I am not a hindi reader but once in a while I do read Hindi books, and I must say reading this was not a bad idea. I enjoyed reading it. The book is basically about a saint and his nine journeys just like the title suggests, 'नौं यात्राएं' meaning nine journeys. The book has got adventures and mysteries to it which get overboard sometimes but nothing too distracting. The language is not as simple as I had thought it would be (maybe because I'm not a hindi reader.) I had to literally take my mother's help for a few words but overall it's a good read.
I picked this book when it was free. And honestly it was not a bad decisions. The book told about these mysterious subjects and goes on trying to solve those in a way that its impossible to stop in the middle without finishing it in one sitting.
Writing is very much good and for hindi readers this book is very good
This book took me back to the social science and sanskrit classes of my secondary school! Full of mystery tales, geographical elements, illustrative map, magical realms and sanskrit litetature with an edgy narration, this book is a wonderful adventure book with nine tales! Nice one time read!

This is the book I picked when I seriously wanted to feel a change in my reading style. The book is beautifully written in hindi language which at a certain point also helps in reviving hindi vocabulary.
The story is based on the theme of guru-shishya relationship and has many mysteries hidden in it which eventually gets solved by the end of it.
Despite being a story of about 180 pages, it holds it's reader and urges them to finish it soon. The cover is simple yet thoughtful. And the writing style is also simple which makes it easy to understand for a non hindi reader.

The writing is crisp and to the point for 180 pages long book it keeps u glued to the story and wanting the readers for more.. I would surely recommend this book..
It has a map in the beginning making it a further visual delight for thr readers. Initially it has vivid descriptions of the characters. It's a story of sage and his principle. It's later about their journey through different places. It's written in very easy lucid language and makes a easy quick read for even nonhindi readers. It's intriguing and keeps reader hooked. The book has a feel of Panchatantra stories. Set in the back drop of guru- shishya tradition, the book has different stories of voyages and discoveries. The stories have mystical feel and beautifully written. The cover is good but could have been better. Overall a treat for Hindi literature readers. Thanks to the author Sunil Kumar for the review copy in exchange of an honest review.
This book by Sunil Kumar makes its way by shuffling through the golden pages of the Indian History. This book has proved to be an amalgum of ancient history, hindu Mythology and what not. What I really liked about the book is that even though it is in a language which ia not that widely read as compared to English, it can be easily understood by people who have just a little control of the language. The words used were simple and the writing flowed well enough for readers to get through the book while getting right amounts of entertainment with the development of sheer curiosity. The cover could have been a little better, the title is appropriate for the wonderful tales it covers and the blurb was true to the story. Overall, it was one good and short read!
