I don't know why it is entitled "Tight". I don't know what they are tightening maybe a screw or something... But whatever situation they are in, love will always prevail.

A little MM romance in the courtesy of the best friend of the heroine. A little erotic on the side and a nice family drama. I just don't get the term step Uncle???

An average 3 stars read. You can add this one when reading a heavy epic read or an action packed suspense love story or just a so so read. As they say in Tagalog "pangpawala ng umay". 😊😊😉

This is a great safe read yet again from Jenika Snow.

Kennedy is a book worm who most people look past, she always does what’s expected of her but all that changed two years ago when Roman appeared in her life. He’s considered a bad boy but she sees so much more but with her dad marrying his aunt she feels they would never be accepted. Plus he’d never go for someone like her would he?

Roman took one look at Kennedy two years ago and fell in love but they are family and that means a lot to him but his feelings are becoming harder and harder to ignore. Deciding he needs to tell her how he feels he hopes she’ll feel the same way and they can convince their family that the love they have for one another is strong and true?

Enjoyable read.

Okay if you dont like taboo you can stop reading and dont open.. but Kennedy's dad married Romans aunt.. soo really?? Its only marriage by family.. no blood related.. so they are step cousins.. If that bugs you you can mark it as avoid.. this is a decent size book very fast pace had some steamyish moments.. but i did feel meh that the ending was super fast.. :/

Kennedy and Roman have wanted eachother since they first laid eyes on one another.. but once Kennedy's dad married his aunt those feeling had to be locked down.. since it can screw up the family and it might look bad.. so for 2 years they been at arms length still being friendly but both secertly lusting after eachother.. until enough was enough.. no one disrespects his woman and he taught that guy a lesson.. from that night they tossed out the rules didnt care what anyone said.  And if there family didn't agree they were happy to disown them..

A los personajes al principio los vi con un poco de miedo en su comienzo de relación ya que estaban a expensas de que diría la familia sobre este romance, aunque no hubiera un vínculo que los uniera solo un matrimonio. Luego después hicieron frente sin ningún reparo, pero esperaba que el padre de Kennedy se lo hubiera tomado más serio, como creía Roman. Eso sí, me falló mucho la forma que empezó el libro, ya que ambos se conocían desde hace dos años y tenían sentimientos desde hace tiempo. Me esperaba que hubiera empezado con ese momento cuando se conocieron o haber puesto algunos capítulos del pasado para dar forma a los sentimientos. Además de que 2 años ocultando los sentimientos fue un trabajo duro para ambos.

"Tight" by Jenika Snow is a new adult romance, very sweet. It's not a taboo romance, or I don't see it that way, even though they are cousins, there are no blood ties only connected by marriage. It is a story that is read very fast, short, adorable, an insta-love.

Roman, 20, is the main mechanic at Randy's although he combines his work with classes. For two years his aunt has been married to Kennedy's father, 20. Both fight for that instant attraction but a problem in Kennedy's car that Roman will repair and a party will make it impossible for both of them to hide it for long.

Both characters are perfect for each other, Kennedy the studious and nerdy girl with her glasses, and Roman the bad guy, sexy that everyone talks about.
At first, I saw the characters with a bit of fear at the beginning of their relationship because they were worried about what the family would say about this romance, even if there was no bond between them, only a marriage. Then they faced it without any hesitation, but I hoped Kennedy's father had taken it more seriously, as Roman thought. However, the way the book began I missed a lot, as they had known each other for two years and had feelings for a long time. I was hoping that it would have started with that moment when they met or put some chapters of the past to shape the feelings. Plus 2 years of hiding feelings were hard work for both of them.

Slightly tabooish but I loved this story. Roman and Kennedy are step cousins so Roman thinks he is wrong for wanting her. As for Kennedy, she wants him and she's going to get him. This is another classic Jenika Snow story. It's sweet but still hot........and it short but you still get a whole story packed into it. Love the story and love the characters!!

Plot: Kennedy's dad married Roman's aunt, so now they're connected by family. But that's not a good thing; Kennedy's in love with Roman, and it seems like he won't give her the time of day. Roman is in love with her too, though, but he doesn't want to tear apart the family with an inappropriate relationship. What's a guy to do?

Commentary: Bookworm shy-girl vs. older bad boy - classic pairing. For some reason, I always love scenes at the dinner table, and this book had that. Something about the expectation - wholesome family dinner where everyone is happy to be there and is sharing in family time - vs. the reality - tense with undercurrents of sexual secrets. It's the ultimate in suburban noir. Anyways, this had a forbidden tag on it, but it wasn't exactly forbidden. They weren't even really related by marriage. The most taboo part is that they spent a lot of time together (relatively) because they were nominally in the same family group. But still, sweet and hot, and they got a quick HEA.

Roman has wanted Kennedy from the moment he saw her. Just one problem she is his step-cousin. He fights his attraction and tries to move on but he can't get her out of his head. Kennedy has been half in love with Roman from the moment they were introduced. Her father doesn't approve of Roman because he works part time and goes to school part time. That doesn't matter to Kennedy and when she has an issue with her car she goes to the shop Roman works at. Roman knows that he can't wait any longer its getting to be too painful to be around her and not have her so he invites her to his place for a party. Its not long before they both admit their feelings and give in to what they've been fighting. What will their family think about them being together?


This is a great story that will captivate you from beginning to end. The chemistry between them is off the charts hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story, I would recommend this book to any book lover.

Forbidden?!

Lots of sex. Strong insta-love. Devoted bad boy. All those things made me want to read this book, and those parts were enjoyable. The problem is the whole “forbidden” Part is stupid. I don’t think there is anything forbidden about their relationship. Definitely some nerves when you tell family, but that’s about it. The big climax is telling family and it’s such a short part at the end that it just fell flat for me. Anyway, if you want a quick sexy read, this could work for you.

Shallow and repetitive

I'm a sucker for a good forbidden love story...but this wasn't that. I felt like I was reading the same thing over and over again. And there was no build-up, really. It was spending half the book with them going around in circles about wanting to be together and then they were together. The only redeeming quality this book had was that the love scenes were hot.

Quick read

This is the book to read if you are looking for an angst free story that is also quick. The MCs have been in love with each other for a couple of years and the only thing standing in their way is the expression of such love to each other and to their families. So not much of a conflict either.

First things first: I love the cover to this book. Talk about drool worthy! This story is short, mixed paced and a sweet read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. I found the first half of this story slightly slow but after that, the pace picked up. Kennedy and Roman are step cousins. Roman’s aunt is married to Kennedy’s father. Because of this, their relationship and feelings for one another were taboo.
The chemistry between Kennedy and Roman was clear to see and I liked the build up to them getting together. They made a cute couple and their passion for one another was undeniable.
One last thing: I loved Kennedy’s friendship with Isaac, I loved that they kept each other’s secrets and never judged one another. I liked the little hint of what happened with Isaac and his secret.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and a nice read.

Tight pens a freaking pented up love story between step cousins, Roman and Kennedy.

It is fast paced, sexy, possessing and intoxicating nonetheless. We spend few chapters building up the sexual tension and feelings for each other. When the dam breaks loose, all the arousal flows endlessly into a mayhem of emotions. Reading Jennika Snow's book never tires you or say gives you a repetitive touch. You do find yourself twisting and turning all the while with heaviness and happiness in a whirlwind.

If you're Ms. Snow's fan, this book should not be missed out. Take care of dear hearts, people ♥️ Thank you @jenikasnow for another masterpiece

Well, it didn’t feel that taboo for me because at least they were step-cousins. But the story kinda lacked in substance. It was exciting reading how they would eventually fess up their feelings for one another but when the moment came, it was anticlimactic (the professing of love, not the sex that came right after that-lol). Plus, Kennedy was a V, I thought Rome would at least make their first time special. But they went at it like they’ve been doing it for months already.

I don’t know. Also the pacing went fast right after that. There was a lot of good angles and characters to expound on from the story. At the end, it felt incomplete for me. The epilogue was great though, but that was like one year after from their barely one month relationship we just read about.

When I first heard of this story, I knew Kennedy and Roman were going to have a scorching, kick a**, incredible story to tell.

These two fought there feelings for 2 years and both couldn't be more perfect for each other. Kennedy is a shy, bookish girl and Roman is the bad boy with a reputation (find out how true that is) and the fact that they are step-cousins adds some spice to the mix.

Jenika knows how to keep you on the edge if these two will get the ba**s to tell each other how the feel and if they do, what will the rest of the family have to say?

Oh, and he’s got a major jones for his step cousin Kennedy.

Kennedy’s dad married Roman’s aunt two years ago when they were eighteen. Now, at twenty, Kennedy is the glasses wearing, good girl, book nerd with a jones for bad boy Roman (who has a totally sweet side).

So, are they gonna do this thing?
I’m thinking it’s a heck yes.

I thoroughly enjoyed this forbidden romance. Roman and Kennedy were so perfect for each other. The pull between these two was so intense; I honestly couldn't believe they held out as long as they did. I fell so hard foe both these characters. Kennedy was so sweet and adorably nerdy. Roman was working that bad boy vibe, but he was so much more than that. Steamy, sweet, dramatic and emotional, this book delivers all the feels as you root for this couple every step of the way. But eventually the time comes for us to grow up and make decisions for ourselves while at the same time taking responsibility for those choices. This book shows in a big way the decisions we make and how they affect those around us.

TIGHT is a steamy romance about mechanic and college student who fell in love with his aunt's step daughter. They have kept their feelings for each other a secret. But Roman had enough, especially when he thought that Kennedy was dating someone. Loved this book! A mix of sweetness, excitement, and explosive chemistry, it was almost too hot to handle. This was a winning read!

I don't often read so-called taboo romances but this one was pretty good. Roman may have once been a player but he's a pretty good guy now. And Kennedy is a sweet girl with a heart of gold! I liked her a lot. Smart, cute. For so long they each loved the other from afar. Will they finally decide that their love is worth risking everything for? Or is the chance of losing the love and respect of their family enough to keep them apart?
