His head roars... RESIST!
His heart screams....SURRENDER!

Seth Durant and his alpha brothers don’t have a lot of incentive to tell anyone they’re wolf shifters. Keeping that secret at all costs has been the number one rule they have lived by for nearly their entire lives. Falling desperately in love with women they can never have is not an option. But fate has a different plan, and everything in their world is about to change... FOREVER!

A Mate For Seth (Forbidden Shifters #1)

Seth Durant and his alpha brothers don’t have a lot of incentive to tell anyone they’re wolf shifters. As unregistered shifters living in secrecy, their very existence is technically illegal. Keeping that secret at all costs has been the number one rule the Durant brothers have lived by for nearly their entire lives.

As soon as he sees the beautiful, goofy, messy former Olympian, straight-laced Seth knows he’s met someone who just might change his life forever. Determined to get closer to Sarah while also determined to keep his family’s secret, Seth has to balance the life of being a human man with the life of being a wolf shifter in an inhospitable world.

Sarah, as drawn to Seth as he is to her, can’t understand why the kind, generous hottie next door is so secretive. She’s never known someone to be so desperate to know her while also throwing up so many roadblocks. With a complicated family history of her own, Sarah has to decide whether Seth is worth all the secrets. And when his secret is blown, she has to decide if she’ll be able to live outside the law with the love of her life.

A Mate For Raphael (Forbidden Shifters #2)

He wants her...but his biggest secret stands in their way

Raphael Durant has a problem. All he wants is to get to know a woman in a real way… a relationship. But he holds a big secret that means he can’t actually let any woman know him. He’s a wolf shifter in a world where all shifters are required by law to be registered, monitored, and housed in government funded camps. He and his brothers have been keeping their secret and living outside the law for their entire lives. It never bothered him much until he watched his twin brother Seth fall in love with a woman who accepted him, shifter secret and all, and now loneliness has started to eat away at Raphael. His only problem, telling a woman his secret means telling his brothers’ secret as well, something he’d never do.

Natalie Chalk has been best friends with Raphael since elementary school and it hurts her to see him so lonely. When she gets unceremoniously dumped by someone she bet the farm on, Nat finds herself just as lonely as Raphael is. One weird night, the same idea occurs to both of them. What if they could be less lonely… together? They initiate a friends-with-benefits plan to assuage their horny/lonesome feelings with one another, but neither could have predicted what would have come next.

A Mate For Jackson (Forbidden Shifters #3)

As a wolf shifter in a world that is completely hostile to shifters of any kind, he’s taken it upon himself to live a life of solitude as a way of keeping himself safe. If only the members of his family would follow his lead and stop falling in love with people and almost blowing their shifter secret. And if only Jackson himself wasn’t desperately in love with a woman he’ll never let himself have.

Kaya Chalk doesn’t hate men. She’s just constantly annoyed by them. They fawn over her, pursue her, make fools of themselves for her. What she wouldn’t give for a little peace and quiet! With her sister paired off and in love, Kaya becomes determined to live a peaceful, solitary life. That would be possible if only Jackson Durant weren’t suddenly a part of her life again, rescuing her from car trouble in a blizzard and scowling his way into her heart.

As a hostile presence returns from the past and starts to bear down on the Durants, Jackson and Kaya find themselves drawn to one another in a way that neither of them ever thought would truly happen.

In the exciting conclusion of the Forbidden Shifters series a hostile presence returns from the past and starts to bear down on the Durants. Jackson and Kaya find themselves drawn to one another in a way that neither of them ever thought would truly happen.

Forbidden Shifters
I was given advanced copies of each of these books as they were released. My reviews are voluntary.
A Mate for Seth

As usual, Selena delivers a great shifter story.

Sarah has dumped her career and moved as far away from her father as she can get to start a new life. Her current home needs a few improvements, furniture would be nice, but she will get around to unpacking and fixing the place up later. When the good-looking buttoned-down neighbor with the picture perfect house and yard shows up at her door to welcome her to the neighborhood, she was skeptical of his pretty boy offers of help.

Seth and his brothers are shifters in a world where this fact must be hidden if you didn't want to end up in a shifter camp being "helped" into an early grave. When he meets his new neighbor for the first time he does not make a good impression, with insulting her aunt and repeating himself and all. There is something about her that he really likes though, and he is determined to figure out a way to get her house in order. Just the kind of project he needs to keep him sane between full moons.

Find out what happens when Seth finds himself falling for a human that he can never endanger by telling her about his shifter side. I can't wait for Raphael's and Jackson's stories, and something tells me their adopted mother, Elizabeth, will have her own story.

A Mate for Raphael

Loved the second book in this series. It is the story of two friends that find they are maybe just a little more into each other than they ever thought possible. The rest of the family is also included in the story, giving you more hints of what is yet to come.

A Mate for Jackson

I loved this finale to the series. We get to find out how Jackson removes his foot from his mouth and admits his feelings to Kaya, who promptly calls him on his shift (can't use bad language, lol). I loved that Kaya was skeptical of Jackson and made him evaluate his own feelings and positions. To give him credit, Jackson knew he needed to improve if he wanted to win his mate. We also get a little bit of Elizabeth's and Bauer's love story. There is a lot that happens at the end of the book to wrap it all up. Enjoy.

An awesome series!
Each book in this series is excellent. I especially enjoyed the personalities of the different characters and how well-suited that made the couples. As always, the author imbues the stories with a generous helping of humor.

A Mate for Seth
In a world where being a shifter is a virtual death warrant, one family seeks to live a safe, happy life.

What a fun group of people in this story! There are some pretty serious issues muddying up their happiness, but through it all, they live their lives with gusto. I love the unique personalities of the Dunbars and their friends. Seth and Sarah make a delightful couple, even with (or maybe because of) their very different living style. He’s a bit compulsive in his need for order; she would rather live with the mess than organize. Great world-building!

A Mate for Raphael
This is such a wonderful story! Each time I read another by this author, I think “Oh, this couple is the best yet.” Then a new story comes along... It’s not like they’re carbon copies either. Each person shows his or her unique personality, and even the way the couples blend together is different. Of course, that’s how people are, but sometimes storytellers can get into a bit of a rut. I admire the author’s ability to keep her writing fresh, different, exciting, and deeply romantic.

A Mate for Jackson
It’s amazing the transformations people can make with the right motivation! Car trouble, a blizzard, and a full moon all conspire to set in motion major changes for Jackson Durant. I love seeing the way Jackson comes around, accepting the possibility of a relationship with Kaya. He takes Kaya’s hard-spoken truths to heart. He is such a sweetheart; protective, of course, but sweet. He’s not the only one making changes. Do read this awesome story for some epic surprises and a HEA for more than one shifter!

Oh dear, where to start? I hated the way the world was handling shifters. It was like Hitler and his camps for shifters. Mandatory registration and next camps that they will never get away from.

A Mate for Seth
Seth and his brothers have been protected by their mom their whole life. I laughed myself silly over Seth and his quirky self. Just goes to show that OCD isn't just a human trait. Sara, his mate, is so opposite and it is so funny to see him at her house. There is plenty of action and danger, but Seth just made me laugh the whole way through.

A Mate for Raphael
These two cracked me up. They were like an old married couple before they thought about dating. They were so funny. These guys are great, different but great. I like how Mom's life outside of her sons is sparking back to life since Bauer came around.

A Mate for Jackson
I knew that Jackson would eventually have to make some kind of decision about Kaya. I like that she stood her ground and was moving on. Jackson was more comfortable as his wolf than as a human when it came to Kaya. I also loved the relationship he had with Bauer. It just seemed natural for Elizabeth and Bauer to come together. The twist with the shifter-hater at the end had me reeling.

This box set is the best way to get these books if you haven’t started them yet. Binge reading them keeps it fresh and exciting from beginning to end. I requested an advanced reader copy and am under no obligation to leave this review.

It was a pleasure to read this truly enjoyable & fantastic complete wolf shifter romance series. The plots are well-thought out & written with some unexpected events. The characters are well-developed unique individuals that have a variety of traits and different sides to their personalities & react with realistic emotional feelings.
It is about: a world that discriminates against shifters and often passes a death sentence on them. One family of wolf shifters (The Durant family) is unregistered and lives in secrecy.
There is: wolf shifters, humans, vigilante groups, a controlling father, twists & turns, intrigue, suspense, action, danger, enemies, threats, secrets, attractions, hope, discrimination, disgust, family issues, hunters, guns blazing, fear, injuries, meetings, confrontations, verbal conflict, shifting, discovery, physical conflict, devious plans, confrontations, entrapment, misunderstandings, emotional turmoil, public opinions, verbal banter, happiness, love, some steam & satisfying conclusions.
I enjoyed reading this complete wolf shifter romance series & would recommend it to people who enjoy reading this genre.

I enjoyed this series written around three brothers with an extra side story about another, equally important romance thrown in. Despite the endings being quick, the author wraps them up nicely, especially at the very end of the series. Since each book is short you don't get a lot of post-story details until the end of the series, which I wasn't a fan of it but since I bought the box set, it was ok because I was able to read the series epilogue. You do get to see the characters and their love interest in each book as well. I enjoyed each story enough to keep reading hours on end until the finish. If you're looking for passionate love stories with real characters that evolve and grow, with a supportive family this may be your series.

In a world where shifters are known, but not understood, and feared, a human brings up 3 wolf shifters she has adopted, teaching them to hide being a shifter, because otherwise they will be taken to shifter camps, to be kept imprisoned and experimented on.
All three boys believe that it is impossible to ask any woman to become involved, as she would have to break the law to be with them. But one by one they find or accept that having a mate is inevitable. They and their friends all find strong women, who fight against the discrimination against shifters and strong enough to persuade the men that they are trustworthy.

*** Reviewing A MATE FOR JACKSON - BOOK 3 ***
I loved Jackson and Kaya’s story! It’s a tough world out there! Jackson is so stubborn, but wonderfully protective of those he cares about, as the reader will easily find out, and it’s a relief to finally see him get himself squared away and able to find his happiness. You will enjoy watching Jackson come around in his attitude, finally accepting the possibility of giving a relationship with Kaya a chance!

I think this book became my favorite of the series, but I really love them all! Join the Durant family and see what changes a good mate can make!

This series is about three brothers, all wolf shifters, that find their mates. This was no easy task, since being a shifter will get someone shipped off to shifter prison faster than you can say full moon. That makes it difficult to find someone, that they know beyond a shadow of a doubt will not only keep their secret, but also run the risk of going to prison themselves if they are found out. The brothers are in many ways so different from one another, but are always trying to keep an eye on each other and their adoptive mother. The books were all fun to read. I especially loved Jackson, who was the most stubborn wolf in the bunch.

It's ok

I didn't like all the characters but you might. I wasn't fond of the pacing, but it was ok. Not all of it was real enough for even the universe it took place in. Heat level was fine. Editing was fine. Had great potential in the story though it missed some good opportunities to be better. Read it. Just don't expect to walk away completely satisfied. Also, expect to want to slap one or two of the main characters a time or two.

A must read

This set was amazing. I can’t imagine living in a world where I would have to hide exactly what I am. These three brothers find their true mates but it is never easy. They have to fight their way to love and freedom. Excellent writing. A definite must read.

A Mate for Seth:
🌿Can Seth ever expose his true self to his hot new neighbor?!🏠🏡
November 26, 2018
Format: Kindle Edition
👍4.5 🌟stars🐺
Selena Scott has come up with a new series featuring hunky shifter brothers, romance, passion, and an ominous element threatening to destroy their lives. I loved her Secret Shifters of Spokane series in this vein, where the brothers were Eastern European 🐻shifters hiding in the forests of Washington State and the villains were cruel scientists. In this one, government and vigilantes are both boxing the shifter brothers into a tense, hidden life.

This first volume in the Forbidden Shifters series is a great start, with a solid introduction to the varying personalities of the brothers, their adoptive mother, the women in their circle, and the prejudice and threats they face.

Wolf shifter Seth and his newly-arrived neighbor, Olympic medalist Sarah, are the chief protagonists in this story and they sizzle, with some very extended intimate moments in the latter part of the book. Seth was an energetic sweetie, always on the move, taking care of others and putting his own interests last. Though he is a bit obsessively organized and neat, he was also my favorite character. The way he takes Sarah under his wing despite her indifference and occasional resistance -- cute and priceless! Sarah seemed a bit Bolshie and self-contained, but as her backstory is revealed, it made sense.

There's plenty of action as the brothers fight to control their shifts and the threat of public exposure intensifies. But the central focus is the building romantic tension. I liked the plot, the characters and the romance, though I could have been happy with less extended bedroom scenes.

A Mate for Raphael:
🐺Best friends find more than comfort in each other's arms😘

❤🐺🔥A good shifter romance with several pairings in play, steamy encounters and a vigilante anti-shifter on the prowl. The main romance pairs Raphael and Natalie, two bosom buddies who concoct a plan to use each other to mutual benefit, while looking for long-term partners, with unexpected results. In this world author Selena Scott has created, known shifters are rounded up and kept in detention camps if not killed by vigilantes. The Durant brothers have kept their true wolf shifter nature hidden to all but their closest social circle to avoid persecution. I thought the writing was good, the main characters (Durant family and close friends), interesting, the plot engaging with some twists I did not see coming as the anti-shifter activists close in. A couple of the intimate encounters were a bit drawn out for my taste, but that aside, I truly enjoyed the story.

A Mate for Jackson:
🐺Can Jackson surrender to their attraction without risking Kaya's safety?!😞
January 20, 2019
Format: Kindle Edition
👍4.5🌟stars💕🐺🔥🗻
Excellent! Very exhilarating end to the three book series. This shifter romance adventure features two couples who work through their issues to unite, and more endangered shifters come out of the woodwork. A troubled ex-con returns to Boulder to plot against the Durant shifter brothers, and some brave humans risk their lives and freedom to help protect the persecuted shifters.

It's all exciting and Jackson's repressed obsession for Kaya is smoldering as the 🔥fire between them builds. They are a great pairing and Kaya is pretty strong and fearless! But I really adored Jackson who wants to protect everyone so much that he often makes decisions on what's best for them without their input. He does not seem arrogant or controlling so much as just fearful for their safety and ready to risk himself and his happiness for their good. His efforts to improve himself and confide in and consult others demonstrate he recognizes his weaknesses. The second couple's romance is more low key and gentle.

I am not a big fan of extended intimate episodes and this story has a few. But they are well on in the story and easy to skim through if you are so inclined.

The story and series end is joyful, following on a thrilling action climax. Well worth the wait!😊

I read a complimentary advance copy of all the books in the set; this is my voluntary and honest review.
