I write sweet romances. I’m a small-town girl who moved to the not-so-big city. I’m mom to two young sons and wife to an amazing man who puts up with all my nerdy quirks. If we meet, you’ll know it’s me by my Oklahoma drawl.

I really enjoyed this sweet second chance story! I loved Tyler! He's an incredible guy. I liked Courtney, but she drove me crazy. She's a great person, but was so stubbornly set against even trying to make things work. Ginny and Goldie - matchmakers extraordinaire - really helped this couple along. They are hilarious and added so much to the story. I was rooting for Courtney and Tyler right along with the sisters. I liked the ending, but wish there had been an epilogue.

I received a complimentary copy of the book, which I voluntarily reviewed. I have given my honest opinion.

The Resort to Romance Series reminded me of the old TV show Fantasy Island in that love could be found on at a special Bahamas resort. However, instead of Mr. Rourke it is run by two sisters with uncanny matchmaking skills. Rematched by Julie Jarnagin is the first of the series for me to read. It is a second chance romance that is filled with angst and soul searching.
Ten years have passed since Courtney Bailey has seen Tyler Dunn when they had been high school sweethearts. Former military, Tyler is at a crossroads in his life. One not planned. Courtney too is making changes but ones of her own choosing. Of the two Tyler is the more mature after 10 years while Courtney seemed stuck in the same town, the same habits and the same high schoolish perspective. Despite her goal of becoming a foster parent she seemed very stuck emotionally. In fact, I found this to be a lesson in how memories may be true memories the true reality may be different. Memories are influenced by one’s perspective. I didn’t always agree with Courtney’s perspective.

Well told romance with the characters growing while at the resort. Because it is a novella it is difficult to have the depth and complexity that a longer novel would have. As it is written it is Tyler who needed to make all these changes but as far as I could see it was Courtney who needed to do so. The last sentence gives hope to this thought, “Wherever life led them, they would be able to figure it out together.” A sweet story that gives hope to compromise in a loving relationship.

The publisher/author gave me a complimentary ARC of the book which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Courtney is at a matchmaking retreat to appease her mother. But, she's determined not to get matched because her plans are to open up her home for foster children. However, when she realizes that her match is none other than her ex-fiance, she's ready to leave immediately.

Tyler agreed to take his friend's place on the matchmaking retreat since he didn't know what else to do. Recently released from the army due to an injury, he's between careers. But, when he sees Courtney after so many years, he's willing to give it a chance to see where things could lead with her. That is, if they can each forgive the other for the hurts of the past.

What follows is a second chance romance. Each had hurt the other. Each needed to forgive and be forgiven. I liked Tyler. He was willing to put himself out there and forgive. However, I struggled to like Courtney. Her continued doubts about Tyler threatened any reconciliation between them. Consequently, the ending felt forced.

Romance - PG / kisses
Language - PG / clean

Resort to Romance Series
Courtney Bailey cannot believe she's on Joy Island because her mom paid for this trip without telling her. Not just a trip...a matchmaking week. She has other plans awaiting her. She'll enjoy the week on the beach, but forget about any matchmaking.

Tyler Dunn is at loose ends. After an injury, he left the army instead of staying for a desk job. He's going to at least enjoy this week. A vacation on the beach will give him time to think... Well, that's what he thought until he met the woman he'd be spending the week around.

Ginny and Goldie Sterling were given Joy Island in the Bahamas. Now, for two weeks a year, they have a matchmaking week. With almost a hundred percent record so far. These two women are tough to get past if they think they see a match in the making. No matter what the couple says. Great story!

A truly, romantic story of second chance love set on the beautiful Joy Island in the Bahamas. This is another book in the series where the sisters , Ginny and Goldie Sterling have a matchmaking week vacation for singles with a 99.9% success rate. Courtney and her ex-fiance just happen to end up there for the week. I really liked the characters and the fun story. The characters found out that love at age 18 and 20 is so much different ten years later after they both have grown up. It was nice to see they could move on from their hurtful past and open up to each other with the help of the meddling Sterling sisters. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.

Rematched was such a fun, sweet, read. Courtney and Tyler both arrive at a matchmaking weekend at a Bahamas resort not knowing what to expect. They soon discover they are matched with each other. The problem? They are exs. Tyler left for the military, and hasn't had any contact with Courtney for 10 years. Can they both overcome past hurts and forgive one another?

I enjoyed the fact that this was a novella, and was a lighthearted read. I enjoyed the storyline and the characters, including the meddlesome matchmaking sisters.

I was given a copy of this book by the author, and expressed by true and honest opinion in this review.

Sweet Second Chance

This was a sweet second chance at love story. Enjoyable, quick read that had me wanting more!

High school sweethearts get engaged then break up. He joins the military and doesn't contact her again.
Courtney wondered if Goldie and Ginny were pranking her when Tyler turned out to be her match.
I love those two meddlesome match-makers.
Of course Courtney and Tyler find the years have only made the other more attractive. But they'd each gotten so much wrong.
Will they be rematched?

Fun Book!I

Julie Jarnagin is a new author for me to read. I enjoyed this story. She blended this tale with the other books in this collection and it was nicely done!
I loved the story of Courtney and Tyler. It was a fun twist to have these two as teenage sweethearts. Then seeing the struggle they were both still carrying after ten years.
This story showed how communication can help heal misunderstandings, and how people often try to be perfect and meet other's needs at the cost of their own needs.
This was a sweet tale!

Courtney and Tyler were high school sweethearts who broke up and hadn’t spoken in ten years when they are reunited at a matchmaking week. Courtney is still wounded from her break-up with Tyler and believes her future is to foster children by herself. Tyler is looking for direction after losing his military career and while confused about their break-up he is ready to try again. Both struggle to find their way with some help from the elderly matchmakers and a couple of wild pigs.

Was unsure during first chapter if i would like this couple with their bad breakup, misunderstandings and if the matchmaking sisters would put too much pressure on this couple. But i just could not stop reading as i wanted it to work for them but wished the sterling sisters would let this couple do this at their pace as calling them on stage was such a misstep with 2 days left. If they wanted to be together they would make it happen once the week was over.

Really!!!

The female lead was so wishy washy. She was hard to stomach. Love should make you feel strong, not the opposite.
