Tuesday Knowls is done. Once burned, twice shy. Twice burned? Game over. On the outside Tuesday has it all. She comes from money, she’s a beautiful runway model, her smile comes easy, and she’s quick to laugh. But looks can be deceiving. Inside, she’s lost and lonely. So when the smokin’ hot firefighter swoops in with his sweet talk and promises, she decides to be the one who uses, for once.
Jackson Clark is a man who knows what he wants. And he wants Tuesday. He sees past the beautiful façade she shows the world straight to the pain she hides. When Tuesday offers him a friends with benefits arrangement—minus the friendship—he has no choice but to accept her offer. He’s willing to do anything to get close to the elusive woman and show her he’s worth the risk.
When Tuesday starts getting presents from a secret admirer, she goes into a tailspin. She’s been down this ugly road before and she knows how it can destroy her life.
Can she really trust that Jackson is the good guy in this mess? And, if he is, will she realize in time that not only will he protect her heart, but he might just save her life?
Riley Edwards is a Wall Street Journal and USA Today Bestselling author, wife, and military mom. Riley was born and raised in Los Angeles but now resides on the east coast with her fantastic husband and children.
Riley writes heart-stopping romance with sexy alpha heroes and even stronger heroines. Riley's favorite genres to write are romantic suspense and military romance.
I anxiously await each Next Generation series book because I know I am going to get an honorable, sexy, alpha hero and a smart, intelligent heroine who makes me laugh, sigh and cry. I fall right into each story and I hate when they end.
CLAIMING TUESDAY (The Next Generation #4) by Riley Edwards is the new romantic suspense in the series. Like all of the other Next Generation books, I feel they are more focused on the romance in each with the suspense as a subplot rather than equal to the romance.
Jackson Clark knows what he wants and will not stop until he gets it. He knew at the age of five he wanted to be a fireman and he worked to make it happen. At a family barbeque, he spotted Mercy’s friend, Tuesday and knew she was the woman for him. He knows this is going to be a challenge, not just because Tuesday is older than him, but also because Tuesday does not let men get close.
Tuesday Knowls has grown-up in the modeling world. She knows many people see only her beauty on the outside, but she has emotional baggage that she does not want to share. After a life-changing and emotionally devastating relationship that destroyed all of her trust in men, Tuesday does not let people in. She finds it exasperating that Jackson refuses to believe she does not want him for anything other than sex.
When flowers and threatening letters begin to appear at Tuesday’s door, she breaks down as the past is starting to repeat itself. Jackson and his family consider Tuesday one of their own and work to find and eliminate the threat. Can Tuesday open up, share her past and rely on Jackson to protect her body as well as her heart?
Ms. Edward’s characters always seem so real to me. I felt sad and mad for Tuesday’s past experiences every time one was revealed. Thank goodness she had her grandparents. Jackson was the perfect match for her with his persistence and ability to see beyond her outer protective shell. Ms. Riley’s dialogue is realistic, entertaining and had me laughing out loud at times. In all of the books in this series, the sex scenes are smokin’ hot and explicit. Each book contains a complete romance, but they also have some crossover between them due to the closeness of the extended family.
Ohhhh, I enjoyed these two so much!! Tuesday is FEISTY! She fights her feelings for Jackson so hard, but he's an expert in getting around her walls. He does screw up a bit in his timing a time or two, but there's no SOB (Seemingly obligatory breakup) & that was nice.
Tuesday's Gran is adorable (& also feisty) & I enjoyed the banter with her & Jackson.
Tuesday & Jackson are sweet even when they're spicy, funny when they don't necessarily mean to be, & full of that awesome thing called love! Jackson proves he's trustworthy and protective, and Tuesday allows herself to lean on him & let him help her heal.
Very interesting suspense portion, although I did feel like the wrap-up to that was a bit rushed & missing some closure.
All in all, another great, quick read & I'm still loving this series. It's totally binge worthy, and I'm going to continue with Delaney's story next!
Tuesday was misunderstood. This was my view of her. She was wealthy, famous, and beautiful. She was more than the trappings around her. She wanted more. She believes no one will see past all she appears to be. That was until Jacksoon Clark comes on the scene. Giving him a chance was not a top priority for her. Watching Jackson and Tuesday become more than just friends with benefits.
I enjoy turning each page. I enjoyed the characters, the setting, the community, and the writing was on point. Claiming Tuesday is worthy of having its own day to sit back, relax, and consume the story on the pages.
I really liked Tuesday in the last book, so I was happy that she was able to find her HEA with another one of this clan.
I was stunned with Tuesday past and all that she went through, stunned even more when we found out who was behind things and how she was treated by her mother. If it wasn't for Grandma Patty Tuesday's life would have been very bleak. So I get why she was beyond leery to start anything Jackson, the age difference was just one more thing to point out and show how they wouldn't work. Jackson had the patience of a saint, or a man who knew a good thing when he met her. The way that he pursued Tuesday was perfect, he kept showing her with words and actions how important she was and that he would always have her back.
I really hated the drama at the end, hated that Tuesday was in danger, hated that Jackson realized it and went a bit stunned stupid, unable to act. But it all worked out and now they are able to live their lives happy.
Tuesday and Jackson, talk about funny, delightful and highly amusing. I have to say I love Jackson’s ability to not hear anything Tuesday says, I love how Tuesday tried to fight their attraction and I seriously love Jackson in protective mode.
I had put off reading this one cos that was something that just didn't seem to gel for me.
Turns out I was sort of right. I didn't mind Tuesday. I really really didn't like Jackson ( I had some pre-conceptions about him from Quinn's book - really disliked his judge-y-ness in that one! ). I didn't like the way that he entered her house on numerous occasions without permission... I didn't like the way that he seemed to corner her... I didn't like the way the he didn't actually listen to her, just heard whatever he wanted to. He came across as a dick... not an alpha.
And what happened to the lawsuit? What happened with her parents? Her agent? Her ex? I needed to know. And then... then... there was that silly silly cop-out of a finale. What was the point of that? Just seemed almost like absolutely no thought had been given to that part of the plot.
In summary, yep - I've read it. Am glad in some ways... particularly cos I am a completist and hate leaving a series unfinished! But, it didn't really add anything to my overall feel for the series as a whole!
This was my second time reading this book. I did audio and absolutely loved it. The narrators did a such a good job. I loved the storyline; it wasn't predictable to me, which most stalker books are. I love this series and can't wait to keep listening.
I am completely captivated with the characters in The Next Generation series, especially Jackson in Claiming Tuesday. You can tell that Riley Edwards truly puts her heart and soul into the characters she creates and the stories she writes. Between this series and her Special Forces: Operation Alpha stories, she has quickly worked her way to one of the top authors I enjoy reading as her writing style meets all my criteria for a great read. Her books are suspenseful, witty, loaded with drama, action, and romance; her characters are smart, charming, relatable, and fun; and finally, the storylines are intense, action-filled, fast-paced and loaded with danger and smokin’ hot chemistry between the characters.
Tuesday Knowls is living the life of the elite on the outside, yet internally struggling each day to just get by. She comes from a privileged background and money. She has been a runway model from a young age and is living the life a lot of girls dream of. She definitely has the looks, the quick smile, and the charismatic personality but all of that is a façade to the true Tuesday that hides underneath. She has walls built on top of walls from a past relationship that ended badly, leaving her emotionally scarred and unable to trust. She has no intention of opening herself up again to that kind of betrayal and devastation again. So when a sexy firefighter comes barging in and taking control, chipping at those walls what’s a girl to do? She decides to turn the tables, lay down some ground rules, and definitely be the one in charge. Of course she is able to keep it light and her emotions locked up tight, right? So when her life once again goes spiraling out of control, why is the one man she was determined to keep shut out the first to bust in?
“Ready or not, Tuesday, I’m playing for keeps. Buckle up, baby, it’s about to get bumpy.”
Ever since Jackson Clark met Tuesday Knowls, he has been captivated by her. He longs to get to know the woman underneath the outward persona she portrays. He knows there is more to the beauty than meets the eye and he is determined to break down her walls. He does not care about the age difference or anything else she throws his way as an excuse. He sees something he wants and he is going to do whatever it takes to make Tuesday look past his age to see a man she can trust and rely on with her safety and her heart.
Tuesday and Jackson are wonderful characters and the road to their HEA is difficult, intense and emotional. Their story is told from dual POV’s, letting us get a better feel for the characters and includes many laughs, suspense, drama, action, and sizzling chemistry that will hold you captivated from the first page to the last. Claiming Tuesday is a fabulous addition to The Next Generation series and I look forward to more.
*I received an advanced copy from the author and I am voluntarily providing my honest review. All thoughts and opinions are solely my own. Thank you for the amazing read!
Once again Riley Edwards captured me from the very first page and held me in her grasp until the very last page! I cannot get enough of the Next Generation!
Jackson Clark is a man who knows what he wants; determined, focused, caring, all things a firefighter should be and more. When he sets his sights on Tuesday Knowls that's it for him, she is the woman who sets his blood on fire, his heart racing, and whom he can see a future with. Now if Tuesday would just get on board with the plan everything would be easy sailing. Although the pushback she gives is also what attracts her to him as well, so he really wouldn't change a thing about her.
Being loved for your superficial beauty can leave a lot of emotional baggage. When you top that with abuse of trust from people in your inner circle, you begin to live in a very small circle of people and allowing people in becomes very difficult. Tuesday hasn't allowed anyone in her circle in a very long time, so when Jackson breaks through and doesn't allow her to give excuses for kicking him back out, she doesn't know how to handle the sexy fireman.
When Tuesday's life begins to spiral out of control, she soon learns that the Clark family and his entire extended family is more than she ever could have imagined. Never having experienced a caring environment of her own, Tuesday doesn't know how to handle the love and support they all all show each other. Jackson is about to make sure she never forgets the feeling of having people at your back and more importantly the love he can give her everyday for the rest of her life.
Jackson Clark is such a beautiful human being, I love that he looks past the outer package and a lot of the crankiness Tuesday throws at him, until she finally realizes he's someone she can trust. I can empathize with Tuesday on so many levels she broke my heart, I understand the pain she faced with allowing people in. Too often in my life I heard the comment, "Wow, you're really nice. I didn't expect that." Um, thanks for the backhanded compliment. This is not my story, but all I'll say is I felt for Tuesday and completely adored Jackson.
Each book in this series outdoes the previous one! Tuesday and Jackson are explosive, steamy, and full of witty banter. We have met both of these characters in previous books but to finally have one of their own was everything I could’ve hoped and wished for! Riley is a fantastic writer and she has the uncanny ability to pull you into the pages and make you feel and connect with the characters as their story unfolds right before your eyes.
Tuesday’s past will absolutely break your heart. From her relationship with her toxic mother and the ex-boyfriend that absolutely destroyed her reputation; it was completely understandable and within reason for Tuesday to have her guard up and not let anyone get too close again. Her trust in others was completely decimated by the hands of two people that one would hope would never cause the severe damage that they did.
But in comes swoony, no holds bar Jackson determined to make his way into Tuesday’s life and her heart. From the moment he laid eyes on her at a family barbecue he knew that he had to have her and he never gave up on his fight to win her over. I could not get enough of the back and forth snarky banter between these two. There were so many lighthearted moments that definitely made up for the more heartbreaking ones. Jackson’s determination to show her that she is worth more than her past, leaves your heart floating to the stars. He shows her the strength and courage that she holds within and helps her to let it out for the world to see.
Troy Duran and Devon Grace continue to narrate the Next Generation series. I love that these two narrators are casted for this entire series because I can’t get enough of listening to their voices. They have outdone themselves in this book and it is by far my favorite of this series! The talent Troy and Devon have to portray these characters and their emotions is off the charts. The emotional range and talent they have is utterly show stopping! These two had me laughing, crying, blushing and swooning throughout the entire audiobook!
I love how Riley gives us a preview of the next book in the series at the end. It leaves the anticipation high and the excitement to dive in the next story in the series. I’m so excited for Delaney’s book and I can’t wait to dive in!
When a man is on a mission he is going to let nothing stop him until he gets the end results that he wants.....
Riley Edwards has once again blown me away. I am so in love with The Next Generation boys and just when I think I can’t love another one more Riley brings us a new book. Claiming Tuesday is everything and then some. The story is all consuming and I devoured it and I truly mean devoured it within hours of starting. I was at the point that I didn’t want the story to end but I needed to keep reading because I was so engrossed in the story.
Jackson is a man that I wish could be mine. He is compassionate. He is all Alpha male with a soft side thrown in. He is hot and sexy. He is possessive. At the end of the day he is a true sweetheart and my heart swooned numerous times throughout Claiming Tuesday.
Now onto my poor Tuesday. The girl had my heart aching for her from the beginning. She has a kind soul but very few know the true her. Her past is something she truly wants to forget but it still haunts her to this day. The strength this girl had amazed me and I was cheering for her throughout even when she was being mean and unreasonable to sweet Jackson.
Tuesday is the game changer for Jackson. When Jackson first sees Tuesday at a family gathering he knows his world has just changed. Jackson’s pursuit of Tuesday is challenging none the less. She is pushing him away and he is pushing her to open up and let him in. The back and forth banter is comical at times and heartbreaking at others. Throw in a twist and some suspense and Claiming Tuesday will leave you wanting more.
Claiming Tuesday nearly broke me. Again I was so addicted to it that I didn’t want it to end. Then don’t get me started on the ending. Riley, you have me very intrigued about poor Delaney. I need the next book STAT!!!
Tuesday Knowls is a beautiful, successful model whose life looks perfect on the outside, but looks can be deceiving. She didn't have a great childhood, as her mother was an evil b*t*h, and as an adult, she was burned badly by her last boyfriend, so she refuses to ever get close to a man again. Jackson Clark is a yummy fireman, who has wanted to make Tuesday his the moment he laid eyes on her, and he's determined to make it happen, but she's not having any of him. He pushes her until she offers him a friends with benefits, minus the friends part, and he has no choice but to accept in order to break down her walls, and he knows he will be successful. However, Tuesday starts getting anonymous presents, she goes into a downward spiral, as it isn't her first rodeo, and Jackson doesn't know how to get her to trust him when all he wants to do is keep her safe. WOW! This story had me all up in arms because Tuesday had me a hot emotional mess. See, I didn't know the demons that she carried for a while since the diabolical genius, Riley Edwards, only let bit by bit out slowly, so I was very frustrated with Tuesday a ton for the irrational push & pull. However, when all was revealed, I did understand more, but the frustration was already out in full force, especially since Jackson was damn near perfect in his pursuit. Not to mention these two sizzled in their sexy times. Obviously, there's twists, but then there were insane twists on top of those mere twists, so my f-bombs went off like gangbusters! Luckily for my hot mess emotions, there was a little old lady who entertained the hell out of me in Tuesday's grandmother, so yeah, this story had it all & what are you waiting for?! One click now! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
A Rollercoaster of Romance and Mystery: Claiming Tuesday Will Keep You Guessing
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Heat Level: 🔥🔥🔥
Riley Edwards brings another thrilling installment to "The Next Generation" series with "Claiming Tuesday." As the fourth book in the series, it continues the trend of captivating storytelling and complex characters.
While this book was great and awesome like all her other ones, there was a subtle difference that kept me slightly off from fully immersing myself in the story. Compared to its predecessors, the emotional intensity felt a tad subdued, lacking the heart-wrenching depth that I've come to expect from Edwards' writing. However, it compensates with an abundance of angst, mystery, and, of course, romance.
Told from dual POVs, readers get a deep dive into the minds of Tuesday and Jackson, unraveling their complexities and motivations. Tuesday, a runway model with a troubled past, finds herself drawn to Jackson, a firefighter with a determination to break through her defenses. Their dynamic evolves into a friends-with-benefits arrangement, but when Tuesday becomes the target of a secret admirer, their relationship takes a dangerous turn.
The chemistry between Tuesday and Jackson sizzles on the pages, but it's the underlying suspense and mystery that truly drive the narrative forward. As Tuesday navigates the uncertainty of her admirer's identity, doubts and fears threaten to derail her budding romance with Jackson.
"Claiming Tuesday" is a rollercoaster ride of emotions, keeping readers guessing until the very end. Riley Edwards delivers yet another captivating romance filled with passion, intrigue, and a dash of danger.
This book picked up right where the last left off. Jackson knew the instant he met Tuesday that she was it for him, but she took some convincing. There were a lot of moving pieces in this book. It had romance, suspense, and a very determined alpha firefighter.
Jackson has several meet cutes with Tuesday in Finding Mercy, and fell for her instantly. He has lived his life going after what he wants with singular focus and his want for Tuesday is no different. But Tuesday has trust issues and walls upon walls protecting her heart. The more Jackson learns about Tuesday, the more he understands, but he never gives up. Tuesday pushes Jackson away and tries her hardest to deter him, but finally realizes he is different. Jackson never fails to show up for Tuesday and that finally pushes Tuesday to give him a chance. I loved that Jackson went to his dad for advice about how to win Tuesday over. He learned from the stories his family has told him and never questioned his certainty that Tuesday is the one for him.
I loved Jackson and Tuesday. Their story was the perfect reprieve after the emotional story of Mercy and Jason and before the much anticipated story of Carter and Delaney. Jackson was one of the most determined hero’s I’ve read, he loved Tuesday through every trial and used more than words to express his feelings. This book moved at a much quicker pace, time wise, than the other books in the series, but it wasn’t any less romantic. The suspense woven through the plot kept the book moving.
This review is for the audiobook. Chasing Tuesday is book four in The Next Generation Series and it’s my favorite one yet! All the books are standalones, but characters from the other books make appearances and it’s fun to get updates about them as well as characters from other Riley Edwards’ series. You do not need to read the other books for this one to make sense though. Tuesday is my favorite heroine so far. She was one of my favorite side characters in Finding Mercy and to discover all the layers that make her up as a character was really enjoyable. Getting to know her, the reasons she is the way she is, but more importantly, how she has grown into a strong and good person was what made her journey throughout this book a highlight for me. Jackson is both tenacious, swoon worthy, and fallible. Ms. Edwards always writes a hero who you can love, wish he were real, and at the same time believe that he could exist because he’s not perfect. His family and the role they play in this series is another reason why I adore these stories. The banter, the support, and the connection they have with each other always makes me feel all warm and fuzzy. Troy Duran is again fantastic as the MMC and while Devon Grace is always wonderful as the FMC, I think she has her best performance yet with Tuesday. She really sounded like she connected with the character and enjoyed playing her. I would recommend this story to anyone who enjoys an age gap romance with some suspense, romance, and spice. I received an Advanced Listeners Copy in exchange for my honest review.
I’m just gonna admit it…. Jackson Clark and his sexy fireman ways may or may not have (totally did) pushes me over the edge of buying a hot fireman calendar for next year. 🥵🥵🥵 Each one of these Next Generation Books I read in this series just further drills in the saying “I love a man in a uniform”.
I really loved Tuesday and Mercy’s friendship in Finding Mercy, so I was excited to see that Tuesday was also going to get her HEA as well. Tuesday has the life we all think we want. She comes from a very well off family growing up privileged. She started modeling at a very young age creating a lucrative career for herself, she is beautiful, happy, and the life of the party. You know, the stuff little girl dreams are made of. But looks are deceiving and Tuesday is a pro at projecting her perfect life, when in reality her life growing up and even as an adult was far from picture perfect and she carry’s the emotional scars to prove it.
Jackson Clarke is determined, persistent, and when he finds something he wants he plays for keeps. Jackson set his sights on Tuesday and he will do whatever it takes to win her over. He can tell she was hurt in the past so he works diligently to break down her walls and build her up.
I really loved Tuesday and Jackson’s relationship journey. It isn’t an easy one and the emotional trauma that Jackson helps Tuesday through is ROUGH. The journey makes their happiness just that much sweeter. I won’t spoil anything but man, the stuff Tuesday has survived is A LOT and she is well within her right mind to hold people at arms length.
Narration by Devon Grace and Troy Duran: Devon and Troy just continue to knock it out of the park with their narration and performances of these characters. The emotional range they both cover playing these characters is fantastic. I can’t wait for more of it.
I just finished reading an ARC of Claiming Tuesday and I absolutely loved this book! Now you do not need to read the rest of The Next Generation series but I do recommend that you read Finding Mercy because Mercy is Tuesday's best friend and that is where we are first introduced to her. Tuesday Knowls is a 31 year old model. She has her plate full between a career she no longer enjoys, a grandmother that she loves and the last thing that she is looking for is a younger guy no matter how nice or hot he is. Jackson Clark is a firefighter on a mission and that mission is to get to know the real Tuesday. He met her through his cousin and even though she keeps telling him that his 24 years are too young for her, he isn't going to give up without a try. Jackson thinks that there's more to Tuesday telling him NO than just a few years age difference and he's determined to find out the truth no matter how much Tuesday tries to deflect his questions. Added to all of this, Tuesday as an unwanted admirer leaving her notes and flowers. She turns to Jackson for help and that's the opening that he's been looking for. Tuesday and Jackson are great characters and you won't want to put down this book until the last page! It's told from dual POV and it's got some laughs, tears, angst and plenty of steam! I cannot recommend this book or series enough!
The world of modeling is not all the glitz and glamour it appears - especially when you look in the mirror and fail to recognize yourself - your true self. This is the truth Tuesday has recently come to realize and she’s ready to take a step back from modeling & begin to live the life she’s only dreamed of. What never occurred in her wildest dreams was Jackson - a sexy, scorching hot firefighter who won’t take no for an answer. He sees glimpses of the real woman Tuesday is underneath the protective shield of sass, snark and camera ready smiles. Jackson is determined to make Tuesday his. Call it fate, call it love at first sight - Tuesday’s the only woman for him. He’s relentless in his pursuit of her. Passion ignites between them, but Tuesday has been burned before. Will she stubbornly fight their attraction that runs bone deep or accept Jackson’s love enough to let him see all of her - even the messy, imperfect parts of her life? When things from Tuesday’s past begin to haunt her again, Jackson is committed to keeping her safe. With his dad & cousins at his side, he’ll move heaven and earth to see her safe. Their love burns brightly, but will it burn brighter than the fire that threatens to engulf them?
Riley Edward's Claiming Tuesday is filled with so much love and caring it will tear out your heart and touch your soul. The poignancy of her words and clarity of her message makes every story better than the last. Claiming Tuesday is no different. Her stories are about trust, family, loyalty, love, and happily ever afters and acknowledging that it takes time and hard work to achieve. Jackson is a man with a mission to love Tuesday until the end of his days and beyond. Jackson is a man any woman would love to have in her life but Tuesday doesn't trust him not to hurt her. As Jackson and Tuesday work towards their happily ever after you will tear up, get angry, and believe in true love all over again. Character development is beyond phenomenal. These are people you want to know and care about.
I read this in one sitting and absolutely could not put it down. The feelings were so real it was as if I was experiencing the highs and lows with the characters with them. If you want a story full of heart and soul read a book by Riley Edwards. The Next Generation series should be savored and enjoyed book by book but each book can be read as a stand alone. Job well done.
Claiming Tuesday is the fourth book in Riley Edwards’ The Next Generation series, and I swear, this series just gets better and better. This one really got to me for some reason. I just love when a character exceeds my expectations—which are admittedly already pretty high for this series—and Jackson Clark definitely did that for me. He was such a deep well of emotion and had such a quiet strength and determination. He saw the pain and vulnerability hiding beneath Tuesday’s façade, and he made sure he always gave her what she needed but not more than she could accept. Even if it wasn’t always as much as he needed or wanted, he allowed her the space and the grace to come around to his love in her own time. This is truly a beautiful love story, and Troy Duran and Devon Grace did an equally beautiful job of bringing it to life in the audiobook. I’m continually amazed at the well of emotion Troy Duran seems to be able to draw from and viscerally broadcast to the listener. And I am definitely not mad at that deep, sexy voice of his. Devon Grace gives an impassioned and emotional performance that always rings true for the character. A phenomenal love story coupled with truly incredible narration makes this an audiobook that will not only touch you but stay with you.
This was a re-read for me but I read it the first time before I started tracking and writing reviews. I love this family. The original 4 are the foundation for it all but I am absolutely loving the Next Generation. Claiming Tuesday gives us the story of Jackson and Tuesday. Jackson is exactly what you would expect any son of Nolan Clark to grow up to be. Couple that with a smoking hot body and a fireman’s turn-out gear and you’ve got a recipe for swoony, alpha hero without a doubt. Tuesday came into their lives as Mercy’s best friend. She’s living the dream as a model but under the surface, her life isn’t as sunshine and roses as it seems. As these two try to navigate their blossoming relationship, we all get the privilege of watching Jackson knock down Tuesday’s walls and teach her that some men can be trusted. She has to learn how to be vulnerable and put her faith in a man when every single man before Jackson has failed her in all the worst ways. This 4th installment in The Next Generation Series by Riley Edwards has all of the intrigue and suspense you expect from her novels, coupled with one of my all time favorite literary families, with all the passion and alpha hero you could possibly want. You won’t want to miss this one.
Claiming Tuesday, The Next Generation Book 4, was a first for me and I was blown away. Riley Edwards told a story about the love between Jackson a fire fighter and Tuesday a successful model who has shut herself off from men as the hurt and humilation she endured in the past has made her cold and angry. Jackson once he saw Tuesday again, knew she was the one for him and now he is faced with knocking all the of the barriers Tuesday has erected, can he help Tuesday see that she is meant for him and that she deserves love and happiness in her life? Now Tuesday is faced with the threats from a family member and an unknown person. Jackson and his family and friends will do every thing they can to protect Tuesday from the danger that surrounds her. This story had it all; strong family bonds, friendship, danger, drama, determination, sadness and lots of passion. This is one story that is a must read and I now find myself needing to read the other books in this series. Hopefully Delaney's book is next. Riley Edwards has outdone herself!!! I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.,
When you find "The One", this is a journey worthy of a marathon holding on for the long haul - this is perfect book for letting love in!
Jackson is an independent & fun loving & loyal. He is driven and works hard for what he wants. He decided at five to be a fireman and the this exactly what he is. He goes to his cousins engagement party and his cousins Best Friend Tuesday ( my first thought who names a kid after a day of the week?). Lol Jackson we're Tuesday and he is interested. Tuesday is a famous Model and has to under go the good, had and ugly of the business. The twist & turns in this story will handle you moving from angry, heartbroken to that's the moments worth everything. This is a book to show you thought your family was bad & dysfunctional this will shed light that perhaps it wasn't as bad as Tuesday (if it is, then there is hope cut negativity out of your life). This has a great gift of letting the built walls down & risk letting someone in. It was beautiful. Lots of raw topics. Violence 2 ,sex2.5 no cliffhangers great story. Blog: https://www.my2centsbookreviews.com Instagram: My2Cents_Booklover Thank you!
This is the story of Jackson Clark and Tuesday Knowles. Jackson is a firefighter, hot, sweet, and full of protective instincts. He meets Tuesday at a family gathering and knows she is something special. Tuesday was a model from a young age, comes from a wealthy background, and puts up a facade to keep everyone out. She is scarred from relationship baggage and determined not to trust another man, especially not a younger guy. But Jackson doesn't take no for an answer so Tuesday decides she can do something casual with no emotions. Can she? When her past comes back to haunt her and she begins receiving threatening letters and flowers, Jackson is right there when she needs him. My favorite quote from him was, "Ready or not, Tuesday, I play for keeps..." ***Swoons*** How can any woman resist that?
Riley Edwards keeps outdoing herself in this series. Every audiobook is incredible but they get better with each couple. She always incorporates humor, romance, passion, love, family, and of course, suspense; however, Claiming Tuesday is her best so far. I highly recommend this audiobook. Not only is the story amazing but the narrators elevate it wonderfully. 5+ stars!!
Claiming Tuesday … Audiobook We met Tuesday in finding Mercy and what a firecracker she was.., But in this audiobook we see that she hides behind her wise crack remarks and no bullshit attitude … she is hiding a bombshell and it has broken her! It’s heart wrenching when she reveals what’s happening to her!
Jackson on the other hand is what you see is what you get…holds his heart on his sleeve and goes all out to prove to Tuesday is his!
When everything comes to light and the secrets are unraveled and Tuesday mother shows up… it’s all guns blazing for Jackson and his family. The way Jackson protects and wraps Tuesday in his care is heartwarming and so beautiful.
Throw in grandma patty and you have an incredible story. A story of past loves dealing with adversity and betrayal, finding new loves and finding a partner and a family who truly become everything.
My favourite part was Patty and Jackson’s showdown with Tuesday’s mum and the way Mercy and Jason rallied around Tuesday!
The narration is superb and each word is delivered with so much emotion and has a depth that’s hard to describe!
When Firefighter Jackson Clark sets his mind on something, he makes it happen. Well, he is determined to date Tuesday, even though she keeps giving him excuses why she won’t date him. Tuesday has major trust issues with good reasons. Jackson has his work cut out for him, if he wants to be more than a “booty call” for Tuesday. They do share some pretty hot scenes, and as a Firefighter, Jackson can handle the heat! Jackson and Tuesday could not have been raised by more different parents. Jackson is blessed with both a mom and dad that are loving and supportive, as well as a protective extended family. Tuesday mother is a selfish, scheming witch with a “Capital B”, while her dad is a wuss. Fortunately, she had her loving grandparents as role models for her while growing up. When Tuesday is threatened, nothing or no one will get in Jackson’s way to protect the woman he loves. He won’t rest until he knows Tuesday is out of harm’s way. As with the past books in this entertaining Series, it ends by giving the readers a snippet of the next couple to take center stage.
