This lovely Hallmark Christmas romance was a cozy mix of Christmas romance X REGARDING HENRY, the movie where a powerful lawyer loses much of his memory after a shooting and has to start over, becoming a much kinder version of himself in the process. In AN UNFORGETTABLE CHRISTMAS, Angie works as an accountant in Sam Singleton’s jewelry store. Sam has had trouble with relationships his entire life and is estranged from his friends and family. When he slips and falls on some ice just before Christmas, he retains some memories from early childhood, but none of the ones from the recent years of his adult life. With no close friends or family able to care for him, he is sent home with Angie. Sam’s personality changes entirely after the accident, becoming warmer, kinder. I loved seeing him connect with Angie’s family and son, and the way he reconnected with his own family and estranged friends. Of course, the looming question is… will he regain his lost memories? This was a lovely Christmas romance with some interesting complications! 🎄❤🎄❤
An Unforgettable Christmas is an absolutely perfect and wonderful Christmas love story that I’ll never forget. The story of this book is about Angie, a single mom whose husband had passed away from the accident years ago and Sam, a successful businessman who was the owner of a jewelry store. Angie worked at Sam’s jewelry store as an accountant and always helped him by giving advices on many things. Few days before Christmas, Sam had an accident and lost his memory temporarily. Accordingly, the doctor said that he needed someone to take care of him while his memory wasn’t completely recovered. And because his dad was quite old and the relationship between them wasn’t that good, Angie decided to take care of him instead. In these days while they were trying to recover his old memories, they were also creating new memories too. But finally Sam will recover his old memories or not? If Sam actually recovered them, will it affect the new ones that they created together? You need to find out! ♡
Thank you so much to NetGalley and Hallmark Publishing for giving this e-ARC to me in exchange for an honest review. I truly enjoyed it.
When her workaholic boss, Sam Singleton temporarily loses his memory in an accident, Angie Lopez invites him into her home to help him recover. They are obviously falling for each other, but will the attraction still be there after Sam gets his memory back? I thoroughly enjoyed this cozy, feel-good holiday romance. It has everything one can expect from a Hallmark Christmas themed story. Likable, realistic characters, heartwarming family relationships, a sweet romance, and a Christmas setting guaranteed to get readers into the holiday spirit. I look forward to reading more books by this author. Thank you to NetGalley and Hallmark Publishing for this ARC. The opinions expressed are my own.
I made it halfway. Sadly, the relationship and storyline were too contrived that it made for tedious reading. Too saccharine for my tastes. It didn’t feel real.
A wonderfully heartwarming and romantic story that is perfect for the holidays! Sam is Angies's boss, when he falls on the ice outside of work, Sam loses his memory and Angie volunteers her home to let Sam heal. Sam falls in love with both Angie and her Family. Will Sam still feel the same way when he is back home with his memories in tact? I thank Netgalley for the opportunity to read and review this book.
This is a story about the Magic of Christmas at work. Angie Lopez lost both her husband and father In an accident years ago. Angie, Pepe(her son)! her mother and grandmother all live in an apartment together. Angie works at Singleton’s Jewelry store. Her boss is Sam Singleton. He is a good looking but aloof boss. Then he slips on the ice, hits his head, develops temporary memory lost. The doctor tell Angie that Sam needs someone to care for him. Sam’s Dad is to old an unable to care for Tim. Having no one else, Angie takes Sam under her wing by taking him to her family’s apartment. No old memories only means new memories will be made BUT what happens to the new when the old return?? There was definitely chemistry between Angie and Sam. Both were well fleshed, realistic and relatable main characters. The supporting characters were well written. Talented writing in a very well plotted adventure. Tremendous job in making the reader a part of Angie & Sam’s story. I volunteered to read Unforgettable Christmas. Thanks to the author for the opportunity. My opinion is voluntary and my own. A Highly Recommended heartwarming read sharing the Magic of the Christmas season!!!
I love a good amnesia Christmas story. This was enjoyable and I liked the characters. It’s a four star for the kind of book it is. I do love that there was diversity but I can’t speak for the representation.
Big thanks to Hallmark Publishing for granting me an e-ARC of this book via Netgalley. This does not affect my opinion regarding the book in any way.
First of all, this is so heartwarming, packed with lovable characters, Christmas traditions, and an unforgettable lesson to the reader. Yes, the title is very fitting. Though I must admit, the best charm of this novel is not because of the main characters alone but everyone in it.
The characters were given such realistic qualities. There is no doubt that the author had succeeded in letting those qualities shown on the pages. Like with Angie who is too focused on her work for her family, especially to her son, Pepe, that she doesn’t even consider to be romantically involved. And Sam who is also hardworking but only to succeed more. He really works hard that he expects his employees to do the same. He thinks himself as fair and reasonable and it really showed in the story. I can say the same with the side characters. It’s like the author has given equal spotlights to all the characters and I like that. The dynamics of the characters were so good. I especially love Angie’s relationship with her family. I won’t tell you much about this because it’s better you discover it yourself.
The whole set-up of this novel is also to be commended. I just love the mood or atmosphere of the story. It’s too Christmas-y but still realistic. It’s set in a town where you can always bump at someone you know, or that the business establishments are owned by people who have known each other for a long time. This definitely helped Sam as he tries to remember his forgotten memories. Christmas spirit is too obvious but the author didn’t forget to show the concerns that the characters face in their normal days, making this story realistic. Also, it’s a great idea to set an MC with amnesia in a Christmas season, because Christmas is such a heartwarming holiday and well, that makes the process of remembering so much better and more meaningful.
My only issue is that every time, a character’s name is mentioned, whether a new character or just one recurring in a new scene, the physical description follows. It’s just a couple to three sentences but still. Also, I noticed that the voice of the characters is almost similar. Not their qualities, just their voice. It’s like only one person is talking. For example, Sam and Angie despite being both hardworking, they still have different qualities — the former can be prickly and the latter is nice — but Alas! they both use the term, gosh whenever possible. And worse, all characters use the word, gosh, when they’re a bit surprised. They’d say ‘Oh gosh’ or ‘Oh my Gosh’, or just simply ‘gosh.’ But I read an ARC so maybe it was changed.
But overall, I highly recommend this book. You might wanna read this if you want to feel the spirit of Christmas early and if you miss your family.

Angie wants to make a good future for her family. Her son, her mother and grandmother deserve a home of their own. Hopefully they can make this dream come true. Ever since Angie lost her husband and father in a tragic accident, she's never stopped working. I wanted her to find love and happiness again. Her work with Sam Singleton at his jewelry store helps her cover expenses. She enjoys the work and finds her employer attractive, but aloof. They are opposites in personality. He's driven to be successful. He doesn't need people. That is until a fall causes him to lose his memory. Now he needs help. Who can he turn to? Angie is always willing to help so she takes him home. I loved how Angie and her family welcome him. What happens next is so heart warming. Sam becomes a changed man. He and Pepe grow close. It was sweet how they played together. Angie and Sam have great chemistry. They make a perfect couple. I sighed as they grew close. I felt the magic of the holiday. The snow added sparkle. It was the perfect setting for this sweet romance. The characters are so easy to relate to. I found their dialogue emotional and touching. I wanted a HEA but I wasn't sure what would happen when Sam got his memory back. He was so closed off. Ginny Baird wrote a holiday story that was magical. When I finished reading An Unforgettable Christmas I felt happy. This is a perfect romance for Christmas. I received a copy of this book which I voluntarily read and reviewed. My comments are my honest opinion.
How I love a Christmas story, and this book was the perfect Christmas read! Angie is a young widower and single mother who lives in a loving multi-generational home. Angie works at a jewelry store and loves her job and the customers she serves. Sam is the owner of the store who works alongside her. Sam’s a little distant is his manner, with no real interests outside of his store.
One day Sam has an accident and develops memory loss and is told he cannot be left to recover on his own. Angie’s family takes him in to recover in their home in the days leading up to Christmas Day. Sam’s illness makes him a happier, more friendly man. He begins to repair relationships with those he has estranged. Furthermore, the attraction between Angie and Sam cannot be denied. But the question remains - when Sam recovers, will the attraction still be there?
I loved this story and hope it will become a Hallmark movie at some point in time. I loved the cultural Christmas traditions that Angie’s family practiced which really brought in a unique Christmas experience. I found it heart-warming that the central theme of the book was the importance of family - something that is near and dear to my heart. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a good holiday romance book.

An Unforgettable Christmas By: Ginny Baird
*REVIEW* 🎄🎄🎄🎄 An Unforgettable Christmas is a charming holiday read. Sam(the boss) and Angie work together. Through an accident, Sam loses his memory, so Angie takes him in to care for him. The goal is to recover these lost memories. They are, however, creating wonderful new memories. Sam and Angie are developing into more than boss and employee. It's a delightful warm hearted story as they fall for each other. What happens when Sam remembers everything? Will he want Angie then? It's a gamble and a big risk. The feeling of Christmas was evident in the story, and it's cheesy at times but in a good way. It's about putting your heart out there and trusting it's for the best. I enjoyed this book and the unique premise. This is a great Christmas book for anyone to enjoy.
David Singleton spends all his time focusing on making sure his jewelry store is great. Which means he spends none of his time seeing the wonderful things and people who are around him until he can no longer remember his busy life due to an accident.
Angie Lopez spends her time being thankful and working hard to provide for her family. When David needs someone to take care of him after his accident she can’t say no. Now the two of them will make new memories for David and herself.
What happens when David gets his memory back??
This sweet Christmas read will bring a tear to your eye and joy to your heart no matter what month you read it.
De ja vu takes the sweetest of twists for two hearts in need of love. How does one heal a broken heart? By finding a reason to hope again. An Unforgettable Christmas makes a complicated love story into a simply beautiful fresh start. Baird gives a magical touch to an emotional story and makes a heart feel better for coming out the other side. Angie and Sam give heartbreak, a heartwarming makeover with an unforgettable, forever kind of love.

Angie and Sam resist their attraction. He is her boss and it would be completely inappropriate. But a freak accident throws all caution to the wind and makes for an unforgettable Christmas. I loved the sweet romance and story of their finding one another. Even with them being right there in front of the other.
Angie is a single mom who works for Sam. Working in the very popular jewelry store let's her meet many different people and she excels at her job. Making Sam see things and making changes brings about even more profit for him. But she finds him wildly attractive.
Sam knows what an asset Angie is. But one mistake and everything could be gone. This is why he will resist his feelings no matter how beautiful he finds her. But one slip and a hit to his head and Sam can't remember his name much less anything else. Everything is gone but childhood memory. Angie has saved him and he doesn't even remember her. As she settles him I to her home and her life, he feels a sense of belonging. He loves her son Pepe and her mother and grandmother. Thi gs seems to be cha ging but for the better. He doesn't like who he finds himself to be. Or rather who he used to be. But as his memory comes back he fears the growing feelings he and Angie have aren't real. Can she love Sam not knowing who he really is?? Can he be the man she and her family need or will his memories hold him back??
Heartwarming, sweet, charming, with a dash of romance--this story is just what I expect and love about Hallmark's Christmas offerings! Ginny Baird gives us great characters (featuring a fun and multi-generational Latino family) and builds them a small-town world where everyday life is the good stuff. I loved her use of the amnesia plot device to bring Sam to examine his life choices and consider the life he wants in the future. Add this to your Christmas reading list! I hope it is made into a Hallmark Christmas movie so it can be enjoyed by a wider audience. I voluntarily requested and read an advanced review copy provided by the publisher via Netgalley and I offer my honest opinion is response.
Sam wasn't exactly likeable at the beginning of the story. Angie, and her family, is very selfless. When her Scrooge of a boss falls and hits his head, Angie brings him home to take care of him. He can't remember who he is or anything about the last 26 years of his life. It is time for him to start over. As he is recovering, Angie and Sam are growing closer. Angie tries to keep her feeling to herself, because what if Sam doesn't feel the same way once his memory is restored? Sam is repairing his relationship with his father and an old friend, but what will happen when his memory returns? Will he be a good person? Will he still love Angie?
This is a a very cute Christmas romance I absolutely loved! Perfect clean holiday romance that will make you feel good. The characters seem so real and the plot was definitely magical and heartwarming. Perfect book to curl up by the fire with a fuzzy blanket and a cup of tea♥️ Many thanks to NetGalley, the publisher and author, Ginny Baird, for the opportunity to read and review this book for my honest opinion.
Look, it wasn't a bad book, it's actually 2.5 stars for me (I dont know why People rates higher then that). It's just that I found the story SO CHEESY. It wasn't a sweet christmas book, it was more of someone watched their kid playing in the dollhouse, and wrote the story the kid invented. I dont even know how to explain it, but yeah I didn't like the book. The idea is good actually, but the way it was made, it kinda sucked.... :(
This book is the most unforgettable Chrsitmmas book you will read! Amazing, touching and heartwarimg with the magic feels of Hallmark and this amazing authors magic touch will leave you a bit teary eyed as it left me! I truly find my words hard to express my feelings of how much I loved and felt the writing detail in this beautiful Christmas book!! This heart melting read filled with grief, loss ,hope and love mixed with the magic of christmas will leave you reminded of what really matters at christmas and everyday of the year! A MUST READ BOOK!! LOVED THIS SO MUCH!
I never would have picked up this book, were it not for the Hoopla Free Borrows for the month of November ... But it ended up being a fun little read. Clean, with some Latin spunk thrown into the mix.
For a quick, easy, feel good book, An Unforgettable Christmas is a must read! It's everything a Christmas romance should be, and more!Hallmark outdid itself again by getting Ginny Baird to write this very loving and Christmassy story! Well done!!
An Unforgettable Christmas is a perfect Christmas story. Sweet. Romantic. Great storyline. An adorable little boy. I also love that their are 2 romances going on in the story.
"An Unforgettable Christmas", from author Ginny Baird, is a touching holiday romance filled with seasonal spirit that will gladden readers' hearts. Angie Lopez, widowed at a young age, is a hard-working mother of a young son, Pepe. Due to the twists and turns in her life, Angie, her son, her mother, and her grandmother all live together in an apartment in the small resort town of Hopedale, Virginia--which is famous for the Hopedale Valley Springs Ski Resort. Angie works as an accountant and salesperson at Singleton's Jewelers--a first-class store which sells fine jewelry and gifts. Angie's boss, Sam Singleton, is a perfectionist--a man driven to excel in success. While Sam is a fair employer, and certainly not a total "Scrooge", he remains remote in his relationships with others--even with his father, David. Angie and her own family are very close, and they support each other and make things work for the best. When Sam suffers a memory loss due to a bad fall, Angie feels that she must take him in to her own home while he recovers. Sam has no close friends, and his father is aging and suffering from his own health issues. Sam is embraced by the Lopez family: Angie's hero-worshiping young son Pepe, her mother Elena--a caring and dedicated labor and delivery nurse, and Lita, her free-spirited, artistic grandmother. It's quite a different holiday for them all, and as bits and pieces of Sam's memory start to come back, the reasons for his quest for success and status also become clear. Sam's mother died when he was just a boy, and his grieving father thought it best to send Sam to a private school, never imagining the isolation Sam would feel and how it would shape his outlook on life. The car accident which killed Angie's husband also killed her father, so she and her mother were both widowed at the same time. Sam and Angie have both known great loss, and they have each moved forward with their lives in different ways. As Sam interacts with Angie's family, she sees the warmth and kindness beneath his polished exterior. He sees the true beauty of the lovely woman who is not only an excellent employee, but a friend whose company he enjoys, and his heart begins to thaw. Angie is equally attracted to Sam, but there are issues they both must resolve. When Sam does fully regain his memory, will they once again be just employer and employee--or is there hope for a happy future--one that sparkles diamond-bright? On a personal note, I loved this story even more for its setting: The beautiful mountains of Virginia, where I live less than an hour away from an historic, world-class resort and natural hot springs.
Oh goodness! Where to start? I finished this book and I had happy tears streaming. I love Ginny Baird. She never fails to leave me happily destroyed. In, “An Unforgettable Christmas,” we meet single mom Angie and her family, Pepe, Elena and Lita. Angie works in a jewelry store for a boss, Sam, who keeps his distance ... from everyone, including his own father. When Sam has an accident that causes memory loss, Angie brings him home to care for him. This is such a lovely story! It is filled with tradition, love, kindness ... all the things that make Christmas the best time of the year! I sigh just remembering it. I adore Angie and her family. I fell in love with Sam, David, Ernesto and Ken. I am hoping to see them all finding love. I love how Ginny Baird captured Angie’s home life and the way it is heavily influenced by her Puerto Rican heritage. It meant a lot to me to see an accurate portrayal instead of just a nod at her culture. I could smell the food through my Kindle. Haha. I seriously was left in need of some pollo con gandules, which is my favorite dish. There is a recipe in the back for Arroz con Pollo which is pretty much how I was taught to make Pollo con Gandules. My Arroz con Pollo has a more Mexican style to it as that’s where my influence is. Still, I did try the Arroz con Pollo in the book and it is a very tasty recipe. I tend to make sofrito ahead and I use a lot of sazón so this recipe was interesting for me. It was simple to make so, if you haven’t made this recipe before, don’t be intimidated by the long list of ingredients. It only looks long because you are making a seasoning rub. A helpful hint I have for you is to increase the dry seasoning ingredients and mix in a jar to keep on hand. You will probably want to make this again and again. I enjoyed every moment I spent with this book. It has been a challenging year for me and, at the time I was reading, some of the worst days occurred. This had me reading at a much slower pace as I stretched it out as long as I could. I needed to be, mentally, in the world the author created. If not for that I would have finished this book in a day or so. I recommend this book if you are in need to be swept away to a home filled with love, family and the spirit of Christmas. Thank you to NetGalley, Hallmark Publishing and Ginny Baird for providing an electronic copy of this book for review. I voluntarily reviewed this book and purchased a copy because I loved it so much! I know it is a book I will turn to again.
