Dangerous Desires is book two in the Dangerous Beauty trilogy by J.T. Geissinger. To start off with, I just want to say WOW! This author! She writes the most beautiful words! This would be classified as a romantic suspense but I don’t think it matters what genre she is writing in. Her words are just perfection.

dangerous desires j.t. geissinger

This book starts up right where the previous book left off. But here is where I have to say BUT! Because if you think you knew where things were going to go, you are in for a big surprise. This book is one surprise after another. We are introduced to a new character, Killian, whom I’m pretty much in love with I might add.

sail boat with black sails

Eva is probably the bravest woman I have ever read about. The love she and Naz have for one another is breath taking. There is nothing these two won’t sacrifice for one another. What I love, though, is that they never lose the humor that they share with one another. They could be in the most stressful of situations and that banter is still there.

sexy times

Naz is every bit the alpha, I’m the man and I’m going to protect my woman mentality. He goes nose to nose with Eva more than once because she will never again relinquish her power to any man, no matter how much she loves him. She wants to stand by Naz’s side, not behind him. She wants to bring down the man who forced her to live with pain and torture the last seven years and she will be a part of the process.

“I know this is the only heaven a man like me will be granted, so much more than I could ever dream or deserve.”

Naz also has all the words. That man! I swooned so much it’s a wonder I didn’t pass out.

couple cuddles in bath tub

I really can’t say much more, other than to prepare yourselves for a crazy, wild ride. And prepare yourselves to sigh, swoon, gasp, smile, maybe even laugh out loud. This book/series has every single thing that I love. But I really have to again give all the credit to this amazing author for writing all the words. Yes, there is a cliff hanger. There is one more book to go, Dangerous Games, due out later this year. It can’t get here fast enough.

She’s all there is. This is all there is, this powerful thing that lives between us, this fierce and elemental force I’m no more able to control than I could control gravity.

It's a rare dang occasion when I enjoyed the second book in a trilogy even more than the first, but man. I devoured this one!

I've been utterly antsy to get my hands on the second installment of this trilogy ever since the jaw dropping cliffhanger in book one. Naz and Eva completely stole my heart in the last book, but it was nothing compared to what I experienced with their story in this one.

Eva was ready to make the ultimate sacrifice to protect the man she loves, even willingly hand herself back to the devil again. But just as she's determined to protect Naz, he's just as determined to protect her. But in order to protect the woman he's fallen so hard for, he needs to find her. And it's extremely hard to find someone when they go through a lot of trouble to ensure that they can't be found.

I don't want to give too much away about the plot in this book, so I won't say anything about it. What I will tell you is that there's a secondary character that was introduced here that I'm fairly certain I'd give an ovary to get a book for. Talk about your enigmatic and mysterious characters, because OMG! I NEED.

Eva and Naz are just as potent together. Their cute joking insults and their undying devotion for each other is captivating. You can't help but fall for these two. They are both so fiercely protective of each other. I love that Eva is no one's victim. This woman is a survivor and a fighter where Naz is a natural protector. And together, they're absolutely incendiary.
I’m in love. I’m so fucking in love. If I lose her, it will end me.

I devoured this book in one sitting! I couldn't put it down. And twist after delicious twist, it continued to own me until the very last page. Now if I could just survive the unbearable wait until the conclusion.

Talk about being on the edge of my seat! I don't think I have devoured a book so fast!

This starts right were we left off in book one. So yes, you gotta read book one first and this is not the last in the series. This is a trilogy. If you aren't much of a fan of trilogy's, I promise this one is worth it. This is such a consuming story I wish I could find more books like this one.

I don't want to give anything away, so I'm just going to say this is a romantic suspense story that rides the edge of cliff the whole way through. The heroine is in a very dangerous situation and the hero is desperate to protect her.

I swear there were moments in this book where I could hear the music in the background that warns you something is about to happen and I had to brace for impact.

I just have to mention that I absolutely love the addition of the new character. I'm so intrigued by him. I will pray to the author Gods that he survives in this series and gets his own book.

The third book can not come fast enough! I absolutely loved this!

Oh my gosh! This author has done it again! She pulled me so deep into this story I wasn’t even aware of my own surroundings! The drama, the suspense, the build up was incredible!

description

This picks up right where Dangerous Beauty left off. What follows is a chaotic unfolding of danger and drama as Eva fights to protect herself. Her innate ability to read people helps her to discern the murky character that holds her captive but fails her when it comes to another. There are some intense scenes so surprising, as well as shocking, that I found myself mentally looking around every corner afterwards.

description

Naz is left scrambling to figure out what is going on and in the process we’re given some amazing images of how is mind works when it comes to protecting Eva. It’s the kind of stuff that’s my bread and jam. I loved his protective mindset.

”Tell him if Eva’s in anything other than perfect health when I get there, I’ll cut off his arms and legs and hang him on the wall and name him Art. And then I’ll kill his entire family, all his friends, his pets, and everyone he’s ever worked with. And then I’ll burn down his house and take a rocket launcher to that f---ing ship and send it to the bottom of the ocean with him lashed to the mast, and his bloody stumps will attract all kinds of hungry sea creatures who will eat his god—mn guts out and lay their eggs inside his skull and gnaw on his bones. And then I’ll drag up his picked-over carcass and cremate it and make urinal cakes form his ashes and p!ss on his remains every day for the rest of my life.”

And when this couple finally find a place of temporary peace, it was beautiful! They are just so good together, each emotionally healing the other. I loved knowing right here and now that they were meant to be together.

”I love her so much in this moment, everything I was before is incinerated. I came into this room one man, but I know I’ll emerge from it another, a baptism of love so hot it’s a fire that scorches me to the bone and leaves whatever I was before a smoking pile of ashes to be blown away by the wind.”

description

Like the first book, we have the fun banter between Naz and Eva. Their constant teasing was a soothing balm to the danger that surrounded them. It’s a constant roller coaster ride of wit, deep emotion, and the horrors they face. What was already an amazing series was pushed into the stratosphere when the Killian element was introduced. I’ll leave that plotline alone since I don’t want to spoiler it more than to say…scary, sexy, fun, interesting…more please?

description

This has a fast pace to it. Once you start, you will not want to stop. The rhythm is wicked fast with sharp edges to keep you on your toes. And then…bam! Yep, cliffhanger. At least this time I knew it was coming. But gah! Now I’ve gotta wait for book 3!

I very much enjoyed the first book in this series, Dangerous Beauty, well except for that cliffy at the end...didn't much enjoy that :P

So I am glad we finally got to see what happens next, waiting is not really my strong suit. I am not gonna share too much about it though, because I really don't want to spoiler it for anyone else.

What I can say is that I absolutely loved this second book...maybe even a tad bit more than the first. Which might be because of a new mysteriously awesome character I was introduced to :P

No worries though... I am still deeply in love with Naz, he is so swoon-worthy.

I spend a major part of this book on the edge of my seat and the other part laughing my ass off. Thankfully the awesome back and forth banter is still present in this book ;)

It's just too bad that now the waiting starts all over again !! Let's just hope time flies.

Book 2 of this super sexy "Romantic Suspense" Trilogy.
Just as engaging as book one, such a fast read for me and it is a real nail biter at the beginning.

And......
Argh, silent scream we have yet another cliffhanger!!!
That's the bad thing about being the middle book of a trilogy, you are starting off mid-story and finishing without a satisfying ending either.
I really need that next book NOW!!!!

Also........little tidbit.......
there is a really interesting love triangle development that starts here in book 2.
Killian❤ Eva❤ Naz.
It comes with some scorching hot scenes and plenty of action and adventure.
TOTALLY LOVED IT.
J.T. Geissinger is essentially one of my favorite authors, her book "Midnight Valentine"is one of my all time favorite reads.

Oh my god!!! First and foremost, I went into this entire series completely blind. I’ve been a fan of JTG for years and decided to try this series based on her name alone. I’mso glad I did, but I had no idea this was a cliffy. I need the next book NOW!

Oh my god! Things happened in the book that I never in a million years though I’d actually enjoy, yet the characters had me wrapped up in them from the very beginning.

In typically BBF hoarder fashion, I fall for the villain.....again. Hahahaha It’s a fast paced thrilling adventure and I am so here for it. I’m officially in countdown mode, waiting for book 3.

Here’s what I loved:
Eva is such an amazing character. She’s been through hell and back, but is so strong and so resilient. I couldn’t help rooting for and loving her even more than book one.

Nasir is challenged in the installment and proves to be a man who’s ready for the job. Both characters are consistent and entertaining.

The storyline and new characters were the real winner here. I am in love love love!!

I was so excited to get this to finish Naz and Eva's story.... then it ends with another @#$*@*@*@ cliffy!!!!!!!!!

This part was really good, and I don't want to give anything away. This one starts off right where the first one ended. There's more drama, new bad guys plus Dimitri, hot sex and then the stupid cliffy which was worse than the first one.

I need the next part NOW!

OMG ⭐️

First of all, you know how much I love J.T Geissinger, right? You know how excited I got when I was granted this arc too, right? Well, then maybe you could explain to me why I couldn’t get invested in the story and why it took me 4 days to read a book I was supposed to devour in a couple of hours. 🤔

As always, I sneaked a peek at the last chapter and found out this too ends in a horrible cliffhanger. I got pretty mad at that, since I hate waiting for the next installment. I get disconnected from the story, forget important facts and so on. 😔 If I had known, I would have waited for all three books in the series to be published.

I don’t think I can give you too many details about it, except for that fact that Eva gets kidnapped by Killian , this beautiful bastard, whom you can’t help falling for. He’s cruel, mysterious, ruthless, caring if he wants too, calculated, a mercenary. He has, however, committed a huge crime and it might be difficult to forgive him for it, but he’ll also make you swoon and giggle a little, so...

The whole book is basically a suspenseful chase, thrilling, heart-stopping, but once Naz gets to meet the infamous Killian, you’ll definitely laugh at their pissing contest, a testosterone battle full of creative threats. What else could you expect from two alphas infatuated with the same bhrèagha woman?

So, if you happen to have missed book 1, I would highly recommend you to wait until November and read the whole series then. Trust me, it’s worth the wait.

"Killian," I whisper, disoriented.
"At your service."

Wowwww I already thought Naz wasn't shit and then to further rub it in Killian comes blazing onto the scene like a goddamn meteorite, literally making Naz look like the shit on the soles of my shoes in comparison. Naz's POVs were almost completely useless here. He's separated from Eva for the first half of the book and has no hope of finding her bc like I said, bad at his job. Adding in a hot superspy to the equation wasn't smart bc unlike Naz, he actually was in Eva's league.

Eva's banter with Killian: hilarious, amazing, riddled with sexual tension.
Naz's banter with Killian: hilarious, amazing, long lost brothers finding each other.
Eva's banter with Naz: cringey, placating a bruised ego, just bleh.
Final verdict: Killian is saving this series, brings out the best in both characters, and is clearly the hotter man.

He considers me with a look of mild disgust. "So this is what love does? Turns you into a blathering moron with a flair for melodrama and zero sense of self-preservation? I'd rather keep my dignity, thanks. This love nonsense is pathetic."

"You're taller than I expected."
"I'm exactly the same height as you are."
"I know. You sounded shorter on the phone."

"I hope you deserve her. To be honest, you sound a wee bit unstable. Are you sure you're good enough for her? You might have to convince me. After everything she's been through, she deserves the best."

OMG I read this book in a day... edge-of-your-seat suspense, nail-biting action, a love so strong and sure and characters to die for... all the things I LOVE in a great book!

This series is not a standalone and has huge cliffhangers at the end of books 1 and 2 and it's SO hard to wait for the next in the series, but the anticipation is SO worth the wait. This was the perfect continuation from book 1 and answered some questions while leaving us with an OMG I CAN'T BELIEVE SHE LEFT US LIKE THAT ENDING!

Dangerous Desires picks up where book 1 left us... Naz is looking to rescue the woman he loves while Eva is trying to protect Naz by returning to her ex Dimitri. The danger and mystery is thrilling and I can't help but feel that there is something beneath Killian that made me want to know him more! That ending... OMG THAT ENDING! GAH!

Dangerous Games is my most anticipated book of 2019 and I can't wait to find out how it all ends!

Omg if I thought book 1 was awesome Dangerous Beauty
Book 2 is awesome sauce with Double the dose of Sexiness.
Eva is gone!!
Naz is out of his mind, going legit crazy to find her.
And then we meet Killian. Holy Irish Smokes!! He oozes sex, smells like danger and his hands can crush Eva, but choose to save her.
Their scenes were so thrilling and agitated, I could feel the tension.
Of course Aiden Snow does an excellent job with various accents and Lidia Dornet is so talented.
I loved this so much.
Already dove head first in book 3

🎧 Audiobook Review 🎧

I'm super tired so I'm not leaving a full review here....
It was 3 stars for the story and 5 stars for the audible narration so, 4 stars.

I feel like this trilogy could've been only a duet... This book was funny like the first, with more action due to new characters, and it distracted me during my busy day, but it was kinda of pointless in the full scheme of the story and it dragged a little.

I'm not saying anything else, because i probably spaced out a lot during this one.

Of to finish this trilogy tomorrow anyway.

The continuation of Naz and Eva's story is another nail bitter! This woman is tough as nails. The love and trust they have for each other is a amazing. Eva's plan goes very far awry and she is caught in the crosshairs in a situation that is not of her making. Naz (and Conner) to the rescue. Another crazy cliffy has me checking NetGalley daily for the final book!

So, this is a book where first Killian (Liam Black's twin) appears...LOL
Damn, i've been reading some books backwards, it would seem...but still, what a thrill

Naz and Eva, now there's a love one would only dream about ever experiencing...

and the twist with which book 2 ended only brought another level of angst to the table...

so, book 3, let's finish this...*wink*

4 Stars!

This book kicks off to where Dangerous Beauty ends, and although I love the first book, considering that it was actually one of my best reads this year as It captures my interest and a real page turner... I cannot say the same for this book.

This book feels just like a stretch of what is to happen on the third book. Nothing significant happened here to be honest. Just a competition between two egotistical men.

The most nail biting experience I got here was actually the part where I reached the ending. So, I can guarantee that the next book will be a whole lot better.

Still, I recommend this book as it is part of the whole series and new characters were introduced that might play a big role in defeating the villain, that is Dimitri for the grand finale that will be available on December.

Dangerous Desires picks up right where Dangerous Beauty left off and totally hits the ground running. And let me tell you, this author leaves no stone unturned. You think you have an idea of where this story is going to go, but I promise you, you don’t. When it comes to Naz, there is no limit as to how far Eva will got to keep him safe; even if that means putting her own life in danger. But what Eva, doesn’t know is that she has entered the most dangerous game of cat and mouse that she’s ever played. The stakes are higher than ever and Eva and Naz will be tested in ways they can’t begin to imagine. Will love prevail and save the day??? There’s only one way to find out….

Dangerous Desires was a quick and thrilling read for me. There was no way that I could not devour this story. I mean these characters sucked me in instantly and held me captive the entire time. Once again, I am blown away by the devotion and love that Naz and Eva have for one another. Some may say that love will make you weaker, but when it comes to these two, their love only makes them stronger. As long as they can keep the faith, their is nothing that they can’t make it through.

Dangerous Desires was everything I could want and need in a romantic suspense. There was danger and mystery. There were moments that shocked you and moments that thrilled you. There was romance, steam, and of course swoon. Like I said, Dangerous Desires had it all. This book kept me on my toes from the very first page, right down to the very last. My only complaint is that the story is over and I need to know what happens next!!!

This is the 2nd book in the Dangerous Beauty trilogy, and like with book one, I struggled to finish. The writing is decent, but I still didn’t connect with the characters and found nothing unique or memorable about the story. The 1st half of the book was the most interesting part with the introduction of Eva’s kidnapper Killian. He’s a dark and complicated character and the only reason I finished. But I have to say that having all the male characters falling at Eva’s feet was very tiresome. What’s so special about Eva that every man falls in love with her? You won’t be able to find out because it’s never explained. She must be magical, because it only takes a couple of days for it to happen.

The competitive banter between Naz and Killian was really annoying as well. Almost as annoying as all the dialogue and sex scenes between Naz and Eva. It’s a bad sign when a reader doesn’t want to read the scenes between the hero and heroine.

Like with book one, this one ends with a cliffhanger. Sadly, I’m not interested enough to continue.

Any book by J.T. Geissinger is a delight for me so I was particularly glad to get this arc from the author recently. Since the last book in this trilogy, Dangerous Beauty, ended in a cliffhanger, I couldn’t wait to read this one. Two lovers on the run, more than one bad guy after them, and so much action and romance kept me turning pages and loving every minute. Just a heads up, since this is a sequel, there’s bound to be a few spoilers coming up.

Part two of this trilogy, Dangerous Desires, starts immediately following the second book. This means Eva has left Naz behind in order to keep him safe from her controlling and all around horrible villain of an ex-boyfriend. She goes to meet the ex and things are not what they seem in any way shape or form. Meanwhile Naz, still very much recovering in the hospital from many injuries, is going ballistic. He leaves the hospital in search of Eva. It would seem that Eva, while trying to shield Naz, has only managed to take them both out of the frying pan and straight into the fire. A new opponent is introduced by the name of Killian. He more than covers his share of intrigue and violence. He was also the twist that ramped up this book immensely. Since this book takes place on a boat a big part of the time, there was plenty of high seas drama as well as on land drama. And while there’s plenty of apart time for the couple this time around, when they do get together it’s explosive.

The characters of Eva and Naz, (aka Barney from Geissinger’s Bad Habit series) are both fully realized by the author. Eva has been through so much and has been traumatized for years by her ex and truly deserves to find a good man. She finds that in Naz, a former bodyguard, now a lethal agent working for Conner from this author’s Wicked Games series. I love how she has included characters from her other series. Naz, as well as Conner, has the credentials to keep Eva safe, but she decides to do what she thinks is right in protecting Naz instead. Kinda wanted to shake her for this-not going to lie. Tabby, from Wicked Games, is also along for the ride and I loved catching up with her as well. Killian was a problem for me. He will make you extremely mad, but ultimately I found myself hoping for him to have his own book. He seriously needs one!

The romance between Eva and Naz, of course, ramps up in this installment. There’s something to be said for romance and sensual times during extreme danger or distress and Eva and Naz were definitely up for the challenge. They do have off the charts chemistry and banter for days as well. Geissinger does banter like Santa does Christmas. She is in her element when writing banter that’s for sure!

This book does end in another cliffhanger which really couldn’t be helped due to the circumstances the characters are in. I didn’t have as big of a problem this time since I knew what was coming. I am really looking forward to the final book in November. If you dislike cliffhangers you might want to wait until then to pick up this series. They do go in order and can’t standalone so keep that in mind. I highly recommend this series and book to adult romantic suspense readers and romance readers in general. It was such a good book and kept me enthralled throughout. This author continues to amaze me with her wonderful writing and storytelling skills.

Dangerous Desires is the second part of Nasir and Eva's story. It's not a stand-alone novel and like book one, it ends with a cliffhanger. That cliffhanger was the best thing that happened in the book. You see, there is a love triangle of sorts. As you can read from the blurb there is 'the darkly seductive spy who abducted her now has more than business on his mind". Eva spent so much time with him and I got the feeling that he was too much on our face and just another obstacle to Eva and Nasir's story. The majority of the book was slow and I kept waiting for something good to happen. I don't consider Eva's rescue from said kidnapper to be exciting because the big bad is Dimitri and they did very little in their quest to take him down. I feel like the trilogy should have been a duet, with slightly more pages. I will finish the series because there is only one book left and I don't like leaving things unfinished. I hope that the kidnapper will realize that he is after the wrong woman and he will stop been brought up every 5 seconds. I was not satisfied with this book.

“The strongest steel is forged by fire, and so are the strongest souls. Your light is so much more beautiful because of your darkness. Your heart is so much more open because it’s been hollowed out by knives. And though I surely would’ve loved the younger, more innocent you, I adore you even more because all your broken pieces sing to mine.”

Oh my my... I loved this one even more so then the first book. Naz wakes from the hospital to find that Eva is no longer there and moves heaven and earth to go find her. Eva thinks she is saving Naz by leaving to go back to Demetri freely who is threatening to kill him if she doesn’t. On her way to dock she is taken by Killian who thinks she is Demetri’s wife and in on his sick demented ways. He learns what is really going on but starts to fall for Eva in the process of saving her life and keeping her safe. I actually really liked Killian at the end and kinda hope he gets his own story. It was amusing to see him and Naz go all alpha male over Eva.
I cant’ wait for the next one!
I’m really enjoying this author’s books.

A scary and violent beginning and I have never been so protective of any other character. As Eva is lost to Dimitri, I loved the separate drama that unfolded. The events with Eva on the ship and the ones with Naz (after his accident) were so well crafted. And when they came together again, it was pure magic.
I HAVE to mention here that I was fascinated by Killian (broody, murderous and disturbing, but with those sad eyes that are looking for love) and expected a love triangle to happen (which I absolutely hate). Eva and Naz go through a separation phase and I admit, I missed their casual and witty one on ones and mind-blowing lovemaking.
Naz’s alpha behavior comes to light way more than the first book and at times, he is just so freaking adorable with his overprotective nature. Eva balances him perfectly with her tender heart and the go-getter attitude despite all the dangers lurking in the shadows. There is a lot more chase in this book and that built the suspense up very well.
Geissinger makes me laugh even at the most anxious situations and curl my toes with all the brilliant romance she writes. I can never get enough of her stories.
There is a cliffhanger (obviously) at the end that positively surprised me and here starts the wait for the next book. Gahh!

Nooo!!! How is she so stupid!!! I know her head wasn't in the right place but still she knows the Devil better than anyone else.
A good second book in the series. Eva is a good hearted person who is a little too trusting so she ends up in more trouble and danger than someone else who has gone through what she has. Only problem is it's not just her who is in trouble. Hundreds and thousands of lives are in danger.
Eva now has two men who are both in love with her and another who just wants her back. He doesn't know what love is. I'm hopeful with the other man monitoring the area they get her back soon but if they did there wouldn't be a third book.
This is a good series but some of this book I think was too much to prolong the story. Personal I feel it should have been wrapped up in two but I'm going to read the third book and maybe I will change my mind so I'm not taking another star rating for that.
This is for adults only. More adult situations in the second than the first.

Rated 4.5 Stars

Dangerous Desires upped the ante in so many ways especially the intensity. The suspense aspect is more intense than the first book so too are the sex scenes and Naz and Eva's relationship. I loved where the author took this installment and cannot wait to see how it all ends especially after that cliffy. I definitely recommend this series.
