A farmer's daughter and man of means end up striking a secret deal together—a deal that involves their hearts as much as their future...

Willa Brown rushes from her apprenticeship as a dressmaker in Texas to rescue her family's farm, only to find her beloved Silverpines has suffered yet another catastrophe—this time in the form of a fire. While she works to figure out how to save her father’s dream from debt collectors, the town works to rebuild.

Enter Harrison Holt, a Titan of Industry, who comes to town in order to invest in Silverpines' reconstruction. He not only plans to supply the necessary bricks for the rebuilding, but to establish his ninth brickyard in the town. There’s only one problem with his plan, he needs to convince the tenacious Willa Brown to sell him a portion of her family's land. That’s easier said than done. She counters with an unexpected offer—marriage.

When an admirer from Willa’s past appears, could it end the feelings between Willa and Harrison before they have a chance to grow? Can Willa save the family farm? Will Harrison stay in town and make a home for himself in Silverpines? And will Harrison and Willa find a way to be together, despite all the obstacles that manage to get in their way?

Willa Brown has a talent as a seamstress so to further her talent she moves to Texas to apprenticeship under her Aunt. Enjoying herself and her additional dressmaking skills she is sad when she is summoned home for a family emergency by her younger kid brother. Family is the most important thing so home she must go. When she realizes there really is an emergency and her brother is not bluffing about their lack of funds to make the payments on the family farm she realizes drastic measures must be taken. In desperation she considers sending a letter off advertising herself as a mail order bride, saying in her letter she needs to marry a man of means. Upon her arrival home she sees the town has suffered a severe fire. Harrison Holt is summoned to town by the mayor because he's a brick maker. I loved how Willa and Harrison's character developed . This book was a lot of fun and I look forward to reading more about Silverpines,Oregon and it's people.

GOD WORKS IN MYSTERIOUS WAYS

Each book in the Silverpines Series by various authors are designed to be read as stand-alone stories. In Ms. Jenna Brandt’s tale, it will have some tie into Rockwood Springs that her Wanted books in the Lawkeeper series takes place, but will not be an issue if you haven’t read them. The story is a clean, Christian based historical romance that isn’t preachy.

The story will have Willa Brown traveling back home to Silverpines after received a letter from her younger brother. She has been living in Rockwood Springs, Texas learning the trade of dress designer and seamstress—but her family needs her back home, and it is urgent she returns. The situation is direr than she realized, leaving her feeling guilty for leaving. The farm is now in threat of foreclosure, her father is in deep depression, and her elderly grandmother and younger brother can’t handle the burden—what will it take to save the farm?

“We just need to pray,” her grandmother suggested. “God will make a way.”

What a shock to enter the town and it is filled with smoke and ash from a major fire that destroyed many key buildings and businesses. A message is sent from the town to brickyard tycoon, Harrison Holt, for assistance. He can help, but he will need land to build a brickyard, and the best piece of property is part of the default Brown farm. What kind of negotiations can Harrison make with Willa?

“You’re an answer to my prayers, Mr. Holt. Maybe not the answer I was expecting, but an answer none-the-less.”

“I can see I’m going to have my hands full dealing with her.”

A bargain is struck, a timeline is set, a courtship has begun, but they chose to keep it low key. No matter what, a brickyard will happen, and help is there for the failing farm. What wasn’t counted on was feelings to be in play. The more time Harrison and Willa spend together, the deeper the feelings they develop. What will keep these two from finding happiness?

“Willa was kind, generous, and thoughtful. She put her family and friends first, working hard for everyone and taking very little time for herself.”

The story is full of emotions, angst, new beginnings, and a painful past. It has the good, the bad, and the ugly of life and some people. With a nosy postmistress, a former friend, and insecurities getting in the way—it also has two people with a love of God and caring about others making a difference.

April 1900 Silverpines, Oregon Jenna Brandt's latest story has the heroine, Willa, going home to Silverpines to help her father. She had been working with her aunt in Texas to apprentice as a dressmaker. When she received word from her brother about the farm going under and her father not doing well she was so worried.
It seemed another disaster happened in town with a fire destroying a large part of the businesses. Plus she found out everything was much worse at the farm than she thought.
But is seemed like her prayers may be answered when Harrison, a businessman came to town to help with the rebuilding. Could he help her save the farm?
For a novella there was a lot packed into this story. As usual Jenna brings a wonderful heartfelt tale that had me feeling invested in the characters and anxiously waiting what would happen. I always am sorry to turn the last page because I know I will have to be patient until the next story by this talented author, but it is worth the wait! Come home to Silverpines!

Willa Brown loves designing and making dresses. She moves to Texas to study under her aunt, whose dresses are well known. When she receives a letter from her younger brother, asking her to come home because they were close to loosing their farm in hopes she can come up with a way to save it. Feeling guilty, Willa rushes home, only to discover her hometown suffered a devastating fire with a lot of the town buildings destroyed. Harrison Holt is a brick maker who owns several brickyards. When he receives a letter from the mayor of Silverpines requesting his help, Harrison goes to Silverpines to set up another brickyard for the West coast. He finds the best land for it is the Brown family farm. So he strikes up a deal with Willa, marriage in exchange for the money to pay off the bank note. She will then let him have the land needed for his brickyard. In the meantime, a friend of Willa's shows up declaring his love. Who does Willa love? Who will she marry? Can she save the family from a debt collector demanding payment of the bank loan in another way? This is a Christian western romance. It is clean and wholesome. Even though I received a copy as an ARC, it in no way influenced my review, which is my honest opinion

Willa left home to become a dressmaker after her family suffered tragedy in the Silverpines disaster. But her little brother is begging her to come home and help keep them from losing the farm. Her Father has been dealing with deep depression since the tragedy and there are too many bills that they are unable to pay. Willa returns home and is desperate to find the money to pay off the bills and keep the farm.
Harrison is friends with Braylon Watts. When Braylon and the Stonemason ask him to consider setting up a new brickyard in Silverpines he's interested. He wants to help his friend and the town. But he's only there for the business. Maybe he can get the Brown family to sell a piece of their land. But then he meets Willa Brown. Can he keep to business only? Will she accept his offer on the piece of property? Or will she have her own ideas? What happens when her friend's brother comes to town.
This is a clean, sweet romance. It was pretty good. I like how it tied in a little bit to Rockwood Springs from Jenna Brandt's Lawkeepers series and Nadine of the Pinkerton Matchmaker series.

This was a good story about the sacrifices one does for their family. Willa has been making a name for herself in another state and learning about dressmaking. She was called home because her father is not doing well and will possibly lose their family farm. I enjoyed watching Willa's tenacity and her strength. The town of Silverpines has been through many tragedies and they called upon a brickmaker, Harrison, to help out the town. Harrison is an independent young man that has made a fortune in building bricks. He is a hard worker. When Willa and Harrison meet, there was a little spark. I enjoyed watching that spark turn into a little fire. The couple still had many trials to overcome and they had to look beyond their original agreement of marriage. Overall, a cute romance that I would recommend to those that like marriages of convenience that turn to real love.
I received a copy of this book. This is my honest and voluntary review.

This story was so easy to read. I found myself wanting to know what was going to happen next throughout.
The plot was very interesting and I loved the interaction between Harrison and Willa and the way they managed to sort things out. Just goes to show how powerful a bit of decent communication really is.
I kept thinking that I wouldn't mind having a man like Harrison in my life, not only for the financial support, but for the company and togetherness that he seemed to create. He's almost too good to be true, but thats what fantasies are made of, I guess, and thats why we read books!
I was very aware of the human and emotional elements which are beautifully written in making the tale more believable and for this reason am very happy to recommend this as a really great read!
I read an Advance Reader Copy and this is my unbiased and voluntary review of it.

Harrison and Willa

Willa's family has suffered several losses recently due to unexpected death, her brother, her mother and her unborn child. Her father went into a deep depression and the loss of last year's crop. Did to the crop loss and his depression he was unable to make pressing bank loans due creating a precarious situation for the Brown family. Harrison was a successful and wealthy young business man was requested to come to Silverpines referencing bringing a brick making business. A portion of the Brown farm would make the best location for Harrison's new brick making company. Making things more difficult for Willa, the bank has sent a sleazy debt collector to try to get payment. Will Willa and her family loose their farm? Will she and Harrison make a love connection? This is good read and I enjoyed it and I think you will too.

Willa Brown and Harrison Holt have a chance encounter. Willa is returning to her hometown after an extended absence. Harrison is looking for another location to build another plant for his growing and prosperous brick factory. Who knew they would both end up in Silver Pines just after most of the town burned! The land he wants belongs to Willa's family. Willa's family is in dire financial straits due to a number of unfortunate circumstances. A marriage of convenience is arranged. Does it become more? I enjoyed the pace, the plot is clear, the setting well portrayed, the characters relatable, and the mood contagious. This book is definitely a page turner!

Willa does not know what to do to save the family farm so much money and so little time. Her grandmother believes she should advertise for a rich husband, but Willa really wants to marry for love yet she really does not have that option. Harrison comes to town and perhaps something else has open up for Willa. Will a business deal turn into something else? I truly enjoyed reading this one Harrison and Willa were outstanding characters and I loved how the whole town worked toward re-building after the fire. This book is not hard to recommend. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.

Wanted Tycoon

Willa was a young nineteen year old lady who her father sent to Texas to learn how to be a seamstress by taking lessons from her Aunt. Harrison was a wealthy business man who had several brick yards across the states. When the town where Willa was from was burned down and Harrison was asked to come and help them rebuild with the help of his brick yard he came with the intention of opening another yard on the Brown farm. This was a book on love and belonging. This is my review and mine alone. Norma Gorrill

Wanted: Tycoon is a quick, sweet romance. Willa and Harrison are both so well written, it is a pleasure to read the book. The story hinges on a deal made by Willa with Harrison so that he will get land he needs and she can help save the family farm. This is an inspirational tale of a town coming together to rebuild after a huge fire and of two special people who help with that and find love along the way.

Wanted: Tycoon

Another sweet enjoyable read from Jenna Brandt. I appreciate her for bringing more Christian novels to the public. I had reached a place where I quit buying novels because their was too much unnecessary violence and quite frankly smut in most novels. Things I really don’t want to clutter my mind with. Thank you Jenna Brandt for good wholesome novels that focus on Christian values.

The book is part of the series about Silverpines in Oregon. I loved the plot and characters. I had to keep reading so that I could find out if there was going to be a HEA. This was the first book of the series that I have read, but I am going to go and read the rest of the series. Keep up the stories.

This story was wonderful. What started out as Willa putting her dream of dressmaking on hold and seeking a man with means to marry ends up with something she never expected. She makes an arrangement with Harrison a wealthy gentleman who comes to town to help rebuild and neither expect the feelings they have will turn to love. I received a complimentary copy and I am voluntarily reviewing.

This is the first book I have read by this author. I wasn't sure what to expect. She did great with keeping the continuity of the Silverpines storyline. Even though Willa didn't have to send off for a groom like her friends did, she still got the perfect man for her and the town.

Another great book in the series!

I really enjoyed the story between wills and her beau. It was an interesting way they started out. It was also good to hear the result of the fire on the town and how people had been strong and working together.
