E.E. Isherwood has been a storyteller for over 30 years. Initially the muse took the form of childish comic strips. As a teen it manifested itself under the guise of Dungeons and Dragons adventures. In college it culminated with a Master's thesis on Missouri geography—an extremely boring kind of story. Three decades and several careers later he realized that siren song never stopped, so he began to author books. A life-long enthusiast of apocalyptic fiction, writing about zombies was his passion. Future titles in science fiction and fantasy are in the hopper. He lives in the St. Louis, Missouri area, where his series of zombie books takes place.
Just how ready are the majority of us for the so-called 'end of days', should the unthinkable happen and world powers start WWIII? Broken Arrow, Book 2 in EE Isherwood and Craig Martelle's eye-opening continuation of the story started in Blue Apocalypse. MCs Buck, Mac and Connie have literally run for their lives from a murderous biker gang in Buck's 18-wheeler truck, communicating with others via CB radio, to form a convoy as they try to reach safety. Meanwhile Dr Faith Sinclair, head scientist at the SNAKE particle reactor in Colorado, is at the epicentre of the world-wide destruction caused by the nuclear-powered 'Blue Streak' that circled the globe and wiped out communications, power, satellites and millions of innocent citizens, who never knew what hit them. As time itself is distorted, Faith has her suspicions (and is suspected in turn) of a traitor in the midst of her co-workers. Can she find a basis for her theory before things take an even more deadly turn for the worse? Get your copy of Craig Martelle and EE Isherwood's fantastic Book 2 in the series and find out the answers to your own conspiracy theories and much more. It's sure to sell out fast!
Continuing the series of good characters and logical storylines that satisfy the reader's interests, still somewhat chaotic between location situation need better segways.
The "blue streak" connecting the new collider to the collider in Cern has caused strange changes
The fabric of space and time is coming apart causing pockets of reality to exist in different timelines. For Garth and his dad, it resulted in new partners travelling with them. Garth's new friend is his age, but hails from a wagon train in 1849. His dad's passenger is a hot beauty from 2003. On different sides of the country, they are both experiencing the time dilation but in slightly different ways. At the super-collider, a four-star general has arrived and taken charge. Something occurred at the collider that has broken reality and time. The general wants to shut the 62 mile machine down, but the scientists believe that could really change things even worse!
I love the way the storyline switches between characters, giving brief glimpses into the way their reality changes. As the story and drama builds in each little dose of life, the effect is shown for each of the main characters and those around them. The changes and effects blow around them with hurricane strength. On both sides of the country the weather is matching in intensity to the storms unleashed by the changes happening from the collider. I'm going to grab the next volume in this amazing series and start it now. This is a great read!
I did not get the title, but loved the story. mixing people and animals from the past always gives one much to think about. what would you do if it happened to you? how can you share experiences that could help solve the present problem? scientists don't know as much as they hope. yes, every good quest needs a good dog. keep in this realm and add more characters.
The second book of the Blue Apocalypse series is as dynamic as the first. I still have no idea how so much can happen in such few days, but I guess the end of the world tend to make everything compound together. Really enjoyed the addition of a time-space mess to explain the disappearances and apparitions. There are some new characters I really enjoyed, like General Obadiah Smith - great name, fake surname (imo) and lovely no nonsense personality.
Excellent and thrilling adventure! Eagerly awaiting the next book!!
As an avid and somewhat picky reader of post apocalyptic fiction, this series gets 5 stars and I highly recommend this series. The story line is unique and the characters well developed, I couldn't put it down! The only negative aspect is waiting for the next book.
I'm loving this series! Well developed storyline with wonderful characters . This story flows from one character to the next-gen a scientific experiment goes wrong the world starts to change will the world return for our characters or will it get more out ofcontrol. Looking forward to the next book
This KU library selection is a great addition to this post-apocalyptic adventure series and continues with a rotating four person pov. The blue energy light that circled the earth in book one continues to bring about catastrophes throughout the world and mankind quickly turns on itself. Book three promises more adventures for these characters.
Book two in this series is as good as the first. The characters become more defined perking your interest in the story and rooting for the characters drawing you towards the next book in this series. Well done to both E.E. Isherwood and Craig Martelle. I can't wait to start book three in a few minutes.
I thought book 1 was a screaming rollercoaster. Book 2 "Broken Arrow" is Indy at 200+ mph! Getting ready for Book # 3 now, but before I do, I'm going to get a drink , some Tums, and wait for my BP to slow way down. Can not wait to read the next installment!
Though this is a good 2nd book in the series, it was annoying listening to the SNAKE acronym read out everything the story switched to that location I the story. This book takes the reader from the different Main principle people and places throughout the world. Once again the Narrator does a Great job with the various characters voices and the entire storyline.
I'm looking very much forward to the rest of the story. I have a feeling, I will be sad to see it end. Great job guys! And I loved the end time Alaska book (books?) too!
Broken Arrow is the second fast-paced post apocalyptic survival book in the End Days series written by authors E. E. Isherwood and Craig Martelle. This is a unique story.
The story is starting to come together and i'm really enjoying it. Definitely worth a read if you enjoy a good apocalypse, but don't feel like something really dark.
This was a very good book 2 to this series that has a unique cause to the apocalypse. The stories of SNAKE/CERN, Buck/Connie and Garth are especially entertaining. I am very curious about the science that would explain this especially how quantum entanglement would be a factor with this result.
I'm really enjoying this series so far. It is the first PA story I've read in a long time that I didn't know what was going to happen. I am well into the third book and hopefully it won't bog down too much as so many series do with non-essential extenders. But so far, my compliments to the author.
I am loving this series. Non-stop action and keeping me interested is not always easy. I already liked these two authors, and now a collaboration with a VERY different story is great!
Lives up to all the promise of the first in the series! So looking forward to the next book. If you are looking for a different series that is still apocalyptic, this is the series for you!
I liked that the main character is a truck driver and I liked the crazy weather part too! We have had some crazy weather recently here in Texas too ! Since the virus everything seems crazy and I don't know what will happen next just like in this book !
The first in the series was hard to put down, but this episode was impossible. The story has some great twists and turns and some likeable characters. This series is not one to miss.
This series is interesting and action packed. The descriptions of the world are full of necessary detail. The characters are well written and fully cleaned out. I highly recommend you read this series.
Another intense book from start to finish. The characters are a little more fleshed out in this book, and it seems we are keying in on some characters and ignoring others. It will be interesting to see where this is going.
The story itself is not bad. Very verbose. Needs an editor. Characters or the narrator are prone to telling us what they are like (repeatedly) rather than showing.
I read all the books in the series, I am a fan of the genre, but my critique is the same for all.
