This is the second book I read by the author and it’s the first in the series, it’s a romantic novel that involves a paranormal theme. Gabrielle and her friends travel to Virginia (USA) for a vacation from Canada, they stop in St. Claire because Suzzane's car breaks down. There Gabby meets Sheriff Rick Brady and they’re attracted to each other, however they are a little weird, even though they like them, they also have cold and even sarcastic attitudes. Rick's friend, Bill, is a mechanic and promises to fix their car as quickly as possible while they stay at Carla's B&B. There Gabby meets a little ghost and they find themselves in danger, although they don't know why their lives are threatened. The story as such I liked it, but not for the romantic moments which felt a bit cold to me even though the erotic scenes are written with delicacy. In this case I don't have a favorite character, it's rare that I don't find a character interesting, but neither Gabbrielle nor Rick or the others were able to awaken something special in me, just entertainment. Overall not bad but also didn't make me see stars, like the second book "Trust me in time". This first book has a little bit of everything, romance, suspense and a little sadness to say the least. Then it is a book that reads relatively quickly because it wraps you up in the theme of the ghost and the mystery of lives that are threatened. So I recommend it for senior teens and adults who like romance.

As expected, this novel is amazing and I never get bored with the mixed genre between romance, thriller, and horror! Caught between worlds is a story about four beautiful girls (Gab, Sue, Julie, and Wendy) who got stuck in a small city called St. Clair, in the middle of their way for a holiday. They met a lot of people in St. Clair, such as Rick, Bill, Jack, Carla, and many more. Even Gab and Sue met Steven, a little ghost that usually plays around the Bed and Breakfast that belongs to Carla and Jack. After some event, Gab discovered that Steven was the son of Jack and Carla that passed away a few years ago. At the same time, Gab also discovered that many accidents happened and ended up killing some people related to the Bed and Breakfast. The mystery led to an early conclusion that the accident might be caused by a ghost. And I was really surprised when they discovered the real cause of the accident at the end since it was unexpected!
The beautiful romance story between Gab and Rick also brightens up the mood for the reader, that's why this novel never bore me even once! Even though, I kind of a little bit confused when there were too many new characters in one event (parade scene). To conclude, I love this novel so much and I hope many more people will read G.P. Gadbois's work because they are amazing!

Caught Between Worlds by G.P. Gadbois combines romance, paranormal, and mystery. I became quite attached to the two lead characters as their relationship deepens. Gadbois does an excellent job developing her characters, making the reader care for them and hope for a positive outcome.

I thought the romantic elements were tastefully described, coming across natural and sexy, without excess. The setting and mysterious happenings kept me reading. I finished the novel in just a couple of sittings, and recommend it to anyone who enjoys character-driven ghost stories with a love angle.

Review about "Caught Between Worlds" Novel.

Book: Caught Between Worlds.
Author: G.P Gadbois.
Publishing year : 2018
Language: English.
Pages: 328( e-copy).

This novel's story was romance filled story with some mysterious activities.
Four college' friends were on their road trip with their practical jokes and non stop enjoyment. I enjoyed sassy and bold dialogue among friends. I liked the prompt attraction between Gabrielle and Rick, and Bill and Suzanne. In Gabrielle and Rick story, Rick was a good looking and responsible policeman, he triumphed, to keeping her safe and seize her heart too. Ghost story and spices of romance keep me following the book. Story was so beautiful, author writing style was also impressive. End was so surprising.

Caught Between Worlds

I was excited to read this book. Four girls on an exciting road trip, getting stranded in a small town full of hot guys, and the appearance of a ghost, held the promise of a great story. The ghost’s appearance set this story apart from other romances, and the suspense surrounding this character created good intrigue.

This is a quick read, great for the beach. All in all, who can’t enjoy a book when it’s a happily ever after?

Caught between worlds, G.P. Gadbois
This was a fun read. Four young women on a road trip and two of them meeting who they hope are the men of their dreams. But for the main character of this book, she experienced all kinds of firsts with a hot cop, from a murder mystery to a ghost shrouded in mystery, to learning how to form a relationship and still stay true to herself. The dynamics of the four friends made their conversations real and made me want to know more about them. This was an all-around fun story and now I’ll have to start book two!

Caught Between Worlds delivers for those who want a little bit of everything: Girlfriends Road Trip, Suspense, Paranormal Mystery and of course Romance.

Both Gabby and Rick are introduced in an intriguing way. Who doesn't love a hot guy who answers the door in a towel?!?

The ghost element kept me on my toes, the romance had the right amount of spice, and I was completely surprised at the end.

I look forward to the next book in the series.

This book hooked me from the beginning, but it lost steam about halfway through. It earns 3.5 out of five stars from me.
I adored and was pulled in by the cheeky dialogue between the female characters in this book. I completely heard four college women on a road trip.
I'm not a huge fan of ghost stories, but I did enjoy the mystery surrounding this one. I won't give anything away, but let me say I didn't understand why Gabby and Sue could see the ghost when no one else could. Also, it was never explained why the ghost stayed "caught between worlds" and then was freed.
Although I figured out the mystery, it was still well-delivered. Clues were dropped and hints given. A few red herrings were thrown in for good measure. But it seemed obvious to me from the beginning.
What really pulled my rating down was the romance. Not that it wasn't believable, but it seemed completely out of character for both Gabby and Rick to fall into bed when she was in danger and he was her guardian. It would have been a better story for me if the tension could have just kept building between them and then they gave in once Gabby was no longer in danger.
Also, the story is about the mystery. The last several chapters of the novel to wrap up the romance and give us a HEA really dragged. Even so, I would totally read another book by this author.
I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Caught Between Worlds is an intriguing story filled that will keep you guessing until the end.

This story centers around Gabrielle and Richard and their budding relationship. They are instantly attracted to one another and want to pressure it, but to complicate matters, there is a mystery surrounds unexplained accidents and the ghost of a little boy named Steven.

While their investigation continues to bring forth more questions, their feelings evolve and have them wondering if this is just a passing fling or is this something more meaningful.

The danger grows and feelings deepen, but can they solve the mystery before someone else gets hurt or worse, killed?

Overall, I was impressed with this storyline's ability to engage the reader and hold them captive until the last page. The concept was interesting and thought provoking, while the passion was intense and sensual.

Although some parts dragged while others seemed rushed, I rather enjoyed this book. I loved how Gabby connected with Steven and help him on is journey, while at the same time she pushes Rick to face his past and come to terms with it.

The friendship between the four girls is touching and love how they may not always get along, but they also have each others back.

I look forward to reading more from G.P. Gadbois in the future.

The story line was good and could have been a four, maybe five star read, but for me it seemed to jump to the next thing a little too quickly. I wanted a little bit of the 'in-between' before I was ready to move on to the next scene, if that makes sense, I felt the story needed padding. It just felt a bit rushed, I needed and wanted more and because of this I found it quite difficult to really get into the story.
This book contains paranormal/ crime and romance. A week’s holiday for Gabby and her friends doesn't go according to plan when they break down in a small town. Whilst the holiday seems ruined they meet the town’s hotties, Rick and Bill, along with the towns resident ghost. The characters themselves were okay, although I did find one or two irritating so that provoked emotions/ annoyances within me.
I do love a good paranormal read and this really has potential to be a great read but I feel it needed more, maybe I am just greedy in what I expect from a book so to others reading this, my hang ups would not be an issue.

I really loved the story and characters. Four girlfriends from Canada are on a week long vacation to the states and become stranded in a small town after their car breaks down. The camaraderie between the girls is great and the dialogue entertaining and realistic. Gabrielle also has great chemistry with Rick, the local deputy and her new love interest. This is not a scary, keep-you-up-at-night type of paranormal mystery. The supernatural aspects of the story tend to create intrigue rather than fear. Highly recommend!

A cute little story that was a mix of chic-lit, romance and some mystery. I really enjoyed following along and trying to solve the paranormal mystery. The story itself wasn't really paranormal but more about romance then anything else.
The story was okay for me but I had a hard time getting into the story. I'm not sure what it was but I couldn't really connect with the characters themselves.
I voluntarily reviewed an arc from the author.

While this book was a bit difficult to read, it was disjointed and jumps around a lot, I did enjoy the parts where the ghost Steven appeared. I do love a good paranormal read and this really has potential to be a great read but I feel it needed more. This was more of a mystery with romance thrown in along with some "adult" interaction! It did get better towards the end and the author shows great potential.

From beginning to end I was hooked. Even though it didn't have as much of a paranormal feel to it I still really enjoyed the story and journey. I couldn't put it down until I was finally able to figure out the mystery. Caught Between Worlds definitely kept me guessing and on my toes. Such a great read!

It is often said that love is an unyielding force that can break down the toughest walls and shatter the most stubborn barriers. Igniting a passion that can move mountains and triumph over any adversity that may come our way. However, what if those obstacles surpass the realm of all that is “normal” and instead come in the form of the supernatural? Is it possible for the passionate and relentless power of love to conquer that which we cannot truly explain?

In author, G.P. Gadbois’s novel, Caught Between Worlds, such a weighty question is put to the test. Those readers who like their romance peppered with a strong dose of the paranormal, will not be disappointed with this one!

Caught Between Worlds is Book One in the author’s Moment In Time series. In it, college student, Gabrielle Poirier, and three of her best friends have set out on an exciting vacation. However, when their car breaks down in the tiny town of St. Clair, they become stuck and are unable to continue with their adventure until it is repaired. They soon find out that this is no ordinary town. It is said that St. Clair is cursed and a spirit haunts the living. All who encounter this entity, perish soon after their ghostly meeting. After a paranormal encounter of her own, Gabrielle discovers that communicating with the dead comes at a very steep price. Her chances of survival become slimmer with each passing minute.

However, all is not completely lost as a ray of hope breaks through the shadows in the form of Deputy Rick Brady. The handsome deputy vows to shield Gabrielle from peril and solve the ghostly mystery at the same time. As sparks fly between the duo, they begin a journey that is filled with peril and passion. Will the pair manage to find true love and break the spooky case wide open? Or will their blossoming romance be cruelly snuffed out as the ghosts of St. Clair ultimately claim them as their own?

There is an awful lot to like about this paranormal romance novel. Elements of the supernatural are woven throughout the pages as readers are transported into the tiny town of St. Clair, The author’s descriptive prose brings all the paranormal elements to life which results in a vivid and immersive reading experience. With twists and turns around every corner, the story will keep the reader guessing until the very end.

Further, the chemistry between Gabrielle and Rick is electric while the romantic tension between them builds as they navigate through their otherworldly circumstances. They not only deal with the natural excitement and challenges of falling in love, but they also have to grapple with the outside dangers that threaten to destroy everything. I found myself cheering for them every step of the way.

In regard to the characters in the story, I found them to be quirky, engaging and fun. They made me fondly recall my own college days! Being able to relate to them so well is mainly accomplished through the author’s use of crisp and engaging dialogue. Indeed, every line spoken by the characters felt natural, unique, and true to their personalities. The dialogue not only served to advance the plot, but it also revealed important insights into the characters' thoughts, feelings, and motivations. It was through their conversations that I truly felt like I was getting to know them on a deeper level.

Fans of paranormal romance will not be disappointed by this captivating tale of love and adventure!

Being a fan of paranormal stories, especially because I believe in many of them, I was intrigued to read this novel. First, it takes place in the 1980s, but I must admit, I didn’t figure that out until I was halfway through the novel, when I realized that nobody had cell phones and that the story took place during a time when phones were for talking and cameras for taking photos.

I thoroughly enjoyed the four young Canadian women travel who to the US for a vacation, but end up as far from what they imagined as possible—in a town called St. Clair steeped in mystery. For me, there were a lot of characters in this story (all good, but always tougher for me to focus), but everything came together.

Front and center was a romance between Gabrielle and Rick, the sighting of a dead boy named Steven, and a mystery surrounding the town. I don’t like to write reviews that give away too much, but I was intrigued, and the camaraderie among the friends believable.

The author did a great job of weaving the paranormal elements with the romantic ones and offering quite a satisfying ending.
