Let Me Be The One
Synopsis Kane Anderson was in a good place in his life. He had his woman Erica, his newborn daughter Lexi and enough money to last three lifetimes. Unfortuately, with a case of mistaken identity, Kane was falsely arrested while he was on vacation and placed in prison out in California. Unfortunately, the woman that vowed to be by his side while he did the bid disappeared from his life after the first year. She handed his newborn daughter to his brother and his girl because she didn't want to deal with the responsibilities of raising a child alone. Kane is finally released and returns home to find his ex has permanently removed herself from their child's life but tries to find a way back in to get close to him again by demanding her back. A situation will arise that has Kane showing everyone the SAVAGE he really is after he tried to keep that side of him hidden. Stacy finally found his ride or die chick in his woman Essence. She cooked, cleaned, took care of their son, his niece and knew how to throw down in the bedroom. However; someone from his past has been lurking around for the past year. When she is revealed his relationship will be tested and the lies from back then will resurface as well. The reason the person comes back into his life won't be what everyone expects. In the end people will lose their life but who will it be? Take a ride with these brothers and see who will be the last one standing.

Dammit Tina J you have done it again. I'm dying to see what happened to April and how Kane is going to react. I hope that Lexi is okay. Boy I can't wait for part 2 excellent read

Great Read
You can tell Sherri was a ole thirsty and hating bytch. I know she saw Kane was interested in April. Sherri is scandalous to because Kane baby momma Erica supposed to be her friend. Sherri was all up in her feelings when she realized April and Kane was together. I slick ass mouth had April beating her ass and then Essence end up dragging her ass. Erica was a ain't shyt, piss poor excuse of a woman, mother, and human being. She thought she was going to use their daughter Lexi to get Kane back and get to his money. Kane didn't want a damn thing to do with Erica. He knew she had not taken care of their daughter in six years and that his family and Lexi Godmother April was who took care of her. I had a feeling something bad was going to happen when Erica took Lexi to her house. Erica was a cokehead and allowed Glen sickening and disgusting ass to violate this child in numerous ways. I admire the live April have for Kane daughter. I was glad she was the one who found Lexi and got her help because that little girl was traumatized after what Erica allowed Glen to do but to be victimized again in the mall when April whooped Erica ass was too much. Kane was on a warpath about his daughter. Erica knew she f***ed up. I didn't feel an ounce of remorse for what Kane did to her. Stacy love the hell out of Essence. However someone from his past showed up trying to destroy their relationship. The way this ended was a big ass mess.

This was fast paced but not in a clever way. You can’t connect with the characters and the story was dumb as ever. I tried with this one, but it was horrible, this author should pay me for the time I wasted reading this one. I won’t be following along with the next one and I’m probably done with this author.

I absolutely loved this book! I cannot wait for part 2!! Tina J. you know how to write some drama girl! I am dying to know what happened with April and Lexi. Great Read.

I’m not sure how to feel and my emotions are all over the place with what took place with Lexi. What a horrible mother Erica was to have this man violate her daughter so she can get high. What happened to her was not good enough.
Now what April did was commendable for Lexi but she was wrong waiting all this time to let Kane know what occurred. That topic is very debatable but she dead wrong even though her heart was in a good place. I understand she wants Lexi trust, but that was too much.
Love Stacy (man) and Essence relationship. Essence armor was shook because she let a dumb brood told lies and ran with it.
I’m looking forward to see what author will do with Glenn POS.
Not sure why in all these books there is DVs. Is just a shame why we cannot read books without these circumstances ugh 😑.

Ummmm triggers…
A six year old, Kane’s daughter was repeated Raped, by her mom’s boyfriend. April her caregiver of 6 years found her bloody and dirty hiding somewhere. Just randomly found her while she was heading in a store 😵💫 Then she listened to a 6 year old tell her to keep it a secret from her father. The sex in the book is so important that April pushed a six year old being raped by a grown man to the back burner for sex with Kane and her dumb ass pregnancy. Kane as a father is trash too because he didn’t fight hard enough. He was worrying bout his skanks while not even checking on his daughter who’s mom came out of no where after 6 years to take her back. Not finishing this. It’s disgusting and needs to be removed from kindle.

Didn’t enjoy this book at all
I love Tina J and her books but this one was not my favorite. I scanned through most chapters. The book just happened so fast. Like it didn’t unfold with the characters and the problem and solution. It just boom happened. I didn’t enjoy this book and don’t plan on reading book 2.
Also the little girls story where she calls April Mommy reminds me of the book she wrote about the billionaire. Same plot where the child ask for a mommy then ends up disliking the mom bc the real mom comes.

Silly
Any body complaining about only getting to only read 33% trust me amazon did u a favor . This book is way too silly . So he gets out of jail and go sleep with his deadbeat baby mommas he was a loser after that to me . Then his daughter is missing for 2 months and not one amber alert was reported then the hospital just turned a blind eye to the 6 year-old being molested . Girl I stopped reading this bull wasted my dang money

What a tangle web we weave... April has to be the dumbest chick in this series. No way I would take a man back who blatantly disrespected me in front of a woman who wants to date him, regardless of what the reason was. Pregnant or not. He can keep it pushing. Essence, well let’s just say she seems to be an air head. Maybe my opinion of her will change in the next book. Anyway this is a good read, a page turner and most definitely hard to put down.

This is a no for me. LOL!! I said before it's either okay or complete miss with this author and the stories. If this was a first out author I would think they did a really good job and with a couple more under their belt they would be putting out really good reads. It seems like this author is stuck in or content with this beginner type work. I doubt I'll pick up the next one, without any type of depth or character development into the stories they fall flat. This is a no for me. LOL!!

Ok I was reading Frankie and Lexi story and this title was mentioned. I am glad so I could get more background on the Lexi situation and her family. Loving Kane and Stan. It is really sick people like Glenn that love molesting kids.

The beginning......
So far reading this book was quiet confusing trying to keep up with who’s who, once I remembered those from other series it kinda help with the character flow...... just as all of her books Tina J doesn’t disappoint. Details yu will get once you read, just kno it’s worth every exciting action packed moment.

Not one of the best I've read from Tina
This book was all over the place and the storyline wasn't believable. If I didn't have a habit of finishing a book that I start I probably would have stopped reading this. With that being said, I'm about to start reading part 2 and I'm praying it gets better.

Very surprising

I love me some Kane and April.. Kane is not to be messed with at all. Erika was dumb for allowing glen to touch that baby. Lucy crazy did trying to come between essence and Stacy you didn’t have no wins with that one can’t wait to read part 2

This was like one of those little stories that be on wattpad. I didn’t like it. These characters do and say stupid stuff for no reason and it didn’t flow. Disappointed too because I’d been hearing great things about this author. Maybe it gets better.
