Once again, I've sat up most of the night reading - because I couldn't bear to put this book down!
With Legba now on board the Chesed, Bentley is being helped by him, to understand exactly what happened to her, with the Sword.
Legba is taking her deep into meditations that help her see his memories of the time they first met, and Bentley is finding it all very tough to take in.
But while the Chesed is making it's way towards an appointment the whole team need to prepare for, something happens to Bentley that, once again, changes her perspective of who she is.
This really was a nailbiter, and I just couldn't stop reading, even though the clock kept ticking, and I got ever more tired - but I just had to keep reading this book until the very end - author's notes included!
I really have a chuckle with the authors notes! 🤣
Anyhoo, it's time for me to go on to the next book in the series; Storm!
So, once I've had some shuteye, I'll start reading book six, then I'll catch you on the flip side, to tell you what I think of it!

Okay! Zooming through all books to date on this series...
End of book five. I am reading these at a speed of one per day. I usually 90% of the time but the books out of respect for the work that goes into a book! Now for the nag. You are charging $4.99 for the book but lately I feel I'm getting cheated on some books. Please start getting to the point of the series! Between you and all your books I've bought. Mike's and Martha and all the others, I have a big investment here. Get to the pay day or with the exception o

Flashbacks
We finally learn about Bentley when she was Raven, and why she ended up on the Chesed. Flashbacks are an interesting method, and one I enjoy.
Legba plays a more prominent role this time, instead of being in. The background. Which is a good thing, as the title is Legba!
There is sooo much action and remembering, that my head is spinning! Book ends on quite an interesting note.
Sooooo..... When is book 6 being released?

More, Please?
It was just getting good... And then the book ended! Gah! Actually, the book was good from start to finish, but the ending was a bit of a cliff hanger. When will the next one be here?
Suffice it to say, I really enjoyed this book! Finally, we find out Bentley's history and how she came to be on the Chesed. Also, they have a new enemy coming after them; can they ever catch a break? Start with book one and enjoy the ride! You will not be sorry!

I can’t believe I’ve gone through five books already.
The only negative that I’ve found about this series is that it’s costing me a great deal of sleep. Last night I finally put it down after 2 AM, promising myself I wouldn’t do the same tonight. But, here I am at 1:40 AM wide awake having just finished book 5. These books flow so well that there’s never a good stopping point. Oh well, having read two of her other series, it’s not like I didn’t know what I was getting into.

More of an excellent story
Lots going on in this one. Bentley get a lot more in touch with the sword. And learns a little more about her history. Looking forward to more.

Love it but
Loco is such a tool! And no one believes Bentley despite the fact that she is always right! Still rough but engaging characters. Can’t wait for book 6!
