The Red-Headed League is looking for a new member to assist with minor tasks. The salary for this position will be four pounds a week. All red-headed men in good health and over the age of twenty-one will be considered.
After Jabez Wilson's well-paid position with the Red-Headed League ends with no warning, he asks Holmes to find out why. What starts out as a straightforward investigation turns into a midnight stakeout as Holmes attempts to prevent a shocking crime.

Holmes and Watson are mystified by the case of a red-headed man who loses a job under mysterious circumstances. This is my favorite of all the Holmes mysteries!

This Sherlock Holmes mystery is retold and simplified for children ages 7-13. The story follows exactly the same story line as the original book by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, with much of the same dialogue and narration. Holmes and Watson are the same beloved characters that we know, and the mystery is just as suspenseful and thrilling as the original.

I loved how the writing style is simple, but is still vivid and energetic! The text is large, and there are a few definition boxes that explain terms or historical items that may be unfamiliar.

I loved the black and white illustrations that pop up every few pages. The cartoony style of the drawings is just right for this type of children's retelling, and gives an added flair to the story. The artwork is sometimes humorous and fun, making the story a little more lighthearted for young people.

I can't wait to revisit more Holmes stories in this children's series! This is an excellent way to introduce classics to elementary and middle grade readers!

Liga roșcaților… aceștia caută un nou membru care să respecte sarcini minore.Plata lor este de patru lire pe săptămână.
După ce postul bine plătit al lui Wilson dispare fără urmă, acesta îl roagă pe Sherlock să îl rezolve. Prin urmare începe un caz plin de mister și suspans alături de detectivul meu preferat Sherlock Holmes.
Vă recomand să citiți această carte , ve-ți rămâne plăcut surprinși.

I love Sherlock Holmes and this is a great introduction for my students. Great addition to me clarion library. I read it in about 25 minutes, so we can see kids talking about 1 to 2 hours on it. Perfect reading for 4th or 5th graders

"Liga Roșcaților" de Baudet Stephanie este o bijuterie de carte care mi-a adus un zâmbet larg pe față și m-a transpus direct în lumea magică a copilăriei.

Cartea aceasta este o adevărată oază de umor și creativitate. Poveștile lui Stephanie Baudet sunt scrise cu o măiestrie care te captivează, te ține lipit de pagini și te face să râzi cu gura până la urechi. Iar desenele? Ah, desenele sunt pur și simplu hilare! Fiecare ilustrație aduce povestea la viață într-un mod vibrant și colorat, perfect pentru a captiva imaginația copiilor și a celor care, ca mine, încă se simt copii pe dinăuntru.

"Liga Roșcaților" este ideală pentru cei mici, dar și pentru noi, cei mari, care uneori avem nevoie să ne reamintim de bucuria și simplitatea vieții văzute prin ochii unui copil (sau pur și simplu ne este dor de Sherlock Holmes - într-o variantă mai light, ce-i drept). Această carte te transportă într-un univers unde totul este posibil, unde aventura și râsul sunt la fiecare colț de pagină.

Am citit această carte cu o inimă plină de nostalgie și un zâmbet care nu mi-a părăsit buzele. I-am acordat un entuziast 5 din 5 stele pentru că m-a făcut să mă simt din nou mică, mi-a adus aminte de importanța de a păstra spiritul jucăuș și a umorul ca de copil în viața noastră.
