Rachel wrote her first novel when she was twelve and entered it into a contest for young author/illustrators. Unfortunately, the judges weren’t impressed with her stick figures. So she dropped the dream of becoming a world famous illustrator and stuck to spinning stories. When she’s not busy working on her latest book, she loves to travel with her family and friends. By far, her favorite destination is the beach, which tends to work its way into most of her stories. Between vacations, you can find her at home in The Woodlands, TX with her wonderful husband, their two adventurous kids and a couple of spirited pets, all of whom share Rachel’s love of the ocean. Well, except the cat and dog. They’re both afraid of water. Find out more about what Rachel has been up to at rachelmageebooks.com.

I am sure the beach wedding is fabulous. The perfect panoramic view is perfect for the wedding. Plus the whale is a adding plus. This story is reminds me of My Best Friend's Wedding but less complicated and less angst.

My opinion about this book is boring. Really so boring. The story is flat, monotone, 1 dimensional and way too much descriptive of everything. Even adding the drama hair dresser cancel in the last minute juts to show Paige is the heroine who saves the wedding. I almost falls asleep listening to the audio book. With the story so boring like this, the length of the book can be cut by half.

This is a delightful and fun story that is predictable but a great read anyway. It starts off in Hilltop, Texas where Paige is a wedding planner for a resort. She dated Brody for a about eleven months before he headed to Europe, saying he would be back. One year later and having not heard from him, he returns with a beautiful actress. Hurt and determined to remind him of what they had before, she and her best friend's brother, Aiden, pretend to be dating. The whole group of friends travel to the Northwest Florida panhandle and Seacrest Beach on 30A for a wedding the following weekend. Paige and two other friends are bridesmaids for their friend and Brody is one of the groomsman.
I enjoyed watching Paige and Aiden work together to try to make Brody jealous but sometimes things backfire. Aiden needs Paige's help with a business deal he is working on during the weekend so they spend a lot of time with each other. The beach setting is great. I live near 30A and it is a beautiful and popular area with what we call sugar white sands and fun restaurants and activities. The characters are likable, loyal to each other and fun loving. This is a great, quick fun romance.
I received a complimentary ARC from Hallmark Publishing through NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are mine only.

BEACH WEDDING WEEKEND by Rachel Magee is a sweet, heartwarming story. I love romances with weddings, second chances, and friends to love tropes. Throw in a wonderful setting (wedding on a beach), great friends and some animals (baby dolphins in this one) and you have me hooked.

Paige and Aiden are friends, who realize they care more for each other than they expected. Paige thinks she is in love with someone else, who moved to Europe for a job and returned with a girlfriend. Aiden does not want to commit to marriage or a long-term relationship. When the situation arose where they played fake boyfriend/girlfriend for a series of business lunches for him, and to make her ex-boyfriend jealous, they realized that they wanted to make it real, but neither wanted to be the one to say anything. Paige is a motivated business woman, smart, cute yet a bit shy when in an awkward situation. Aiden is a handsome, successful, commitment-phobe in business and life. She thinks planning is good and necessary, he thinks they stop people from living. I enjoyed their interactions as they tried to deal with their feelings for one another without spilling the beans.

This sweet friends-to-lovers, fake boyfriend romance had me smiling throughout. I love these Hallmark stories that may become a movie in the future, as they are exactly what I need for a hot, sunny afternoon. I quickly read through this story, anxious for these two to get their acts together and be honest with one another. A sweet story that I recommended for romance lovers looking for a heartwarming read. The publisher generously provided me with a copy of this book upon my request. The rating, ideas and opinions shared are my own.

BEACH WEDDING WEEKEND by Rachel Magee warmed my heart and reminded me of why I love romance. Wedding stories are my favorite, and put the wedding on a beach on the Florida panhandle, and I’m swooning! The setting was perfect, with the ocean (baby dolphins!) and the pre-wedding festivities on the beach. I’ve now added visiting Seacrest to my bucket list!

Of course, Paige and Aiden were adorable together, as they played fake boyfriend/girlfriend for a series of business lunches for him, and to make her ex-boyfriend jealous. Paige is a motivated woman, smart and cute as she stumbles through some awkward situations with her ex in the beginning of the story. Aiden is a handsome, successful, commitment-phobe in business and life. She thinks plans are good, but he thinks they stop people from living. I enjoyed their interactions, especially their confusion over what I already knew, that they were going to fall in love with the beautiful backdrop of the Florida beach.

This sweet friends-to-lovers, fake boyfriend romance had me smiling throughout as I swiped through my Kindle, anxious for these two to get their acts together and make it work. A lovely story, highly recommended for romance lovers looking for a calm, heartwarming read.

I am a total sucker for anything Hallmark and the moment I realized this book was published by Hallmark, my heart felt happy. This is such a light, fun, and sweet read. Perfect for reading at the beginning (almost) of summer! The characters and plot were well developed and helped to create a predictable (yet, enjoyable) page-turner.

I just fell in love with Paige. Paige is a wedding planner and is completely entwined with her job. She loves what she does and is extremely good at it. She never expected her ex, who moved out of the country months ago, to show up at one of her weddings. When Paige decides to try to win her ex back, she uses her best friend's brother, Aiden for help. Little does she know, there is more to Aiden than meets the eye. Will Paige find her Happily Ever After in her ex or in a place she never expected?

I can only hope that this will become one of my beloved Hallmark movies one day. If you love them as I do, this is definitely a book for you!

This book was such a light, fun and sweet book. No wonder it has the Hallmark brand backing it. It is definitely Hallmark worthy, with its fun loving characters. This friends to lover’s romance is sure to bring a smile to your face.
Paige is doing a job she loves, planning weddings. She believes in that perfect happily ever after ending. But in her line of work, something always goes wrong. No matter how much planning she does. This particular story starts when the one wedding she plans perfect, down to her always ever late best friend’s brother Aiden, whom always needs his tie straightened, has a monkey wrench thrown in her perfect plan, Brody.
Brody left Paige to go to Europe months ago, leaving her broken hearted. She always knew he be back for her. Now here he is….except, he has a woman on his arm. What the What?!? New mission: Get Brody back. Can she win the heart of her ex and get her own happily ever after?
Aiden, the handsome bachelor is always looking for the next big investment. His last investment, a restaurant, is doing extremely well. His business partner has found a big money buyer for the business and it is now time to move on. He needs to show these investors he is a settled down man, capable of big business deals. Not some party bachelor. But can he do it?
Two dilemmas, two friends. A plan and a goal. Can these two get what they want? Or will the fates have a new plan?
I love Hallmark movies!!!! And this book is definitely Hallmark movie material. It was such a fun read, full of laughter and light hearted fun. Paige and Aiden are such amazing characters. They are so sweet and have such great charisma and chemistry. Paige the ever giving person, who doesn’t realize how beautiful she is and Aiden the strong type, who has been on the sidelines for way too long.
Overall this book is true to Hallmark fun. It is a clean steady paced love story, with fun loving characters. It has banter, quirky fun and that happily ever after. It is the type of read that will warm your soul and give you butterflies. It is sweet and sentimental. With that hidden message, “you are more than you think”. A brilliant story with no evil beings a foot. A story that everyone will love. So grab your copy today and enjoy this sweet amazing vacation read. You will be glad you did.

This was such a sweet clean romance book. One that takes you on a journey of figuring out what you want even when you least expect it. Maybe you think you want one thing but in the end you want something so much better.

Paige and Aiden have been friends since Paige and Ciera were freshman in college. They both enjoyed each other’s company and Paige was an overall sweetheart. Even though their relationship is fake for the wedding, sparks start to fly and feelings start to flourish. Walls get broken down and love really blooms between the two.

Enjoyable clean romance. One for all romance lovers.

This takes place mostly on the Emerald Coast of Florida and the rest is in Houston, Texas. It is a friends-to-lovers romance. There are several weddings, food, a beach, and a plan that is destined to backfire. I could predict most of what happened, but there was a surprise at the end.

I have to say, I was genuinely impressed with this lovely, warm and of course Hallmark Romantic, novel. Hallmark usually has a penchant, both in their published novels and their movies, for the cheesy and the trope filled (not that I'm complaining - I love them just as much as the next gal), but Magee has managed to create a plot, and characters that are both refreshing and new but also just as comforting as other Hallmark stories. It's safe to say that I enjoyed this novel immensely. After all, who doesn't love a beach wedding?
Overall:
Sure, this story does play into quite a few 'tropes' - best friends' older brother, falling in love with a 'bachelor' type man, beach getaway romances, and of course, the big one - fake relationships. But in this case, they all work beautifully together actually. Magee creates a story for Paige and Aiden which is heartfelt and adorable, with their chemistry clear to see. And I loved it. From adorable scenes in a kayak, to their co-dependence and the comfort they feel with one another to the romance of a beach wedding. I adored it.
Characters:
Beach Wedding Weekend is told in alternating POV's, which although there isn't the typical "name at the beginning of each change of POV", you figure out pretty quickly. The POV's alternate between Paige and Aiden, and in my opinion, worked well for their story.
As far as heroines go, Paige was good fun to read alongside. There wasn't really anything in particular that irked me about her or that annoyed me - she was just fun, intelligent, and great at her job - all round a great heroine.
And Aiden? A perfect match for Paige. He was funny, charming and has a great penchant for starting businesses...and helping out Paige (and vice versa). I think what I loved most about their relationship was just that they felt so comfortable around one another, which was just a pleasure to read.
Storyline:
Overall, the plotting and the storyline didn't really deviate from what was expected (again, not complaining about that!) If I did have one complaint, it would just be that at times, I felt like it was a bit jumpy as each scene cut off onto the next.

Overall however, I truly enjoyed this novel. It made me feel summery and warm inside with a lovely tale of what love looks like (and how sometimes you don't recognise it at first.)

Note: I was generously provided an ARC of this novel from the publisher and author via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.

When Paige discovers her ex-boyfriend is back in town to stay she realizes she wants the man she still loves back. So, in order to make her ex jealous she comes up with a plan to use her best friend's brother, Aiden, as her fake boyfriend. However, the more time she spends with Aiden, the more she finds herself falling for the guy that doesn't do commitment. Will Paige and Aiden get the happy ever after they both deserve or will Paige end up with a broken heart?

What a fun and entertaining read Ms. Magee has delivered in this book where the main characters are captivating because of their back stories and their growing relationship; the dialogue was compelling and had me smiling at various moments throughout, especially when Aiden and Paige come up with terms of endearment for each other; and the plot was fast-paced and drew me in right from the beginning, as Paige and Aiden are such interesting characters and have such a good friendship. Certainly, Aiden knows how to cheer Paige up when life isn't going to plan in her career as a wedding planner.

With the main characters, I absolutely loved this pair together. The hero is confident; charming; a good businessman and I enjoyed that he fought for what he wanted professionally. I also liked that he did his best to keep his feelings out of the agreement he had with Paige but found it impossible not to fall in love with her. While the heroine, she's a good friend, kind, caring, hard-working and I loved that she was so willing to help Aiden with his need to woo investors in order to achieve the deal he wants. I also liked the decisions the heroine made throughout this story, especially when it came to her ex. Did the guy ever really love her or did he love being in a relationship?

Overall, Ms. Magee has penned a really good read in this book where the chemistry between Paige and Aiden is strong and convincing; the romance was sweet; and the ending had me cheering for this couple's happy ever after, as Aiden needs Paige in his life. However, it was the epilogue that wrapped this story up nicely because dreams should be chased and love is forever. I would recommend Beach Wedding Weekend by Rachel Magee, if you enjoy the fake relationship trope or books by authors Nancy Naigle, Debbie Macomber, Bella Andre and Barbara Freethy.

Plenty of Weddings
Rachel Magee's romance novel "Beach Wedding Weekend" was published by Hallmark Publishing. The novel starts in Hilltop in Hill country in Texas. Paige Westmoreland, a hopeless romantic, is a wedding planner who hopes that the current wedding is "the perfect wedding". Aidan Pierce, one of the guests, makes it just in time, but she did not plan that Brody Paxton, her ex-boyfriend, shows up as well and brings Sasha Kane, an actress, with him. Cold vegetarian meals, bridesmaids dresses in burnt orange color, cake which is tasting like cardboard, ... there are plenty of other things that are going wrong, but most of all Paige is hurt because of Brody's betrayal.
At the next wedding of Paige's friend Georgia with Lane the three-step-goal "Get-Brody-Back" in order that Paige can win Brody back. Aidan, the brother of Ciera, another of Paige's friends, is willing to play Paige's boyfriend since one of the steps is to make Brody jealous. But Paige is also playing Aidan's girlfriend to help him with investors who are at the wedding and who want to buy his restaurant "Cedar Break." It ought to be safe because Aidan "does not do serious relationships." But things do not turn out as planned.
This is the first book by Rachel Magee. I highly recommend it since it I easy to read. It is a clean and wholesome romance story with enjoyable and believable characters. I really liked the advice that Aidan's gram is giving to Paige: "All you have to do is let the beauty within you shine and the rest will fall into place." The book also includes a special Hallmark recipe: BBQ Brisket Tacos with Sunshine Slaw.
The complimentary copy of this book was provided by the publisher through NetGalley free of charge. I was under no obligation to offer a positive review. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Eleven months ago the love of her life walked away from their relationship for a job overseas, and there hasn't been a day that has went by that she hasn't thought of him. Paige thought they were headed towards something more permanent, like a forever kind of thing, but when he left he took their future with him and left her alone and brokenhearted. Now she has learned that Brody has come back home, and before she can get excited about a possible reunion she learns that he didn't come alone. He replaced her with a gorgeous actress, and there is no possible way she can compete with that... or can she?

Then her friend Aiden offers up a solution to her problem, he'll play her fake boyfriend for a weekend while their attending a mutual friends wedding, and use their "relationship" to make Brody jealous and help him to realize what he is missing out on. Paige reluctantly agrees to this little plan, but after a few faux steamy moments her heart starts to lead her down another path...

Beach Wedding Weekend will charm you with it's perfectly crafted words and endearing cast of characters, it's captivating and so good for the heart! I loved this first time read, it's pages held humorous moments that made me giggle, tender moments that touched my heart, and steamy moments that made me swoon. This light-hearted friends to lovers tale satisfied on all fronts, the words were addictive, and the characters told a believable story that left me aching for more! Highly recommend you get your hands on this one, it's certain to leave your heart singing it's praises!

I requested an advanced copy of this title from the publisher, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest opinion.

I’m at the beach as I write this. It’s only fitting that my first beach read would be about a beach wedding and romance.

Rachel Magee’s Beach Wedding Weekend scores with me. It’s a sweet, enjoyable romance between Paige and Aiden. Paige thought she was in love with Brody who broke off their romance when he left for his work in Europe. When he returns and Paige loses her ability to speak in his presence, Aiden volunteers to help make Brody jealous so Paige can win Brody back in exchange for Paige’s help in sealing a business deal. What neither anticipates is that they might fall in love or recognize that they might already be there in the meantime.

I can testify first hand that this is a wonderful beach read. Here I am at the beach and devoured this book. I love the fun romance between Paige and Aiden who realize, albeit slowly, that maybe they’ve been experiencing love for a long time. I also love that Paige realizes that she’s have one of the best days of her life when she and Aiden are in a boat on the Gulf surrounded by dolphins and that nothing she had experienced with Brody could even come close.

As a nature lover, I appreciated Magee’s awareness of the surrounding environs and her description.

This is a Hallmark romance and I noted that B&N has it listed as a Christian romance, which I typically avoid. This has no religious overtones, but it is a clean romance. It is sweet and just an excellent read without overly dramatic angst.

If you’re headed on vacation and want something sweet and romantic, I can happily recommend Beach Wedding Weekend.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Paige has always thought that her Happily Ever Afteer would be with Brody, they had a very nice and happy relationship, but when he goes to work in another country and stops communicating with her, she's wondering what happened. They meet again in a wedding that she is organizing and when she sees Brody with another girl in his arms she decides that she will win him back.

She has known Aiden for a long time because she is best friend of his sister and has always had a very strong friendship and identification with him. Aiden only takes his business seriously and thinks casual relationships are the best thing for him. Now he needs a company for a business meeting and he and Paige decide that a fake dating is the best solution for them, she makes Brody jealous and he gives a more solid commitment image to investors. Win-Win ...

But as they spend more time together, they realize how strong the connection between them is and begin to question what they really want.

This is a typical Hallmark romance that warms the heart and leaves people with a smile on their faces, but Aiden abuses a bit of his luck with Paige near the end and it annoyed me a bit, mainly because he opened the eyes very fast in a certain situation involving his grandmother and Paige in my opinion had shown how insecure she was before that. Anyway, it's a situation that I can not talk too much because I would release a spoiler.

Anyway, I loved to follow the details that gradually made them realize the importance that each one had in the life of the other. It was a good story to read.

What’s the popular advice to be happy in today’s world? Aren’t we supposed to take care of ourselves? One of the best ways for me to relax and have “me time” is to read a Hallmark book. And Beach Wedding Weekend is a perfect way to give yourself the joy of relaxing. Whether you read it on the beach, your front porch, or with your doggie on your bed, you will adore the main character, sweet Paige.

The author does a wonderful job of placing us in Paige’s world. Whether she is in the Texas Hill Country at a gorgeous resort, or at Florida’s Emerald Coast for a weekend wedding, you will feel like you have been there! And if you are like me, you will want to plan your next vacation on the white sandy beach, by the blue-green water.Oh, what a lovely movie this would make!

Page is a wedding planner, and I don’t believe there is one as pretty, kind, and organized as she is. She longs to get back with her old boyfriend, Brody. So, she and her gal pals come up with a plan to get him back during the wedding weekend. They plan a cute diversion, but they forgot to plan for Aiden. Many of us are looking for a guy like Aiden! Especially the way he is described in the book. No wonder he has an effect on Page!

Readers, you will enjoy all the characters in the book. Sasha is an especially interesting character. Be good to yourself and read Beach Wedding Weekend.

Thank you Hallmark Publishing via NetGalley for the ARC copy of this book. This is my honest opinion.

BEACH WEDDING WEEKEND is a lighthearted friends to lovers / fake boyfriend-girlfriend romance with a touch of more serious undertones. I was easily caught up in Paige’s and Aiden’s dilemma and enjoyed watching them figure out what was reality and what was pure fantasy. They both had their own motives for pretending to be a couple for this weekend but sometimes what we wish would happen is the last thing we really need to happen.

My heart broke a bit as Paige came to realize that Brody’s promise of one day was nothing more than a way to leave without hurting her even more. There were no true “bad guys” in this story, only people who had different plans for their life and maybe could have been more clear in their actions. It was a fun adventure watching Paige and Aiden figuring out what those sparks between them really meant.

A cast of characters to enjoy, a solid romance and a very happy eventual ending – what more could a romance lover ask for? If you’re in the mood for a fun summer romance then BEACH WEDDING WEEKEND should be on your radar.

Beach Wedding Weekend is a brand new stand-alone novel by Rachel Magee. The main characters are Paige and Aiden. The book falls under two genres/tropes. The first one is the fake relationship turned real and the second is best friends brother. Since Paige is only pretending to be dating her best friends brother there is no drama in that department, which was a good thing. We have that with Brody.

What bothered me the most about this book is the lack of communication. I didn't feel like Paige and Aiden had a serious conversation in the second half of the book and they were acting mostly on what they were guessing the other would do/say. Another thing that popped in my mind while writing this review is that at some point the romance became an afterthought, to a point where Paige and Sasha had a more well-developed relationship than Paige and Aiden did.

If the secondary characters of this book, get their own stories I would be very happy. I liked most of them (looks at Brody) and I wouldn't mind seeing them get their own happy endings. Overall though, I enjoyed the book. It felt more like women's fiction than romance, but despite my initial feelings of the book (for some reason I didn't want to pick it up and read it) I liked it and it was easy for the pages to flow. I would recommend the book.

Anyone else feel ready for a trip to the beach? I say that because the beach reads are coming early, and I love it!

Paige is a wedding planner who gets the surprise of her life when her ex, Brody, returns with a new girl. Wanting to win him back at the same wedding they will be attending, she enlists her friend, Aiden, to be her "boyfriend" for the weekend. What follows...is not according to plan.

Magee's storytelling is stellar from the very first page: the characters, plot development, the setting, and emotional development keep you hooked throughout. I also found the character, Sasha, delightful and loved how Magee showcased her character. Paige's friends (Hadley, Ciera, and Georgia), Ciera and Aiden's Gram, were other stand-out characters. Even the investors were interesting; just glad they didn't get too much focus on them, but just enough to keep the subplot of Aiden flowing smoothly. I will definitely reread this one when I can! If you love beach weddings, romantic comedy, some crazy plans to win back a lover and more, check out Beach Wedding Weekend.

Lastly, the cover is gorgeous. One of my favorite Hallmark Publishing book covers so far!

Beach Wedding Weekend was a first read for me from Rachel Magee. It was fun and quirky and a really good read!
Do you know what happens? For the most part, yes, but you don't mind. The story speeds right along and you get a front row seat to the "I do's".
The characters are well written. Aiden, ahhh so perfect. He's the besties brother, the one who will do anything for you. He owns his own restuarant and he's all about being in "the plan".
Paige... well she got the wrong end of the stick. Her boyfriend Brody heads off to Europe by himself and doesn't stay in touch..What's Paige supposed to think? Yep, they're broken up. Brody returns, and it's a total shocker to Paige. While her good friends knew he was back, and dating a hollywood starlet, no one bothered to tell Paige, so when she sees him at a wedding she's in complete shock.
Paige is sure that Brody is her "meant to be", her one shot at "happily ever after" and operation "Get Brody Back" goes into effect. What fun.
A great read, wonderfully well written, a contemporary romance to make you heart go pitter patter.
With great characterization, a well done story line, and the ability to keep me reading, Beach Wedding Weekend was a wonderful story to read, beach or not.

All the Feels...

It was refreshing to read a true romance story about the affairs of the heart. Paige is a wedding planner and knows all about HEA's. She had thought she had found hers with Brody. Brody shocked her by moving to Europe with the promise that he would be back for her. He made good with his promise, but he came back one year later with a stunning actress on his arm. All hopes of her dream of living forever with Brody went up in smoke.

With a mission to win him back, Paige and her best friends concoct a plan to convince Brody what he would be missing if he stayed with his gorgeous girlfriend and not be with her. Paige enlists the help of Aiden her friend since forever. Aiden pretends to be her boyfriend in the hopes of making Brody jealous and change his mind about Paige. As they all come together, we learn that everything is not what it seems. Nothing goes according to plan.

The characters in this book were amusing and entertaining adding humor to this story. This was an enchanting romance love story. I highly recommend.

A first read for me by This author and I just say it was truly a jem! Paige finds that love is not always what is seems. Sometimes we find love when we are not liking for it! She is saddened when Brody leaves her to go to Europe hoping one day he will return. Unexpectedly he shows up at a wedding and throws all of her feelings in a whirlwind of emotions. So her and her friends come up with a way to get him back! They enlist her best friends brother Aiden to help her make Brody jealous. Aiden and Paige have been friends so long it's easy to show true affection. But Paige finds there is so much more to love them she thought possible! I absolutely loved reading this feel good book! It made me smile and so happy! I couldn't put it down! Fantasies to read more from this author! A perfectly done Hallmark book! Thank you Net Galley and Hallmark Publishing for my ARC copy in exchange for my honest review! Loved it!

I was looking for something light and entertaining to read and this book was the perfect choice. This story is heart-warming and has a classic “Can best friends ever fall in love?” type of storyline. I loved the character of Paige in this book. She’s sweet, funny, caring, and totally certain that all she needs to be perfectly happy is to win Brody back again. Aiden, (who himself is a handsome, charming, and totally nice guy), come up with a plan to make Brody jealous by pretending that he and Paige are a couple. Paige thinks she knows what she needs to be happy, but as their plan progresses, things don’t seem to be as clear to her as before.

The setting of this story made me wish I could be reading this book at the beach. But no matter where you read it, you’ll enjoy this sweet and clean story. I’ll be watching for other books by this author.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher. All opinions are my own.

I am SO GLAD I FOUND THIS BOOK!
I found it for $1 at a local bookstore while on vacation, and I am so glad I bought and read it. It caught my eye because it’s from Hallmark publishing, and I know that their stuff is clean (smut/spice free), so I can read it without having to worry!
I started reading it the same day I bought it, and instantly got hooked! I was very surprised by this story; it was actually witty and the fake dating trope was written WELL! :)

⚠️ ⚠️ ⚠️ SPOILERS AHEAD ⚠️ ⚠️ ⚠️

I REALLY like Aiden. He is the perfect guy, not annoying or weird, and is so sweet to Paige!!! He has a heart of gold and some really cute lines!! Every time he was talking to Paige it made me smile. The whole book you’re just left waiting for any parts that Aiden’s staring in!

I was really surprised by how the author wrote in so many cutesy couple scenes. Usually books like these are so boring and lame, but Magee put in a bunch of scenes that gave me butterflies and made me smile! Like when Aiden and Paige were thinking about how to pass their fake relationship off as legit and they both joked around by calling each other funny nicknames (his nickname for Paige was cute: Smoochems)! Seriously such a fun, cute read!

Aiden’s familiarity with Paige was cool (they’ve been friends for ages), and it helped make their spur-of-the-moment fake dating really easy and believable; it wasn’t super awkward like dating a stranger.

I liked the part where Aiden realized that his being around Paige already made Brody jealous:
Brody's gaze jumped from Paige to Aiden, and his expression went from shocked to possessive. Aiden probably should have let him walk away, but then again, he was the reason Paige had such an awful day. Well, one of the reasons, at least. He didn't get to pop around the corner and make everything better with one comment. So Aiden matched Brody's gaze with his own look of authority.
After about a second Brody looked away, casting one last weak smile at Paige before he disappeared around the corner.
"He's jealous," Aiden said.
"Jealous?" Paige's gaze lingered on the spot where he'd been long after he'd gone.
"You got carried off by another guy. His territory has been threatened."
Paige turned to him. "First of all, I'm not his territory. Secondly, it was you that helped me over here. Our relationship isn't like that."
"I know that, and you know that, but Brody doesn't know that."

Oh my goodness, I loved the part where Paige twisted her foot/ankle all up and then Aiden was a sweetheart to her and helped her out during her entire recovery! He held her, helped her walk, and assisted her in playing volleyball! He was just so nice.
The author wrote in Aiden’s thoughts well; it was fun watching him slowly fall in love with Paige fully.

I like how Paige was never really mean to Sasha, that Sasha was actually an extremely nice girl the whole time (I dislike cat fights), and that Brody just got left in the dirt at the end of the book; we don’t care about him, haha! The author did a good job at making Brody annoying & rude enough so that there’s no heart tug making us want to root for Brody and Paige to be together! :) Well done.

So many parts of this book were fun and satisfying to read; I liked when Aiden was finally ready to give up selling his restaurant and instead make a deal to expand into a chain, and to go after Paige. This part was written nicely; and when Paige was asking his to help her out with something, his answer was, “You rang, my dear?”🥺

Cutesy parts:
“When he looked at her [Paige], he saw forever, and for the first time in his life that didn't terrify him. In fact, it did the opposite. It breathes the life into places that had felt cold and empty for a long time.”

🤩
"Lucky boy. Whatever do you plan to do with all your free time?" -Paige
"Eat this, get seconds and flirt with you." - Aiden
Like COMON, his lines were so cute and bold. We love it.

"So, forever, huh? I thought you didn't believe in that word." -Paige
"I didn't, until I imagined forever without you." His expression turned more serious.
"Walking away from you was the hardest thing I have ever done. Trust me, it will never happen again." -Aiden
🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩

“You made me reconsider my stance on commitment.” -Aiden 🥺❤️

I also like how Aiden and Paige blurted out that they loved one another at the same time! 😁

Usually the extra characters in these romance novels are annoying, but it wasn’t that way in this story. The extra characters added a good, suspenseful buffer... they made it to where you really were on pins and needles for the next scene between Aiden and Paige. X)

This book is a Hallmark book, not yet a movie, though. I look forward to the time where they make it into a movie and if Hallmark wants some leads on other books to make into movies, I would love to give them some great leads. Paige Westmoreland is a wedding planner who is pulling off the perfect wedding, despite the fact that most wedding planners who came before her said that it could not be done. Everything is great, until Paige notices her ex, Brody at the wedding saddled with a date. This wouldn't have been such a blow, but Brady had broken up with her with the excuse of moving away to Europe. Paige’s friend Aiden was there to pick up the pieces and make everything better, despite showing up 2 minutes prior to the start of the wedding. Paige has his back and saved him an inconspicuous seat. This wedding ends up being very trying, but again, Aiden steps in to save the day.
Aiden owns a restaurant named Cedar Break, despite not being a trained chef. This restaurant was the third project in Jacob and Aiden’s partnerships. Jacob comes up with a bid for the successful restaurant, but this has become more than Aiden’s pet project, but his passion. We are then taken on the adventures of Cedar Break and Aiden and Paige’s friendship and all the adventures are brought to them. Paige and her adventures planning weddings and the fate of the restaurant.
This book was slightly predictable, but in the end, it was the light and fluffy book that we all need!
The author never gives up, she wrote her first novel at the age of 12 and despite it not getting the dynamic reaction she wanted from her illustrations, she went on to writing between vacations. I am hoping this is not the last that we hear from Rachel Magee at Hallmark Publishing. I hope to also be on that review team as well.
