage you to pick up a copy of We Belong Together to familiarize yourself. My Lord, I am not one of those reader's to give plots away and I will try hard to convey my feelings on this superbly crafted book without doing so.

In this impressive storyline you are introduced to Danny and Terra. They have chemistry and love between them but is that enough for these High School sweethearts? They go their separate ways and 7 years later, tragedy strikes again, leaving Terra to return home. How they spent their time apart couldn't be more different. While he is definitely a baseball player, Daniel is also a straight up 'Player'. He doesn't want to be told what to do by Terra. She left and now that she's back, she is delusional if she thinks... Do you see where this is going? Oh yes, super hot chemistry and lust but she has always saved herself for him, even when they were apart. Now that they have to work together, things heat up even more. There is so much more to this second chance at love. You can actually 'feel' the emotions and scenarios they find themselves in. This is a beautifully crafted book. Danny is actually a good guy, he just hides it well. Terra is his perfect match in every way. Can they get back their happily ever after and heal old wounds at the same time? Find out right here in Weston's newest masterpiece.

I was beyond fortunate to have requested an advanced reader's copy of We Belong Together in exchange for my honest opinion and I highly recommend this book as well as anything written by Weston Parker.

Daniel and Terra were high school sweethearts. She was the wild child and he was focused on his dreams of playing pro baseball. When Danny was offered a position to play on her father’s pro team his plans for his life were set in motion, but Terra wasn’t ready to settle down.

Now Danny is the wild one, living the life of a pro athlete with money to spare and a body of a Greek god. There is only one thing is missing in his life as a playboy, Terra. Eight years later she is still the girl he thinks about and no other actress, supermodel, or team groupie will do. She belongs with him and nothing will stop him from making that a reality when a turn of events brings them back together. Only this time, she is the one in charge...

This novel was a good read mainly because it gives a new perspective from a male romance writer, Weston Parker. It was refreshing to read events in the mindset of a masculine author, however, it was not perfect. I feel like her virginity was played up to be this big event but she loses it in such a casual way. It was kind of a let down after all of the build-ups throughout the novel.

That being said, I enjoyed this novel and all of the drama that brings these two together. I would suggest working on transitions smoother in the middle of a chapter because it got a little confusing when time and events would jump from paragraph to paragraph. Also, be careful not to repeat minor concepts over and over again when switching from perspectives. Sometimes it’s nice for the two characters to have different thoughts.

I recommend this book for anyone that likes a pro-athlete romance or a strong female lead. I will definitely be reading more of Weston Parker in the future.

Originally published as "Stealing First"

I haven't read anything from Weston Parker in a while, as I was a little disappointed by the last couple of books I did read. This was on sale and sounded good, so I figured I'd give it a go.
Before I made it past the first chapter, I realized that everything thus far sounded really familiar. I realized that contrary to the impression given, this is definitely a republish of Stealing First. Since I had previously purchased Stealing First, I was able to confirm that even the names remained the same.
That being said, We Belong Together is barely an OK read, as it was originally. I really didn't like Danny's character for most of the book, and Terra wasn't really my favorite either. They handle their feelings for each other and their renewed acquaintance as if they are in high school. He, in particular, acts like an emotionally stunted pubescent. And they are both so wishy-washy about how they feel about each other. "I hate you. You're a man-whore. Take my virginity without protection." "I love her, but I'm going to have sex with a stranger in a bar bathroom." The situations and conversations are not naturally flowing and seem almost ridiculous at times. There are some emotional moments that had me a little weepy (about secondary characters). I did read (most of) it again, because I couldn't remember exactly how it ended. Though, I did find my self skimming through most of the sex scenes, because they were so over the top and almost gratuitous at some points.
All-in-all, this is nowhere near my favorite read. Even less so, because I ended up buying a book that I thought was an original story line, but ended up being one I'd already purchased and didn't like all that much the first go round.
Though I started out a huge fan of this author's earlier work, I'm pretty sure this book sealed the deal on it being the last I read from them. Clearly my opinion is not shared based on other reviews.

So much emotion! From the time they were young, these two were designed to be together. But then life got in the way and pulled them apart. This is a fantastic second-chance romance filled with all the angst-y drama my reality TV-loving heart could desire. It had me laughing, sobbing, yelling. It dragged me through the full gamut of emotional reactions, sometimes kicking and screaming. Danny may have spent a lot of time behaving like a player, but just about everything he says and does proclaims how very much he loves Terra with ever ounce of his soul. Swoon. Terra frequently drove me a little mental. She'd listen to Danny, but she wasn't very good at hearing what he was really telling her. I hate the way the ending came about, but I'm so glad they got it. Terra and Danny went through so much to get there and they deserve every good thing that can come their way.
I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book.

This is my 1st read and review for this author and wow what a story and I will be looking out for more from him especially if his books are like this one, this is a good girl bad boy second chance romance and I enjoyed it immensely. Daniel is a star baseball pitcher he’s cocky and a playboy but he never forgot his first love Terra but he had no choice to move on when she left. Terra moved back home she never forgot her love Daniel, when they were younger they promised to be each other firsts in a lot of things but then Daniel done the complete opposite. Now Terra is back and she is Daniel’s boss the team listens to Terra and not Daniel and that makes him furious and when he finds out that she is still a virgin he is more than shocke. When these two get together sparks fly but not in the good way at first but they do end up getting their HEA. This is a fantastic story and I highly recommend this book.

Daniel McAdams is a professional baseball player and a playboy on and off the field. Danny only really wants one woman, Terra Harmon, his high school sweetheart. Terra left 7 years ago to be the General Manager for the team in Oakland after Danny broke her heart. When tragedy strikes, Terra heads home and comes face to face with Danny. Terra is now Danny's boss, but the chemistry between Danny and Terra is sizzling hot. Can Danny and Terra get past old hurt feelings? Will a second tragedy keep Danny and Terra apart? Will Danny and Terra get their second chance at a happily ever after? We Belong Together by Weston Parker is full of hot chemistry, love, anger, sorrow, and romance. I would definitely recommend getting We Belong Together by Weston Parker. I received an ARC of this book, and I am leaving my honest review.

Awesome talk if second chances and baseball

Wickedly Awesome story of second chances and love. Daniel is the perfect aloha, handsome, successful, built, strong, cocky, charismatic and a Major League Baseball pitcher and women fall at his feet. Daniel was finally ready to settle down but no one made the cut. Danny fantasied and long for his high school sweetheart Terra . It’s here we meet Terra the sassy, sexy, sensual, beautiful, daughter of the franchise owner. Terra had been his first kiss, first girlfriend and the love of his life daughter of the franchise owner who had dumped him after high school. Fate brings these two together and the Sports fly. This is a Danny’s story of death, fate, faith, family, trust, forgiveness and love. A fantastic read one that will pull ever one of your heartstrings.

ONE FANTASTIC READ!!!
A wonderful read from the very beginning. I was captivated by the story and continuously found myself drawn to the characters. It was a nice plot and easy to follow. The characters had such chemistry that you could feel the sparks. In true Weston form the characters and their personalities are unique with qualities and traits that balance out perfectly. The chemistry between the two main characters is sizzling. I loved they way they came together so smoothly. The scenes are so graphic and vivid it's easy to picture each scenario as it plays off one another beautifully. Weston did an excellent job bringing this read to life flawlessly.

Ugh. So much of this needed an editor's help. There was little depth, lots of sex (anal) and then the virginity thing was just glossed over.

- Bad transitions (One paragraph we're at home, the next we're at the stadium) such that it's confusing
- I'm still not sure what the issue was that separated them in the first place. The virginity thing was just confusing. She'll have anal sex, but nothing else?
- That he is raising his sister's daughter is admirable. I'm not crazy that the family isn't more honest about all of this. It was annoying. And there's little interaction between the kid and Terra. Why?

This was hard for me to finish. There's an HEA though.

Here’s one spoiler be prepared for not one death but two.
Emotional to the extreme with anger, sadness, jealousy, resentment but a lot of pain. Pain from their past, the things they missed, seaid to each other and promises meaning nothing. One thing Terra promised to Danny years ago is still ready for his taking, but these two people both need a swift kick in their tushies to see what they are doing to each other and themselves.

I voluntarily agreed to receive an ARC of this book for an honest review.

Awesome Kudos to this Author

I read a lot of dark Romance books mainly by female authors ran across this book as a kindle recommendation was not sure about the purchased but I have to give applause and Kudos to Weston Parker for writing a second chance BBW book in a genre where most heroines are described as pixie like or short tiny stick figures it was refreshing to find an author create a heroine I could relate to. I loved the characters and the storyline but most of all I love that this was written by a man.

We belong together. A great read! Weston you made a home run with this book! I was so captivated by the characters and their story. Danny, a baseball player living the life but not in a committed relationship because he messed up years ago with his true love. Years later Terra is back in his life and he doesn't know how to make it work. Tragedy brings them back to understand how precious life and love is and to not take it for granted. *** I voluntarily read a Review Copy of this book. Amazing story

I was totally into this story right from the beginning. Terra and Danny have loved each other since they were kids. But they needed to grow up, grow apart, then find their way back to each other. Both dealing with issues , career paths, and family tragedies, they realize that no one is promised tomorrow. They come to realize that their love has been there all along to carry them through. A HEA sport, gotta love a curvy girl story! I adore anything from this author. A+

Wow

Really wanted to like this one. Especially since it was written by a man. But pretty quickly you can tell that! It reads like a bad porno... Lots of typos. Editing is very bad. Like same paragraph... we're in a completely different conversation w/ different people? I kept having to go back and re-read stuff just to try & figure out what happened! And the h? Is fine w/EVERY sexual act BUT wants to save her virginity for her wedding night?!?! C'mon, give me a break! First & last I will buy from Mr. Parker...

Writers used to need an imagination

Now, it seems more like just a very narrow vocabulary will do. More than 2 dozen ‘F***’s’ in the first chapter alone. That’s not to mention the rest of the decidedly UNromantic language thrown in ...just because the writer knows it, I assume - since it added nothing to the story, and lost its shock value years ago.
Now, it just makes a writer appear lazy, and unimaginative. With a pathetically limited vocabulary.
Not a book I could finish. Certainly not one I would ever recommend.

This book was just “meh” for me. There was a lot of death in it so be prepared for that. Plus, the back and forth between the MCs was so confusing. They would go from loving to hating each other over and over again, sometimes for no reason at all.

Besides those issue there is a big formatting problem. I’m not sure if it’s the author or the way it was uploaded but there is no transition between scenes. You just reading along and then all of the sudden your character is somewhere else or doing something else. All it would take is a space between paragraphs but as it is, it’s rather jarring.

I loved this book! Daniel and Terra are destined to be together, if only they'd stop resisting the pull between them. We Belong Together is a sexy story filled with love, loss and second chances, oh and baseball.
It's been too long since I've read a sports romance, and the fact that this one centered around baseball made it an easy choice for me. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more of Weston Parker's books.

A great read for sports romance fans

Terra, GM for a professional baseball team, and Danny, pitcher for her dad's professional baseball team, have a tumultuous past. As the story progresses they attempt to move away from their past, to get past multiple tragedies and find out who they can be to each other. Weston has packed a lot of emotion in this exciting roller coaster romance read.

Do we belong together woulda e been a better title

The angst in this book was so contrived it was not believable. I love the Parker books but this one did not live up to my expectations. It sort of dragged on the middle with the repetitive angst. The story was not bad just not up to usual standards for this author.

Enjoyable

First time reader of Weston Parker and I was pleasantly surprised. I have never read a male romance author before and really couldn't tell the difference (forgive me for being so typical). It gave me all the thrills I have come to love from contemporary romance. Great second chance romance.
