Brilliant

This is the absolute best in the series so far! I have enjoyed them all but felt lacked in the magic department. This has plenty of magic in it and I read it in one day. The characters feel very real and being middle aged their experience, knowledge and maturity make it more believable. Again I wish the stories were longer as there are plenty of places the plot and new characters could be developed. A great mystery combined with the supernatural and a well paced book make a great read to escape with. X

So much better than past books!

This series has been gradually improving but this time the author has hit the sweet spot. Finally, the witches are actually involved in the paranormal and a pretty good story it is. It's a cozy with a happy ending, but now it's a cozy with some substance. There is quite a bit of character development and a new character or two, and the plot is interesting with some witchy skills needed to solve the mystery. Good work!

Lovely thought Kennedy Chase, <“bookstores,” Amber said, looking around. “There’s something so soothing about them, don’t you think? They’re so quiet as if they’re not saying anything, but at the same time, there are so many voices constantly filling the room. Stories from all ages and from everywhere across the room. I don’t see how anyone can believe magic doesn’t exist when they’re surrounded by books”.> 1st B&B guest is a wizard lost on the dark side. There is a body. There is also a demon. Amber brings out something in Hope. Dario's bookshop has seen better days. This was a bit darker with more magic then the last book. I'm still enjoying this series.

Strange goings on in Hemlock Cove

Grace & Dario must match wits with first a strange Warlock and then an otherworldly demon in order to save themselves as well as the life of an innocent girl and Hemlock Cove itself. This was a fast paced, suspenseful mystery involving all the Angelo clan as well as Dario and Zach.

Darkness settles in cove

This one is well written. I was way off track as to solving the mystery. Hope has entenerd the story as a solid character . One question I have is I thought there were only the 3 bedrooms but now it seems as if there are more. Is that called blank licence or did I misunderstand? Anyway great read!

What kind of name is Dario?

This is a good series of books if you're into witches. I had to rename Dario to Derrick.

Loved this book!!!

This is the book with the most action, the most use of witch power by Dario, Grace, and Hope and the most talk of demons and dimensions.

Read and enjoy.

The Cliffside Guesthouse is finally ready for its first guest in decades. However, I'm not quite sure they are ready for this particular guest. When Baron Vasey enters the house he brings a feeling of darkness with him. As the plot thickens Grace & Dario become locked into a desperate race to identify & banish the evilness overwhelming them. The intensity builds as the story unfolds, climaxing in a riveting conclusion. I absolutely could not put this book down! Hail to Kennedy Chase for another great addition to the Witches of Hemlock Cove series.

The dark is rising

Awesome. Opening the Inn again might be a mistake in her opinion bur she is overruled. Their first guest is secretative and elusive. When strange things start happening and then he is murdered it is very hard for her not to say I Told You So. However this wouldn't return the Inn to it's peaceful state. To do so she must find out what their guest was up to. Can she do so before the darkness takes over? Great plot with lots of magic and a terrific new character who blends in well with the others. Can't wait to read more.

A well-written cozy mystery!

Another satisfying cozy mystery by Kennedy Chase. I like this series a lot. The main characters are truly decent people, mature and experienced without being old. There are modest romances happening. There is a young person in this story, Amber, who brought the reclusive sister, Hope, back to the world of the more involved. The demon scenes had me on the edge of my seat. The story concluded in a satisfying way. Now I'm off to read the next one!
