The Academy is for the rich and royal, not the poor daughter of a charlatan. But Brisa wants more from her life than the next town and a new scam, so she decides to break barriers and send the dean an essay on why commoners should be able to attend. She is both shocked and overjoyed when he accepts. The only catch is she must maintain top grades in her class.
With the first round of tests looming, Brisa is neck-deep in studying and reports. Minor things like extracurricular activities and making friends are not on her radar. However, when she inadvertently stumbles into the middle of the Assassination game and offends Krabbs, the goblin prince, she’s drawn into being a spy for them.
Krabbs and his team of miscreants show Brisa that there is more to the Academy than books, but Brisa refuses to admit that she’s having fun. She also refuses to admit that green skin and big ears are starting to look good to her.
When her past threatens her future, Brisa must decide between Krabbs and the Academy.

What I genuinely love about this fairytale series, is that it is completely different to the cliche versions we know!
Brisa has been accepted to the Academy, which is a very big deal for her, since she is a commoner. The first commoner to be accepted into the school. But unfortunately this has also made her a target to some students who dislike it, but most of them completely ignore her.
Brisa is very intelligent, top of her class, but meeting a certain goblin prince changes her. She meets Krabbs, who has asked for her help in the Assassination game they play at the school, she must spy on the other members for him. For Brisa is was about paying him back for something she did to him, but the more they spend with each other, the more she feels alive him.
Brisa has always been a quiet and reserved girl, but will getting to know Krabbs help her become more confident in herself? Or will it end poorly for both of them?
Such an exciting and quite different read, it was fun watching Brisa be the spy for Krabbs' team and how much fun it seems to be. Krabbs is also pretty flirty and just fun to be with, so if you want adventure, and heaps of laughter and flirting comments, you'll this new novella!
Received a copy from the author herself, for an honest review, thank you!
While I’ve thoroughly enjoyed each installment in the Academy series this is by far my favorite.
I LOVE the games! So much fun!
I really like Brisa’s back story and how she “talked” her way into the Academy. Watching her develop and blossom was very enjoyable.
I wished to get to know more details from Krabbs, his story, his background, it just seemed a little lacking. Which was a bit of a shame because he is so much fun.
