As a 4th grade child Brian experienced difficulty adjusting to being the “new kid’ at school where he was bullied, not by students but by his teacher. A teacher who has secrets of her own. Meanwhile, a local teenage girl gets murdered and her boyfriend is the prime suspect but comes up missing. As an adult Brian is haunted by dreams of the Massachusetts woods that were his only refuge. Brain travels back to his old hometown to find answers and discovers a childhood girlfriend is also looking for the same answers. Both are swept away together in a demotic time travel paradox.
