Courtney is at a matchmaking retreat to appease her mother. But, she's determined not to get matched because her plans are to open up her home for foster children. However, when she realizes that her match is none other than her ex-fiance, she's ready to leave immediately.
Tyler agreed to take his friend's place on the matchmaking retreat since he didn't know what else to do. Recently released from the army due to an injury, he's between careers. But, when he sees Courtney after so many years, he's willing to give it a chance to see where things could lead with her. That is, if they can each forgive the other for the hurts of the past.
What follows is a second chance romance. Each had hurt the other. Each needed to forgive and be forgiven. I liked Tyler. He was willing to put himself out there and forgive. However, I struggled to like Courtney. Her continued doubts about Tyler threatened any reconciliation between them. Consequently, the ending felt forced.
