Vampires, demons and witches! I love to write about these dark entities and the darker the better. My characters are plunged into worlds where they experience torture and mayhem, but even in a world of darkness, true love survives. I write both, sci-fi, contemporary and historical paranormal stories.
This book, and the world that the author has created, are absolutely fascinating. Although this is the first book in this series, I had the feeling that there is other books before this one that introduced us to this world. That being said, I didn't feel like I was missing anything, and it in no way detracted from the greatness of this book. Vaughn and Sandra's journey to their HEA was not an easy one, but it's well worth reading, and I highly recommend you give this book a read. I am off to read Tash's story even though I am mad at him right now. I can't tell you why because I don't give spoilers, so start reading to find out. Mature eyes only due to hot 🔥 Alien/Human loving!!!
Side note: After posting my review I went and looked at the other 2 books in this series because of the feeling I had that this wasn't the 1st book in the series. According to the publication dates, Book 3 came out before books 1 & 2, and there are references to that story in Book 1 so I believe this series is misnumbered. The reading order for this series should be Walfea, Vaughn, and then Tash.
For adults only(18+ years old). Contains subject matter that may be offensive or a trigger for some, including adult language, steamy hot intimate scenes and violence (kidnapping, child abuse, fighting, assault, betrayal, death, etc).
WARNING: There are multiple scenes, storylines and arcs' that may be very difficult beyond just warning of triggers. Also, I tried not to provide any spoilers, but there will be spoilers if you have not read any of the previous stories.
I went back and forth in the rating of this story. Mainly because there was an entire subject matter that wasn't addressed (previous situation that occurred in the previous story of Walfea).
This is the darkest story l have read from the series, but in some ways also one of the lightest because it was about being oppressed, betrayed and physically / mentally attacked before finding support, belief, hope and Love.
Sandra is a human scientist who has discovered a way to save the Arian race without even knowing there are alien that need saving. She has demons of her own in her mother and stepfather that she will have to learn to deal with before she can go forward with her future. Vaughn is an Arian scientist on the Intrepid spaceship and has been sent to earth to get the drug to save his people. The bad part (to him) is the doctor is his mate but she doesn't know since she is human and he didn't tell her the only time he was on earth and met her. But he feels he has to find the answers about his father and a earlier trip to another planet before he can think of a mate. Can these two solve both their problems and find a HEA? I have really enjoyed this story.
This book is listed as the first book in the series, however, "Walfea" is chronically Book 1. "Vaughn" is book 2; and "Tash" is book 3. The stories make more sense when read in that order.
Sandra is a genius scientist. She and Vaughn met in for the first time in Walfea. Vaughn recognized that Sandra is his mate, but circumstances have kept them apart. Sandra's brilliant scientific mind is desperately needed to save the female bears of Aria. Vaughn brings her aboard the Intrepid and they rush to discover what is killing the Arian bears and how to cure their condition. Lots of dramatic suspense with a healthy dose of hot, hot romance on the side. Enjoy!
Love with heal. Vaughn has two missions. Get his mate and help save the women of this planet, and he has a burning desire to find out what really happened on the Intrepid and if his father is guilty of leaving his crew behind to be killed. But his older brother believes their father can do no harm and wants Vaughn to stop his investigation. If he continues it could destroy his relationship with his brother. But he must know the truth. And he has to help his mate recover from her past and move forward towards a future together. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review
Vaughn and Sandra had quite a battle going on. He being from Aria and her from earth. Both had baggage, but her's was I think the worse. He brought out the best in her, but he did have his work cut out for him and he did a great job! They had a battle on the ship to not only save lives but find and stop a traitor that was killing women and Vaughn's father and brother. Great storyline and characters.
This author just keeps coming with these strong women who have been through so much and the mates that stand for them. This is another great addition to any book shelf. The author took us on a long journey to find this couple their HEA and it was worth every wild twist and turn. I can’t wait to see what happens next.
Part of the Bears of Aria series a well written story that kept me turning pages. Human scientist Sandra Rotella and Arian Vaughn's story. There is suspense, drama, danger, an evil step-father and mother, a planet with women dying, a evil villain, twists, turns, and love. I loved this story. It is mostly sci-fi adventure and of course romance but has a twist with shifter aliens that turn into bears. From start to finish the action doesn’t stop. Finding a cure and also finding the truth will bring Vaughn and Sandra together. Both will find that they are capable of so much and that together they are unstoppable.
This story holds so many lessons in learning to believe in yourself, but they're written in a wonderfully entertaining way. You'll love reading about Vaughn and Sandra's journey to matehood. I can't wait to read about Tash, Vaughn's older brother 's.
So much drama! Evil plots, past traumas, and a love and, most importantly, trust, that wins the day. I particularly liked how Vaughn’s love and caring for Sandra helped her overcome the trauma in her past. A nice set-up for the next book in the series, Tash.
This story was good and far more intense than I was expecting. The plot was well constructed and unpredictable, other than the romance which actually, for me, didn’t take centre stage in this book.
The women on his planet are dying. There's a Sciencetist on Earth, who has promising research. This tale is full of adventure, murder, and sabotage. And of course love
The story was ok and different. I just didn't like how Sandra was too much of a damsel in distress in the beginning. It does get better when Vaughn champions for her and her self esteem rises. I did like the ending.
Vaughn is a bear shifter from another planet. His female people are dying and need help. Sandra is a human scientist from earth that can help the female bear shifters, and she's Vaughn' s mate .
It started with distrust and abuse, went into finding a cure, then looking for a traitor and finding answers. Was a good read, the storyline was well thought out and interesting, this was an ARC from the author and my honest opinion
