Strength in numbers. Death alone. In the little towns scattered among the Smokies, people vanish without a trace. Not one or two. Not dozens.

Hundreds.

No one asks questions. No one except Detective Tristan Sidders, and he’s treading on perilous ground. In these mountains, a powerful mob rules from behind the curtain, unchallenged, and they want him to keep quiet.

Instead, he asks Hyla and Lizeth Frontenac to take the case.

For a killer is hiding in this chaos. A killer who targets women. A killer who may not be human. Though he’s been careful for years, his latest victim escaped, and she’s left clues behind.

As the mob closes in on the sisters, a sinister old man appears, spouting threats and prophecies. The curtain shifts a little. Behind it, the sisters find a decades-old secret, almost too horrific to be believed.

And if they don’t defeat it, mankind will be doomed.

Women’s detective fiction just got a lot more scary. Welcome to the world of The Frontenac Sisters: Supernatural Sleuths & Monster Hunters , a new psychological fiction/mystery series that is guaranteed to keep you up at night.

Death Knell is the third of three books that combine a good old-fashioned amateur sleuth (two, in fact), with spine-tilling suspense, just enough horror to keep you on the edge of your seat, and the heart-pumping adrenaline of a fast-paced thriller.

Sleuths and sisters Hyla and Lizeth Frontenac run their own unique private investigator business from a small town in the Adirondacks. But they’re more often in their 1972 Ford Econoline van, driving across rural America to investigate their next case.

They’re not technically professionals, not really. The crimes they investigate are more dark and disturbing than the average. More…bizarre. Criminals are cloaked as supernatural creatures, occult forces threaten them at every turn, and the confused victims demand justice.

Lucky for the victims, when these women sleuths are on the case, no monster is safe.

For Kindle readers who enjoy a strong female lead protagonist, this thrilling series of paranormal private investigator mysteries will have you hooked from the first word. From the twisted imagination of mystery, suspense and thriller writer S.H. Livernois.

Wow another great. When people in small rural places in the Smokies start disappearing, the Sisters are on the job as always. I couldn’t put it down. Magnificent.

Strength in numbers. Death alone.
In the forgotten towns that dot the Smoky Mountains, hundreds of people have vanished into thin air.
A powerful mob rules these mountains from behind a curtain, making sure no one ever finds the missing. But Detective Tristan Sidders won't listen, and now he wants Hyla and Lizeth Frontenac to take the case.

This is a wonderful addition to this thrilling series!
Wonderful well written plot and story line that had me engaged from the start.
Love the well fleshed out characters and found them believeable.
Great suspense and action with that adds so much to the story.
Such a thrilling read that I couldn't put it down.
I hope there might be more of these or a spin off!!
Recommend reading.

A small town has unaccounted number of people go missing, and people are afraid to talk about it. Do they know what is happening and are scared, or are they in the dark and even more scared. Now the Frontenac sisters are called in to help, and it seems like something or someone is driving a wedge between them. This is probable my favorite of the 3 books in the series because nothing is as it seems. Murderous cult, aliens, mob connections, or something even more sinister...and the two sisters can't even get along as they used to. Jeez...
I received an ARC of this ebook, AND I LOVED IT!!..Come on folks, dive into this entire series...you won't be sorry.!!

This is a good book! If you like supernatural suspense, you'll like this book. Each book in this series is a stand alone, but it's good to read them in order to better understand how the two sisters are evolving. The first book was from Hyla's perspective and the second was from Liseth's. This book was from Hyla's. I enjoyed this book even more than the first two because I understood more about each sister's character and how they interact. I thought the writing was top notch, and I got caught up in the storyline. I'm anxious to read the next book in this series. To me, that's a sign of a well written series.

Book review

This is the third book that I have read in this series. Honestly I was just going to read the first book since it was free and I wasn't into reading anything else at the time. Well the first book was full of all the things that I look for in a book. Their was mystery, intrigue and the unexpected around every corner and with a touch of the supernatural added it is quickly becoming one of my favorites. Thank you S.H. Livernois.

A fantastic read in the series. This is fast paced and action packed, with epic scenes. There's twists and turns that I didn't see coming. The Characters and how the Author brings them out make them seem so real. I definitely recommend

Murder, mutilation and disappearances face the Frontenac sisters in Case #3 of this supernatural mystery series as they investigate strange occurrences around the supposed ghost town of Centralia. Death Knell is just another riveting and surprisingly sensual offering by my favorite Master of Mystery herself S.H. Livernois. If you are a lover of mystery, the supernatural and really well written fiction...buy this book. And while I’m at it...if you haven’t read Case 1 or Case 2 in this series...really,really treat yourself and get them too (if you dare !)
