In the first installment, we were introduced to Boss and Minnie, a couple who’s been together since their teenage years. However, we quickly learn that their marriage isn’t as picture perfect as outsiders may think. Lies, outsiders, infidelity, and insecurities join them on their marriage journey, causing much chaos and confusion in the Davis household.
At the end of book one, Minnie catches Boss in an uncompromising position with someone he told her was just a friend. Is this true, or has he found love elsewhere, now that his wife is pushing him away and punishing him for things he did years ago? And if he DID indeed find love in another woman’s arms, would he be completely wrong, considering Minnie is not so innocent herself?
In the finale, secrets will be revealed, the power of love will be tested, and we will find out if love really is enough to conquer everything thrown this couple’s way.
I loved this series it was very well written. The way Boss loved Charity was beautiful especially how he understood his past infidelities was the reason Charity was so insecure. My heart broke for Serenity she endured so much I was happy Marlon came into her life and helped her love herself. I wanted to cut Viola she so jealous because Charity was the mother and wife she wished she could have been. Excellent job.
This Series was Amazing, and I can honestly say that it has been one of my favorite stories. It was REAL. There were moments that I had to take a break from reading because the domestic violence part really touched me so much so that I almost had a panic attack. I am glad that you touched on things that we as women have either seen or been through ourselves and in my case my mom was murdered by someone she tried to get away from. GREAT JOB!!!!!!
I laughed, got mad, and even cried with this book ! This book was excellent! It was never a dull moment in the entire series! Breanna Morgen is a very good writer and her stories are good from beginning to end! A true page Turner and an excellent read!
I was a little worried about these characters. I'm glad that Reese for what he deserved. Kendrick was a nut job and all over the place. I loved Boss! He conducted himself as a true boss. His wife, I'm glad she got herself together. Good series.
I can't lie at the beginning of the book I wasn't sure if it was going to hold my interest but when I say you pulled me in and had me hooked it mean it! It exposed some real life situations most people are afraid to talk about. I loved it!!
