Misbehaving

Rate this book
Wanted: Adventurous, open-minded man willing to try…anything…

As a popular sex blogger, Beatriz gets paid to have orgasms. So being on deadline the week of her sister's wedding isn't as rough as it sounds. There's just one hitch: Bea's assignment is to write a review of a sex position manual, but she doesn't have a plus-one to play with.

The good news: Ben, the one who got away back in college, is also attending stag—and he's as temptingly gorgeous as ever.

The bad news: Ben turned down Bea's offer of graduation-night sex five years ago.

The best news: He's not planning on making the same mistake twice….

Beatriz has the best job ever. She gets paid to orgasm. She is a sex blogger. She writes articles on her experiences with sex toys, reviews sexy books etc. The week of her sister’s wedding is approaching and she gets an emergency assignment. Review THE MANUAL. While she’s out of town for the wedding. The only problem? THE MANUAL is a book of sex positions and she can’t review it alone. She needs a partner. It shouldn’t be too hard to find a willing guy, right?

Ben and Beatriz both had feelings for each other in college. Ben is best friends with Henry, the man who is marrying Bea’s sister. He is obviously in attendance durning the wedding week and he is the perfect candidate. Someone Bea knows and is attracted to. She propositions him, and come on... who would say no?
“I have to write an emergency book review on a sex position manual. I need a partner.”

“A partner?”
“Well, you can’t review a sex position manual without having sex, right?”

“Good point. Very good point.” Ben said. “So you want to... with me... review your book?”

Ben and Bea have a lot of fun trying out the manual. Their chemistry is off the charts. Their time together is sexy, flirty and fun. I enjoyed their banter and texts.
‘What a blow job in the shower?’

‘Business or pleasure?’ Ben wrote back before adding a vital caveat.
‘Never mind. My cock just told me it doesn’t care why. Coming.’
‘Yes. Yes you are.’ Beatriz responded.

5 years apart. One week together. The best sex of their lives. They both live on separate coasts and have their own lives. If you want to see how this week between Bea and Ben ends, you’ll have to read it for yourself!
She’d only planned for him to spend the week inside her body. Somehow he’d gotten inside her heart as well.

Tiffany Reisz. I will read anything that woman writes. This novella is very different from her Original Sinners series, but I still really enjoyed it. Short, hot, sexy and fun. All four of the characters (Bea, Ben, Claudia and Henry) made me laugh. An entertaining read!

****************************

A new short story by Tiffany Reisz and it's a modern erotic retelling of Much Ado About Nothing!

description

MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING is a Shakespeare comedy. I was wondering how Ms. Reisz was going to tell this tale. She did a great job. She had me giggling over some of the goofy things that happen between these two couples.

A quick breakdown of Shakespeare's story:
It's about two couples. The first couple is Benedick and Beatrice and they are engaged in a "merry war." In contrast, Claudio and Hero are the sweet couple.
Benedick and Beatrice are tricked into confessing their love for each other, and Claudio is tricked into rejecting Hero at the altar on the belief that she has been unfaithful. At the end, Benedick and Beatrice join forces to set things right, and the others join in a dance celebrating the marriages of the two couples.

Now, that we are all up on our Shakespeare let's look at this modern day tale.
Both "couples" are together in a swanky hotel for the wedding of Claudia and Henry. They have several days before the wedding and that gives Bea time to meet her boss's deadline for her book review. She is a sex toy reviewer and has a deadline to review- THE MANUAL a book that contains twenty-five sex positions for couples.

Ben and Bea had a rocky ending in college and haven't seen each other since....that is, until now. To find out how MISBEHAVING turns out I'll let you read the book.

description

Standalone BUT I hope Ms. Reisz does more Shakespeare comedies...such as The Taming of the Shrew.

My Tiffany Reisz cherry has officially been

Everything about this novella was

Well except for the overuse of the word clitoris. But I'm willing to over look that in favor of the hotness factor and the fact that I was laughing my ass off most of the book.

Henry was

He kind of stole the show.

"She wants to fuck me up the butt Ben." Henry stepped forward and wrapped Ben in a hug. "Hold me."

Bea is a sex blogger...BEST. JOB. EVER. She writes a column reviewing sex toys, sex books, all things sex.

She's headed to her sister's wedding in NY...assignment in tow. She has to review a sex manual and needs a willing partner to try it all out with her. Enter Ben--her long lost love. The man she fell in love with in college. That broke her heart. That turned down sex when Bea was standing in front of him naked.

"It was like I had two hearts and both of them were in love with him. I never knew you could feel that much. And he just had the one heart and it wasn't interested in me."

Ben....

Bea proposes her plan to Ben. He thinks about it for 0.2 seconds...

"To do Bea..or not to do Bea?"

What ensues is a whole lot of fun. A whole lot of funny. And whole lot of HOT SEX! And a nice little HEA for Ben and Bea!
"I thought I was over you. But then I was under you. And now I'm in love with you."

Bravo Tiffany Reisz, bravo!!

Wow, just wow.

It is not often that I love M/F erotica. If I see any of the following I feel my nasty claws emerge: Timid virgins, BDSM-lite, sex being viewed as "dirty" or "shameful", laughable dirty-talk, anal sex called "the forbidden (anything)" or "my most secret place"... I can go on for days about what I don't like in M/F erotica. What do I like? Everything Tiffany Reisz has written in this book.

I can't remember the last time that I've read a book that was both so sex positive and so funny. I absolutely loved the writing. The story was light and low angst while still being mind-blowingly sexy. Just a perfect mix. I practically highlighted half the book, I loved the dialogue so much.

"I loved your jeans. Remember that pair with the big hole in the right knee?"
"My lucky jeans."
"Those were my favorite. I always wondered how far I could reach if I slipped my arm in that hole."
"You dreamed of fisting my pants?"

...

"At that moment his phone buzzed. He picked it up and smiled at the text message from Beatriz. It read, 'What are you wearing?'
Ben, as usual, had slept naked.
'Leather chaps,' he wrote back, 'And a clown nose. Don't ask.'"

Honestly, my only quibble was a misunderstanding that provided some drama towards the end of the story. It only bothered me a little but enough to knock down my rating a touch.

I'm so happy I read this today. Tiffany Reisz, you thankfully delivered the goods.

4 FUNNY STARS

This was a great quick read! It was sexy and funny, the characters were great, and the sex was so hot! Misbehaving is very different from the Original Sinners! We are used to the darker side of humor from the Original Sinners Series but in this there is pure fun!!

Ben and Beatriz met in college and they were attracted to each other.Because of some circumstances didn't happened between them.Ben refused Beatriz’s offer to have sex with her and he broke her heart... But he still regrets it.When Beatriz finds herself having to review a book on sex positions ...she ends up working on a week when she's on holiday at her sister's wedding. And Ben will help her..I loved Beatriz!!!She reminds me a lot Nora from the Original Sinners! She's got the same open mind sexiness! Also she's very loyal to her friends, and always willing to help them. Ben mmm he is gorgeous and sexy!!

I loved it, made me laugh out loud! And the sex was really hot! If you are looking for something funny and sexy this is what you need!!

"Better late than never."

This is a short, silly, steamy read about rekindled lost love.

Bea, is a sex education blogger who after five years comes face to face with the man of her dreams, Ben, at her sister's wedding.

Bea needs a partner to review a new sex book for her blog and as may guess, Ben is the man for the job.

description

As a reader can guess, Ben and Bea's feelings develop rapidly for one another.

"I thought I was over you. But then I was under you. And now I'm in love with you."

My favorite character hands down was Henry!

"She wants to fuck me up the butt, Ben." Henry stepped forward and wrapped Ben in a hug. "Hold me."

I found this book it to be a light read that was pretty predictable but overall entertaining.

4.5 Treated, Teased, Tiffany Reisz Stars
* * * * 1/2 Spoiler Free
Publishers, I think, are always trying to see what the big trend is going to be… They had to re evaluate their entire business models when authors took charge of their destiny by self publishing, using the eBook platform to reach millions and advertise their products through social media.

Some companies adapted, saw real talent and decided to embrace these amazing authors. Tiffany Reisz is one of these blazing stars. When I went to Ms. Reisz’s website, I was able to discern was she had Immersed in Pleasure published in March 2012 through the arm of Harlequin Spice Briefs. She had another piece in July and then the ground breaking The Siren was published through Harlequin Mira August 2012.

The rest is history… awards, a massive following and demand for anything Tiffany Reisz. It is gratifying to see smart concepts and intelligent storytelling prosper. Harlequin saw the trend and desire from her following and came up with Cosmo Red Hot Reads from Harlequin. These are erotic; a little lighter fare with romance, sly wit and spice.

Misbehaving
is the first taste of this concept and they were brilliant having Tiffany be the first to launch this new arm. In this short tale, Ms. Reisz uses the basis of Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing.

Here is where I direct you to please see Amy (Foxy)'s review; (https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...) she perfectly gave the Bard's story with all the characters and showed how everything fits magically together.

Bea is a sex toy reviewer…. She is seen getting ready to leave for her foster sister’s wedding. Her boss needs her to cover for another reviewer… this time a book called The Manual… a hipper… younger version of the classic sex manual, The Joy of Sex… and in order to review properly… Bea will have to find an actual person to try out all of the positions demonstrated. Well, this normally wouldn’t be an issue if she was staying in NYC… plenty of friends to play with… if you know what I mean… But because she is going to be out of town… well, this is a problem. Bea explains to her boss to send whatever extras are needed for the review to the hotel in care of her sister.

Her sister is very happy and the man she is to marry is her perfect other half… they have been together since college and this event will be bring all of their friends and family together for this beautiful event.

One of the people coming is Ben… he is the soon to be groom’s best pal and long ago while all of them were in college together, he fell hard for Bea and she him… BUT… the best pal card was pulled by Henry… stating do not dare take out my girlfriend’s baby sister… you do that, it will ruin my chances with her. Ben pulls away from Bea… never tells her why and both have always had feelings for each other… but never acted on them.

Now because of the need for a sexual partner to review The Manual… all of the stars have lined up for the both of them to quote Marvin Gaye…. Let’s Get It On…..

This is the set up…. The outline is the Bard’s and it is followed to the T…..But it is done Tiffany Reisz style… and she has planted her tongue firmly in her cheek. It is fun, witty, sly, sexy and very sweet but not in a cheesy way at all. I truly enjoyed every single moment.

All of the characters felt real and you wanted everything to work out in the end. I hope there is more coming from Ms. Reisz under this new umbrella of Harlequin as they are quick, fresh and have her touch to keep us interested.

Bravo Mistress Tiffany! As usual, you've managed to write a book full of all the goodies...endearing characters, dry humor, and sexual heat! Devoured this little gem!

Bea is a reviewer/blogger on all things sex...books, toys, you name it. She's heading to NYC for her sister's wedding and was asked, last minute, to write a review on THE MANUAL...a book of sexual positions. Fabulous. At least with most toys, it's solo play but now she's got to find a fuck buddy to review this book...during wedding week. Fabulous.

Photobucket Pictures, Images and Photos

Ben is standing up for Henry in his wedding this week. Henry's fiancée has a hot younger sister he's been in love with since college. But he fucked up that epically. She offered herself up for him on graduation day and he turned her down...at Henry's request to stay away from his girlfriend's little sister. Henry knew Ben was a womanizer and if things went bad for the two, which they surely would, the fallback would be on him and his girlfriend.

When Ben and Bea face each other again, finding out years too late why Ben turned her down, they waste zero time making up for it. Bea's gotta write this sexual positions review and he's the perfect guy for the job. It IS a job...right? Can they keep it sexually platonic? Is there such a thing? They live on opposite sides of the country...get the review done and move their separate ways.

Bea was the perfect heroine. She's snarky and tough. The humor of all the characters made the book as enjoyable as it was. It's sexy and easy to read in a sitting. I highly recommend this book for the reader who's in a slump and wants a quick fix!

4 Miss Bea Haven stars
"Sometimes I think I'm kinky because I fantasize about slapping you. And then I realize I really just want to slap you."

Beatriz is a popular sex blogger known as Miss Bea Haven, she's was about ready to leave for her sister's wedding when she gets an assignment she just can't turn down; review a sexual positions book before the week is done…
A Sex Position Manual for Generation Y. If you read it, you will come…

Problem was she had no one to play with; positions such as Modified Missionary, This Ain't Your Grandma's Wedding Night, Butterfly, The Anvil, The Figure Eight or Coital Alignment, requires a partner. Her solution comes in the form of Ben, a guy who turned her down years ago and a man who clearly is still under her skin. What better way to get him out from under her skin than to fuck him out. The feeling though is mutual, and after kicking himself for the past several years, he vows to not make the same mistake twice.
She love's to take Ben to the vey edge of sex where all the walls of shame and fear came down, where flesh met fantasy…

But there is a thin line between fucking and making love, and somewhere along the way when the games turn into more, the lines begin to blur. What happens when the week is through, can they just turn around and walk away ???

Misbehaving was a fun sexy HOT novella, that had me laughing and squirming. Miss Reisz has a way of writing her leads that leave a lasting impression. Beatriz is no Nora, but she definitely can stand on her own, Ben was a sweet alpha man, who knew when to take control and when to give it. When the big answer to the "why" question came up, I have to admit it was a bit dumb BUT then again they were in college so what the hell should I expect. This is a perfect bed time read, especially if you're in the mood for something feisty and sexy.

4.5 Stars! This book makes me want to be naughty...very naughty!!

My joint review with Crista posted at: Swept Away By Romance

What worked

Crista says:
This novella worked for many reasons. It’s humor, romance, and incredibly erotic sex scenes are the first things that come to mind. Misbehaving takes a look at a couple that met in college and were attracted to one another, but unfortunately passed up the chance at a relationship. Fast forward to present day. Bea and Ben’s best friends are getting married and they once again come face-to -face. Ben is not about to make the same mistake twice! He’s never forgotten Bea, and he is more than excited to get another chance with her.
Karla says: It was a unique storyline, and although I’m not a big fan of characters jumping in the sack right from the get-go, Ben and Bea had history and it worked in the context of the book. Hey, she had a job to do and he was willing to put himself out there to help her…what an honorable man *snicker - snort*! This read is not for prudes, and if you are familiar with Tiffany Reisz’s writing, you know to be prepared to expect the unexpected, and more times than not, she knows how to make it work! It’s always a fun ride!

What didn’t work
Crista says:
This is the hardest question to answer because there really wasn’t much that didn’t work. However, there was one thing that does come to mind. I liked that this couple had a past and that there was some depth to them besides their sexual relationship. I would’ve liked to see more time spent with the couple OUTSIDE the bedroom. There is so. much. sex in this book, that it started to take away from the love and friendship that exists between Bea and Ben. We are told that they spent time “dating”, but we are never shown that. The sex is awesome, but it would’ve been nice to see some of their romance as well.
Karla says: Henry’s reaction to the package that he thought was for Claudia. It was a little over the top, and I would have much rather see him confront her directly. Considering the length of time and solid relationship that was portrayed for this couple, it seemed out of character for Henry.

Best scene(s)
Crista says:
My absolute favorite scene is toward the end of the book when Ben writes a note to Bea about his thoughts on The Manual. The following scene has Ben reading Bea’s review for The Manual. As someone who loves to review books, I was absolutely entertained and held spellbound by this exchange (and the cleverness of Ms.Reisz’s writing).
Karla says: So many, great scenes, but it was easier to give you some of my favorite quotes! I found a few that show the fun nature of this book. They are amusing, sweet and SEXY, but won’t spoil the read for anyone!

Quote 1: “Did you pleasure yourself while reading about me pleasuring myself?”
“Masturbate? Me?” Ben asked, feigning innocence. “Never. That’s disgusting.”
“If you masturbated while reading about me masturbating I might have to masturbate while imagining you masturbating about me masturbating.”
“Or we could just skip the masturbating and fuck each other.”

Quote 2: “Are you texting somebody while we’re having sex?”
“Notes,” she said. “Just takes a second.” “This is for the review?” “Posterity demands it.” She tossed her phone aside and smiled up at him. “Seriously. Sorry about that. I should have warned you.”
“What did you write?”
“Just notes.”
“Bea…” She took a quick breath. “I wrote that this position is highly recommended for lights-on sex as you get to see your partner’s amazing body in all its glory.”
“I noticed that. You look incredible.”
“I was talking about you,” she said.”

Quote 3: “When I’m having good sex, I’m the happiest, least violent person on earth. If people had more and better sex and felt less guilty about it, we’d live in a much better world.”
“I am happy to help you in your quest to fuck for world peace.”

Favorite character(s)
Crista says:
The great part about this book is that I didn’t have a favorite character! They were all awesome (including the secondary couple).
Karla says: I adored Ben. So cute and such a sweetheart! Oh, and he was so accommodating. He can help me write a review anytime! Come on over to my house Ben and let’s re-create some scenes from Misbehaving and make our own memories!

Overall Thoughts
Crista says:
It is no secret that I am a HUGE fan of Tiffany Reisz’s Original Sinners series. For those wondering if the talented Ms. Reisz can write romantic comedy as well as she writes deep and disturbing erotica…the answer is a resounding “yes”! Misbehaving is an irreverent, sexy, and incredibly fun look at a second chance at love. Bea and Ben are obviously meant for one another and watching these two interact is like watching dynamite! This book is explosive fun! ~ 4 Stars

Karla says: My god…what a turn on, Misbehaving is a manual in itself. Read this with your other half…or go out and find someone willing, appealing and sexy like Ben, it could prove to be some of the best sex you've ever had!
Tiffany Reisz ventures away from the dark side and takes a walk on the light side, but still keeps it hot! I’m a huge fan of hers and know what an amazing talent she is, and once again she showcases her crazy good, mad writing skills in Misbehaving. She has an innate ability to mix humor and sex…very erotic sex...and leaves that characteristic trademark all over this book!
If you’re a fan of this author, you’re going to want to grab this book right away, and if you’re a newbie to her writing, Misbehaving is great place to start and pop your Tiffany Reisz cherry! ~ 4.5 Stars!

This is a romantic comedy novella based off of the Shakespeare story, Much Ado About Nothing, with a splash of erotica. (I admit to never reading MAAN so this was new to me.) Fans of the Original Sinners should know this novella is lighter and tamer than what they’re probably used to reading by Tiffany Reisz. This is a whole new side to Tiffany I’ve never read before—and I loved it.

Sexy, feisty, and fearless, Beatriz writes a column where she reviews sex toys and books. She’s been stuck with reviewing a sex position manual called “The Joy of Sex for Generation Y!”, while attending her sister’s wedding. (I’m honestly envious of her job!) Her options for finding a man aren’t looking good at the moment. But gorgeous, smart, and confident Ben, who is also the best friend of her soon to be brother-in-law and part of the wedding party, will be there and might be her only option. She also has history with Ben. He is the guy Bea fell hard for in college five years ago and she’s resistant to hook up with Ben ever since he rejected her, leaving her humiliated and hurt, after she gave herself to him... naked. But there is a good reason behind Ben’s rejection. When the truth is revealed, Bea and Ben give into their sexual craving for one another and get their sex on, one chapter and orgasm at a time - many, many times.

“I like this book. It’s nice and friendly and tells me to touch your clit. I appreciate that.”
“So does my clit.”

I really enjoyed the sexy dynamic between Ben and Beatriz. They have molten hot chemistry together. Plus, a whole lot of playful and snarky banter that had me laughing and smiling non-stop. Bea needed help and Ben was game to help her with her review. It was a chance for both of them to make up for lost time and fuck like bunnies. Hell, yeah. These two are scorching hot and burned up the sheets over and over and over. I love how involved and open Ben was about all this. But hey, he is a man with a penis. What man wouldn’t want to try out the many different sexual positions with a sexy and confident woman? Oh, but, beyond the sex, there is more to this couple and Bea’s book review. Feelings and emotions begin to develop and a deep connection between them blossoms.

Besides the fun and sexy times with Bea and Ben, there are some great side characters featured within the story. We get to know Bea’s sister, Carolyn, and her fiancé, Henry, who play a large role in how Bea and Ben get together. Also, part of the story is from their perspective that added more fun and depth to the story. And then there is the hilarious bell hop, who reminded me of the guy from the movie “Four Rooms.”

Misbehaving was pure sexy entertainment from start to finish. This novella is funny, snarky, sweet, and super duper naughty. I do love naughty! Tiffany Reisz pulled off romantic comedy quite well and I’m salivating for her to write more in this genre. I love how Tiffany Reisz excels at writing sexually confident and strong heroines and delicious alpha males that can handle them. She also infuses within the story her awesome ‘Reisz snark’ I’ve come to love. I thoroughly enjoyed and loved everything about this novella. I highly recommend it.

I don’t think I even read what this book was about before picking it up. Tiffany. Reisz. What else do I need to know? Being a HUGE, HUGE fan of her Original Sinners series, this was a must read for me.

Bea is a sex blogger headed to see her big sister, Claudia and her fiancé, Henry get married. As she’s running out the door, she gets a last minute assignment for a book review – being in a hurry she grabs the first package she sees. What’s the problem? It’s THE MANUALl, a hot new sex position book. So, Bea has lots of sex in her future but no partner. This is where Ben comes in.

Ben is Henry’s best friend and Bea hasn’t seen him since college. Since the night she offered herself up to him on a (naked) silver platter and he rejected her. It’s been five years and neither has forgotten about the other. They are both single and with no more than a shove in the right direction they are making up for lost time. And oh do they ever! *wink wink*

“I get it. I do. It’s for the best. You probably would have fucked me and forgotten about me like Henry though.” Beatriz grinned at him, a smile that said, “I’m just giving you a hard time.”
“But I didn’t fuck you, and I’ve never forgotten you.”

I adored this novella and it's clever play on Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing. Tiffany Reisz has such a way of writing sexually confident, interesting characters (Bea, Ben, Claudia, Henry & of course I can’t forget Keaton aka the best bellhop on the planet) and I feel that was no exception here. The whole cast of characters was funny, entertaining, with just enough depth packed into this short little story for me to really care about them. It’s definitely an erotic romance, with no details spared for the reader but it’s a light story and it had me cracking up like crazy.

“Can you be bribed?” Ben asked, deciding to cut through pretense.
“Yes. Yes, I can,” Keaton the bellhop said and gave Ben a jaunty salute.
“Good. Will a Jackson buy me a room number?”
“Tito?”
“Andrew.”
“Fine,” Keaton said. “But a Franklin would buy you five room numbers. And my R-E-S-P-E-C-T.”
“Do you actually work here or are you an escaped mental patient?” Ben asked.
“You really want to know?”

3.5 BEES!!

Misbehaving was an entertaining read. Why? Bea is a sex blogger (which is new and fresh and it will never happen in my country LOL) and super fun and open-minded person. I loved how her thinking. Her humor. Her sexy thinking.

Ben... Umm not so much. I hate how he was an ass back then. The present showed Ben is willing to become Bea's new partner for sex experiment. I liked their interaction. I loved how their sex turns out into something horny yet sexy.

For a novella, this is a good short read. Well-written and fast paced. No drama. Their issue doesn't bother me to continued this story. But I need more feeling when they're together. Still far from perfect. However, everything warped together with with a happy ending and rainbow. Fun and sexy read. Don't take this too serious and enjoy every chapter. But, I REALLY envy with her job. When do you get paid to have orgasm? LOL

4.5 hot and hilarious stars

I was looking for something funny, romantic, smutty, and with great banter, and this was absolutely perfect! It’s only short, but it has the trademark Tiffany Reisz feel – the story is fast paced, the writing is clean and tight, and it’s so incredibly witty. It’s sexy dirty with unapologetically highly-sexed characters, and fantastic dynamics. And it’s absolutely freaking hilarious! I could not stop laughing, and was highlighting like crazy, so sorry, but I'm not sorry for being a total quote whore.

Beatriz is a sex blogger. She has been tasked with reviewing a new sex manual, and what better way to review a sex manual then to test it out – thoroughly! She is heading off to her sister’s wedding for a week, and decides that she’ll find a willing volunteer while she is away. And who should be staying in the same hotel as her as part of the bridal party, but the one that got away!

Ben was in college with Beatriz. They never hooked up, but there was electric chemistry between them from the moment they met. They haven’t seen each other for five years but Ben has never gotten over Bea, and when she asks if he’d be willing to ‘assist’ her with her research throughout the week, there is no way he can refuse.

“There are twenty-five positions in the book. We just need to try out about five of them to give a fair review.”
“Five?” Ben tried to mask his disappointment. As turned on as he was he could have tried out five tonight alone.
“Maybe more if we have time. I know you’re busy this week. I don’t want to impose on your cock.”
“Impose on it. Please.”
“Should we get started?”
“I will literally, actually, in reality die if we don’t.”

It’s quickly into the action (lots, and lots of ‘action’), and from the get-go they are outrageously open about everything that is going on between them. The matter of fact way they talk about sex had me laughing out loud.

“You can either hold me up by my ass or we can put pillows under my hips to raise them.”
“Let’s go for the pillows.”
“You think I’m too heavy to lift?” she asked with a wicked gleam in her eyes.
“No, I just want my hands free to play with your boobs.”
“Good point. This position is supposed to help the man ‘give the clit the attention it deserves’. That’s me quoting the book, by the way.”
“I like this book. It’s nice and friendly and tells me to touch your clit. I appreciate that.”
“So does my clit. Ready?”
Ben glanced down. He was more than ready.
“God, yes.”
“Alright,” Beatriz said. “Let’s do it.”

Being so intimate for the first time brings all of the old feelings between them roaring back to the surface (not that they were ever really buried to begin with), and soon the research isn’t just research anymore.

“I’ll see you at the lunch.”
“We can go in together,” he offered. “You know, like a date.”
“A date? Us? Together?”
“Is that weird?”
“Incredibly,” she said, but he saw the twinkle of amusement in her eyes.
“So no?” Ben asked.
“We’re not dating. We’re not a couple. I don’t want people to think something’s going on that isn’t,” she said.
Ben stared at her.
“I just came in your mouth.”
Beatriz glared at him.
“Okay, good point,” she said, smiling. “Lunch it is then.”

It’s hot as hell and shockingly funny with some sweet moments as well. And at the end of the week, will they be able to let each other go…?

Bea and Ben are fantastic characters! Both of them are confident, intelligent, outspoken, sexy, and incredibly witty! The dialogue between them was cracking, as was pretty much every conversation they had with others throughout the story (Keaton the bellhop is a riot!). The story is written in dual POV, which I loved, and Ben’s inner monologue, in particular, is sensational.

He usually never ate this much, but he figured he’d lost about two pounds in semen in the past twenty-four hours.

Chapter six on woman-on-top positions was my favourite. Because boobs.

And Claudia and Henry (the bride and groom) are just as entertaining as they scheme to bring Bea and Ben together, and add a little something extra to the story.

“Go talk to Ben.”
“Can I fuck my bride-to-be first please?”
“No. Ben first. Then me.”
“I have to fuck Ben first? Good thing he’s pretty.”

I absolutely loved this little story! It’s short, it’s fun, it’s angst-free and super-dirty and I finished it with a huge grin on my face. Tiffany Reisz proves, once again, that she is superb at what she does.

4.5 stars.

Oh this was a fun bit of erotica. Sexy latino Beatriz makes a living (and a hobby) out of writing reviews for various sex toys. Of course she has to try them all out in order to write an honest, proper opinion. Poor Beatriz.

When heading out to her sister's wedding, she gets her next assignment: to write a review on a sex position manual. However, it's not like a goodreads book review...like this one. She has to review the actual positions. Kinda hard to do that by your lonesome. That's when a second-chance romance makes an appearance and the rest is history. If you like creative spins on erotica, you've got to check this one out. It's short, fun, and it's Tiffany Reisz. You can't really go wrong.

My favorite quote:
"No sex position, no matter how well-written, can make up for the lack of a good partner. A good partner can make even awkward sex enjoyable. If the sex doesn’t work, at least you can laugh about it together."

This book was funny, steamy, sexy, amazing and just H-O-T

I love Tiffany Reisz's writing, She is my favorite author. Her work is always top class and amazing to read.
She has an amazing sense of humor, prevish and funny.
Her writing style has a great melody to it, which never fails to capture a readers attention.

This book was a short read, and a great read.
I only wish the starting was longer so we readers felt a stronger connect to the characters history and their background.

This book has some MAD one lines.. like they just killed it.

Ben gorged on lunch. He usually never ate this much, but he figured he’d lost about two pounds just in semen in the past twenty-four hours.

I haven't read or every seen any of Shakespeare work. So this story felt really nice and real to me.

Why was he always doing that? Walking away from her when she was naked? He considered this habit a personal failing, on par with heroin addiction or serial killing and something to be overcome as soon as possible. He’d get medical attention if necessary.

If you Sinners think this will be VERY light compared to TOS, don't worry.. it is light, but steamy too. :P
Miss. Reisz manages to bring her wacky humor into this book too.

“Sometimes I think I’m kinky because I fantasize about slapping you. And then I realize I really just want to slap you.”

P.S. Original Sinners fans—keep your eyes peeled for an inside joke only you Sinners will get.
I've read TOS like 10 times plus and I didn't seem to have found the inside joke. HELP!

A sex blogger in search of a sexual partner to test out a sexual manual to write a book review. Now why didn't I think of this? Beatriz is a sex blogger who is paid to review sex toys and books. She receives free sex toys. I'm still stuck on this part due to envy. Beatriz is attending Carolyn, her sister's wedding. Even though she's on vacation, she ends up having to work. It's a tough job, but someone has to do it. Ben, the boy who left her high and dry in college is also at the wedding. Sparks fly when they meet up.

Ms. Reisz is an excellent erotic writer. Her trademark seems to be female leads who are sexually comfortable in their own skin. In addition, they are sexually open and their occupation involves writing. It's good that Ms. Reisz what she knows, because the stories come across positive and well researched.

Ms. Reisz's characters are fun. In this light hearted erotic story, there are some nods to popular culture as well as amusing repartee. The two secondary characters, Carolyn and her fiancé bicker like an old married couple already.

“Good. Go talk to Ben.” [Carolyn]

“Can I fuck my bride-to-be first please?” [Henry]

“No. Ben first. Then me.” [Carolyn]

“I have to fuck Ben first? Good thing he’s pretty. You know he was bisexual for one week in college?” [Henry]

“Henry.” [Carolyn]

“And you can just get lost in those blue eyes. I call that color Chris Pine blue.” [Henry]

“Henry.” [Carolyn]

“I want to be the Spock to his Kirk. You know, the J.J. Abrams reboot, not the original series.” [Henry]
(loc. 310-314)

More examples of funny quips come from both Ben and Beatriz.

“I can’t read while you’re doing that. Your vagina has rendered me illiterate.” (loc. 494-495)

What I enjoy most about Ms. Reisz's stories is how she advocates healthy messages about sexual relations. In most cases, I agree with her stance.

When I’m having good sex, I’m the happiest, least violent person on earth. If people had more and better sex and felt less guilty about it, we’d live in a much better world.” (loc. 709-710)

No sex position, no matter how well-written, can make up for the lack of a good partner. A good partner can make even awkward sex enjoyable. If the sex doesn’t work, at least you can laugh about it together. A good partner makes sure you’re enjoying yourself as much as he’s enjoying himself. A good partner is adventurous, open-minded, willing to try anything his partner wants to try. (loc. 1352-1355)

Then why is this only a three star rating? I didn't feel much for the two main characters. Even though this book is about "getting it on", the sex in it was rather tame and boring compared to other Ms. Reisz books. While I can admire Beatriz's occupation, her behaviour leaves much to be desired. Ben is also a forgettable character. The one who stole the show is the kinky quirky bellhop. Let's get more of him! He reminds me of the bellhop from Four Rooms. Still, this book is a fun and light read. It's a good introduction to Ms. Reisz. Recommended for romance readers who love lost loves reunited.

Light & fluffy - great banter throughout thankfully,
as the story itself is just about a 3!

Sometimes it's easier to just show you...

So, boy meets girl

Boy dumps girl!
description

They meet again (no surprise there!)
description

Turns out girl writes for a sex blog and has to review a sex manual
by the end of the week (hmm, who could possibly help??!!)
description

Yeah! Boy helps with review...
description
description
description

There's loads of this...
description
That...
description

And the other...!!
description

There's an attempt at one of these...
description

But ultimately there's a happy one of these!
description

And I definitely needed had one of these! Hic!

I don't for a moment think that this is the best book that Tiffany Reisz could write (although it's the only one I've read!)
and I doubt it'll win any awards.
But sometimes curling up in a chair (sans vodka!) with a funny, sexy read and not getting up until we get our HEA is okay too.

If that's what you're looking for, look no further - it's here!

5 big buzzing bees (or stars or whatever)

Miss Bea Haven

I have a confession …

Before this book, I was a Tiffany Reisz virgin …. I know …. shocking!

This novella was just so fun ...
”Sometimes I think I’m kinky because I fantasize about slapping you. And then I realize I really just want to slap you.”

and sexy ...
”I know you’re busy this week. I don’t want to impose on your cock.”
“Impose on it. Please.”
“Should we get started?”
“I will literally, actually, in reality die if we don’t.”

and funny …
”And you can just get lost in those blue eyes. I call that color Chris Pine blue.” … “I want to be the Spock to his Kirk. You know, the J.J. Abrams reboot, not the original series.”

Having been officially deflowered I can truly say that I loved every little minute of it!

Bea was moments from escaping and heading out of town for her sister’s wedding when she got the call. That dreaded call from work that requires you to work, while on vacation (the horror). But Bea doesn’t have a normal job, she has the wet dream of all dream jobs! Reviewing all things sex. But taking her work with her for the week means finding a partner so that she can get the full experience.

Ben walked away from a chance with Bea years ago. He was a senior, ready to take life by the horns while she was the freshmen that captured his attention. But all that chemistry went nowhere and all these years later, Ben is still hung up on that one girl.

So what are two once friends left to do? Hump like bunnies of course. With the easy excuse of work setting the pace for Bea, these two finally get their chance to scratch that itch.

What else can be said other thank I floved this story. Whether it’s a few hundred pages or just a few paragraphs of a bonus scene, if Tiffany Reisz is the one writing it, I’m going to read it. Bea’s character was sexy but more than that – she was humorous. Ben had his solid delivery of one-liners.

”Best to simply relax and take it. This, incidentally, was her philosophy of anal sex as well.”

“I like this book. It’s nice and friendly and tells me to touch your clit. I appreciate that.”

“If you masturbated while reading about me masturbating I might have to masturbate while imagining you masturbating about me masturbating.”

Not only is this a comical sexy bit of erotica that kept you entertained; the second chance at love element had me all smiles as these two found their way to each other after five long years.

Oh god, this was so much fun!
Steamy and funny, I needed this.
I laughed so hard with this

"Worth a shot. Anything to get me out of the doghouse and into doggie style.”
“Good. Go talk to Ben.”
“Can I fuck my bride-to-be first please?”
“No. Ben first. Then me.”
“I have to fuck Ben first? Good thing he’s pretty. You know he was bisexual for one week in college?”
“Henry.”
“And you can just get lost in those blue eyes. I call that color Chris Pine blue.”
“Henry.”
“I want to be the Spock to his Kirk. You know, the J.J. Abrams reboot, not the original series.”
“Henry!” Claudia flicked his nose—hard.
“I’m going. I’m going. Don’t start without me"

Seriously, it was amazing!

Lots of fun.

Lots of laughs.

Lots of kinky f*ckery.

Highly recommended. *4/5 stars*

Side note: I'd be remiss if I didn't state that in addition to all of the sexy fun, this novel DOES indeed emphasize an important message. It encourages women to embrace their sexuality & all of the freedoms that society affords us... because sadly, women living in oppressive nations aren't nearly as fortunate. Definitely words to live by & a wonderful reminder of the freedoms that we so often take for granted. Thank you, Tiffany Reisz.
