In Unexpected Match, on a matchmaking week Laine and Devon end up as a match. This is ironic because they see each other daily at the gym back home. When I heard about this series, I immediately pre-ordered all the books! I was not disappointed. The characters and plot are well developed for a novella. I escaped to the island for a couple of hours. It was great!

Cute Story

This story has some cute parts.
This author is new to me and the story connected with the other books in the collection. I love the whole Joy Island theme.

This romance is a fun, quick escape-Devine and Laine attend a matchmaking week on Joy Island. The two get matched up despite seeing each other "back home" in the gym every day and neither is happy about it. A lovely romance, although a novella, the characters and backdrop are well developed. Looking forward to reading the rest of the series- highly recommend to all romance lovers who believe in happily ever afters!

This is a fun premise for a series, and I enjoyed this installment. I liked the irony of getting match with someone you see everyday. Devon was definitely a different kind of hero, and while it took me a bit to warm up to him, I did end up liking him. He and Laine fit well, and she really brings out the best in him. The plot was a little cliche, but it was still a fun escape. 3.5 stars.

Not what I expected

This book wasn’t a Christian romance at all so it didn’t fit with the other books I have read in the series. Disappointed.
No mention of God anywhere in the book and they ended up sharing an apartment before becoming engaged...
and one plus one plus one plus one equals four, not three.

This may be a novella, but it is so sweet and fun to read it is completely worth the time. I loved the characters, Devon and Laine are a little bit funny and their awkwardness when they see each other is cute. What a great way to spend your afternoon :)

The plot was okay. I was just disappointed in the end when they end up sharing an apartment before he's even asked her to marry him.

This one was the best of this series so far. I loved that the story was well rounded, didn't end abruptly and you got a full sense of the characters. I can't wait to read more of her work!

Thinking about heading off to an island vaca? Well, Lanie heads off for a once in a lifetime experience. Unplug and match up for a week of fun in the sun on a tropical island. Devon on the other hand is tricked into going on this little island hookup and when he arrives he is all be set to just be there for the week. Spend it enjoying time in the sun but not really going along so much with all the matching up until he sees who the computer has matched him with. This book was fun to read and enjoyed Lanie and Devon together.

This one was ok, but not my favorite. A number of editing issues near the end of the book were pretty distracting. I also felt the attitude of the male lead character was pretty juvenile. But, I will continue reading this series.
