A unique take on the "End Days" tribulation and rapture of Christians. This doesn't follow any particular pre-trib, mid-trib, or post-trib theology. That isn't to say it doesn't follow theology at all, just that, while we know the bible is God's word, I seriously doubt any of us know, for sure, the how, when, and where. We have the idea, as outlined in the Bible, but no one truly knows, or can even begin the fathom how bad it will be. And, have no doubt, it will be bad.
I really "enjoyed" this fictional account of how things will go down. Though I really shouldn't say I "enjoyed" it, as that sounds as if I liked reading how these people had to fight, hide, and lose loved ones. But, what I do mean is that the story pulls you in and keeps your attention. I read all 4 books within a 24 hour period. I didn't want to put it down.
The author was clever in her imaginings and thoughtful in following the word of God. And, yes, there IS a lot of the Word in this story. If you aren't a believer, follower, of Christ this may not be your cup of tea. However, as a believer, I felt she did an excellent job of bring His Word to life.
Told in multiple POV, you get to see people of all ages, and walks of life inside these pages.
My only real problem is that the author needs an editor. She was fantastic in sharing, concisely, God's Word, but the other aspects like missing words, or misused words need to be addressed. They weren't so many that it annoyed me, but were enough to catch my attention.
