Right and A Wrong Way to Love A Dope Boy

Rate this book
Raven and Rogue were the best of friends. When you saw one, you saw the other. The two were damn near inseparable until one life-changing event had their worlds crashing down. Unbeknownst to the two, something dramatic happened in both of their lives causing their lives to go on different paths. Each holding a grudge, they moved on with their lives trying hard to forget about the other.

David “Rogue” Wright lives his life in the fast lanes. He climbed his way to the top solidifying his place in the dope world. He had it money, power, and a girl by his side that held him down when he had nothing. Everything was perfect until a tragedy had him crossing paths with Raven again.

Raven Woods learned to put her past and the tragedy she endured behind her. Using her pen to release her emotions, Raven became a successful author and finally learned to heal. She had the life she always dreamed of living and never had a reason to look back. Until a death sent her back to the City and hurt she had left behind.

With Raven and Rogue being thrown back into each other’s lives, they have to deal with the betrayal each of them felt the other had inflicted. Once the hurt was gone, the love came back causing more harm than good. Trying their best to fight their feelings for each other, the connection they had made it impossible. With Rogue having a girl and an enemy lurking in the shadows, it makes it almost impossible for the two best friends to give into the love they have for each other. Will these two finally find their way to the love they had hidden inside for years or has too much time passed and the lives they lead today become too much for them to handle?

Nope

Ok first who else wanted to jump in the book and drag Raven
She got on every last one of my nerves always running and don't want to listen to anybody
Then the cousin!! When is it ever OK to be on what she was on with Rouge
Cousin or not there's just somethings you just don't do
The relationship with his mom was confusing cause i didn't know if it was someone off the street or his mom
Why didn't they address San death with Raven i think her foolishness also contributed to her death if she just would've stayed and not run away (again) she would've heard the conversation San would've gotten the money and went about her business

♥️♥️♥️

Although I have read this book already. I had to reread it again. My life right now is revolving around my first love and the connection we still have. We were torn apart due to my family moving to another state when I was young. We finally found each other after 20+yrs. The love is still there but there are obstacles in our way that we are working out. I’m praying for a happy ending as well.

Ok

Latoya Nicole books are always hit or miss with me. I’ve read books by her that I absolutely love, but I’ve also read books that I didn’t like or couldn’t get through all the way. This is one of those books. It’s like I read up to Slim’s chapter and I was done and had to call it quits. I didn’t particularly like San because I guess that’s how her character was made to make me feel, but I felt like she should not have been the bad guy here. Then every time Rogue said something about raven he always had to add “but Ik she don’t like me like that” it got so annoying, and then she would do the same. They were grown and i was just at the point where I’m like just tell each other how u feel for Pete’s sake. Idk why I was suppose to be for rogue and raven when she basically came in like a side hoe and started having sex with somebody else’s man. That wasn’t cool at all and then she looked stupid doing all the extra stuff to get him. Plus I could see where this is headed, San gone get pregnant by Slim and try to put the baby on rogue, he gone be stupid to believe it, but raven gone get pregnant by him for real. I don’t like that playing with babies thing like I’m over it. It’s like the go to plot for the authors.

Good Book

I love the dynamics between Rouge and Raven. I hate that Raven was assaulted by half of the basketball team and ended up pregnant from the incident. Latoya, you never did tell us what happened to the baby. It was sad when Tim died in Rouge's arms and you didn't say what happened to Trippy after he was caught. It was so funny how things ended up working out for the basketball team, principal, Head, Slim, and Hank and sad for San. I'm not liking the fascination that Coi had with Rouge because anything with her cousin's man should have been off limits. I'm glad that Rouge and Raven eventually got their HEA.

Best friends and lovers

I'm going to start off by telling you if you've never read a book by LaToya Nicole you are missing out. Her books will have people looking at you like your crazy because you are laughing so hard. This book was hella crazy. I'm not going to lie Coi would have caught these hands because I don't play them type of games cousin or no cousin. San was to messy and couldn't think for herself. Raven answer to everything was run. Rouge was your typical male. I highly recommend that you read this standalone.

True Love wins!

I loved this book. It was a different type of story from this author. It flowed well and was interesting from the beginning. I enjoyed Rogue’s character although he unintentionally had his flaws. Raven didn’t deserve what she was put through. San was so selfish and self centered that she didn’t have room to love anyone but herself. This story proved that what’s meant for you is for you.

Great standalone

Rogue would do anything for Raven they both believed the other abandoned them and held resentment. Raven was taken advantage of while Rogue was watching a close friend die in his arms and getting arrested for attempted robbery. Ravens mother never wanted her sending her to live with her sister. Raven and Rogue come face to face at Ravens mom funeral. And there story picks up where the left off.#214

Him and Raven relationship was too funny. It reminded me of one of my exs. I love that Raven got her happy ending.

Never disappointed

Latoya Nicole never disappoints. This story was everything. I'm glad Rogue and Raven got their happy ending. It was messed up that San had to go through what she went through for them to be together. She was down for Rogue but his heart was with Raven. She didn't stand a chance. I know a lot of people could relate to what San went through when it came to loving someone that loved someone else. I would highly recommend this book.

OMG!

LaToya never fails to come through with the 🔥🔥🔥. I absolutely loved Rogue and Raven. Raven and Lady were a complete mess. They had me laughing throughout the book. I couldn’t believe that Coi actually thought that she could get away with her scheming, but I didn’t expect her to take her own life. Latoya’s writing is 💣 as heck and I can’t wait to read her next book.

Shocked!

I can honestly say I’m shocked! This has to be the most normal book you’ve ever wrote lol! There wasn’t one off individual anywhere! Coi doesn’t count. I still loved it as much as the rest! Raven was giving me though! We were getting ready to throw hands. Running away like a little kid smh! I liked how the tables turned on them though. Coi was a trip. Incredible job

OMG...When Love Conquers All!!

Raven & Rouge we’re destined for each other and what they endured proved it!! Raven was dealt a bad hand and made the beat of it. Slim and San were idiots for underestimating Rouge!! CPI was a ride or die friend and was hilarious!! Rouge’s relationship with his Mom was beautiful!! That intro for next series was everything, can’t wait!!!!!

Loved it. Coi is a damn fool lol. I really would like to read more about Geno though. He seem so laid back n ruthless too. Even though Raven was getting on my nerves cause of how she talked to Rogue mom n ran, I'm still glad she got her man. Can't wait for your next series. I'm sure I'll be dying laughing. 🔥🔥🔥🔥

First read

This is my first time reading a book by this author and I have to say I couldn’t put the book down...all the twist and turns I was like omg...the one thing I didn’t like was how Raven kept running away without getting all the information first! I can’t wait to catch up on all of Latoya’s books I’m very picky on who books I read but she kept my interest! 😜

Never Disappoint

I can go on and on about this book. Coi is definitely a true best friend. She held her girl down and never gave up on her cousin/sister’s love story. The back and forth was irking me but glad they got it right. Latoya Nicole Williams you are apart of my top 3 authors. Keep penning these bangers. Thank you. Can’t wait for Phantom and Blaze!

Beautiful

I love that each chapter was a song title that went with the situation at the present time and for some reason I kept singing Jaheim gotta find my way back for R&R. Definitely a good read and not too crazy like Blaze Phantom or Schitzo. Beautiful love story

That book was bomb as hell. That's the only way Toy writes her books and I enjoy each and every one of them. I can't wait for Blaze and Phanthom to come out I know that shit is going to be crazy. Both them mf's are crazy as hell. By the way bomb as play list.

Whew chileeee

I just want to say San was dumb and a h*e. Slim was a snake and greedy af! Head was just ehhh. Raven was making me mad throughout the book and so was Rogue. It was a little face pace, but it was still a great story to tell!

I think for once I did not like many of the characters. At the end of the day it was a well written novel but. . . Raven rubbed me the wrong way. She expected this man to know how she was feeling and why, but friendships nor relationships work this way.

I really enjoyed this book even though at times Raven got on my nerves. At times I felt like Rogue was to good for to be playing games with. I’m glad they worked things out.
