Chance Reddick is about to walk into the worst case he could imagine: his wife, Gabriella, has been abducted, and the kidnapper is someone out of her past. He, Pete Dixon and a whole new cast of characters work together to find and save her, but then she goes missing again.
With time running out, he reaches out to the only person he can think of who might be able to help more than the team is already working with: Special Agent Sherilyn Roberts of the FBI, who still has her reservations about Chance and his "hobby." Still, she's come to know Gabriella and agrees to help.
The only question is whether or not they can rescue her in time.

What happens when the Angel of Justice is caught red handed delivering his brand of justice?
When Chance and the team of Dixon Investigations are hired to help solve a difficult case with the LVPD and 2 of their own get get kidnapped and beaten? She convinced the DA to call it self defense and to have him assist the DA in future cases where Justice needs delivering. She tells Chance to help her in a Archer's upcoming novel to help take down a corrupt DA, that's how. This one's not one you put down until done.
It had just recently occurred to me, that many of the authors and the books that I have enjoyed, have been about justice... Vigilante justice! There were special circumstances that the heroes, or heroines we were rooting for in the beginning of each series got satisfaction. Seeing the antagonist get what was coming to them, got justice. And as each of the new hero, or heroine , moved into each new adventure it was because some one had been seriously harmed. In a way that the law couldn't touch them, and the perpetrator would get to do it again. There needed to be a way to bring them to pay for their crime, a way for justice to be served; Hence vigilante justice.
Another fine book. I'm glad that everyone was able to survive the harrowing journey. I can see where Chance's future is heading, in regards to helping the FBI. I am curious to see how the romance between Tina and Jake turns out. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series and hope that there are many more to come. Keep up the great work.
I love all of David Archers books. You are always guaranteed a great read. I actually liked the character of Chance from the very first book. This episode is the classic adventure adrenaline rush and new characters to take on board, but that doesn’t detract from enjoying the story. Most excellent read David .
I love your books, all of them. Bought every book and then read every series in order and was never ever disappointed until now I’ve read them all and can’t wait till the next book launches. Thank you thank you Much appreciated Now while I wait I’m off to my next favorite author. Hope your next book comes out soon Thank you
I expected more than a class on memory loss and keystone detectives. This book was horrible. You build him up to be an "action" guy, then you make him the most impotent, inept person with zero emotion control. That's a big difference from the character you built up, and I enjoyed. You should be ashamed of yourself for putting out this wimpy crap.
Another excellent Chance Reddick novel that continues the string. There were several unexpected twists and turns that keep the reader guessing. Looking for the next book.
As always, Chance Reddick along with the Pete Dixon crew of Private Investigators bring a real page turner to life. David Archer is a brilliant author, and all of his books are superlative. I wholeheartedly recommend this book.
The focus was not so much on Chance as it was on the bad guys and his team working to find the bad guys, which this time included LVPD and the Sheriff's Department, as well as Pete's Investigations.
This was a great read. No loose ends. Everything was absolutely plausible and believable. Great attention to detail and imagination. Typical David Archer. Awesome. So how long till the next vokume?
When Gabriella is kidnapped and severely beaten and thrown out of a moving vehicle at an Emergency Department entrance, Chance will do anything it takes to find the guilty party!!!
Too many times it makes Chance Reddick look like an unaware idiot. Too many times it stops for too many emotive tears. Too many spelling errors or wrongly placed words. It could have been much better.
While it was a different twist Tharp the Sam Archer series, Archer did not miss a beat with this one. One mystery solved but next one is about to happen. I am looking forward to the next one.!
This was a good book. A person is kidnapping women and then killing them. Chance and his team are called in to try and find the person. Chance's wife is kidnapped , but then found. It all comes down to 1 girl that the kidnapper is after. This is a good story.
Love the way Archer introduces all the new characters, throws in a number of twists and turns and then brings everything to a most satisfying conclusion
Love Chance and Jake. Only part I didn't care for was the father, stepfather and halfbrother. Hard to keep them all separated in my mind. Otherwise great read. Thank you.
I have loved all the books in this series, and I can't wait till the next one is out. This author has a way of developing the story and the characters.
