Sometimes it takes a bit for things to come together and become what they should. At the end you can only hope the ride was worth it. I'm here to tell you that, for me, it was indeed.
A love like Dawson and Izzy's got crafted experience by experience and the way back to one another was not an easy path. However, they got to clear the way and grow as individuals before they could enjoy the reunion. I liked that the characters were flawed. Even as I found myself frustrated with them sometimes, they stayed true to their nature.
The plot was interesting and included an added element of suspense. The writing solid. While I would've loved for the main conflict to have been resolved in one book, I see the value in taking the time to really establish and support the development of the relationship. It certainly wouldn't have been as thoroughly done if crammed into one novel.
All in all a great conclusion to Dawson and Izzy. I look forward to getting to know the other band mates.

Charli B. Rose, I love this series with the close knit group of friends, reading how Dawson & Izzy grow from kiddy love to the love that consumed every part of their souls, I was left wanting more.

As I had hoped, the unfinished melody did, indeed, end on a high note with enough sweet harmony to last a lifetime. I've been enchanted by this series from the very start with its mix of both beautiful notes and colorful images from two amazing characters that stole my heart and sent me head-over-heels into their love story.
3.5 Stars Dawson & Izzy's finally through all the misunderstandings of the first 2 books. This one centers on them re connecting and while I found this story a little too convenient in spots, it was ok. My biggest question is why Izzy's health issues weren't dealt with after that being a big point throughout. Nice touch mentioning Bands from other Rock Authors during the AMA's.
You guys I AM SO SAD!! I DON'T WANT THIS TO BE THE ENDING FOR DAWSON AND IZZY! I fell in love with them :( I want them to have babies and everything! I need moreeeeee!!!!
I can not even explain to all of you how much this series means to me. I love how Charli shows all the different sides to the characters and all the ups and downs. I freaking LOVE rockstar romance books and Dawson and Izzy's story will forever be cherished by me.
First, let me state that not only is this book a romance one, but this book will have an amazing suspense/thriller vibe to it! Shit got real and scary at one point! I couldn't put the book down and had to know wtf was going to happen!!
I am so happy to have read this series only to be even more excited for the next adventures of the other bandmates! I have so many questions and I hope Charli brings us more Lyrical Odyssey stories! I don't want to spoil the story, but for all of you considering reading this piece of treasure, I recommend it 100%! You will not regret it, and you will fall in love with these two amazing characters.
Till then, I hope this will never be the end of this beautiful series!

I still don't like serial books. If this is your first one read in the series I think you'll do fine. The weeks/months between books has me losing the vibe of the story, although this is a cool tale, having been told over three books causing it to have lots of catch up and reminders of what happened in prior books. Why couldn't it just be one really nice book? Jane Austen hadn't done this, however I think she was poor when she died.....
I am screaming inside! I'm dying inside! I am absolutely in love with this series! What an amazing author! The series has made me laugh, is made me cry, I have felt hope, love, joy, sadness! I can't wait to read more by Charli
Words can't even describe how much I'm in awe of this book. I didn't honestly think it could beat book 1 'Beats of the Heart' and book 2 'Notes of the Heart' but it so did...(Make sure you read them first before this one, otherwise it won't make any sense!!)
So 'Songs of the Heart' is book 3 in the Lyrical Odyssey Rock Star Series it is about Izzy and Dawson trying to reconnect. Izzy has been in a relationship with Beckett for the past 6 months but she knows something is missing. She then comes face to face with Dawson after just over 2 years at her parents little pre get together. Dawson desperately wants to get things but on track after so much lost time, but with Beckett in the way and a stalker harassing him, is it best he stays away or fights for the love of his life? Read and you shall find out! Trust me you will not be disappointed.
These books have literally took me on a emotional roller coaster that I didn't want to end! It has so much detail in this book and you feel such a connection to the Izzy & Dawson. The love between Dawson and Izzy is so sweet and passionate. Charli B. Rose really knows how to suck you into her books. I just couldn't put this book down, read it in a day... That's how good it was.
I'm honestly so happy I stumbled across you! And I very much look forward to reading about other band mates. I would also love maybe a little extra about whats in store for the future with Izzy and Dawson.
Charli B. Rose you have a gift of writing and a way with words. Thank you so much

woah......okay. One word to describe this entire story- faithful. From the very beginning, I was in complete awe of how the love between Izzy and Dawson is so absolute. There's really no other word to describe something damn close to a wonder of the world. The ONLY thing I had a problem with was that the writing could have been better. While the concepts, ideas, characters and plot line were all beyond words.....the writing could have definitely been better to compensate for the grandeur of everything else. And bring the whole tale to a visceral level.
But above all.....the one thing that highlighted this story amongst all the other rockstar stories....is that Rose wove REALITY into her story. From the soundtrack of real songs backing every scene, the very real perfume scent that Izzy uses, the song references in the book, to how she referred to bands made of the imagination of other rockstar writers. It all made everything REAL. Tactual. Cemented. It went beyond where an average love story ends- in the height of perfection and fate, and spills over into realm of- could this really be real?
It made the possibility of a real-life Izzy and Dawsons story a very tangible prospect. That is the reason why this particular series captured my mind.
This book had all the feels and a bit of a mystery. This book we find out what happened??!!?! How could our childhood sweethearts go so off the rails when they seamed perfectly matched, almost sickly to watch them be in love.
Well it was pure stupidity on both parts. Izzy went home though she couldn’t be pregnant and was messing like crazy. Dawson lost his phone and was also trying to get ahold of her and just not understanding what happened! Both of them with ridiculous insecurities and both armed with new phone numbers by happenstance, they just lost each other.
She thought he fell for the pressure of the label and went on without her. He thought the fame was too much pressure and she went on without him. In reality she changed her number to avoid the media storm she had been thrown into and he lost his phone all at the same time so he never got her message because everything was linked to his phone and the band manager suggested he make new accounts because they thought his phone had been stolen by a groupie. Then Izzy spent a good amount of time on deaths door with a rare unknown sickness and Dawson had no idea or he would have dropped everything and come. Dawson did try to reach out though family but his new number was not given to Izzy because she was so sick and her mom was worried what it would do to her will to fight this sickness because she thought Dawson had cheat on Izzy. So he did try, he even sent gifts and cards on her birthdays he missed but they all went unanswered, he fell completely into drugs and drinking to numb his pain and tried to move on but he could never do it when the time to hook up with anyone else came along. By the time Izzy was well she was trying hard to move on, because she thought it was just what she had to do. She was dating one of the doctors that helped save her life but she had gone from this vibrant, full of life girl to one that was just existing. (Side note she didn’t get Dawson’s new number till right before they saw each other again after 2yrs apart and he found his lost phone on the last day on the tour bus ( around the same time she got his number)when he was making sure he had all his stuff he drop something down the side of something and when he went to get it he found the lost phone and discovered she had been frantically trying to reach out to him, she never just left)
Izzy was dating Beckett and he was a good guy he really liked her and want more with her and she was going through the motions with him but she knew it didn’t feel right but she was really trying. Beckett didn’t know her before she was sick and once he realized she was living half a life he started to question things and once he saw the love between Dawson and Izzy on a few meeting and a concert he couldn’t in good conscience continue to fight for Izzy and he broke up with her.
Once Beckett broke up with her Izzy knew where she was meant to be and so did Dawson.
They had a pretty bad stocker situation to handle and I won’t say who it was but it was not who it was expected and was surprised for sure.
There are several other books with Dawson and Izzy so the story is not over yet and i am looking forward to being in their sticky sweet world again in other adventures. There are also books on the other band members which i am really looking forward to. Even though these books are pretty sticky sweet i still really enjoy them and will definitely read all connected books.
I didn’t bring this up in my previous two book reviews on this series because i didn’t really use it. But this author has a playlist to go with the book. I think i didn’t use it because i couldn’t listen to the book and play the song on the same device, but this time i half read the book and half listened to it so i stopped and went through all the books and put all the song in order on one play list with the books name and when i would get to where it showed the song i could play it on apple music while reading on kindle app and i used my ipad to play it when i used speechify app to listen to the book and it made it such a more pleasant and powerful impact on those spots in the book because the songs words said everything that was meant or needed to be said. The play list over 7 books was 24hrs long so lot of music. There were some replay songs but most of them were played just once and fit in perfectly 😍. So if that’s something you can do i would suggest it.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️= definitely kept my attention. 🌶️= lots of sex but not so detailed that you blush. ⚠️= there is somez talk of drugs and drugging someone and some potential violence. It’s not much but there is a little. 🔈/📱= i half read it on kindle app and half listen to it with speechify app ®️= rented it with kindle unlimited

The finale conclusion is so good. The one disappointment is that Lila got away with what she did. She made the point of sending the video and picture to Izzy and gave out her # to make her change her #. If the parents had been helpful it wouldn't have worked. And for some reason Dawson never put 2+2 together when his phone came up missing and Lila came out of the bus and had a new phone and number quickly in a foreign country. She did have a thing for Dawson as she touched him when she had no business doing so. I felt like you were turning her into the good guy. Because of her Dawson ended up on alcohol and drugs and going down hill. Yet that was never dealt with. Dawson never knew and yet they were hiring her? That was my disappointment in the story. Otherwise I loved this story and will read the next books to see what happens next in their story. I only hope Dawson and Izzy are in there alot 😊.
This third installment of Dawson and Izzy was spectacular. There are some tough conversations in this book that had me on the edge of my emotional seat. Things left unresolved are explored both with Dawson and Izzy and Beckett and Izzy. Everyone around them can see the love that will not go away. I was so elated that they, meaning Dawson and Izzy, saw potential in being friends again and more than friends. Dawson had me angry at the end of book one, hopeful at the end of book two and finally swooning at the end of book three. Izzy is a special girl who deserves the kind of love Dawson is finally ready to give.
Dawson and Izzy have been friends since the were kids and later it moved on to soul mates. After Izzy leaving after visiting Dawson they lose.contact.Neither reaches out to the other thinking it's over.Izzy meets Beckett her doctor when. She becomes ill and once he no longer is her doctor they start a relationship. She doesn't feel what she had with Dawson.Dawson on the other hand gets into all kinds of things that's how he handles his broken heart. The two end up being at the same place on her parents anniversary the sparks are definitely.still there.will.these two men's there.broken hearts get back together. This was.a.awesome series
Wow, to the author. I really enjoyed your stories about this couple. I won book one through a party and I had to read the other books. They were amazing. The storyline was great, and I loved your characters. You also threw in a twist at the end I didn’t see coming, and that blew me away. I pictured someone else was the cause of all the trouble. 😂 I would love to read more about Dawson and Izzy and their love for each other. It’s hot and they are perfect for each other. I wish I could give it more than 5 stars. Awesome job ❤️❤️❤️
This review is for Dawson & Izzys story in books 1-3. I’m a sucker for second chances and those who were childhood friends. It would have been impossible to not fall for Dawson! The author delivers the best qualities in this story; a sweet love, lots of angst, smoldering bedroom scenes, hurt, longing, mystery. Lots flash backs paint the picture from their childhood to share their full relationship. My only critique would be that I would prefer the story from beginning to end vs. the many flash backs. BUT, in the end I was swooning and completely happy with the ending of book 3.
Book 3 was worth the wait. Every song was perfectly placed and the book was amazing!
I loved Dawson and Izzy from the beginning of book one. I hated waiting for more of their journey but Charli said it would be worth the wait and she wasn’t kidding.
If you haven’t read them start from book 1 it does need to be read in order.
I will continue to read more from Charli B Rose and I can’t wait for more books on the other band mates!
First off let me say I had to read all 3 books straight through, thats how awesome they are! I'm trying to think how I can write this without giving to much away. At the end of this book I so did not expect one person to be who she was. And holy hell the hotness and chemistry between Daw and Izzy was just wow. This book was PERFECT! I have no other words to describe it other than hotness, perfection, and love.
Wow, wow, wow. This series was by far the best I have read in 2021. OMG, Izzy and Dawnson are couple goals, lol. I cannot describe how absolutely amazing this last book in their story was. It was beyond anything I thought it would be. Once I started reading, I honestly could not stop. I read until I had to just dress and go to work the next day. It was truly an amazing read. Fantastic book and highly, highly recommended.
Each book gets better and better. Not sure how the author does it but WOW... This book with a few twist and the characters had me reading until the early morning, needing to know what was going to happen. Being together for long and then one day the one is gone, no reason and then to show up 2 years later . Just read theses books. You really need to read , Beats of the heart and Notes of the heart as well. Its a must if you enjoy the way this author tells a story.
This is book three in the epic story of Izzy and Dawson. This story and this couples history is so well written. A true second chance romance with a touch of suspense. This is a new to me author and I enjoyed her writing style and character development. The characters are mature and own their actions. It must be read in order and is Worth three books to tell their story which I am volunteering to leave a review
This was such a sweet book with characters you will absolutely LOVE!! Dawson and Izzy's love story isn't over by any means. They just have some hurdles they have to get by. This book proves the power of true love and how that love changes a person. Dawson and Izzy have been alot in life but their love hasn't died. I will say I loved how well the relationship between her and Beckett was handled. He saw what they had and decided to step back like a mature adult. This book truly proves how love wins in the end. Their was a little bit of a mystery stalker that honestly if I looked back at the other book with them in it, I could have probably figured out but didn't. It was a really good book with a storyline!! Loved every minute of it!!
What a conclusion and a twist. Loved it loved it loved. A complete and total worthwhile wait to get Izzy and Dawson's story. Looking forward to the next in the series. Also i want Charlie B. Rose to know I appreciate the list you compiled at the end of other books you mentioned. I had actually started highlighting each one I noticed only for you to do it for me at the end.
Through this series i was elated, crushed and put back together by the third book. Wow I really thought the stalker would have been Cleo but her words didn't make sense to me. But then going back as in time I knew it would be Casey! I'm so glad Dawson and Izzy got their moment to shine! Your awesome Charli B Rose i look forward to your next adventures with bells on.
I love how no matter what Izzy and Dawson have thrown at them they still managed to get through it and there love comes out even stronger and they have a love that will last for ever and even of the world would ened they would still manage to be together or find there way back each other no matter what love always wins
I loved Dawson. I loved Izzy. I knew it going to be her...wink wink who the stalker . I hated lela. I didn't think that Dawson should of given her a shot when left the label. After all it was her that leaked all the info on izzy and that wasn't brought to light. Wasn't a Dr fan
Although it would probably enhance your enjoyment of this book, I didn't really find it necessary to read the first two books in this series to enjoy this one. In fact, I suspect for me, the angst and having to wait for this one to get resolution to Dawson and Izzy's story would be frustrating and overkill.
First love ends in first heartbreak can two people overcome that pain and find each other in the end. Dawson and Izzy characters were beautifully written. Their passion was real and when Izzy’s heart broke so did mine. When she moved on I was hoping that Dawson would swing in and steal her back. This book did not disappoint and I love this series with each book that comes out.
This is the final part in Izzy’s and Dawson’s story. This story had me crying at times, then bliss at others. There are some really emotional hard conversations that happens in this book. This is an amazing series and everyone needs to read them in a row. The real songs intertwined within the book makes you feel like your a part of the book watching it on a movie screen.
Songs of the Heart is book 3 in the Lyrical Odyssey Rock Star Series. This is agreat second chance romance story. Izzy and Dawson grew up together and pretty much did everything together. Things happened and it's 2 years later. This is a great ending to their story. You will get sucked in just like i did.
Glad for the happy ending. I would not make friends with Cleo and I can't believe they let Lila back in their life or that Dawson didn't figure out she was the one who took his phone and hid it. She caused the downfall of two people and never paid for it. Too bad it all ended. LW
