An exceptional account of the Afrikaners and the country told by a historian who lived both in the apartheid Era and democracy. It enriched my understanding of South African history, and the beliefs, fallacies, fears, constraints and that shaped the Afrikaners. It also addresses the possible demise of this White South African tribe.
