Wall Street Journal & USA Today Bestselling author, Nana Malone writes Sexy Feel-Good Romance and loves of all things romance and adventure.

That love started with a tattered romantic suspense she "borrowed" from her cousin. It was a sultry summer afternoon in Ghana, and Nana was a precocious thirteen. She's been in love with kick butt heroines ever since. With her overactive imagination, and channeling her inner Buffy, it was only a matter a time before she started creating her own characters.

Tempting the Heiress is book 2 in the Heiress Duet, and you absolutely need to read book 1 before diving into this electrifying and exciting must-read!

Wow….that’s really all I can say after reading this book. WOW! There’s drama, mystery, danger, and shocking twists and turns that have you sitting on the edge of your seat with anticipation! The character dynamic between Jax and Neela was brilliantly written, as well as the tension and conflicting emotions that accompanies the enticing plot line. The alternating POVs that has become customary in these duets, was the ultimate cherry on top of this eloquently wistful romance.

I can’t say much more about this book, as I would give away entirely way too much if I did. Just read it. Tempting the Heiress is a powerful and exciting romantic thriller that will leave you desperate for more from this fabulous author! I can’t wait for the next duet, as each book just gets better and better! Gah, I just love ‘em!

Gah this woman can seriously write amazing books!

ARC received in exchange for an honest review

After finishing the first book in this series I just couldn’t wait for the second book to come along, I absolutely love this series, I love the royals and the bodyguards and everything that comes along with this amazing series of royals.

Book two starts off where book one finished and boy, I have to say this woman is so damn stubborn. Neela has grown up with guards being around her dad and doesn’t trust easily, she wants normal and normal only, so after putting her trust in one man and having him keep secrets from her she feels the betrayal. We see just how much it affects her.

Every since Jax’ life went spiralling all he’s ever wanted was to be back on the king’s watch and doing what he’s doing now is a way to get there. What he doesn’t expect is what he feels for the woman he’s secretly protecting so when it all goes wrong Jax has to fight to make things right again and fight he does. Watching these two overcome the aftermath of the truth coming out is sad.

This story and the characters and ones that I won’t be forgetting any time soon and hope to hear from in future books.

I’ve said this once and I could say it a thousand times, Nana Malone is the queen of Royal books. She has a way of hooking you in completely from the get go until you hit the very last page. Her books are addictive and crazy hot and you’ll love ever single second of reading them.

Tempting The Heiress is full of drama and insane twists. It was shocking and sexy, surprising and phenomenal everything I love in a book.

Tempting the Heiress picks up right where Protecting the Heiress left off, with Neela upset and Jax trying to figure out what to do. Will these two ever be on the same page? And what of Jax' ultimate goal of re-joining the Royal Guard? Can he do that AND have his family of Neela and Mayzie?

I SOOO LOVE Nana Malone's royal stories, and I think this duet is probably her best royal story yet. Jax and Neela are such a dynamic, passionate couple. Plus there's suspense and some intrigue mixed in with Jax and Neela's intense chemistry, AND Ariel and Trace and the king and the queen and the prince are all in the mix, too. And whew, then that very last part that sets up Ariel's story. Dang, I've wanted her story since the royal saga began and now it looks like I'm going to get it. Can't wait!

WOW!!!!!!! WOW!!!!! WOW!!!!!

Tempting the Heiress is the second book in the Heiress Duet and boy oh boy was it out of this world. Once I started reading this book I was absolutely hooked and could not put it down. Book 2 picks up exactly where book 1 left off, so you definitely need to read these in order.

Suspense, drama, action and mystery drive this book and you will not be disappointed. Jax and Neela have so much chemistry, and even though they are both trying to stay away from each other, they are both fighting an attraction that can't be ignored.

I absolutely love these characters and I also love how the story isn't only told from Jax and Neela's points of view, but some of my other favorite characters as well. The way that the author weaves these stories together so that really there are multiple things happening in each book is flawless.

This book has everything! An amazing plot, amazing writing, and amazing characters. I can not wait to get my hands on the next book because the way this book left off will definitely have you begging for more - By Alisa

Jax: Yeah yeah yeah--don't fall for the client. Who are any of the protectors, bodyguards, etc. I know to talk. Half of them are married to their "protectee". Things were going okay, I mean great in the bedroom, the baby is irresistible. Then--she found out I'm more than a manny. Truth is on top of her list of must-haves. I knew not telling her was going to backfire. Didn't know it would hurt so much.

Neela: I should have known--inside I did. What big gorgeous guy like him is going to be the babysitter? I knew getting involved with an employee was wrong anyway. He should have told me. He's just like all the rest of the males in the world. I don't care he was told not to say anything. Once he crawled in my bed all bets were off but honesty.

So-Now Jax has to figure out who is after Neela and or Mazie and get her to understand why he wasn't up front with her. He had to get both of them back in his life. Keeping them safe was first, but a close second was getting her back--if he even had her to begin with. His original reason for taking on the job, was that still important? With the rift between them could he even save her or would her enemies -- not going to happen. He'd find a way.

I love this duet--just like the others. Love, danger, gorgeous guys, steam. strong women and this time add a little cutie pie and what more could you want? My strongest recommendation.

You know you've just finished a good book when the first words out of your mouth after reading the last words of the book are an expletive. And that word is said with smiles and happiness and that satisfaction only a good book can provide. That is exactly what happened when I finished Tempting the Heiress.

This book was beyond expectations good. I am now officially kicking myself that I had not started reading Nana Malone books sooner. But now that I have found her work I plan to read everything I can get my hands on.

This book was the conclusion to Jax and Neela's story. I was super excited to get started with it after the way book one ended, and this one certainly didn't disappoint. The book just jumped off with so much action and excitement. And there were so many unexpected twists and turns. The ending was absolute perfection but I also loved all the words in between.

If you're looking for a book that can make you laugh, make you smile, has action and of course all the steamy romance you could possibly ask for then you should pick up this book.

This is book two in the Royal Elite Heiress Duet. You need to read the first book or your going to be lost. The book is just as amazing as I thought it would be. You will not be able to put this book down once you start it. It has a ton of suspense and drama and will keep you on the edge of your seat guessing at every turn. To say that Jax and Neela have some amazing chemistry is a major understatement. I love every second I spent with my nose buried in this book Do not miss this Duet. Nana Malone is such an amazing writer you will not be disappoint in giving her books a chance.

Tempting the Heiress begins where Protecting the Heiress left us hanging. Neela feels betrayed and is kicking herself for being so naïve as to believe that someone like Jax would be a Manny. There is nothing she would like more than to kick her out of her life, but she knows she must put the safety of Mayzie first.

Jax feels remorse for getting involved with Neela without her knowing the truth. He is determined to show her that although their relationship may have started with a lie that the feelings they have for each other aren’t. As the threat draws closer, he will do whatever is necessary to keep his girls safe.

Suspense, action and hot chemistry combine to take you on a wild ride as Neela and Jax search for their happy ever after. Next up in the Winston Isles series is Ariel and Tristan and I can’t wait for their story.

The man who thought he had nothing to lose, discovers what it means to have a family. Jax is all about the risk, but he's gained a love he refuses to lose. Tempting the Heiress thrills, chills and reveals. Ariel and Jax are on the cusp of gaining forever or losing it all. Malone continues to roar her way into emotions with her larger than life characters. Even at their most flawed, the pull is hard to resist.

I got the answers I was looking for regarding Neela, Jax, and Mayzie. Also got  a lot of action, heat, suspension, and twists, which kept me engaged throughout.
My favorite part of the story is how Neela and Jax always make Mayzie a priority over all chaos and BS. Groundwork is laid out for other couples to have their own book, and I am curious how their stories will go. Good read.

Neela gives Jax a run for his money in this second book of the duet. Jax had one directive, to not sleep with Neela, but really how can you stop two polarized people from not crashing together. Now that the deed is done, they have to navigate their attraction, protect Mayzie and solve the ledger, really, how hard could it be?

In typical Ariel fashion, chaos ensues and there is a race to decode the ledger and keep everyone in one piece. Oh, and fall in love. Jax is so hunky swoon worthy. Neela is no wallflower and together they are a great team and role models for Mayzie.

We get small glimpses of our other favorite characters which is one of my most favorite parts in series.

The first book was way better. I’ll be quick. The fmc was whiny and literally stupid. The mmc seemed like a doormat. The “villain” was literally lol. Nothing else. Just lol. The book had a lot of pov’s that seemed really unnecessary. And lastly I had the strongest urge to slap the Neela.

This book picks up right where book one left of, as is typical of a Nana Malone Duet book. Lots of plot twists and so many interesting characters. If you’re a fan of Ms. Malone, you’ll be rewarded by all the mention of related characters to the Winston Isles sagas. While this duet can be read as a stand alone, you might as well succumb to the allure, and be prepared to indulge in dive into the many books related to these two books.

We continue the bodyguard/nanny romance for Jax and Neela, but we get to see them explore their relationship and pasts more in this book. The plot in this second book is more complex and convoluted than book one, with many intricate details that must be kept straight. Through it all we see Jax and Neela working toward a new future and letting love into their lives.

Neela is quite possibly one of my favorite characters by Ms. Malone. Neela has to deal with some strange circumstances; her childhood, loss of a best friend, crappy ex-boyfriend, guardianship of a child, a new love interest. None are a far-fetched idea, even together they stay within the realm of possible, if not probable. But through it all she acts with dignity and respect and strength and perseverance. Jax is still our hot bodyguard and Maisie’s nanny. He’s a man with his own troubled past. He had some past situations that are clouding his present, but his future with Neela make him face the changes. And through it all he stays focused on their safety. Their story arc is one of my favorites in the Winston Isles.

Heat - Was the heat in the book good? Did it seem organic or forced? Did the characters have chemistry? (If the book is not supposed to have heat, skip this paragraph.)
We got into this book knowing Jax and Neela have chemistry. Despite them having to work through their trust issues, the desire and sexual attraction-and tension-is rife in the first part of the book. When they work it out, their encounters are well written and play into the scenarios, scenes, and overall plot just right

I find myself torn on all of the books by Ms. Malone I’ve read so far. I enjoy them, but after a while I find they follow a pattern or seem predictable; which is hard to explain as each offers very different characters and situations. Yet there is no mistaking the same author crafted each story, offering such consistent writing and dependable and uniform plots. This book specifically I felt had some challenges for the reader in keeping details straight (Willa’s past had so many minute details that were important and relevant, but hard to keep track of).

I find myself glad to be done reading the book, but at the same time, wondering about the stories for so many of the other characters-I do hope Ariel gets a happily ever after, and my brain needs to know the story behind her team! I do wish they weren’t written as duets as I dislike cliffhangers and would much prefer one long book to delve into. But the author gives us a good solid and enjoyable read each time.

Favorite Quotes:
“I wish to Christ when I saw you I didn’t feel like I’d been bloody poleaxed in my sternum. I couldn’t breathe when I looked at you. You stunned me. That’s the truth.”
“We were unavoidable. I can feel you watching me. It’s like a caress.”
If I was going to manage to exert some power over our dynamic, I was really going to need him to wear a shirt. Or I was going to be doomed.”

And the author does it again. Protecting the Heiress set us up like pins in an alley, and then along came this one; the bowling ball that expertly knocked us all down for 10 points.

Poor Neela didn’t know whether she was coming or going in the first book, amp that up to a factor of ten and Neela is continuously scrambling for information behind the curve. Almost everything she believed in or knew was questioned or turned upside down. What should have been gone returns. Rash decisions and knee jerk reactions propel Neela down paths she may otherwise have never used. Taking chances and risking it all for the truth, or is the truth as clear cut as it seems?

Mysteries surround the ledger. Everyone wants the ledger but nobody knows what’s in it. Code cracking at its finest. Deception and lies go back and forth. Who would have thought a Winston Isles book without a Royal as the main character would be as intense as this was!

Bex and Adam were firm favourites of mine. They really were there to watch her back and support however or whenever they could. The interplay was so funny at times I couldn’t not chuckle to myself or roll my eyes.

Jax Reynolds; former Royal Guard turned Bodyguard is in so much hot water I expected his skin to redden like a lobster. How someone as smart as him couldn’t see how much of a huge hole he was digging himself, is beyond me. Someone should have taken the shovel off him a while ago. Miss Mayzie May had him wrapped around her pinkie before he could even unpack his bags. Truly priceless.

“You and Mayzie have become my whole world. You are my family. You are the ones who brought me back to life. I should never have discounted that. The only excuse I have is that love broadsided me, and I wasn’t ready. It wasn’t in the plan. All that was supposed to happen was I was supposed to protect the heiress, instead, I fell in love with the both of you.”

Royal Elite is Ariel’s baby and as such she gets a whole lot of page time. Moving her story on in leaps and bounds, it most certainly is leading down an interesting path.

Along comes King Sebastian throwing all manner of wrenches into the machinery. He’s been up against The Council since jumping onto the big chair. Even though his happily ever after has been, these books still leave space for interplay and development of one of the fondest loved characters of Winston Isles.

The balance in any book of this author is sublimely done. Heavy and light. Romantic and intriguing. I am never disappointed and I just can’t stay away.

You must read book one. So if you haven’t, STOP! Go back and read book one so you will fully understand what is going on, who all the characters are, and what has motivated them to think and feel the way that they do. Can they act childish and stubborn at times? YES! But until you have walked in their shoes and experienced their fears, trials, and woes, we can’t say poop.

Now this book opens up with Jax doing some major backpedaling. He knows he screwed up royally (like how I did that). Tough crowd. Anyway, he took liberties with our girl before he told her the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. And with the last cheater in her life, the fact she had been living with this one is not helping. Especially knowing his colleagues know and she was the last to know.
She is beyond pissed. So mad she is not speaking to him and tells Ariel off, then gets in her car solo and drives off.

Knowing her team would have to follow. She drove straight to the lawyer, Mr. Bipps, to have it out with him. Telling him that she told him that she was very specific in telling him no bodyguards. He said, “Yes, you were. But that his decisions supersede her decisions when it comes to Mayzie’s safety. Until they can figure out who the threat is exactly, then it is his responsibility to make that decision. Once they find those threats to her, then they can relax the security measures. He asked how she found out the agency was supposed to be the best.

In her head, she thought being a small business owner, she knew how hard it was out there. So she couldn’t throw them under the bus. She said they never felt like nannies to me, so I started snooping. That’s when she found the magazine. When she gets back to the house, Jax and Mayzie are back from the park, and he’s feeding her. She bends down to kiss her, and Mayzie gives her back a sloppy little kiss. Jax tries to speak, but Neela just walks out the door and goes out to the cottage where her office and two employees are.

Jax knows she feels betrayed because her ex, Dick, betrayed her twofold, and then you start adding up all the other people in her life, and she was just over it. But it was her two best friends that worked for her that came through for her, forming the completion of their version of the three musketeers. It’s Bex and Adam who back her no matter what and work around the clock to make sure they are on top of the business and are working the code. Jax had to show rather than tell how he felt about her until she was willing to listen. And that is when things get dicey all the way around.

Never saw anything happening quite like it did. Color me surprised. It was a rush in a lot of places. Can’t wait to read more. Please say there is more about Ariel and her band of royal misfits.

What can you expect from Nana Malone’s Tempting the Heiress, the sequel in the Heiress Duet?

Swoon-worthy romance at the heart of the novel? Check!
Witty banter that will have you struggling to keep laughs in? Check!
A fast-paced, adrenaline-fueled plot that will literally have you tearing through the pages? Check!

Neela is now aware of Jax’s real job and the life that he leads. The danger to all of them is now more prevalent in their lives. Put on the run due to an invisible threat connected to a mysterious, cryptically coded ledger that has put the targets on their backs.

Still trying to navigate this strange royal world, Neela attempts to keep Mayzie as safe as she can while still protecting her heart from Jax. With the secrets out in the open, Neela still can’t get past the fact that Jax lied to her but she also can’t deny that he’s taken root in her heart.

Jax isn’t sure how he can protect both Neela and Mayzie but knows that he has no other choice but to try. He’s found the people he loves. It is something he never dreamed would be possible for him and now, he won’t let anything or anyone keep them apart.

What this series and this author does extremely well is that the characters are simply kick ass. There is no other word to describe them. Especially the women. They are such strong characters who have this fierce drive and power to follow their dreams. None of them are going to be pushed around and sent into submission because of a little danger. Instead, they choose to face everything head on. You see this in Neela with how fiercely she protects her new family. Jax is also a man of mystery that we need more of in this world. He brings hope that there could still be good guys out there that aren’t afraid of strong women and want them to succeed just as much as they do.

The drama and excitement that came with the previous novel follows where the previous novel left of. Because of this fact, you do need to have read the first novel in the series in order to understand all aspects of the plot and characters. Jax and Neela are hotter than ever before, if that is even possible. With all the secrets out in the open, the pair is trying to figure out their new normal. The danger adds to the craziness that seems to follow their lives. The intricacy of the plot and the amazing writing brings the novel to the next level.

This is was a great conclusion to a really great duet. I absolutely loved the mystery involved in this one, and the plot twists were unbelievable. The twists and turns never stopped, not even on the very last page of this one. Nana Malone kept me on the edge of my seat during this entire duet. The story was paced perfectly. I loved the way the events unfolded in this one. Neela and Jax were definitely on one serious roller coaster of a ride. I absolutely loved how the next story line, which I believe will feature Ariel, was interwoven into Jax and Neela's story. And can I just say that I would love for Sebastian and Penny to be my King and Queen. I am so in love with these Royals. I hope Nana Malone never stops writing about them, because I truly enjoy the saga of the Winston Isles, and all of the wonderful characters that inhabit this world.

Jax and Neela's story picked up right where Protecting the Heiress ended. These were absolutely perfect for each other, but I seriously needed them to communicate more with each other. The lack of communication continued to cause them issues that could have been solved by just speaking to each other. And yes, it was understandable that Neela was upset about Jax not telling her the truth from the beginning, but seriously, Neela was not taking the security concern seriously in the beginning, so would she really have agreed to have Ariel's team guard her and Mayzie had they been truthful with her. I, honestly, have to say, that Neela's anger towards to Jax, and her and her team's decision to treat Jax and Ariel's team as though they were apart of the bad guy clique was a bit annoying, since everything Jax was doing showed how much he cared for her and Mayzie. So, I really wished that Neela had let that go sooner than she did. She held on to the Jax doesn't really care for her troupe just a bit too long for me, when he was doing everything in his power to prove that he did. I felt bad for him.

Like I said, this was a fantastic conclusion to this mystery shroud plot with so many plot twists that you didn't think the mystery would ever be solved or that things would workout. Well done, Nana Malone! Well done. I thoroughly enjoyed this one, and now I am anxiously waiting Ariel's story.

Tempting The Heiress by Nana Malone was one adrenaline filled exhilarating ride. I was literally biting my nails and swooning over Jax and Neela all the time. I haven't read any other author who can mix contemporary romance and thrillers so effortlessly with perfect balance.

The second book of a duet, Tempting the Heiress is about tying up the loose ends. Both in the secret mission and the lead couple's life. Neela knows now that Jax is not a Manny. The cat is out of the bags and she hurting from the betrayal. She doesn't want anything to do with Jax but soon she realizes that her life is in danger. And so is little Mayzie. And while they fight the invisible enemies along side each other in their own way, she can't fight her love for Jax. A treasure hunt with ciphers, codes and secret ledger. International crime world connection. The continuous chase for truth along with the sexy and sizzling hot love story of Jax and Neela. And I devoured it in one sitting.

I love Neela even more than first book. The smart, super intelligent and fearless woman is always the most attractive part of a story to me. And Neela is every one of that along with caring, passionate, loving and loyal to the point of almost mortyrdom. Jax has won me over completely. Seriously why can't we see these kind of men more in real life? He is protective about Neela and Maizy. He is uber bossy in bed and ruthless skilled soldier. But he also respects Neela and can do anything about her. As usual, you will meet some amazing badass secondary characters from first book again. And Nana Malone left a teasing hint of next book on last chapter.

The plot is flawless and intricate. The writing is smooth, crispy and has a certain edge. Nana Malone knows for sure how to write a complete entertainer. You want sexy, steamy and naughty? Check. You want swoon worthy intense romance? Check. You want some witty banter? Check. You want an adrenaline rush from solving mystery and completing secret missions? Check. Seriously you can't want anything from a romance that won't be in this book!

Jax Reynolds continues us on the journey that was started in book one. He feels remorseful about what happened. Neela Wellbrook is not happy about what has been revealed. Ariel Scott still seems to have a supporting role here but she seems more of a conductor to those around her.

This story had me thinking of a movie mashup. With the last book I thought of Vin Diesel in The Pacifier. This time I thought to mix that with Kingsman: The Secret Service. All the action and suspense kept me well entertained. Add in Jax and Neela into the mix and that just made me a very happy camper. In this one, Neela surprised me with her resourcefulness.

Our author is very good at giving her readers surprises. She put in one that I never saw coming or even thought that she would put in that type of twist. But that just shows what makes her so creative and good at what she does – it’s also why I like to keep reading her material. Some people like to binge watch a TV show. Me, I would love to do a marathon of Nana Malone’s work. My problem would be when would I do it because I keep looking forward to her next book coming out – I’ll get there someday.

Because this is the second book in a duet, you don’t want to read the books out of order. Don’t you want to experience Jax through Neela’s eyes right from the beginning? Don’t you want to know why Jax is so persistent here? It would be like reading a book backwards or reading the ending first especially when we’re left hanging. And that leaves me looking forward to what comes next.

I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.

I am finding myself loving Nana Malone's books more and more. Following Neela and Jax's story helps that feeling along. I loved reading their story as they get past the mistrust that had come between them. I can't wait for her next book. Dawn

Dare I say that book 2 was better than book 1? Completely deserving of all 5 stars. This was a great read that will have you biting your nails sitting at the edge of your seat. Romance and suspense in perfect harmony. The twist and turns kept me hooked and the heat between Jax & Neela had my fanning myself. This book is a must read! Andrea

Passion, love, adventure, action, suspense, this book gave it all! I loved this expansion of Ms. Malone's Royal series. Jax is the hot body gaurd-manny trying to protect Neela, the code cracking single mom, who just inherited a baby and a bunch of trouble. When lines are crossed and things you thought you knew become lies and betrayal, this story heats up fast and will keep you turning pages until you reach the last! Helen

"Neela gives Jax a run for his money in this second book of the duet.

Oh, how things continue to heat up in the second story of the Royal Elite series.  Tempting the Heiressfinishes the storyline of Jax Reynolds protecting Neela and Mayzie but leads into the next story that promises to be just as tempting.  Nana Malone continues to astound us with this royal series and the scandals and mysteries that keep coming to light.  With wonderful characters and incredible scenes both action and sexy the books are hard to put down.  Tempting the Heiress continues with the 5-stars just as the previous royal stories have.
Neela Wellbrook has been given custody of Mayzie, her best friend’s baby.  With Willa’s death Neela is overwhelmed with sorting out life with a new baby, trying to keep her own business afloat, dealing with Willa’s art gallery and now trying to figure out and decode a ledger that Willa left for her.  Finding out that her gorgeous manny Jax is really part of a security team breaks all the trust that Neela had left.  Now Neela, Jax and Mayzie are forced to run because someone is determined to get Neela and Mayzie because of the shady dealings that Willa was involved in.  Jax is determined to keep the girls safe, not because they are his job but because he has fallen in love with Neela and sees Mayzie as his own.  In the process of trying to get back into the Royal guard which he thought was his family, Jax has come to realize that the two girls are real his family.  Now with Neela feeling betrayed and the bullets flying Jax must find a way of Tempting the Heiress back into his arms without getting them all killed.

Really enjoyed this book. As usual the author didn't fail to deliver. It had intrigue, mystery, romance, villains, twists and turns, beautiful scenery and heat, really good heat.
I was really happy to see characters from previous books intertwined into the story. I love when we get to read about people from past books that I’ve come to love.
One of my favorite aspects of this authors stories is that she writes kickbutt, smart, women in her stories. Each character has their own flaws, but seriously, who doesn’t. That’s what makes them real. That being said, we get to witness the evolution of them into so much more. However, it’s done in a realistic way.
In the previous book I had about ten theories of how the story would play out. Well I’m here to tell you my who (or how many) done it, so to speak were totally wrong! The author really got me good on this one. That’s a good thing. It means the story has a lot of depth.
The main characters Jax and Neela had such good chemistry, a lot of back and forth, and push and pull. I want to say so much more but I don’t so spoilers because I don’t think it’s fair to the author. Read the blurb. Better yet read the book.
One of my favorite parts is how the story ended. I’m looking forward to the next installment of the Royal Elite force. There’s so much more to be eaten up and digested. Don’t get me wrong you can read book one and book two and be satisfied. But why do that? I’m invested in these characters. To the author I say once again well done!

Tempting the Heiress by Nana Malone is the second book in the brand new Heiress Duet. Picking up where Protecting the Heiress left off we are smack dab in the middle of all kinds of drama.

Neela knows the truth about Jax and the rest of her "nannies", the threat against her and/or the baby is still real and looming, and now she has to leave the one place she felt safe and leave her business to be run by her two best friends/employees. She knew raising a child wouldn't be easy but she didn't expect all of Willa's drama coming after her too.

Jax will do whatever it takes to keep Neela and the baby safe. Even if that means dealing with a narcissistic pathological liar that Neela still sees with rose-colored glasses. As the danger mounts, however, the severity of their situation and the reality of people's actions set in. But did she realize the truth in time to keep her family safe?

Steamy, hot, well-written and well-paced I have fallen head over heels for this author's work and am excited for the next book about the Royal Elite in Ariel's story, Return of the Prince. Enjoy!

Jax Reynolds is a former member of the Royal Elite and is now working undercover as a Manny to Mayzie, when his cover his blown when he chooses to mix business and pleasure.

Neela Wellbrook is disappointed when she discovers her Manny is not who he says he is and vows to get to the bottom of the deceit. She is working hard at trying to decipher the journal that belonged to her best friend Willa Mackenzie and that seems to hold all the answers to the mystery surrounding Willa's death.

Yet soon Neela finds herself shocked to discover more deceit and can she get to the bottom of everything while keeping Mayzie safe and will she trust Jax again?

This was a great conclusion and I loved that some of my hunches proved correct!!

I completely understood why Neela was hurt by Jax but I really wished she understood that his feelings for her were truly sincere. I was glad when she finally began trusting him again and seeing that he truly had her best interests in mind.

I really felt bad for Jax as I knew his feelings for her were true but he kept his true reason for being there under wraps which ruined the trust between them.

So I was anticipating the big reveal in this book and I was still so disappointed in the character and everything they did. It was clear how self-absorbed they were and how they had everything planned from start to finish.

I was still amazed at how far Neela went to protect those she cared about even though she really went about it a dangerous way!

The end was tense for a bit but I loved the way everything turned out!!
