Think Twice

"Four people, two love stories, one amazing book." Melanie Moreland, New York Times and USA Today Bestselling author

One couple risks it all, while the other may lose everything...

At eighteen, PJ was full of dreams. She was on her way to becoming a serious artist and moving across the country, away from the unrequited, tortured dream of her much older brother’s irresistible best friend, Dylan. But when she forced herself to let that dream go, she never expected it to bounce back and refuse to let her.

One fall may have cost Jack everything. After being severely injured while responding to a fire, he lost the girl, the use of his leg, and possibly the career he’s dreamed of all his life. While away at rehab, he connects with Danielle, his physical therapist and a girl from his past. She can heal him in more ways than one, but she’s nursing her own wounds.

When your heart is warring with your head, there’s no time to Think Twice.

Love Times Two!
Think Twice is an intricate, intelligent, and stirring romance that affirms the power of love. Ms. Rose introduces us to four dynamic characters. Two of the main characters are siblings and this is a thread that helps to bond the fabric of this story together. Each sibling is at a crossroads in their life. Though they are each battling quite different fears.

Patricia "PJ" is feisty and loyal. She is a skilled artist and loving daughter, sister. And friend. The twist here is that she in love with her older brother's best friend, Dylan. Dylan is honorable, hard working, and mindful. He is also 8 years older than PJ and not nearly as immune to their chemistry as she thinks. Dylan and PJ finally give into their feelings during a passionate and emotional encounter. Theirs is a tender, yet undeniable love. The age gap is an issue that they must navigate carefully for the sake of their families. Will love tear their family apart or is it strong enough to sustain their bond?

Jack is a wounded man. Both physically and emotionally. He is a firefighter that has suffered injures on the job. To add insult to injury, his longtime girlfriend broke up with him. If he can't overcome his physical injury, he may not be able to return to the career he loves. He is prepared to endure grueling physical therapy, if it means he can get back on the job. Enter, Danielle, his intense and beautiful physical therapist. She is empathetic, supportive, and disciplined. She also happens to be an old family friend. The compassion and camaraderie between them is instant. As their friendship grows, it ignites a spark of heat. Both Jack and Danielle have been burned by love in the past. Jack immerses himself in their connection where Danielle tries to resist. When vulnerabilities from the past cause a miscommunication, both parties are left hurt and confused. Can they look past that hurt and trust in the healing power of love or will doubt engulf them?

Think Twice contains two beautiful love stories, seamlessly woven into one fantastic read. I laughed, swooned, and cried. These characters will captivate your senses and make you feel all the feels.

-"Only you. It's always only ever been you."

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

This book tells the story of two separate couples which I found to be extremely unique. It's told from four different POV's and follows the lives of Jack Taylor and his younger sister PJ Garcia. Both stories are a brother's best friend romance, and have that forbidden element. I really enjoyed this fantastic book about true love and new beginnings.

PJ Garcia is about to turn 18. She lives in the Bronx and has a wonderful close family and great friends. What she doesn't have is that special someone in her life. She's crushed on her brothers best friend Dylan Matthews for as long as she can remember. He lived across the street and lately seemed to be everywhere she turned. She's planning to go away to college and try and move on. She wanted heart stopping passion and wouldn't be denied any longer. She wanted a man who would fight for her. She's tired of loving someone she can't have, or can she?

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

-Beautiful. He was so fucking beautiful that gazing at him caused me visceral pain.

-Every inch of him was gorgeous, and I needed to somehow escape this crippling infatuation.

-I couldn't remember a time in my life when Dylan wasn't everything to me.

-When I'd kissed her and she sighed into my mouth, as if she'd been waiting for my kiss for her entire life, it was nothing but right.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Jack Taylor is a fire fighter in New York that is injured on duty, and is lucky to be alive. After surgery he arrives for therapy at the best facility in the state. He's lost everything and is so frustrated and angry he can hardly see straight. He has a long road ahead of him and is shocked to see a familiar friendly face. Danielle Marsh is his new physical therapist, and also someone he knew as a kid. The shy, sweet little Dani is all grown up and gorgeous. Before he realizes it boundaries are crossed, and the personal/professional lines are blurring as he becomes more attached to her. Somewhere along the way she is more than just his therapist. They shared a strong connection, and he didn't want things to end between them once he was back on his feet. He came there broken, and she was making him feel whole again. She believed in him, and gave him hope, but could he convince her to give him a chance at something real and lasting, and believe in forever again?

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

-Time had been extremely good to Jack. The man was even more beautiful than the boy had been, and fighting to ignore that on a daily basis exhausted me.

-Jack Taylor had become the highlight of my day even if I wouldn't openly admit it- to him or myself.

-She was so gorgeous, she stole my breath.

-She understood me in a way no one else did.

-Whether or not Danielle would admit it, we'd brought each other back to life.

There’s nothing better than to be back with my tribe. My people. These characters are exactly that after all we’ve been through since Only You and After You. They’re my friends. Think Twice can easily be read as a standalone. For me it was extra special since I’ve been with them from the beginning. I’ve read the two short stories Falling and Hidden so I was very excited to get more and a deeper look into these wonderful characters.

In Think Twice the reader gets four POV. Jack and his younger sister by eight years PJ, his best friend Dylan and Danielle who’s Jack physical therapist. Also Jack and PJ’s parents have a huge part in the story making my Nick Garcia heart very happy. What’s not to love about Think Twice. I got my romance fix satiated thanks to the author Stephanie Rose and her fabulous storytelling. She knows exactly what I need and crave in romance and I got the delicious tingles thanks to Jack, Dylan and Nick. There’s a little forbidden/age gap theme going on which I thoroughly enjoyed. Ticking all my boxes. Those two epilogues were pretty damn amazing. Leaving me on a high.

The Second Chances series and Think Twice captures topics such as family, friendships and love to perfection. Maybe it’s because I’ve been there from book 1 but I want this series to go on forever. The way the author Stephanie Rose writes and executes storylines in this universe I know there’s a possibility for more and I couldn’t be happier.

I loved revisiting this story via audio! I was a little skeptical that 2 narrators would be able to pull off 4 distinct characters, but I was really pleasantly surprised by Samantha Cook and Brandon Utah's performances. They both gave vibrant and engaging performances and really brought these characters to life. This is the first book I've listened to performed by either narrator, but both did a fantastic job. I especially enjoyed Samantha Cook's narration as Danielle and PJ. She had just the right amount of sweetness and sass to pull off both women perfectly. I didn't have an issue figuring out which character was speaking, but did find Brandon Utah's female voices a bit too high pitched. I still really enjoyed this one and it was a wonderful listen!

*****

Reading a Stephanie Rose book always leaves my heart so full! I couldn't wait to get my hands on this book after finding out the author was taking some of her short stories and turning them into a full length novel. Think Twice is a spin off about the children of one of my favorite Stephanie Rose books, After You. It features Nick and Ellie's children, Jack and PJ, and gives you 2 couples and 4 POV's woven together so masterfully. You don't need to read After You to enjoy Think Twice, but it's an amazing book, so I highly recommend it!

There's honestly a little bit for everyone in this book. You've got friends to lovers, brother's best friend, and also some age gap and patient/therapist taboo. I was really impressed how the stories flowed together and the multiple points of view worked really well, giving us insight into each character's actions and personalities. There isn't any heavy drama, but there is some push and pull for the angst lovers out there. Jack and Danielle have a bit of emotional baggage to work through as they face their fears and PJ and Dylan play with fire (pun intended) for the majority of the book by not being forthcoming about their relationship. Yes, I wish PJ and Dylan would have come clean earlier, but I understand PJ's reluctance to change her father's perception of her. I actually wouldn't have minded a little more Papa Bear Nick action when everything came to light. ;) The little cameo by Evan from Only You was a treat too, and I'm hoping we might get a book or novella about his daughters one day as well.

One of my favorite things about Think Twice is the Garcia family. The relationships between husband and wife, parent and child, and brother and sister were all so important to the story. Jack and PJ's bond was especially touching and I loved that though they might not agree, they always supported and had the other's back. Plus, their banter and back and forth was hilarious, going from annoyed to fiercely protective in the same breath! The epilogues (yes, there's more than one!) couldn't have been more perfect and sweet, and they brought all our characters full circle. Think Twice is a feel good book that will leave you with a smile on your face.

4 stars!

I loved this book. A unique dual brother’s best friend romance with four main characters and two separate yet intertwined love stories, this book is full of swoon!

This is my first read by Stephanie Rose, and while this book is a standalone, it does follow on from one of her previous books. It’s not branded as such, but while reading I began to suspect that there were earlier stories, and a bit of investigation found that this book follows on from After You, and is the story of the children of the couple from that book (Nick & Ellie) – Jack and PJ.

Jack is a firefighter whose world came to a screeching halt after an accident on the job left him badly injured. His career is his life, it’s all he’s ever wanted and he doesn’t know who he is without it, so he is determined to push himself to the limit to get back to where he once was. He enters a live-in rehab facility, and the physical therapist assigned to him turns out to be the now very-grown-up younger sister of a high school friend. Danielle’s marriage ended after a devastating betrayal and it has left her emotionally damaged and reluctant to trust. To cope, she has thrown herself in to work and she is stunned to discover that her latest client is her old high school crush. She keeps things professional between them, but with inside jokes, soul-baring and late night vending machine runs, things slowly begin to change.

Meanwhile, Jack’s younger sister, PJ is making big life decisions. She’s been in love with her brother’s best friend, Dylan, for as long as she can remember and now that she’s turning 18 and about to start college she wants to try and move on from her impossible dreams of him. Dylan is 26 and he knows he’s too old for his best friend’s sister, but that means nothing when it comes to his feelings for her, and with her suddenly all grown up, he finds it impossible to hold back any longer.

These two love stories are both very different, but unfold right alongside each other, with the story told in four-way POV so we get to see everything that’s going on with everybody. The tie-in between them is done well, but the individual romances are very much separate, and I was all over Dylan and PJ’s story as they finally act on years of pent-up emotion. The feels are intense from the very beginning with them, however they are dealing with external pressures and influences on their relationship, especially with their age gap. But I got completely swept up in their story because they’re so freaking adorable and just so damn swoony!

“This is nuts, right?” She panted against my neck when we pulled apart. “For it to be this intense, this fast?”
“Maybe it is fast, but not for us, baby,” I took her face into my hands. “For us, it’s time.”

Jack and Danielle move at a slower pace, not just because of the forbidden therapist/client thing, but both of them have personal issues to overcome (and during all of that we get to see Jack reacting to Dylan and PJ’s hook up which I enjoyed). It’s a slow burn, but really sweet, and I loved watching it all build for them.

“Give us a chance, Danielle.” I inched closer. “Let me be the man you deserve.”

Both romances are functional and honest with nice emotion and a little bit of steam, and finish off beautifully with two fantastic epilogues which left me with a big grin on my face.

Fans of After You will no doubt love seeing Nick and Ellie in their roles as parents to two adults, and the relationships there are really beautiful. The dynamics between all of the characters are really well done, and I enjoyed this group and I’m looking forward to reading the earlier books so I can see how the original couples got together.

This is such a sweet read, and I really enjoyed it. 4 stars.

This could of been a great book but it is the tale of two couples. Thus making it dull at times. You are into the flow of one couple and then the author switches to the other couple. I would of loved if this was just one couples story.

Jack is a firefighter and is severely injured in a fire, falling thru a collapsing floor. After surgeries and recovery he is sent to a rehab where his PT is Danielle, a sister from a friend who moved away years ago. Attraction is strong for both but its against her job code throw in a bad past relationship for both, her a ex hubby who lived two lives and him a girlfriend who broke up with in the hospital.

PJ is jack's sister and has had a crush on his best friend, Dylan for years. He has had one too but being much older never acted on it. That is until her 18th birthday, don't worry he didnt plan it like a perv. It just happened...but now as they grow ever closer and the bond between them ever closer they will have to reveal their relationship to her parents, his parents and Jack...

I like both story lines, just not in the same book. Thus I only gave this read a 3 star rating.

I’m going to be honest here for a minute. I wasn’t sure how this book would play out due to it being two stories about two different couples. Would it be messy in the sense of it being too jumbled? Would it be confusing jumping from one couple to the next? And the answer is a resounding no. The four POV’s instead of two, worked smoothly. Ms. Rose did an outstanding job, the writing and storylines flowed seamlessly.

Think Twice revolves around siblings, PJ and Jack, Jack’s best friend Dylan and Danielle. It’s about them navigating towards their HEA’s.

From a young age, PJ has had a crush on Dylan, her brothers best friend. Though he’s older and forbidden she doesn’t care, she can’t help how she feels. When she confesses her feelings to Dylan, it’s not the reaction she hoped for. Dylan knows that having feelings for his best friends younger sister is a recipe for disaster. He’s tried to stay away, but what he feels for PJ is too strong. He knows there are obstacles to overcome, but PJ is worth it and is all that matters. Dylan and PJ were adorable together. At one point it wasn’t easy, but in the end what they went through was worth it.

Jack isn’t in a good place. After an accident at work, he’s hurt pretty badly and needs rehab. And at therapy is where he meets Danielle, his physical therapist. The attraction between Jack and Danielle is undeniable. It’s obvious they have feelings for each other, but every time Jack starts to get close, Danielle shuts down. It’s not only because it isn’t ethical, with Jack being Danielle’s patient, but it’s also because of Dannielle’s past. And what she’s starting to feel for Jack scares her, and not necessarily in a bad way. I loved Jack and Danielle’s banter. They were sweet and sexy and I couldn’t get enough of them.

The multiple perspectives in Think Twice were well written. The reader gets to experience all the emotions from the individual character as well as the set of couples together. Think Twice was an enjoyable read that left me smiling all the way to the end.

I picked this one up after hearing a lot of hype on Facebook...I've got KU for a couple more days, so I figured I would give it a go. I was hooked pretty quickly, although I worried the 4 POVs were going to throw me. I shouldn't have though, Ms. Rose did an excellent job of keeping things in line. The plot moved smoothly to keep the dual storylines of the two romantic couples and interconnected storylines flowing seamlessly. I was impressed by the transitions and the overall real world feel. Yes...mood music was included too, lol! 4 stars!

I loved the premise of Think Twice and I think Ms. Rose executed it perfectly! Revisiting the Garcia family, getting to know grown-up Jack and PJ, was so fun, even if a little angsty. Can I just say I loved seeing Nick in full protective dad mode- he was *almost* as swoony as alpha-daddy Lucas!

It was so great to read more of Jack’s story, after that taste we got in the Begin Again anthology. I enjoyed the push and pull between he and Danielle- there was just enough back and forth to keep things interesting, without being over the top. Danielle was hesitant to open her heart to Jack, thanks to circumstances in her past, and really, who could blame her. I liked how Jack was so patient with her, letting things proceed at her pace, until he was finally able to knock down some of her walls. I thought theirs was a sweet romance.

Could Stephanie Rose BE more of a romance Queen! Gah! Nothing will make your heart flutter more than a Rose book. The way she holds your heart in her hands and absolutely mesmerizes you with her words is astonishing.

So, full disclosure I'm kind of SUPER obsessed and VERY invested in all of Stephanie's characters so when I learned that Think Twice was about two of my absolute favorites' children!? I lost it! Think Twice is about Ellie and Nick's (From After You which is the best second chance romance EVER!)  children Jack and PJ. You can totally dive in without reading After You but please.......read After You!!

I LOVED this book but there were two things wrong with it. The chapters were too short and it ended. Or I'm just really greedy when it comes to Stephanie's words and could read this FOREVER!

Jack is going through a tough time. Following in his dad's footsteps he's a hero, a firefighter but due to a recent accident he's hurt pretty badly and needs rehab. He feels like he's losing it all. His career, the use of his legs and even his girlfriend who leaves him at the worst possible time but then he meets his physical therapist, Danielle. Danielle is bent but not broken, she's closed off and guarded because of recent events in her life. Sparks automatically fly between these two but everytime Jack gets close Danielle shuts down. These two are so sweet, vulnerable, hot and dreamy.

PJ is Jack's little sister and everyone knows about the major crush she has on Jack's best friend Dylan but Dylan isn't just Jack's best friend he's family, more like Nick and Ellie's second son. PJ is on the brink of turning 18, she's ambitious, smart, an amazing artist and is following her dreams. She's hoping putting some distance between her and the much older Dylan will stop these feelings because he just thinks she's a kid right? An annoyance he couldn't possibly feel the same pull but......what if he does? Dylan and PJ are fiery, intense, sweltering and beautiful! I couldn't get enough of these two!

Four POVs and Stephanie absolutely NAILED IT! It was so seamless the way she flowed from one chapter to the next and she made it seem completely effortless. Not a shocker that this is a top favorite for me! A MUST read!

I received an ARC of this book and I am voluntarily leaving a review. This was my first book by Stephanie Rose and I loved it. Why have I never read anything of hers before? This is a story of Jack and Danielle and PJ and Dylan. In essence, you are getting two books in one and each couple has their struggles but they find a way to make it work and they get their HEA. She made them feel real to the reader. You felt their pain and their joy. I love when stories do this to me. I feel like I am there right along with them and I loved it.

I absolutely adored THINK TWICE! Equal parts swoony, sexy, and sweet, this story will keep you hooked from the first page. I really liked the two-love-stories-in-one twist the author put on this book. Makes it a total page turner! The characters were relatable and felt very real. If you're looking for a great comfort read that you'll burn through in a single sitting, then this book is for you. Totally delicious!

Think Twice is two stories, about two couples, told from four different POVs; beautifully blended together into one book. I think the author did a great job with all four main characters and the supporting characters -they helped to give the story life. The story was flawless and flowed freely.

This book was recommended to me by a friend and I’m glad I read it, because it was a great read! This was also my first read from Stephanie Rose, but it certainly won’t be my last, because I will be checking out her other books.

Stephanie Rose brings two stories together in one seamless, scintillating book. Think Twice is smart, funny, sexy romance, and a definite must-read!

It’s hard to say which couple I loved more, because when it comes Jack and Danielle, Dylan and PJ, I have SO MANY FEELS. Like... all of them. The fabulous way the stories parallel, while also being completely different (!) made this book impossible to put down.

Gah! And now I’m smiling again just thinking about all the best bits...

it's no secret that Stephanie Rose is a go-to author for me. And all of her characters have become like family to me and I love that many of them overlap into her new stories, or make cameos throughout (yes, I am talking about Evan, in particular- THANK YOU, STEPHANIE!!).

Think Twice actually follows two couples- Ellie and Nick's children from After You. Jack was injured in a fall during a fire call, and needs to do rehabilitation on his leg, and this is where he runs into Danielle, who happens to be his physical therapist as well as his childhood friend's little sister. Meanwhile, PJ has had a crush on Jack's best friend, Dylan, since she was little. After turning eighteen, they begin to explore their feelings for one another, knowing fully that her parents and brother won't be happy.

I absolutely loved all these characters! I loved how determined Jack was to heal, and I loved how Dani pushed him further. I loved how protective Dylan was, and how he wanted what was best for PJ. And PJ was quite mature for her age. I also loved Nick and Ellie (well, I already loved them) and the interaction they had with Jack, PJ, and Dylan.

Both of these storylines had been introduced previously (Book + Main and a short story in an anthology), but were developed into more. So much more! She did a phenomenal job of weaving new and original elements into this plot, and combining two different stories into one (that, in itself, is amazing to me- I can't imagine the work needed to accomplish that!)

Think Twice is a book that I will most certainly read again and again~ I highly recommend it!! Oh, and I'm hoping that the couple of characters at the end mean that we'll be getting more...

I have since listened to the audio of Think Twice. I absolutely loved this audio! Samantha Cook and Brandon Utah did a great job of bringing Jack, Danielle, Dylan, and PJ to life!

Think Twice checked all my boxes-unrequited love, second chance, brother's best friend ... and then there's an injured hero? Totally my jam! Think Twice is a wonderfully spun tale of two couples falling in love and seeing what's been right before their eyes the entire time. MUST READ!

Think Twice by Stephanie Rose is a contemporary romance told in multiple POVs following four lead characters while simultaneously telling two love stories. Containing the following tropes - friends to lovers, unrequited love, virgin heroine, brother's best friend, best friend's little sister, age gap romance, and forbidden love - this story has something for everyone.

Meet the characters:

Jack: a 26-year-old firefighter in a rehab center for physical therapy, PJ's older brother, Dylan's best friend since childhood, Danielle's patient.

PJ (Patricia Jane): an 18-year-old artist about to begin college, Jack's younger sister, secretly in love with Dylan for most of her life.

Danielle: 24-years-old, Jack's physical therapist, younger sister to Kyle (Jack's friend in high school), she had a crush on Jack before moving away with her family right before her high school junior year.

Dylan: a 26-year-old construction company owner and manager, Jack's life-long childhood best friend, secretly in love with PJ since she turned sixteen and fighting his feelings ever since.

I really enjoyed Think Twice. When I first learned that two love stories would be told side by side, I was intrigued by the idea, but also wondered if it would actually work. And it absolutely did! All the main characters' lives (except for maybe Danielle's) were so intertwined which facilitated seamless, contiguous storytelling. The four points of view were woven together brilliantly and the storylines flowed smoothly.

I was completely drawn in and held captivated by the couples and their stories. I fell in love with each character while rooting for Jack & Danielle and PJ & Dylan to overcome obstacles and arrive at their happy endings. Beautiful, creative, unique, and masterfully executed, I highly recommend this sweet, sexy, romantic story. I absolutely loved it!

I truly enjoyed Think Twice. Stephanie Rose has certainly raised the stakes with her writing since her debut, which I also liked very much. She manages 4 POVs quite well and I was completely invested in both love stories right from the start.

It's interesting that the burgeoning romances between Dylan and PJ, as well as Jack and Danielle, both featured childhood crushes from the women. It gave both stories a sweet nature that was very thoughtful. In the present, both couples face obstacles in being together. For Dylan and PJ, the age difference and the fact that Dylan has been considered a second son, as Jack's bf and a dear neighbor, is hard to swallow. But their secret time together before the cringe-worthy reveal is full of passion and true love. These two were simply meant to be. I loved that both harbored feelings for the other, when they shouldn't have. And I give credit to the author for not stepping over the line and have PJ engage in a relationship with Dylan before she was of age.

With Jack and Dani, getting ahead of his early snarky attitude from his injuries due to a collapse while fighting a fire, wasn't easy. But Danielle stayed professional as his physical therapist, until she couldn't and yet she just couldn't get out of the way of her hurtful past. Their slow burn romance had me just as frustrated as the both of them but again, the author gave them the time they needed to expunge their demons and see each other in the very best way possible.

Being in all 4 characters's heads was truly brilliant and it was wonderful that in the end, a true and all-encompassing love was what all of them needed to feel complete. That love propelled them all in both their personal lives and their professional ones and I enjoyed every moment. In addition, the epilogues...yes we get more than one...were beautiful and made me smile.

What stands out most for me was that both stories kept moving and when I was left with a bit of a question at the end of one, the other picked right up in the next chapter, keeping me happy once more.

Really well done and a thorough delight from start to finish, I happily give Think Twice a solid 5 stars!

What is better than a romance novel with a happily ever after? A romance novel with TWO HEA's!! This author's easy, familiar style washes over the reader throughout the story's comfortable and low-key angst, once-in-a-lifetime love, and the unconditional acceptance and support of family and friends. Jack and his younger sister, PJ, both find their forever love in two very different stories told from four points of view.

It’s a bold, risky move for an author to break from formula and try something new, so I give Ms. Rose props for taking this chance. I suspect there will be some readers who prefer their romance with a single storyline, but for me, it was a breath of fresh air and I feel like I got double my money's worth. The dual plots hooked me in quickly and I had no issue at all with the smooth transitions from one point of view to another.

Not only do we get to revisit some characters from previous books and get the next generation's stories, Rose throws in enough tropes to keep every reader engaged – unrequited love, taboo older man/younger woman, brother's best friend, and one I won’t mention in case it’s a spoiler. But the real beauty of her work shows in the writing, in her ability to connect the reader with the characters, a pacing that carries the reader along effortlessly, and the vast array of emotions her words evoke. With enough drama that never quite manages to douse the thread of hope, double the terrific chemistry and lots of tugs at the heart, Think Twice is a phenomenal must read!

Where do I begin? With the love that grew from the affection of those who are thrown in close quarters all the time but blossomed into a love for the ages? Or with the love that is borne out of a tragic accident?

What Author Stephanie Rose has done in Think Twice is so different. She’s enmeshed the life and love stories of four individuals, two couples, connected by blood, friendship and chance. It’s intriguing, capturing the four points of view as each character struggles to reconcile feelings that have bubbled to the surface.

The girl who craves her brother’s best friend. Who knows her mind and heart but is afraid that he will break it.

The friend who has loved her afar for years, but hasn’t made a move, because of age difference, the bro-code, and fear.

The injured man, broken and battered, an angry shell of the outgoing, laid back guy he once was before his life took a drastic turn.

The therapist who is bringing him back to life, even as she’s afraid he’s doing the same to her.

The stories are intertwined masterfully and have you turning page after page in the hopes that true love will prevail.

“Maybe it is fast, but not for us, baby. For us, it’s time.”

Ok, think of this as beautiful lovey story between 2 couples, 4 great characters – in only one book! This is my first Stephanie Rose book and am hooked.

Two siblings, two love stories that are separated completely but you get well-rounded story. It keeps you interested and emotionally engaged with the characters in a very real sense.

Jack & Danielle – I was cheering for them from the beginning…he was injured, and broken, she was there to help him not knowing how much he would help her also.. Who would have thought he had to almost lose it all to become the luckiest man in the world.

PJ & Dylan – she is young, he is 8 years older, they are in looove, but have to overcome obstacles that are in front of them…maybe it would look rushed to some or even inappropriate and wrong for how it started…good thing it didn’t have to make sense to anyone but them… nothing love can’t win.

This was beautiful, passionate & extremely moving story and I was completely in love with it...

I was a little nervous starting this book. I have loved everything that I have read by Stephanie Rose, but I have never read a book with more than two point of views. I should have know Stephanie Rose would be able to make me love it! I couldn’t put down this wonderful book.

I absolutely adored both couples, Danielle & Jack and PJ & Dylan! Some great chemistry & banter throughout the whole book! I loved that both couples had their own struggles and their own paths that they had to follow to get where they were meant to be. The journeys both couples took were woven together beautifully.

I can’t wait for more by Stephanie Rose!

I voluntarily reviewed this book.

Think twice is literally two stories intertwined in one book. Plot wise it's about bestfriend's siblings crushes and so forth. I personally liked Jack and Danielle's more as the build up, less sudden. Though PJ and Dylan also started out as a crush thing that came true. Expounding on that it's Dylan is the her brother's bestfriend, their start is tricky what with PJ being young and still starting out. All likable characters, I just felt PJ's youth at times.

The rehab part was intense and emotional, Jack is frustrated and hurt, angry at first, while he had his moment to be rude about his recovery he gets it together. He is a good guy, determined to beat his situation after his self pity, his therapist pushed him to keep on. His therapist turns out to be the younger sister of a friend, one who had a crush on him growing up. Danielle is avoiding people and wanting to be alone after her failed marriage, her walls are high but Jack tries to chip them away. They definitely have chemistry and attraction but client and therapist will be hard to figure out, where will she fit in his life after too.

Ok no lie it could be a bit creepy Dylan and PJ from Jack's perspective, when they were that close. But I've seen similar and it was done well. Dylan is determined to prove everyone wrong and that his feelings are strong. But despite their all in right away and hot and heavy, I didn't quite really feel it. As much as I get long crushes this one was just too sudden and insta ish for me. I like seeing things develop, this was brewing but I think them having their own book would be better. I saw how Danielle inspired Jack and helped him not as a crutch but as friend, their conversations sparked more.

I think Jake Kinney would make an interesting follow up, I wanna know what happens to him. So I did like the concept of this and it had a good idea behind it. It was light, not much angst, steamy some sweet.but I felt like the end was a tad rushed. It would have worked as two separate connected books, no problem with the writing it it was easy to get. Not my favorite but like the author's stuff will read more.

Think Twice by Author Stephanie Rose is an NA Romance novel of two couples with forbidden love.

“Maybe it is fast, but not for us, baby.” I took her face into my hands. “For us, it’s time.”

I always anticipate opening the pages of this author’s novels. I know I will get all the feels, all the emotions, and some sweet and spicy sexy. When I saw that this novel was coming, my first thoughts were, “Holy crap! This is Jack’s story! And PJ’s story! I have been DYING for this one.”

I LOVE that Think Twice held two stories of unrequited affection that was no fault of either party. Never the right time. Never the perfect opportunity. But when the stars aligned and hearts surrendered, the best love stories became apparent.

“The answer was always simple. I fell in love when I was nine years old, and it was for life.”

These couples were so easy to adore. Dylan COMPLETELY stole my heart and my breath. I LOVED the way he cherished PJ. Their chemistry unleashed was sizzle, pop, KABOOM! Jack and Danielle were like a dream couple. So sweet. So adorable. I was enchanted by them and how they built each other up at such a pivotal and direction-changing times in their lives.

“Well, didn’t you say you told my father you’d play by all the rules.” “I did.” He nodded, his lips curling in a slow grin. “But I never said I’d be a saint.”

The cat and mouse play throughout the novel made me giddy with delight. The charming gestures, in words and actions, continually made my heart flutter. The walks down memory lane and peeks of past familiar faces completed this novel like whip cream and a cherry complete a scrumptious ice cream sundae.

“When I did walk out of here, I wanted it to be toward new beginnings, and Danielle wouldn’t be another end.”

Author Stephanie Rose stated that she took a chance in writing Think Twice; this gamble definitely paid off. It was a heartwarming treasure.

~ 5 Sweet Girl Stars ~

When I heard Stephanie Rose was writing a story with 2 love stories built into it, I was hesitant to read it because I was afraid of the cheating factor or that it was a love square. I am happy to report that I had NOTHING to worry about.

Think Twice is just what she said, two love stories built into one book. It is about 2 separate couples. I thought Stephanie did a flawless job tangling the two stories together but still giving each couple the focus they both needed for the reader to connect with all 4 characters.

Think Twice is a standalone novel told in multiple POV’s. I would say that this book is a companion/spin off novel of Stephanie’s After You novel. No the storyline is not continuing from that book, but the main characters of this story are the 2 adult children of Nick and Ellie (from After You) and the ones they fall in love with. You DO NOT have to read After You first, this is completely a standalone, but once you read this you will want to go back and read Nick and Ellie’s story too.

This is a friends to lovers, brother’s best friend and an unrequited romance story. Stephanie covers a lot of different tropes in this story, but they all work together. There is also an age difference with one of the couples that would make this a forbidden story also. I don’t want to give too much away. This is a book you will want to experience for yourself. I will say that I fell in love with all the characters!!! PJ, Dylan, Jack and Danielle were all fabulous characters and I felt a part of there world. I loved what they all worked so hard to overcome and didn’t let anything stop them.

I thought this story was fresh, unique and totally captivating. I was sucked in from the beginning and really didn’t want this book to end. I think Stephanie Rose’s writing just continues to grow and get better with each book she releases. I always look forward to any book she releases and this one will definitely make my Best of 2019 list!!!
