Rate this book
Down on her luck, a young Misani Hampton is adamant about creating a life she desperately feels she deserves. Life’s struggles have toughened her up some, but not having a dollar to her name ignites a fire under her that will take years to extinguish. Mastering the art of hustling early on, Misani took the game and ran with it. When an opportunity she refuses to pass up presents itself, her life changes for the better. That is until she finds herself exactly where she needs to be, but at the wrong time, leaving her to make yet another difficult decision. Irresistibly attractive Zari Byrd lives by the words “use what you got to get what you want.” For as long as she could remember, men have flocked to her striking beauty and lethal tongue. However, everything that looks good on the outside is sometimes rotten on the inside and ruins everything it touches… friendships included. Quiet and reserved, Keegan Cole has a knack for making money any way she can. She’s addicted to the rush it gives her. Scheming her way through life has been a breeze until one bet places her life on the line. Keegan is hardly expecting to get out of the jam she’s in, especially with the assistance from an utterly sexy stranger. Devoted to providing the best life possible for her child, Envie Lee has no room in her life for love. As the medical bills pile up, she’s forced to make a crucial decision that goes against every moral she has. When it comes to her child, she’ll sacrifice it all… including the vow, she made to herself. Handsome and well-mannered Carlo Pryce, career-driven NBA player Urban Wright, and street savvy club owners Ramzi and Greyson Creed are all men of different calibers. While their intentions are pure with the women who pursue them, they’re blindsided by the ladies insatiable need for securing more than a few bags. Unintentionally, the men fall for who they “thought” the ladies were, only to become conscious of the fact that there’s no room in their life for love… only funds and lots of them.

This book took me on a journey of ups and downs😩

It follows 4 friends Misani, Zari, Keegan, and Envie. They are all battling things within but the one thing they have in common is the chase for money. But when is it ever gonna be enough?

Lawd! By the time I made it to the end of this book, my chest hurt. These girls just can’t seem to catch a break!

BriAnn knows she can get me hooked on characters. I want them to win so bad. To find love, peace, and happiness. Idk how many more bad decisions they gotta make to get there but I can’t wait to read more in the next book!

Wow!

This book was totally different from BriAnn’s previous works, but as always, she came through with the fire 🔥. I was shocked to see what her brother was involved in at the end. Misani was and the girls had a strong, unbreakable bond that I loved. Keenan’s mom should have just been taken out. I can’t wait to read about the happenings of these young ladies and the men that wanted to be a part of their lives.

Misani, Keegan, Envie, and Zari!

Zari was wild and outspoken.
Misani more reserved and that go getter.
Keegan is just as mischievous as they come.
Envie is to herself and needs some more street knowledge.

The twist that came within these last few chapters had me literally cursing out loud. I cannot believe Malachi role in this street mess.

Carlo… his sister. Misani wow so many questions.

I am literally speechless writing this review 😂

Can you say drama?! BriAnn snatched my edges with this one I’m still trying to glue them back on! This book was overflowing with tea, and baby, my cup runneth over. Grab your wine and brace yourself, because keeping up with these four ladies is a wild ride. I couldn’t put it down the twists, the secrets, the heartbreak it had me hooked from start to finish. Now I’m over here shaking in my boots, preparing for the next book!

Great story

This was such a good story. Misani and her crew were straight up hustlers. You love to see girl bosses. But when it rains it pours and all the ladies had mess popping off in the end. Let’s hope they can bounce back.

Loved it!

Ms. BriAnn has done it again. This book was really good. Took me through the life of 4 girls trying to make some money to survive. I really like Misani she wasn’t all about self and her heart was just huge. I hope she can get out if this deal with Scar. Malachi wow who would’ve thought he be in that position. Zari was definitely the hot head of the group and didn’t take no mess. Envied was the more chilled laid back one that stayed out of trouble. I hope Urban and Envie can make it work and Azari is ok. Keegan was trying so hard to take care of her mom that left her in a bad situation. Can’t wait to see what happens next for these ladies.

LOVED IT

This book will take you on a journey of four girls just trying to make it by any means necessary. And money is the center of it all. Very well written and the character development is great. I like how the book gives the reader the background on the girls and how they end up connecting and developing a sisterhood. But all good things must come to an end as they begin to experience one downfall after the other. Will Misani finally be able to live a normal life, Will Keegan change her ways, What happened to Envie's son, and What does Zaria have planned now that she is faced with her past. Can't wait to find out in part 2.

Misani had such a ruff start in this book. When Misani met Zari and teamed up I knew they were going to be trouble together. Misani tried her best to hustle up so she could take care of her brother which she later found out was harder than she thought. Keegan poor soul trying to take care of her mom that just wasn't fit to be a mom. Then Zari her story was so sad to me. She used what she had to get where she wanted to go and get what she wanted. But all these ladies' love life was in shambles. But it all took a change towards the end of the book. I suggest you read it. The book had a lot of twists and turns.

I appreciated the approachable, inclusive tone. They do well addressing concerns that young women (or anybody marginalised in finance conversations) often have: social pressures, lack of representation, feeling intimidated. The tips are modern, practical, and delivered without condescension.

Shortcomings: In some places quite generic — what they suggest aligns with many other modern finance books, so less “breakthrough” on the investing mechanics than perhaps one might hope. Also, some advice assumes a context (stable job, access to good investment vehicles) that not everyone has. But all in all, it fills an important space, especially for younger generations.

Can’t wait for part 2

As always BriAnn did not disappoint. My heart went out to all these girls. Misani can’t seem that catch a break for nothing but I hope things eventually work out for her. Zari needs to learn how to love herself properly. Keegan doesn’t realize that she’s going down the same path of her mother just with a different vise. I think Envie is going to be stuck between true love and doing what she has to do for her son. These are real life situations that any one of us could experience. Can’t wait to see what happens next.

I don't know where to start

Ms. BriAnn honeyyyy!!! You did such an amazing job with this one. The way the characters evolved and grew up was so epic. The way each character met and the positions they had in each other loves were crazy. Misani, Zari, Keegan and Envie are sooo different but had the same end goal, getting that money by any means. This book flowed so nicely but the ending was intense for real for real. I didn't expect anything that happened. I just wanna se the girls win but find themselves in process. Part 2 is going to be crazy!!!!

I need a N%*#% who gone swipe them visas.

Completely different from the norm but in a good way. The growth of this authors work is outstanding. Four lost girls trying to make it out of this gritty world. Fast pace action , nothing but jaw dropping moments. Each woman has to either charge it to the game, or find a way out. In true fashion “Girls just wanna have fund$” will leave you gasping for more. Great Job. Can’t wait for part 2.

Good read

I wasn’t quite sure what to expect from this book but it was very well written. I love how the four characters were carefully described and their bonds were strong. This book told a story of loyalty and what girls have to do to make it, hence the word, “fund$”. I can’t wait for part two. Poor Misani went out of her way to help everyone. I hope she finds the love she desperately wants. ❤️

W o W

As I started reading I didn’t know if I was going to like this book, started off slow but gradually went too fast lol if that makes sense. Briann writing style is unmatched. Just like the other books she has written, this book suck you right in!. Misani & Zari started from the bottom and made they way to the top , but all good things comes with pain and misery. I enjoyed the book, whoever reading this you should definitely check it out

Idk how I missed this book but whew chile...the story was story-ing! I could've never guessed the twist and turns in this book if I wanted to. This story is so well thought out, so well written and put together. I loved the characters, their stories and their overall progression through life. Well, all except a few that I won't name bc you'd just need to read it yourself and see who. I definitely would recommend this book. Its fast paced but doesn't feel rushed.

Great Read

As always an amazing job done! I’m so sad that Misani just can’t catch a break. Zaria needs more than love but I feel like she’s going to wait until she can’t receive it to want it. Keegan is so irritating like ugh you see addictive behaviors yet here you go dragging everyone else down. I can’t wait for part 2!!!!

A wonderful job was shown of Misani's life during her teen years to help understand what circumstances she faced and the choices she made. Good mention of previous book characters. The storyline held my interest as the young ladies survival methods were drama-filled. The ending definitely has me ready to see what happens next. Good beginning to series.

Breath Taking

This is my first read by this author and man I’m speechless! The sisterhood these women have built with other is absolutely amazing. The want for money can take you places you’d never expect to find yourself in. The strength each woman posses is out of this world. Let’s hope they have the fight and will in them to push through and prevail 🤗

I lived for this book!!

Reading the tittle it was so not what I was expecting, but like every book she writes I walked away with a message. I don’t want to go into to much detail but I’m going to need Keegan and Zari to get it together. I’m anxious to find out what Scar about and hopefully see more of Carlo and Misani. I’m excited for part 2!!!

Women!

These women all are in over their heads. Envie got a sick kid she need to get to. Misani need to give Jhalil a heads up, and tell Xander what happened at the clean up. Great storyline, I loved this book and can’t wait to see what happens.
